This is my first fan-fic and is about several worlds that converge together, introducing many characters, and some that aren't even custom, the Prologue is how you'll decide if your interested, and yes, there will be dueling as well as lots of other versions of battling. Every now and then I will need a new character and you guys can post characters, I won't use them all but i'll rep the ones I do use.
Prologue
How could I have been so stupid? Only the fate of the world is at stake. Not just our world either. Maybe if I would have just ran, and not have done the experiment. Ha, this is just like a classic movie, only this time, it's real.
"Gordon! Whats going on in there?" The nightguard walked through the hallway of the infamous Black Mesa. The wall were dented and scorch marks covered the floor. It's like a bomb went off in here.
The guard had been on duty when it happened, but wasn't as unlucky as his friends. Most were killed from the earthquake-like force that shook through the building during the Resonance Cascade. Some were killed by the aliens that stormed through the facility shortly afterwards.
When he reached the end of the hallway the sight terrified him. Gordon Freeman was never one to stand around while something terrible was happening. But as the guard reached him, he dissapeared in a flash of green lightning, but the guard was still not alone.
Another infamous figure turned toward the guard, "Ahh, Mister Calhoun, I see you have made it through alive. However, I feel obliged to tell you that, you are not my top priority."
The guard thought this rediculous. "Then who is your top priority?"
"Mister Freeman of course, but there's an entire list above you. Would you like to hear it?"
"Very much, yes. I'd want to know who you care more about than me."
"Don't get me wrong Mister Calhoun, I will watch out for you, but I cannon garuntee your survival. Now, for the list. It all starts with Gordon Freeman. Then I would include Adrian Shepard, followed by the two scientists who led this experiment."
"Eli and Isaac."
"Precisely, I may even pluck Alyx from the facility as well."
"Above me?"
"No, you will be above Alyx, but that is all I intend to save."
"Good, I was getting worried you might not want to let Magnusson die."
"I said that is all I intend to save."
"Alright, now where did you send Gordon?"
"Gordon works for me now, as soon will you and Shepard, in fact, Shepard will destroy this facility."
"That doesn't answer my question."
"Fine, I sent Gordon to the safekeeping of Xen, for the time being. He will not be bothered."
"What will happen to him."
"Well, he will be the savior of the world."
Then the figure vanished. And did not come back. The guard took a look around the hallway. It was poorly lit, with half the lights busted out. The water cooler by the rec room door was in perfect shape.
Great, now I can have some refreshment before I die.
