this is a story composed almost entirely of new characters. As the story progresses, this post will be edited.
The story takes place 5 years after Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. The place where the story takes place is at the Duelist Prep. School that Chazz Princeton went to before entering Duel Academy, although it has now become Duel Academy Prep. The students are split into three dorms like DA: Uria Ruby, Hamon Amber, Raviel Sapphire. The school uniform is a vest with black on the shoulders and either crimson, yellow-orange, or azure everywhere else, along with a detachable hood. the girl's uniform is slightly different (all black sections are white and the vest is a bit shorter)

I am planning four... how shall I say... seasons... for this story. Each will contain 40 chapters, adding up to a grand total of 160.
I got Anime Studio and Manga Studio, so I will indeed start trying to animate this.

Character Design: Riko’s main outfit consists of the standard Uria Ruby vest, unzipped with a green shirt underneath. His dark brown hair is sectioned in two layers, with the front layer hanging out to the right a little (in a nutshell, he has hairstyle 1 and face 10 from Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2008 ). His eyes are positioned right under the front layer. He wears black fingerless gloves on his hands. He carries Haou the Supreme King’s Duel Disk on his left hand.
Bio: Riko is a fun-loving carefree duelist. He was originally in Raviel Sapphire, but was demoted to Uria Ruby when his grades slipped in seventh grade. Despite his hothead temper, he is shown to be more of a pacifist, having never fought in his life. While he’s usually cheerful and happy, he is easily depressed when something goes wrong.
Deck: Riko uses a Blade Hero Deck, composed of a new set of Hero monsters. He apparently treasures it.
Trivia: Riko’s character seems to be based off of both Jaden Yuki and Yugi Mutou. Like Yugi, he refuses to fight and treasures a Deck. Like Jaden, he’s usually cheerful and is placed in the lowest dorm due to grades. He is also connected to Haou the Supreme King (in this case, his Duel Disk).

His dark brown hair is sectioned in one layer, which just sits on top of his head. His eyes are positioned a little bit below his forehead and he occasionally wears glasses. He carries an Academy-issued Duel Disk on his left hand.
Bio: David’s Deck is the same as his ego; both are hard to deal with. He is the new kid who met Riko when he was reviewing his Deck. He is known to insult people, but Riko knows he doesn’t really mean it. His enormous skill in dueling is shown; he is in the Raviel Sapphire dorm and is one of the few duelists who can defeat Riko.
Deck: David uses two decks, both being Beatdown Decks. The second one (which he calls his strong deck) contains monsters whose ATK points don’t go lower than 1800 (with the exception of Jowls of Dark Demise and Cat’s Ear Tribe). His strongest card in his first (weak) deck is Giga Gagagigo and his strongest card in his strong deck is Frostosaurus, which adds to the challenge of beating both.
Trivia: David’s last name is Italian for Power.

Bio: Matt is a skilled Hamon Amber student and a childhood friend of Riko. It has also been shown that he is never discouraged; when David told him his deck was horrible, he redesigned it, and it eventually gained enough to power to both promote him to Hamon Amber and occasionally beat Riko.
Deck: Matt’s deck is a mix between Water and Dark. It involves using the powers of A Legendary Ocean and Mystic Plasma Zone to increase his monster’s strength. It also includes the Silent Swordsman series, which Riko traded to him for Jinzo. He uses Reinforcement of the Army to always search out either Dark Blade or Silent Swordsman LV3.

Bio: Rose is a friend of Riko’s. He has a crush on her, and is constantly trying to figure out if she likes him. She is at Duel Academy Prep. to learn how to build Duel Disks. She is currently working on a new-generation Duel Disk.
Deck: It is unknown if Rose duels as of yet.
Trivia: Rose's name comes from two places. Her original name was Amy Rhodes, and she was intended to be Alexis's sister/cousin/daughter. This was dropped when it beared a resemblance to Amy Rose. However, Rose became her first name. Her last name comes from the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Bio: Jesse is a smart duelist, Riko’s best friend, and one of the least popular students at the school. He is a beginner duelist. He has a good Deck, but loses faith in it whenever he loses a heavy amount of cards.
Deck: Jesse runs an Insect Deck. It relies mainly on the speed of insects to get more powerful.
Trivia: His last name is Japanese for insect.

Bio: Nick is a duelist and a friend of Riko’s. His decks are known to be powerful, but they lack the support any Deck needs. Nick can be stubborn and sometimes plays by his own rules.
Deck: Nick’s Deck changes depending on the situation. If it’s a duel where it won’t matter whether he wins or loses, he uses a Fairy Deck containing the Majestic Mechs. If the duel is serious, then he uses an Alien Deck, which proves to be pretty powerful.

Bio: These duelists are the bottom of the barrel of the Dark Duelists, the biggest criminal gang in the world.
Deck: While it varies among duelist, all Dark Duelists use Dark Monsters.
Trivia: The Dark Duelists were originally going to have only 13 members. This was changed when it showed too much of a resemblance to Organization XIII.
