Nowadays, it is practically pointless to be racist anymore. Given the current era, people have been cross-breeding people with people of different races. My great-grand mother was apparently either an Indian herself or descended from Indian ancestry. Therefore, I'm 1/8 Indian.

As a Singaporean, racial harmony is important. The education system has stressed a lot on racial harmony as Singapore is a multi-racial country. Any disharmony formed among the people may cause chaos upon Singapore, as shown in the early 1960s racial riots.

In my town, I dont have to worry about racism. 1/4 of my town is asian, 1/2 of my town is caucasian, and the rest is mixed. I know that racism exists, but many people who live in a situation like mine, simply cannot embrace racism. I wouldn't be socially acceptable.

The actions must be removed, and the others should not be removed until we educate the public better to understand the harms of it, and wipe it out internally instead of banning it, which will just make it worse.

Racism is still a problem in America almost every one is prejudice toward middle easterners and Asians. You can't ban racism it is a terrible close-minded way of life, but if you are racist it is usually because you have no free will and follow the leader blinded by ignorance. If unfair treatment is found in any form such as Racism, sexism, homophobia, or religious prejudice it should be stopped, but you can punish a person for being in idiot.

Racists aren't ignorant, since they need a founded reason to be racist. Racism is; As it's currently used in contexts that have nothing to do with the original meaning. American's are the stereotype capital, not the racist one. (Seriously, Is anyone black in America not considered African-American? O.o.) Also, just to be harsh, you stereotyped racist people. "Close-Minded Lifestyle", You know, Racism isn't exactly a lifestyle, it's an opinion. Look at what you type when you try to sound smart, buddy. Oh god. It is more than an opinion when it affects your life and the lives of others. Any form of discrimination is based on ignorance because if you were fully informed you would have no reason to discriminate. I hate the idea not the people it is not their fault (Most of the time) it is usually forced upon by the parents. You have no right to call me a hypocrite you know nothing about me and further more you really should learn how to debate with out attacking me and your opinion is invalid. Most racist people who are racist are so because of influence. Ignorance does not mean "retarded" it means misinformed or you know nothing about a certain topic. Calling just an opinion is an understatement it has affected people throughout the ages of time and can develop into an obsession. Racism is an unfair opinion of a certain race that affects you life! There is not a "founded reason" to be racist it is almost always caused by the child’s parents or the attitude that a certain race is beneath you just so you can say a race is beneath you. I am not saying all Americans are Racist but quite a few are and it is a problem that needs to be adressed. Every country has racist problems and America is one of the most fair countries, but still we should take notice.

Okay, I am getting in this debate, partially, to spread my views, and otherwise, to get my intellegence challenged my 2sick4u.

Racism is still around. At least here it is. People of different races dont/rarely communicate with eachother if not neccessary.

Our issues in my town, are that:

Our town is roughly 45% white. Whites make up most of the regular jobs in the town.

Our town is roughly 40% black. Blacks, make up most of the jobs in the city, miles away. Or, in the local fast food joints.

Our town is 8% Hispanic, thy are there, they make up some of the little jobs, they usually work in bars or something.

Our town is 7% Asian. We recently had a large family of people from India, move into my town. They run most of our bussinesses.

Because of this, the hispanics < blacks < whites < Indians.

Everyone, ends up hating eachother, because of, [in my view], the Indians.
They feel excluded, because everyone hates them, so they hate everyone back.

They took our jobs, and practically, left the hispanics in town, living in the 'ghetto' and without jobs, which makes them hate all of us.

Our town is racist. The very end of it there. We dont really hate eachother anymore because of the colours of our skins, but for the way each of us all live.

Sure, here in America, you have freedom of speech, but it does not apply, because you would not say anything like that to someone of the other race, due to the fact, that you may find yourself in the hospital, or in the cemetary.

2.) I agree mostly with the rest you said here. Racism cannot truly be defined. Though I have experienced it, (being called the "n" word several times and being "hated" for being such) it isn't truly ignorance.
