I know this goes in debates but I have tried to Post the Topic twice with no luck......

Most people regard the Mona Lisa as a Artform. People say that Anime like Death Note are astounding due to the Art Direction it took. Now I want to know why Hentai cannot be accepted as a Artform. Yes I know that Pornography isn't a Artform either but you have to DRAW Hentai and I have seen some absolutly astounding works of Art even better then the Anime it is Imitating. My question is this. Will Hentai ever be accepted as a Artform? Or will it always be cursed by the name "Anime Porn"

Actually it is an art form. Its a picture depicting a sexually explicit act. It may be considered very inapropriate, but it is what it is. It is pornography though, so that's why they don't post it up in art galleries and stuff. Honestly anime is a very entricate type of design. But hentai is already considered an art genre. So technically, it already is recognized as an art.

Hentai isnt considered an artform do to the fact that its computer graphical
if you can actually draw it, and make it look good
then i might consider it art
but from where i stand, niether Death Note, Nor hentai is an artform -.-"

I just brought this subject up as sometimes I look at Hentai Images and stare at them for a good 10 Minutes not for the Sexual Stimulation but due to how good the Art is. And the reason I mentioned Death Note is due to the fact I love the Art style to it.

But isn't drawing on the Computer the same as drawing by hand? You have to create the Image which means you are drawing Art even if it is by Mouse.

What they probably do (because they do this with normal cartoons) Is sketch out the drawings and scan them up onto a computer. Then they probably animate them using some program that can sort through them and put them in the right way and sort out any flaws with drawings.

But the truth is, it IS an art form without a doubt. Just like pornography or classical music. They are both genres, labeling them as a type of art.
