Anyway PR (Planetrenders) have been discussing this so i wanna see who's gonna do better.
Alright, the Mayans for start were one of the most advanced cultures so far and they are really famous for the early discoveries and achievements.

I don't think they would all of a sudden end their calender thinking "meh i'll finish it tomorrow" or " that's a long time, we'll be dead before reaching there" or some s*** like that, also the end of the thirteenth B'ak'tun. That still doesn't mean the end of the earth but it certainly tells us something will end, again on 2012 it's said that the worlds population will reach 7 billion and please don't go on telling me that a healthy figure, it isn't. It might as well be overpopulation. Soltice occurs on 21st as well and that has to mean something.
Again maybe were understanding things wrong, it maybe the beginning of the end and not exactly the end date itself. First of all the "Solar Storm" is confirmed yet it's date isn't conformed meaning it may occur in 2010-2011 but it may also occurs on 2012.

So you see it's not yet confirmed meaning it's possible for it to start earlier proving the whole damn thing as "Blasphemy" or just mean that the whole thing and the start of the 2012 and also we know that the Solar Storm won't just stay for like 2 hours, Magnetic storms usually last 24 to 48 hours and sometimes for many days meaning something bad will start. Also Solar Storms are supposed to be gay to said to be hazardous to satellite and we all know that the world will go in a state of confusion and terror

Also they never said "the world will end in 2012" nor was the sole reason the Mayan calender but many calenders also end in 2012 like the Chinese calender and also the Solar Storm is though to be a reason contributing to the worlds end.
i don't really know how they predicted it by they did and so far there has been numerous stuff to back it up.
