Can a perfect society exist? Many will say that a comunnist society would be perfect, but is it true?
In my opinion there can be no perfect society as there is no perfect human.
Discuss.
Society isn't a human, right?

Communism is the least bound to failure than any other system.
There's no such thing as perfect so to say perfect society you would need the following:

All Children with a 4.0+ GPA.
• Drug-Free.
• No Sickness whatsoever.
• High Income Homes.
• Children are nice, playful, and love to learn.
• All teachers come from the highest colleges and have earned their masters.
• Technology is second to none in the society
• Government and Citizens have equal powers
• No Crime
• No Corruption
• And Probably more than just what i've listed.
Static already answered this question. You would have to create a mass genocide killing and sterolizing people who weren't healthy or right for the society.
In life, perfection is next to impossible.
Even if it were possible, it can only be achieved by destroying over 2/3 of the world who would be flawed & unsuitable for the perfect new world order.
As long as humans are flawed, nothing is perfect. And we all are flawed in some way. That's what makes us unique.

All generalities based on biased perception... Invalid Statement.

Next to impossible? Says whom? A majority? And what of the others that believe otherwise?
That breaks perfection in itself....

I say that we are already in the perfect society, its just most of us are too into ourselves to realize it.

Yes this statement was biased but it brought up a hearty point.

Error: This current society is still imperfect.

Terrorists are attacking everywhere & everyone in cold blood.
Several people are still making weapons of mass destruction secretly.

The perfect society will never exist...NEVER!!
Still didnt kill my point that the possibility that this society is perfect already in itself... (someone has to have the logic to defeat this right?)...

I believe a perfect society falls under an individuals category for "Perfect."
However, for the most literal interpretation, an inept society would involve one that contains the balance of opinions. Albeit mentally, psychologically, Religiously.. etc. We'd all need an universal truth, so to speak. With one, wars and such based upon differences in opinion cannot happen, provoking a peaceful, which some would call, perfect society.
Very Happy.
Icy would get that.

*Now that I re-read this, It might seem like I'm on crack. All those that feel the same way, don't try to counter this. Smile.*

We most certainly are not in a perfect society. Perfect would mean that every aspect of the society would be the best, and could not possibly improve. There's always room for improvement.

We have an advanced society; not a perfect society.
@2sick4u: I do understand that but there is a simpler way to explain it..

@Willie: Improvement in itself speaks that one thing is better than another. In this "Perfect Society" (when I do direct quotes like that I am emphasizing) not one thing is better than another. So that would null your statement based on the goal.

But you got the closest so kudos Wink

So basically what you are describing is communism. Neutral

Perfection is what you want it to be. It depends on what your definition of perfect is. I could consider 1 thing to be perfect and then you look at it and go "What the f***?". Perfection can not be attained in a society of people because there's never going to be a time when people consider everything to be perfect. However to an individual, one might find something to be perfect.
It would need to be a "Brave New World," but with simply a more sensible philosophic backing to make it more sound.

Quantum Physics FTW!
And what if others are not capable of those thoughts? Simple but as stable yes?... There would be a lot of assumed so that everyone had a degree to understand no matter the age or mentality...
They would have to just believe it and not question it. [A large portion of] The human race is already programmed to do this.
For any of you who have taken psych classes (if any).
Perfection is an illusion created by the mind to achieve the impossible.

Perfection would suggest that nothing more can be improved upon, which as we know is never the case.

Look at the telegraph, now cellular telephones.
Look at radio, 8-tracks, the automobile, factories, work environments.

Perfection is an illusion. Everything can always be improved upon. It is an endless cycle. Something is improved, we work to make a better improvement.

Look at computers. They used to take up half a gymnasium, now you can fit them on your cell phone.

There is no such thing as perfection. It is an unobtainable illusion of the mind, created to give mankind hope of happiness because they cannot be happy with what they have.

Perfection is a matter of opinion. Perfection does exist; but only if you want it to. If you think something is perfect, then it is perfect to you. Perfection is existent, it's just not something everybody can meet an agreement on.

You sir, have too much ambition. You are looking at it from a sociological view when you should be looking at it from a psychological, self oriented view.

^^ Saying what Willie said, but with more words, and including a perception.
