Everyone do you know elemental hero thunder giant. I was discussing the effect that can only be used on your turn and I said it can be used during both yours and opponents turns.

"Once per turn, by discarding 1 card from your hand, select and destroy 1 face-up monster on the field."

Both, a turn is a turn, also, only a idiot would say opponent.

"Once per turn" effects usually only work on your turn, unless otherwise stated.

It's an Ignition effect; it can only be used during the Main Phase of your own turn. This is a basic game mechanic and is not up for dispute.
