Now I summon "Synchronized Dark Tuner Angerouge"(LV2/DARK/Fiend/Dark Tuner/ATK/0 DEF/0) Now I'm Dark Tuning my "Synchronized Dark Tuner Shockrouge"(LV9) with my "Synchronized Dark Tuner Doubtrouge"(LV3) and thanks to "Reverse-Synchronized Realm"(s) effect, "Doubtrouge"(s) level is -3, so I Dark Synchro Summon "Reverse Synchronized Dragon"(LV-12/DARK/Dragon/Dark Synchro/Dark Tuner/ATK/4100 DEF/3600) Now I activate the effects of my "Synchronized" monsters. "Shockrouge" inflicts 1200 points of damage to you. (Nick: AAARGH!!/ LP 5100) "Doubtrouge" returns that 1 card in your hand to the top of your Deck. "Angerouge" lets you lose 300 LP. (Nick: LP 4800) "Fearouge" returns 1 monster you control to your hand, so goodbye "Zeo". (Nick says: No!) Now "Reverse-Synchronized Shark" attack him directly. (Nick counters: No way! I activate the trap "Spirit Sacrifice", when this card is activated, by sending 1 "Chaos Spirit" monster from my Deck to my Graveyard, the Battle Phase ends, so I send "Chaos Spirit Darklight"(LV5/DARK/Spirit/Effect/ATK/1600 DEF/1500) to the Graveyard.) In that case, I activate my second face-down trap, "Reverse-Synchronized Blast", when this card is activated, I can select 1 "Reverse-Synchronized" monster I control and you take damage equal to the ATK of the selected "Reverse-Synchronized" monster, so I choose "Reverse-Synchronized Dragon". Nick was battered down in pain and his mouth was dripping with blood, but he didn't look that much close to the verge of dying.

("Link". thought Nick weakly and in pain. "I will break the hold the Dark Signers have on you. If I can draw the card I need, I'll be able to turn this around.)

Nick had a serious look on his face, which then unleashed his powers of the Chaos Realm. He used his power to heal the wounds brought upon him by that attack so that he could finish this 1 last play.

I draw. I activate the effect of "Chaos Spirit Darklight", since he's in my Graveyard, I can Normal Summon 1 LV5 or higher "Chaos Spirit" monster or "Zeo The Chaos Warrior" without tributing, so I summon "Zeo The Chaos Warrior"(LV7/LIGHT/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/2200) Now I play another "Level Draw", so I pay 500 LP (Nick: LP 200) and select "Zeo", so I draw 3 cards. (Nick: Hand: 3) (Nick thinks: Yes!) I activate the Equip Spell "Weapon Copy", when this card is equipped to a monster, I can select another Equip Spell from my hand, Deck, or Graveyard and this card takes the name and effect of the selected Equip Spell, so I select the "Chaos Sword" Equip Spell from my Graveyard, which means "Zeo" gains 1000 ATK. Plus the 1000 ATK he gets from "Chaos Realm". (2500 + 1000 + 1000 = 4500 ATK) Now I equip him with "Zeo Strike", which gives him 800 more ATK. (4500 + 800 = 5300 ATK) Now "Zeo The Chaos Warrior" destroy his "Reverse-Synchronized Dragon" one more time! And thanks to "Zeo"(s) effect, he gains 500 ATK during battle. (5300 + 500 = 5800 ATK) (Link: LP 5400) And thanks to the effect of "Zeo Strike", you take damage equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster. (Link: AAAAAAAAARGHH!!!!/ LP 1300) Now I activate my second face-down, "Weapon Destruction", when this card is activated, I can destroy 1 Equip Spell Card equipped to a monster, then the monster that was equipped with the destroyed Equip Spell can attack again, so I destroy "Chaos Sword" (5300 - 1000 = 4300 ATK) and "Zeo The Chaos Warrior" destroy his "Reverse-Synchronized Shark" and end this! (Link says: NOOOOOOO!!!!)

Link fell to the ground on his back as the ring of fire blew away and the spider crawled out of his sleeve and dispersed into nothing.

"Link!" yelled Nick as he ran to him.

Everyone ran to Link to see if he was okay.

"Link say something." said Nick. "Are you okay?"

"That was..." said Link weakly. "UNREAL!!" yelled Link all hyped up.

"AAH!" screamed Nick. "Don't do that! All of us were really worried about you."

"Sorry." said Link.

"Excuse me, sir." said MECH. "I've analyzed the Deck used in your Duel just like you asked."

"What?!" said Nick.

"You see, before our Duel just now, I asked MECH to scan the whole Deck when I got posessed." said Link. "I mean before I got posessed, I asked MECH to scan the whole Deck to see if the sample of darkness I got affected the Deck in any way, so that I could make a replica Deck of it."

"By the way, here is your new "Synchronized" Deck, sir." said MECH as he handed the Deck to him by bringing out its metallic claw from the wall with the Deck in it.

"Yes!" yelled Link. "Check it out. It even has the cards I never used in the Duel."

"So just to be clear, there is no trace of darkness in that Deck?" asked Nick.

"Nope. Just fresh-made created cards." said Link. "Now I have the power of Tuner & Dark Tuner. I can't wait for the tournament."

"In that case, I'm gonna sign up for it now before we go back to the hotel." said Nick. "But I do know one thing. The Dark Signers have awakened again. And this time, we're gonna be the ones to stop them and D.C.Q. Are you with me?"

"Yeah!" yelled everyone.

"So Link, when is the tournament?" asked Nick.

"2 days from now." said Link. "And you get to be on teams."

"How many people do we need?" asked Rein.

"Any number you choose to stop with." said Link.

"So that means it's anyones race." said Nick. "Alright, let's go register now before we turn in." said Nick as everyone walked upstairs.

Meanwhile somewhere in Neo Domino City:

"So this is the Boy of Chaos I've heard so much about." said a voice. "He's quite strong as you said, D.C.Q."

"So will you let us help you in your plan to destroy Neo Domino?" asked D.C.Q. in Peter's body.

"As you wish." said the voice. "But I've only seen the Boy of Chaos' strength. I want to see how his little friends do against the power of us Dark Signers. Which is why we're going to enter the tournament at the Kaibadome."

Then a glowing, purple birthmark appeared on the person's arm. It had the Condor Geoglypth on it.

"As you say, Wiraq." said D.C.Q.

Card of the Day: "Synchronized Dark Tuner Shockrouge"

The sky turned sunset and everyone from Nick and Brad's school found their way back to the hotel thanks to the help of the schools floating security camera's. While everyone went back to the hotel, Nick and the gang, along with Link, went to the store where they sign up for the tournament.

"Here we are." said Link. "Neo Domino's best card shop."

They all went in and went to the front desk.

"What can I do you for?" asked the manager.

"We're here to sign up for the Duelist Rising Tournament." said Nick. "How do we register?"

The manager pushed a button on the desk and a holographic blank I.D. form popped up in front of Nick. And a scanner under the I.D. form came out.

"Just say your name and place your ace card on the scanner. That way we can verify what kind of Deck you'll be using." said the manager. "If you have another ace card for another Deck, you can also use it in the tournament."

"Then that means you can have Deck Recipies." said Nick. "So that when you're facing a different opponent and you've seen what they can do, you can go and change Decks before the Duel. Nice! Anyways, my name is Nick Cunningham." said Nick as he placed "Zeo The Chaos Warrior" on the scanner.

"Nick Cunningham?!" yelled the manager. "You're the Boy of Chaos! It's an honor to meet you again."

"Calm down, Manny." said Nick. "Right now I'm here as a civilian and a now contestant of the Duelist Rising Tournament. Alright, Rein. Your turn."

But before Rein was about to be next, an explosion happened outside.

"What the.." said Nick. "Come on!"

They ran outside and heard a yell.

"Stop in the name of the law!" yelled Security.

They then saw a kid, about Nick's height, running past them that looked like he was made of digital bits and he was wearing armor that looked like Tron's armor.

"Stop thief!" yelled Nick as he ran after him.

"Materialize! Digital Shotgun!" said the thief as a shotgun materialized in his hand.

"What?!" yelled Nick. "Did he just say..."

The man shot the gun and out came what looked like a digital meteor and it hit Nick dead in the chest, then it dispersed.

"OOF!!" said Nick as he got hit. "I'm not going down that easily!" said Nick as he recovered quickly and ran after him again.

"Later." said the thief as he dispersed into 4 trails of digital bits and escaped through computers in a store.

"How did he..." said Rein as him and the gang saw.

("That weapon was..." thought Nick. "No doubt about it that it's him.")

Sector Security came just in time.

"Argh! He got away again!" yelled a Security Officer.

"Nice to see you too, Trudge." said Nick.

"Huh? Well if it isn't Chaos Boy." said Trudge angrily. "You let him escape, didn't you?!"

Just then headlights shined on Trudge and Nick and when the lights dim, a red Duel Runner came out of the light.

"He didn't let him escape, Trudge." said a voice "Believe me. I know Nick. And he wouldn't do that."

"Oh. Hey Yusei." said Nick.

"I don't trust him one bit, so why do you?!" yelled Trudge.

"Fine. If you don't trust me, I'll make you trust me." said Nick. "Who is the thief? What places did he hit? And what did he steal?"

"His name is Cyberyn." said Yusei. "And so far, he's hit 2 of the 3 Sector Security buildings. We think he'll strike for the third tonight. And what he's stolen, well we're entirely sure. All we know is that all the Decks Security confiscated are still there. We don't know what cards he might've stolen, but I do know is that the last remaining cards are in the third building."

("Cyberyn? Him?" thought Nick. "But why?") "You've done a lot of investigating on this." said Nick. "Ever thought of joining Security?"

"No way. Not in this lifetime." said Yusei.

"How is explaining everything to you gonna make trust you?" asked Trudge.

"Because I'm using myself as bait for the last heist." said Nick. "I'll see to it that I'll get Cyberyn."

Later that night, Cyberyn broke into the third building through their computers by materializing himself as digital bits and reforming.

"Easiest break-in ever." said Cyberyn as he took the cards from the cabinet

Then the lights turned on.

"Oh I don't think so." said Nick

"Nick." said Cyberyn. "Hey man."

"Stop right there, thief!" yelled Security.

"Come on, man!" said Cyberyn as he grabbed Nick's hand and ran.

"Wait, Cyberyn." said Nick.

Cyberyn materialized himself and Nick into to digital bits and escaped into the computer.

"Heh, heh, heh." laughed Trudge. "Got him."

Nick was then inside cyberspace with Cyberyn and Nick's clothes changed into the same armor Cyberyn was wearing, except the armor Nick has is black and white. Just then, 4 firewalls boxed Nick and Cyberyn in.

"Crap!" said Cyberyn in a computerized voice. "They must've known we'd come this way."

"Cyberyn." said Nick in a computerized voice. "Why are the digital cards in Sector Security?"

"I don't know." said Cyberyn. "All I know is I tracked them down in all of Sector Security's buildings. They were stolen from me. Some of Security's goons just took me down for no reason and stole my cards. Beside the point, how do we get out of here?!"

"Well, judging by those Life Point gauges on the firewalls, we have to Duel, but this time only one of us can get out." said Nick.

"Well if you say so." said Cyberyn as he materialized his Duel Disk and so did Nick.

I draw. I summon "Digital Fighter"(LV4/EARTH/Warrior/Effect/ATK/1500 DEF/1200) Now I activate his effect, once per turn, I can put 1 Digital Counter on him. ("Digital Fighter": DC: 1) Next, I play the Continuous Spell "Digital Generator", at the End Phase of each of my turns, I can place 2 Digital Counter(s) on 1 "Digital" monster I control. Now I play the Field Spell "Digital Wasteland", when this card is activated, I can place 12 Digital Counter(s) on it. ("Digital Wasteland": DC: 12) And all "Digital" monsters I control gain 100 ATK & DEF for each Digital Counter on the field. Since there's 13, "Digital Fighter" gains 1300 ATK & DEF. (1500 + 1300 = 2800 ATK/ 1300 + 1200 = 2500 DEF) I play 2 cards face-down and end my turn. Now "Digital Generator"(s) effect activates, so I select "Digital Fighter". ("Digital Fighter": DC: 3) And "Digital Fighter" gains 200 more ATK & DEF. (2800 + 200 = 3000 ATK/ 2500 + 200 = 2700 DEF) (Cyberyn thinks: Sorry Nick. We did have some good times back then, but I have to win. And I'll do just that with the combo I just set up. It's an easy win.)

(Nick thinks: I knew it! And perfect timing, too.) (Cyberyn counters: I activate my "Digital Virus", it gains its effects equal to the number of Digital Counter(s) on the field. +2: I draw 2 cards. (Cyberyn: Hand: 2) +4: You discard 2 cards. (Nick: Hand: 4) +6: It negates the card effects on my opponent's side of the field. +8: You take 1500 points of damage. (Nick: LP 6500) +10: You take 500 points of damage for each Digital Counter on the field and since there's a total of 15, you take 7500 points of damage! Behold! My "Digital Overload" OTK!!) Nice try. By discarding "Shining Kuriboh"(LV1/LIGHT/Fairy/Effect/ATK/300 DEF/200) from my hand, all Battle Damage and Effect Damage done to me becomes 0. (Cyberyn thinks: Crap! That's right. His "Shining Kuriboh". That's how he beat me the last time. But not this time.) I play the spell "Soul Creation", when this card is activated, I can select 1 or more monsters in my Graveyard and I can Special Summon 1 monster from my Deck whose level is equal to the combined levels of the selected monsters, so I select "Chaos Spirit Necron"(LV4/DARK/Spirit/Effect/ATK/1000 DEF/1000) and "Chaos Spirit Hydroc"(LV3/WATER/Spirit/Effect/ATK/700 DEF/600) Now I Special Summon "Zeo The Chaos Warrior"(LV7/LIGHT/Warrior/Effect/ATK/2500 DEF/2200) Now I equip him with my 2 favorite equip spells. "Chaos Sword" and "Zeo Strike". With both of them equipped to him, he gains a total of 1800 ATK. (2500 + 1800 = 4300 ATK) (Cyberyn counters: Now's the time to bring him out! I activate the trap "Digitized Creation", when this card is activated, I can select 1 "Digital" Synchro Monster from my Extra Deck and send to my Graveyard the Tuner Monster and the Material Monsters whose levels equal the level of the selected "Digital" Synchro Monster from my Deck or field to the Graveyard, so I'm tuning "Digital Fighter"(LV4) with my "Digital Mech"(LV2/LIGHT/Machine/Tuner/ATK/500 DEF/500), "Digital Magician"(LV4/LIGHT/Spellcaster/Effect/ATK/1400 DEF/1000), and my "Digital Guard"(LV2/LIGHT/Warrior/Effect/ATK/800 DEF/800). "Scattered throughout the entire Cyber realm, return and reform anew! Synchro Summon! Materialize! "Digital Dragon"(LV12/FIRE/Dragon/Synchro/Effect/ATK/4550 DEF/3500) Now his effect gives him Digital Counter(s) for every Digital Counter on the field and "Digital Wasteland" has 12 Digital Counter(s), he gets 12 Digital Counter(s). ("Digital Dragon": DC: 12) And thanks to "Digital Wasteland"(s) effect, he gains 100 ATK for each Digital Counter on the field and by combining their Digital Counter(s) together, he gains 2400 ATK. By removing "Shining Kuriboh" from my Graveyard, I can select 1 monster on the field and its ATK are doubled until the End Phase, so I choose "Zeo". (4300 x 2 = 8600 ATK) (Cyberyn says: No! I guess I lose here, huh?) No. We both lose. (Cyberyn says: What?) I play the spell "Last Call", when this card is activated, I can select 1 monster on the field with the strongest ATK and we both take damage equal to the ATK of the selected monster. (Cyberyn says: You had this planned all along?) Yes. Because I know you had a reason for all those heists you pulled. And I think I know how you were placed as the villain. Only one way to find out for sure. Go "Zeo"! END THIS!!

Then a white light flashed on them and they were transported out of cyberspace and into the streets of Neo Domino, but they were surrounded by Sector Security.

"Alright Cyberyn." yelled Trudge through a megaphone. "It's all over."

"Wait!" yelled Nick. "The reason he broke into all the buildings is because 3 of your own attacked him and stole his cards for no reason."

"And why do you say that?!" yelled Trudge. "Unless you're in league with him."

"Then tell me, did you hire any new recruits to help you with this case?" asked Nick.

"No way!" yelled Trudge.

"Yeah! Now quit stalling and hand him over and his Deck!" yelled a Security officer.

"Yeah!" yelled two more officers.

Nick held three cards in his hand.

"Sure..." said Nick as he threw the cards at the three officers and their helmets came off. "Dieon, Ty, and Eddie."

"Those are the guys that attacked me." said Cyberyn.

"What?!" yelled Trudge. "I don't remember hiring you three."

"Run!" said Dieon.

"Rein! Cody! After them." yelled Nick as he ran after them along with Cody & Rein.

They then followed them in an abandoned factory.

"Alright, we got you now." said Nick.

"No. We got you now." said Ty as the doors closed behind Nick, Cody, & Rein.

"What now?" said Cody as the lights turned on.

"A Duel." said Eddie.

Then shackles were put on their ankles.

"Hey what's going on?!" yelled Nick.

"Here's how this Duel will go." said Dieon. "A 3-team tag team Duel. We'll have a combined total of 24000 Life Points since it's 3 on 3. And for each Life Point we lose, you'll get one heck of a shock from those shackles you're wearing."

"So will you." said Nick.

"We know." said Ty. "Our master said that it will cause some emotional and physical pain for you. Especially emotional pain from Nick."

"So she's using my cousins for some kind of Shock therapy?!" yelled Nick.

"Nick calm down." said Rein.

"No! I won't calm down!" yelled Nick. "She's messed with my family for the last time!"

Rein punched him in the back of the head.

"OW!!" yelled Nick.

"That's just what she wants from you. Anger." said Rein.

"If you can't control it, you'll turn evil again like before." said Cody.

Nick struggled until he finally cooled down.

"Fine. We accept your challenge." said Nick. "Ready Rein?!"

"Ready!" yelled Rein.

"Cody?!" yelled Nick.

"Right!" yelled Cody as they all readied their Duel Disk.

"This is gonna be fun." said Dieon.

"You know it is." said Ty.

"Heh, heh, heh." laughed Eddie as they readied their Duel Disks.

"DUEL!" shouted everyone.
