Wild Fungi
My uncle makes wild mushrooms with rice, it tastes really good.
However, is it safe?
I'm not sure how many people die a year from fungi poisoning, but it's a quite scary amount.
Discuss.

RE: Wild Fungi
Not all wild mushrooms are poisonous, if your uncle knows which are and which are not, then it is completely safe.

And you can always buy him a mushroom book for his birthday.

This.

Also, if the mushroom is red and white, and makes you bigger when you eat it, chances are it's a druggie mushroom.

RE: Wild Fungi
You said he "makes" wild mushrooms. Makes meaning he grows 'em or plucks 'em from the ground?

RE: Wild Fungi
I've only eaten mushrooms on pizza. If I ever go to my uncle's house again, maybe I'll be able to try some stuffed mushrooms. My grandparents don't like much food outside of mexican and American foods (Burgers/Hot Dogs/etc.) My mom and grandmother like Chines food, and it's my favorite. My grandfather hates it though. Luckily, my mom and uncle eat this kind of food, so I can eat it when I'm with them. Any tasty foods I should put in the stuffed mushrooms? Maybe a spicy taste. No japalenos, or any peppers that are spicier than them. Maybe a Native American-ish foods that you can fix. Like rice and meat. Any good meat & rice combinations?

RE: Wild Fungi
If your uncle has been eating them for a while, it's probably safe.

He plucks 'em out the ground.
Apparently.

Mushrooms on pizza aren't wild.

RE: Wild Fungi
You're uncle probably knows what he's doing.
So I think your mushrooms are safe.

RE: Wild Fungi
I guess they're safe. But If you start feeling something, then you know you've been drugged.

They turned red, got white spots, and called themselves toadstools.
God knows why.
