Are you kidding me? Of all the characters we knew about from the very beginning, Aki was the last to show up! If the plot was rushed, we'd know who the Fifth Signer is by now.

Perhaps I've been seeing too much rushed shows lately,but they are rather fast when compared to the other 2 previous yugiohs...

My mistake, but 35 is when both Stardust and Kokkapak are summoned. I think it will go like this:

33: Generic dueling, but ends with OHED being summoned.
34: Centers around OHED, ends with Stardust destroying it.
35: Kokkapak is summoned, Yusei loses.

When Power Tool Dragon is given flesh and an appearance more similar to Baby Dragon than anything else, I'll agree with the first one.
And, as Blood Rose pointed out, the second proves nothing. He plays a dragon. So does Takasu.

Also, I found myself thinking of an interesting theory. Godwin's much older than the other Signers (read: The ones in possession of a dragon birthmark) so if it's somehow determined on birth, I'm guessing that one of these:
1) The Head Signer's previous reincarnation died earlier than the others, causing him to reincarnate faster.
OR
2) Godwin is actually the last remainder of a previous generation of Signers, and is trying to gather his former allies.

Both of them make good fanfic material, but I like the second one better.

I think you're right about Yusei and Jack's abilities. Yusei got his Birthmark when he went to get Stardust Dragon back, saving it in a sense. Jack most likely got his Birthmark upon becoming King.

No, during ep 25, they already showed that Jack had the dragon wing birthmark since he was in Satellite 2 yrs ago.

I doubt that last statement here.

If Divine were a Dark Signer, he could just do away with Aki ages ago & use Arcadia Movement to kill off the Signers.

And Rua is just thinking that since he's the twin sibling of a destined heroine, he should be one himself.

Here's another crazy theory-It is probable that Misty might be involved in Arcadia Movement in her past. (The thing that she "fortune-tells" serves as evidence to it.)

I have never said that it is impossible that Rua is a Signer. I'm just thinking it's a bit obvious that it's Godwin, but it could also be one of the theories I posted earlier in this thread.

We're still lacking a proper Dragon from Rua, though. Power Tool Dragon isn't proper yet; we need a reason to why the Fifth Dragon would reincarnate itself into a machine. If the second of my theories is true, then Godwin should be the one that used to possess the Fifth Dragon, and therefore he should know quite a bit about it.

But Rua's still bound to have a few powers on his side. Since he and Ruka are twins, maybe their power was divided between them? Rua entered the Duel Spirit World during the duel too, didn't he? So, it makes sense for him to be special.

The Crimson Dragon's presence would have required all 5 Signers to be awakened to be summoned, therefore Rua's need for it was not needed.

Actually, I just went according to the ending scene where they show the characters. Yusei, Jack, Aki & Ruka are the Signers. Kiryu, Rudger, Demak, Carly & Misty are the dark signers. So either Goodwin, Rua or Crow is the 5th Signer.

I also got the VS scheme of the signers' battle.

Yusei VS Kiryu (obvious grudge)
Jack VS Carly (Jack would get agitated towards this & would try to save her.)
Aki VS Misty (as shown in their future duel, Misty has a grudge.)
Ruka VS Rudger (he has AFD & ending scene foretells it too.)
5th Signer VS Demak (using method of elimination)

Let's see if the order in which people received their Birthmark's play a role into anything.

The current Dragon Head Birthmark most likely came first. Aki's comes second, since we know she's had it for a while also. Then Jack, then Yusei, and then Ruka.

Rudger and Demak are most likely the first Dark Signers. I believe that Misty is the third Dark Signer, leaving Kiryu to be the fourth, and Carly is obviously the fifth.

The only similarities I've noticed were that Yusei and Kiryu were the fourth people in their respective groups to receive their Birthmark.

While I was on the Wiki yesterday, I saw not only the five Nazca God Lines, but a sixth one: The Condor. Chances are that it will be like the Crimson Dragon of the Nazca Gods.

The Wiki is more reliable than you think. It mentioned that the Lunas' dream was about the battle at the Condor Lines, but I still think that the Condor is the leader of the Nazca Gods.

b) The Temple of the Condor in Machu Picchu

Boomer's village was used by Yliaster for an experiment to awaken the Crimson Dragon. (I presume it was before they realised only the 5 Signers can do that.) As a result, Bommer worked for Goodwin in order for him to provide financial aid to his village.

Boomer's village was used by Yliaster for an experiment to awaken the Crimson Dragon. (I presume it was before they realised only the 5 Signers can do that.) As a result, Bommer worked for Goodwin in order for him to provide financial aid to his village.

I think that they knew that only the 5 Signers could awaken the Crimson Dragon BEFORE that experiment was conducted, seeing as how Godwin is the 360th Star Guardian. It just wouldn't make sense that they wouldn't considering Godwin's knowledge and position. He even mentioned that when he was explaining it to Jack (and to the others later on) that the 5 Signers had to awaken the Crimson Dragon in order to seal away the Nazca Gods.

Considering that the Earthbound Gods use people as midnight snacks (as you so elequently put it), imagine what kind of power they'd get by consuming these psycho duelists! With the influence of the Arcadia Movement on their side, the Dark Signers would have a much easier time converting people without interference from the Security Bureau - not to mention that it would put more pressure on the Signers.

-Just die (very likely since D-Carly is not too merciful-looking)
-As D-Carly summons her Earthbound God to attack Divine for the kill, the duel ends with Divine's Duel Disk broken. (just like Yusei's duel)
-Be defeated & made into a slave for the dark signers (unlikely since D-Carly doesn't seem all that smart & I think only Rudger & Misty are actually calm enough to think about their ultimate plans)

We are not sure if Rudger, Demak & Kiryu are aware of Carly's awakening yet. (although the mark was shone in the sky says otherwise) But, they aren't shown to be interested about their 2 females' revenge plans. Since Divine killed Carly, they will let her go through her revenge to make her happy enough to join them.

Tell me about it...just look at Aki's & Divine's expressions when they saw the Earthbound Gods & their humongous size.

Ccrayra was just plain old ugly & creepy-looking, while Alsa Piscu brings the evil look & that feel of power as it pecks into Divine for the win. (when I saw that part, I thought it would disappear due to Fortune Vision & then unleash a light to destroy Divine & make him burn for all time)

On a more serious note, I happened to like Divine. He's that kind of likeable villain who isn't a complete moron and actually has some class. More so, he doesn't need a weird looking trench coat or bondage gear to look good, just an ordinary suit.

Now somebody please fill me in, what exactly is Jack's purpose currently? He's just... around, isn't he? He wasn't looking for Carly until he stumbled upon her glasses, he wasn't looking for Aki until she stumbled upon her, so why exactly was he there with his D-Wheel?

Another question: what's the current consensus here concerning Dark Signers? Do they actually die before turning Dark Signers, or is it triggered by near-death experiences? Because whereas Carly was shown to make a freaking crater on the floor after breaking through a solid roof, Kiryu was sentenced to death but nobody said it was carried out.
Not to mention, actually coming back from the dead and acquiring a brand new deck in the process doesn't sound very believable (as you can probably tell by now, yes, I was deeply annoyed by everything that followed the pleasant vision of Carly being blasted through the window and falling down the skyscraper.)

From what I gather, the candidate needs to experience a NEAR death experience. If you remember, Misty did not actually die. She was close to death on that hospital stretcher when the Lizard Earthboud God took over. Carly was actually still alive from the impact when she underwent the transformation. (For all we know, she may have landed on something that softened the blow). As for Kiryu, we should find out more about him later down the road.

(This theory is VERY unstable since Rua is still in the dark about the whole thing and didn't see the vision that Aki and Ruka saw during Yusei and Jack's match in the Fortune Cup)

Crow - That's only an assumption. For all we know, he could've snuck into Neo Domino to watch the tournament and got caught.

But Bommer was never in Neo Domino when Yusei & Jack first dueled...he wasn't even introduced in the series yet

As shown in the series, getting from Satellite to Neo Domino is very hard & I think Crow won't bother going there. He had to steal cards for poor orphans & have a TV set to Neo Domino channels.

And yes, the Rua theory is very unstable...let us just wait & see for ourselves.

1. That was a man in a dark coat, not even necessarily a Dark Signer. It could be Walter from the Gunslinger books for all we know.

2. I think it was Roxas, actually. Oh, and after a quick look-through of those black-white shots (clearly the most important part of the entire ending scene) did show Jack and a person in the background.

3. Now, to the problem. How did Rua acquire Power Tool Dragon in the first place (or, for that matter, how did any of the Signers actually get their Dragons?) and what was it's name before someone equipped it with Metalmorph?
