Notes
-This Fan Fic is based off of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Manga. It will mostly follow the story from Chapter 1 - Chapter 26, and then from there it will become completely original. The Original Characters will appear with some of my own originals, and don't worry, for those who haven't read the Manga the characters decks are completely different.
-The character's names will also be different, refer to the list below for the translated names.
-I will also be using Japanese Honorifics during the course of my Fan Fic

Notes/Comments: For those who don't read the manga, Kouyou is the one who taught Judai/Jaden how to duel. Kouyou was a champion duelist and even Jun/Chazz looked up to him. He dueled in a Shadow Duel and since then whenever he partakes in a serious duel and draws a card, part of his life drains away. Eventually he duels Judai/Jaden seriously with his tournament deck against Judai/Jaden's Elemental Hero deck from the show. Afterwards, Kouyou retires as a duelist and gives his deck to Judai/Jaden. Now, because of the Shadow Duel, he is in a coma and no one knows if he'll ever wake up again.

Episode 1, Arrival of New Students

The ocean breeze felt cool and refreshing as it brushed Suzaku's cheek. He stretched long and hard, watching the island slowly come into view. He grinned. He was finally going to go to Duel Academy! It was like a dream come true for him.

Mei: "Suza-kun! Get down from there!"

Suzaku nearly jumped and lost his balance on the boat's railing. He hopped backwards, off the railing. He turned to Mei, grinning. She sighed.

Suzaku: "Aw, Mei-chan, you never let me have any fun."

Mei: "You're always such a pain."

She was grinning though. They had been friends since kindergarten, and learned how to duel together. And now they were going to be going to Duel Academy together, Mei had a feeling that it would be an interesting year.

30 Minutes later......

Judai, Sho, and Asuka stood in the stands above, watching the duel below. Jun was there too, somewhere. The principal had suggested holding a duel for the two new students, Suzaku and Mei, in order to see what skills they possessed. They each had to duel a seasoned student in the Academy. Mei had passed her duel using a Spellcaster deck. Suzaku was now in the middle of his duel, using a Warrior deck. Suzaku's Opponent had two Blue-Eyes White Dragons on the field, one card face down and 2,000 Life Points, while Suzaku had Dark Magician and Flame Swordsman on the field and two cards face down, and only 500 Life Points remaining. Suzaku's Opponent, grinning ear to ear, had underestimated him and gave him one final turn. Thankfully, that's all he needed.

Suzaku: "Draw!"

He pulled one card from the deck, took one look and grinned.

Suzaku: "I play Polymerization to fuse Dark Magician and Flame Swordsman to create......Dark Flare Knight! In attack mode!"

His opponent laughed.

Opponent: "Haha! That monster's still not strong enough to defeat my Blue-Eyes!

Suzaku kept grinning.

Suzaku: "Ok, Dark Flare Knight, attack the Blue-Eyes on the left!"

Opponent: "Hah! You've lost it, you're gonna lose the duel now."

Dark Flare Knight attacked and was destroyed, and just as that happened, Suzaku activated one of his face-down cards.

Suzaku: "I activate Waboku, now I lose no life points."

Opponent: "Like that'll help."

Suzaku: "Oh, it already has. Now I activate Dark Flare Knight's Special Ability, and since it was destroyed in battle I can summon one Mirage Knight from my Deck."

Suzaku searched through his deck for Mirage Knight and summoned it to the field.

Suzaku: "This duel is over. Attack his Blue-Eyes, Mirage Knight!"

Opponent: "I don't think so, I activate Mirror Force!"

Suzaku's Opponent flipped over a Mirror Force just as Suzaku flipped over his last face-down card.

Suzaku: "Trap Jammer! Your Mirror Force is destroyed!"

Mirage Knight's attacked continued. And because of it's special ability it's attack went up from 2,800 to 5,800. It sliced the Blue-Eyes in half, inflicting 2,800 Points of Damage to his opponent's Life Points. The counter dropped to 0. Suzaku had won.

Judai: "Wow, that was an awesome duel. I can't wait to duel him!"

Sho: "You should be careful, Big Bro, you never know how strong he could be."

Judai: "Oh, c'mon, Sho-kun, you're just worrying too much."

Asuka: "He is pretty good. But I wouldn't worry too much Sho-kun."

She smiled, and they all laughed. Suzaku looked up to the stands where Judai and his friends were.

Suzaku: <Ah, Judai Yuki, i'm taking you down next.>

And yes, I do realize that Waboku was wasted, however I am too lazy to change it, so bite me >.>

Episode 2, Friends Stick Together

Ring! Ring! Ring! Suzaku's alarm clock kept ringing, but he ignored it and continued to sleep in. It was almost noon by the time someone kicked his door in.

Mei: "Suza-kun, get out of bed, NOW!!"

She yanked his blankets off his bed. Suzaku yawned.

Suzaku: "What time is it?"

Mei: "It's almost noon! You can't possible sleep all day, even if it is the weekend."

Suzaku kept yawning and just nodded. Mei waited outside for him as he quickly got dressed. He was out the door in 5 minutes, give or a take a few.

Mei: "Finally! Hey, let's go find some duels."

Suzaku: "Alrighty, sounds like a plan."

He grinned and she grinned back. Soon they were racing off towards the school in a quest to find people to duel. There was a big crowd in the dueling arena.

Suzaku: "What's with all the people?"

Male Student: "There's a Tag Tournament with a rare card as the prize."

Suzaku: "Ooo, what's the card?"

Male Student: "They won't say, we have to win the tournament first."

Suzaku: "Hey Mei-chan, we should enter the tournament together, we could do it."

Mei: "Yea, it has been awhile since we dueled as a team."

And so their Tag Team was formed. They managed to defeat all their opponents all the way to the finals. In this Final Match it was Suzaku and Mei vs Judai and Sho.

Suzaku: "Heh, looks like we get our duel after all Yuki-san."

Judai: "I'd say so, Get your Game on!"

They readied their duel disks.

Mei: "Don't worry Marufuji-san, the important thing is that we have fun, right?"

Sho: "Y-yeah, I guess so."

They readied their duel disks as well.

Suzaku: "Draw!"

He pulled a card from his deck and placed it in his hand.

Suzaku: "Alright, I summon Silent Swordsman Lv3 to the field in Attack Mode!"

Silent Swordsman Lv3 3 Stars/Light/Warrior | 1,000 ATK/1,000 DEF

Suzaku: "Next I play two cards face-down and end my turn."

Judai: "My turn! Draw!"

Judai pulled a card from his deck.

Judai: "I summon Elemental Hero Wildheart to the field in Attack Mode."

Elemental Hero Wildheart 4 Stars/Earth/Warrior | 1,500 ATK/1,600 DEF

Judai: "And then I play one card face-down. I end my turn."

Mei: "My turn! Draw!"

She pulled a card from her deck.

Mei: "I summon Sage of Stillness to the field in Attack Mode!"

Intermission~ Time for another break^^
