This man has is the embodiment of country from his hit songs "Amarillo by Morning" to "Baby Blue" and newer hits such as "Troubadour" and "She'll Leave You with a Smile" and his other 50+ hits over 25 years of preforming; it leaves no doubt in my mind this man deserves the nickname "The King of Country"!

George Strait was who got me into country music (him and Alan Jackson).

I got into him when I heard "You'll Be There" and now he's my favorite country artist. He has such cool songs that I really enjoy. I also really like "Troubadour".

Anyway, he's a great country artist and, like you said, deseres the title of King of Country.

But Alan Jackson gets "King of Country". In my opinion anyway ;D

Alan Jackson and George Strait are both good i say tie on "King of Country"..... they are two of my favorites.. I like George's songs "It Just Comes Natural" and "River of Love" and I like Alan's songs "Country Boy", "It must be love", "Pop a Top", and "Good Time"
