One of the best GIMP Ghost Rare Tutorials Ever!!

Have you always wanted to know how to make a Ghost Rare for your shop or whatever. Well what are ya' waitin' for, let's get started.

Step 1) Well for starters we need to open GIMP and open up the card we want to edit.

Step 2) Use the Rectange select tool and select the picture of the card.

Step 3) With the pic selected, go to Colorize and set the saturation all the way to the left. Then, set the lightness to around 50, it should be not almost white, but not too gray. Don't worry if it doesnt look right we're not finished.

Step 4) Open up one of your holosheets, (if you don't have one just look around the tutorials section, their pretty easy to find) you should still have the pic selected, copy the holosheet, go to your card and on the pic right click and go to edit > Paste into.

Step 5) Set the pasted holosheets mode to "Dodge".

There you have it a completed Ghost Rare card, the finished product should look like this:

May I suggest lowering the opacity level so it can be viewed a lot better.

if you've owned/seen a ghost rare then you'll know that the pic isnt exactly the most visible thing on the card. I think you guys (and i am not saying that you are) are just looking at internet shots of ghost rares and making your bias based on that. if you want my opinion, go out somewhere and buy/browse real ghost rares in a store, after you've done that please feel free to give all of the constructive critisism (aiming at leo here) you want. A real ghost rare looks about like just a silver pic until you look at it from the side or something, the internet posts of ghost rares are edited to make it easier to see the pic, otherwise you wouldn't.

Yes, we know that it's not invisible, but you need to be able to see a clear pic for Ghost Rares

That is not a Ghost Rare. Ghost rares don't even have a holo sheet. And this is a terrible tutorial, in no way the best. And I have multiple IRL Ghost Rares, so don't give me your preaching, which isn't even true.

I said constructive critisism, all you guys are doing is throwing "This Sucks" and "This is a terrible tutorial" at me, if you know so much about making ghost rares then why did you want my tut in the first place. I bet none of you have even seen a real ghost rare.

People dont want to see things that look exactly like the real thing if it looks better edited.
People want the best image, no matter if it is real looking or not.
In my opinion you should also edit your card to do the following:
- Make the pic more visible
- Decrease the opacity of the holo sheet.
- Maybe try advanced holoing the picture after desaturation? It might look better. The you might not have to decrease the opacity of the holo sheet.

Don't use a holo, most ghost-rares don't have them and you don't start throwing at me 'you've never seen one' because I have Majestic Star Dragon and some others.So, don't use holos that frequently.

Actually, I did give contructive critism, see what I bolded. That is contructive critisism, because I told you that they don't have holo's like that, so you can improve. So if you can't even see CnC when you get it, than I strongly advise you GTFO of Graphic Deisgn.

Also, I will give you a photo of my own personal Ghost Rare if that's what you need.
