Nintendo needs to stop making the same consoles, For example the "Dsi XL" and now another wii, And all they have is a little touch added to them.

Quite a bit for a "same console." If anything (this is on the assumption that it's true, which it probably isn't), it'll hopefully at least put a padlock on people that say that Wii's graphics suck.

Are you sure that's a trustworthy site? Seems a bit weird that a PS3 news site is posting information on the Wii 2.

Um, no lol. Firstly, the Wii HD/Wii 2 has been in mind for a while for Nintendo and it's definitely not the same old thing. The DSi LL or whatever it's called was a retarded idea, but I think by creating this topic I've restored at least some of Nintendo's credibility. They haven't just added a little touch to them, they've-
* Added a Blu-ray player, perhaps even for DVD's? That's a huge boost right there, as you know what the only other console that's done that is.
* 1080P will be supported. The Wii HD's graphics will rival (if not be better... yes, I say this because technology has advanced since 2006 and Nintendo may have got new technology to make the graphics better than the PS3's) the PS3's.
* The release date for Japan is the third quarter of 2010. And if I know Nintendo, that's a Christmas release date for the US/Europe.
* This console will have a huge upgrade on what the Wii has now. Massively improved firmware, Blu-ray graphics, and I'm sure there will be a ton of new features too.

Welll, there's a chance that it isn't true. But either way, Nintendo plans to make the graphics rival that of the 360/PS3's, so even if they don't use Blu-ray like that article says- the graphics of the Wii HD will be near or the same as the 360/PS3's. Then the Wii's graphics won't suck, and "Mario Kart Wii HD" will be awesome. Razz

You mean the things that were impossible with technology back then? In case you forgot, we all were amazed at the virtual sensors and Wii gameplay when it first came out. To add graphics that amazed us with the release of the 360/PS3 to that would have been impossible.

I know. I read about it some while ago but they're rumors with no "Nintendo confirmation". Any link not a year old?

It's still pretty useless because they're doing it late, admitting they're wrong when they keep denying they care about hardcore gamers plus it's gonna raise the cost of games on the Wii and lead to a shitload more shovelware and bad ports.

Also they'll release the new Wii 2 HD a year later so why waste your time, nevermind they're openly showing the middle finger to everyone who bought a Wii.

Yes, because Nintendo's losses were so friggin' huge that they're clearly now on the brink of bankrupcy.

It's because no one expected the Wii which are pretty much the first console to achieve it's state of fame through mainstream media would incure ANY kind of losses.
