i use Avast its free if you get the trial when you need to pay just download it again

I use Avira Antivir Personal. It's free, and there's also the paid version, which is more complete, but sometimes it's annoying when you're opening keygen games like Gutterball. They thought it's a virus! D=

But overall, it's working pretty good.

Honestly, it's just personal opinion and convenience.

Some programs are very nosy and annoying, while some are clean, but not very affective.

Some work too hard; they provide false positives.

The BEST protection you could have would be just having a firewall and being very computer savvy. To the point where you're never affected by any type of malware.

And also, if you're very scared of viruses attacking your computer because you don't have antiviruses, don't open sites that looks weird (like if you're finding cracks or keygens full games that are in unknown sites) or pop-ups. Unwanted pop-ups usually pops when you are going to download. Like, they're advertisements.
