Izanagi and Izanami my way

Lately my OCG and card making in general has been getting worse. so much worse in fact I have been deleting cards in pure disgust with myself. These made me somewhat happy so I want to see if the rest of the YCM community thinks Im out of my slump.

I made these cards. And yes I do know they really made Izanami and Izanagi Cards but they didnt really do these characters from japanese mythology justice

Farewell of the First Ones (Click to View)

You can only activate this card when you control either "izanagi Okami" or "izanami Okami". Destroy all cards on your Opponent's side of the field. Take damage equal to the combined ATK of all Normal Monsters destroyed by this effect. During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated destroy all "Izanami Okami" and "Izanagi Okami" on the field.

(point here is that they are like "hey guys we are leaving now so DIE and here is my last attack KTHXBYE!!")

When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle place one Storm Counter on this card (max. 5) and when this card destroys an Opponent's monster by battle you can remove any number of Storm Counters from this card. Destroy Spell and Trap cards equal to the amount of Storm Counters removed from this card.

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing from play 3 DARK Fiend-type monsters from your Graveyard. When a Defense position monster is destroyed place one Yomi Counter on this card (max. . Once per turn you can remove one Yomi Counter from this card to destroy one monster on the field. During the End Phase remove one Yomi Counter from this card. If you cannot destroy this card.

Once per turn, you can select your 1 of your opponent's monster and equip it to this card. (You can only equip 1 monster at a time to this card.) This card gains ATK equal to half of the ATK of the equipped monster.

Uh...actually, I think Kazuki Takahashi did better. These cards are just big and somewhat OP'd beatsticks for LIGHT decks, and they don't really convey the idea of the legend. The pic (at least the one I can see, because Izanami isn't showing up) is epic, but needs a better effect.

Izanami is kinda chibi. I was just mad at Kazuki cuz it was like ohhh Heres a stupid normal rare monster for the MOTHER OF JAPAN

Yeah. Give them a creative summoning condition and a cool effect. I mean, they've sort of got a "Creation" motif going on, build off of that.

OCG:

For the monsters: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by removing 3 LIGHT Fairy-type monsters from your side of the field or Graveyard from play.

Minor, but still needed.

For the spell:

Tribute a "Izanagi Okami" or Izanami Okami" you control to destroy all cards on your opponent's side of the field. Then inflict damage to your life points equal to the ATK of all face up Normal monsters destroyed by this effect.

This one got chopped down a lot. A bunch of lines and words were just unnecessary.

Over all, these cards are just plain too OP. The monsters should have a drawback, something like "When this card is Summoned, if there are any non-LIGHT monsters on the field, destroy this card" or something like that, because they are too easy to summon and way too high stats as well. The spell card isn't too bad because you have to tribute a monster, specifically, but since it's a -2 for you and a -5 for your opponent, that throws the balance off way too much, huh.

Work on them, huh.

I dunno' about the OP'd-ness. It costs more to summon them than the average Level 8/7. The Spell Card, yeah, a little OP'd, but c'mon. Who uses LIGHT Fairy-types?

People who run Lolsworns could run a few DNA Surgeries and splash these in there... Or even better, just run 3 Shining angels, let them get destroyed and once all three are in the grave, bring one of these out... It's not that hard, huh?
