^...yeah.

The way I see it, we're a small "community" inside of the big YCM community since this section is mostly visited by the same people. But that's not a bad thing actually.

I'd like to know what kind of stuff you guys would like to see here, what does the forum lack, any activities/ideas you want to see, etc.

Stuff I came up with myself, just to see what you think:

• more contests
• music sheets/tabs
• quizzels
• a YCM account on last.fm (it's like an online radio that links you to similar music to what you're listening to. Pros: that way we have some kind of collective account, lets everyone know what the rest of us listens to, allows to share music with other users. Contras: ...yeah, shares music with others, meaning that you're not the only one using this; could cause some arguments)
• specific threads (advanced musicians/equipment topic)
• more games (not the spammish type that gets stuffed in Games)
• other projects/things to do (the release database didn't really work out here, not enough activity)
• layout (?) (just throwing that into the room. I'd like to see something being done about this section, more "personalized" stuff but since nothing got done about the skins I don't know what this should be like. Any ideas on how this can be done?)

I somewhat miss the "Release Database" but being one of the three people who accually helped out with it made me give up =(

I really love the music section. Feels good to be one of the better known members of it too. The music section is YCM's safe haven against spamming and trolling. HAIL!=D

Probably. It's mostly opinions though. So you shouldn't take it too seriously.

A Mash-Up contest would sound nice.

The mission-Sorry lack of a better term-:

You provide a song, we have a set amount of time to find a song that would mash well with the song you provided, the person with the best Mash-Up wins. Yes I mean incorporating the songs together not just saying such and such would go good with such and such.

I don't know. I'm fairly satisfied with the music section. It would be nice if more people were to visit it, but I guess we should just count our blessings. The trolls haven't arrived yet.

Genre threads can be made anytime and they usually end up spamless.

Sooo, I put some ideas into the first post.
Old ideas since I've been thinking about that for a while now.
But you know, I'm just really faster than our admin team. Just a bit maybe.

  Songwriting contest? I don't know. Like music itself, there are alot of syles of songwriting, which might lead to arguements in the forum instead of a "debate". I don't see what other contest you can make.

  I'm up for it. A place were we can talk about gear and such wouldn't be a bad idea either.
• quizzels
  lulz
• collective YCM account on last.fm (or another site, feel free to suggest)
  ProjectPlaylist, to me, works better. Anybody can listen to music there without getting an account, IMEEM is pretty good too, except you need an account to listen to the actual music...

The only thing I have to comment on is the Playlist thingy. A Official playlist thread would be better right? It could serve as a database for links to our playlists.
