Oh, so now we are gonna play The Blame Game?
Okay, so i was searching on the web for the date in which the game, DOOM4, comes out when and article about, The Columbine Massacre, caught my attention.
As I read on, I noticed the reason that the Parents of the students who died tried to push on, was the fact that both students played DOOM. As I continued to read, I noticed they even tried to sue ID because they said the game inspired them to create mass murder. Yeah, sure. Anyway of course, the charges got dropped as there was a multiplicity of reasons that caused them to murder. But thats not the point. Anyway, this topic is to discuss video games and the idea that they may have been the cause of multiple killings committed by teens. Anyway, I believe that was all bullshit and video games has nothing to do with murderers. |

Kids should teach parents to stop being such idiots. I'm smarter than every teacher that's ever "taught" me. TBH, I'm alot smarter than alot of adults I know.

I played pokemon, then I bought a pitbull and tried to win some badges. Blame videogames.
Actually, the reason they blame Doom is because they trained playing Doom and Wolfestein. It doesn't means that made them kill. If that were true, there would be more mass murderers now. |

RE: Oh, so now we are gonna play The Blame Game?
That is Pitbullsh!t. I played Fable and James Bond since i was 13 and have yet to kill anyone. Yeah, I thought about it...and nearly strangled a couple of people...but that was just 'cause I had anger management issues...and they were complete @$$holes...but this isn't about me.
Now, as far as video games causing Columbine: The parents just didn't want to admit that their generation knew nothing about how to raise kids, so they had their children push the other kids to doing that kind of thing, so they could then say "It was the video games that caused it" so they didn't have to admit that they had no clue what they were doing. an interesting side note: all school shootings, or at least the vast majority, happen in or near large cities. as well, they are always caused by the kids everyone picks on, that no one stands up for, who follow all the "Anti-Bully" things everyone is taught to do, (That never work, trust me, I now, I tried) but still get picked on. every day. trust me, the kids who died in Columbine probably had it coming. not that the vod-game haters would ever admit it. |

Ah, The Columbine massacre. Memories. -shudder- It was one of those horrible moments.
Games shouldn't be that big a part of your life that they inspire you to imitate them. You should inspire the games to imitate you! |

RE: Oh, so now we are gonna play The Blame Game?
Blaming Videogames for making kids kill people is like blaming a blind person for not being able to see.
tl;dr: Blaming murder on videogames is pure BS and should be forgotten. |

"Whoever gets the most for the least wins" *Shoots a gun into my brain at the thought of that game even existing* Seriously? how about we jsut explore what REALLY caused it: a bunch of stupid people who the world is better off without ostracized a couple of kids, shunned them, no one stood up for them, always picked on them, abused them verbally, caused them mental and emotional stress, and caused their self-preservation instincts to kick in, then they got what they deserved, and would have whether the kids played that game or not. no, I'm serious, humans, especially males, are hard-wired to defend themselves from any form of attack, physical or psychological. Its about dignity: you harm someones dignity, they will attack back, sometimes physically. |

In my opinion, I like kids playing video games.
At least they have something keeping them busy. (and not drugs, pr0n, etc.) |

I've played Blizzard's Diablo since it came out when I was only 5. Is it the best game for a 5 year old to be playing? No, it probably isn't. I haven't gone out and killed anyone with an axe though. Parents just need to teach their kids morals.

Au contraire! It was actually metal music that made them kill people. Totally.
