Jappio's Sprites, Splices and Fakemon

I think I'll keep the raffle open for only a little while longer. Doesn't seem many more will be trying to enter, so oh well. Congrats to those have entered, your odds aren't as low as I thought they might end up being.

Here is a new splice sheet. I also have some edits on them too. Some interesting stuff this time around in my opinion. Emo birds, polygonal beasts, super heroes, and even the mighty Dai-Gurren Brigade!

As for what's next, since I seem to be back in my old pattern, expect Fakemon. Although I am planning to enter a contest being run by a person who I consider to be the best splicer around. So I will probably be trying to do my best for that over all. So Fakemon sheet or my entry to that contest. Oh also once I get around to it, I plan on uploading a video of me making the Porygon+Ryhdon splice I did. If anyone has interest in seeing such a video, I might be a bit quicker to upload it. If not then it waits till I decide to deal with it.

Also I have a question in general to anyone who might want to answer. Why is it there there are shops that have splices as one of the things to buy. I mean I pretty much do splices for free as it is. Sure there are a few things I'll probably refuse to do, but for the most part I take all reasonable requests. Yet for some reason from what I understand, users will go and pay points for them, instead of getting them for free. Now I could understand if lets say the splices in the shops were of a greater quality. Now I don't like to brag, but the vibe I get around the site here is that I am considered the best, a god, and or amazing at splicing. So I just don't get why shops think they can make points off splices, and why some users would even bother to pay them =P

Time for another random project I might never finish! This time around I've decided to edit Super Mario World sprites into Pokemon. I want to do this to like every sprite in Mario world, so I can donate and let ROM hackers of the Mario World variety to have a new spice to add to their mixes. I don't plan on making one myself due to my laziness of course. I also have a good amount of the concepts for most of the enemies, so I won't be needing suggestions.

Ok first off "Some of these" tells me very little. I have splices, fakemon, and other things. Also giving me a 12/11 isn't going to make your chances better. If anything they made it worse. Although part of me is flattered by getting a good score, a 12/11 makes no sense. I am not that good. I am not better than perfect, and I am not perfect. There are sprites and spriters out there that are better than me, so I shouldn't getting scores like that.

I'm fine with good scores. Yet a good score means nothing if I think the person giving it has no actual thought. I could draw a talk bubble next to a rock to make it look like it's saying "Great Job" yet that doesn't mean much to me, it's a rock, it's opinion is below us humans. I am happy you at least asked, I do prefer that above stealing.

I'm sorry if my response to your compliments was harsh or something. I like to explain myself out. My message also was not for just you. Others have gone as far as calling me godly and saying I'm (10^50)/10 and stuff. It's a general issue I find with the comments I get. You just happen to bring up the issue quite well.

thank you i should not use i was very tired that day for an exuse (i was) but mabye i should have said something else in may second choice and by the way you and my other friends on lords of gfx got me into splicing i will hopefully be able to make my own pokemon so i will not have to use i am srry if i have did any wrong i have said some pretty bad things before on this site and i promised my self to try and not do that but i still like your splices and will be following this thread.

Thank you, although some compliments I find a bit absurd and exaggerated, I am always happy to have a fan.

New dudes made. The speed at which I'm doing this shows promise. Although I fear Mario and Yoshi will be heck of a pain to edit as they have many more frames. Banzai Togekiss was just weird. I'm going to have to try double as hard when I decide to go back to it. The whole thick bordering and weird style that Banzai Bill is in just confused me even more.

Guys, lets try not to quote my images so much. As for the Shroomish=Goomba idea, I'm about to dash your hopes. I instead have myself Hoppip as my Goombas. I know it isn't a mushroom, but Togepis aren't bullets either =P I also in general adore Hoppips, so I wanted to put them somewhere, and they can float slowly down like a Parachute Goomba can.

So I have some more dudes and stuff as you can see. For the switch palace blocks I'm not sure which to do. I needed 4 pokeball types, but the 4th I can't decide on. Both Premier and Safari are OK, but they aren't like the others. I might just leave it up to the ROM hacker's choice.



I also have made the sprite for 'one' of the winners of the raffle. They requested a Torkoal evolution that as spikes and a scorpion tail. However after showing him the first one, he asked that I remove the spikes along the side. So I have both versions to show off, I hope the winner of them enjoys them. I will get onto the second winner's request as soon as possible.
