You know how you get these n00bs that post those random fail decks and claim that they win all the time, could you like make that against the rules or make a rule stating they must state the type of decks they beat. I think its really annoying when they do that.

They could truthfully claim to consistently beat Synchro-DAD decks with it, without mentioning that the opponents were comatose.

There's no real way to handle something like this, outside of Jack Witt Clause.

OK.

RE: The Rules
what could you say if someone said something bad about your deck and you think they are wrong?

I'm going to assume that during your life you have learned something of social discussion and rational discourse.

Most times all you can do is go along with it. There's no point in getting into an argument that could result in you getting banned. When I think about it, I guess it would be a case-by-case thing. I could be wrong though.

RE: The Rules
These are the rules for the deck section.
You get your cards posted by going to a different section.

RE: The Rules
even the topic of having more then 50 cards has been brought up a lot i have a question about it. y not just limit the size of the deck list instead of the number of cards in a deck list. cuz a deck with say 55 cards could have a decklist smaller then a deck list with 40 cards in it.

also does some1 posting gtfo(aka get the f*** out) count as flaming

Many definitions of flaming include offensive orders such as that. Either way, it would almost certainly be prohibited under the Jack Witt clause, so don't do it.

RE: The Rules
Rule number 6 contradicts all other rules within the entire forum.

How are we to establish constructive criticism, if just saying "This deck sucks" is permitted?

It would be much easier to just amend Rule 6, saying that the poster must give some sort of reason why the deck "sucks".

I completely agree. The 'n00bs' are not going to improve if some of the more experienced players don't try and help.

RE: The Rules
I completely agree Bloodrun, it's rather like the GFX section was where people would just comment "lol fail sig u suck" and move onto the next one. Flaming is not allowed under any forms and if you aren't offering constructive critism then gtfo.

Akira made this post on Drift, which I agree with:

Akira on Drift Wrote:Here is a PM I sent to YCMaker regarding flaming in the Decks section:

The Rules Wrote:6. Flaming

Yes, this is one of the general site rules, but because of recent disputes over what constitutes flaming, I feel that it should be defined here in more detail.

"Flaming" is a direct insult to a person. Example: "You are an idiot".

Speaking ill of a person's deck is not considered flaming. For example, "this deck sucks" is perfectly acceptable.

Speaking ill of a person's recommendations is also not considered flaming. For example, "your suggestions suck" is perfectly acceptable.

Speaking ill of a person's playing ability is generally not considered flaming. For example, "you suck at this game" or "learn to play" are perfectly acceptable. However, this can become flaming if done improperly; for example, "only an idiot could be this bad at this game" would be considered flaming.

Faint Brushfire and I agree that this rule is broken and is in desperate need of change. The decks section is currently a wreck and inexperienced players are constantly being battered out of the forum by selfish ignorant users who continue to insult their ability to play the game over and over again without offering any constructive advice, which at best can be considered spamming. However, mods such as JesusofChaos and Crab Helmet seem apathetic to the issue, and we strongly believe that flaming of ANY nature in the section without constructive criticism should be punished severely. All players have the right to be treated equally regardless of their level of skill at the game; I for one would not be where I am now if it weren't for the kindness of those who helped me to improve.

I hope you take this issue into consideration.

Thanks,

~Akira

It's a sad issue and it needs to stop. We're all guilty, but we all need to make the effort to change. So who else agrees?
