True, but I have it showcase because I consider it related to my splices and all. I have it here too because most people don't look in showcase threads for tutorials, they come here to find tutorials.

11 is best, but I can't decide worst. 13, 8, and 14 especially bother me.

RE: Jappio's Splicing Tutorial
Jappio, you forgot something about the splicing: rotating. If you know how, be sure to use it. changing the angel really helps. I've tried splicing from a horrible tutorial on youtube (not yours) and rotated and it turned out really good!

EDIT: after a few seconds watching your tut on youtube, you talked abou rotating, JUST NOT HERE!!! you should put rotate on your written tut

RE: Jappio's Splicing Tutorial
Well the fact that you didn't do much is part of the problem. You didn't recolor which is a major problem. You need to recolor to make the the pieces flow nicely with each other. Also do to the fact you've done so little, it only looks Gallade with grass arms and a Heracross horn. Generally with a splice it is about creating a mixture, something new. You however did as you said, only did a slight edit, nothing too amazing.

RE: Jappio's Splicing Tutorial
I know thats because im the type over person to start small and get better as I go along. As for recoloring I thought the colors looked ok together but i guess I was wrong there (apparently its about making it mostly one color to make it look more natural). I recolored the horn slightly and the arms so how about a rate on this newer version?

RE: Jappio's Splicing Tutorial
I wouldn't call terrible, but still has flaws. The way the horn is attached still needs work, and the way you colored it has also seemed to have messed up. The shading on the bottom right arm has been completely turned to one shade, which is bad.

RE: Jappio's Splicing Tutorial
I don't feel like giving anything in depth. Most should be explained in either tutorials. In general though, your recoloring needs a lot of work. They are also bland and aren't quite mixes, but small modifications to other Pokemon.

RE: Jappio's Splicing Tutorial
That was a form of editing that I did. I just plain scratched a fossil over the body. So it wasn't really a splice at all. Most people when doing fossils recolor/splice with things that are already fossil like, something I'm not experienced in at all. I prefer my form of fossilizing since it is closer to the definition of "fossil".

Ok so recently I decided to do another tutorial, this time in one video. Of course since it is shorter, it's not as solid explanation-wise.
