This is my first fan-fic so be nice:

Rai-(Main) Shy but Brave Rai is a kind boy who values both equality and justice.
Dave-(minor) Not much is known about him. Good friend of Rai.
Rai's mom-(minor) Strict and polite, she keeps the house clean and accomadatable.
Jack-(minor) School Bully, Mean and Likes to take Lunch money from kids.
Zen-(Semi) Mysterious and evil. Defeated Guardian a long time ago.
Guardian-(Semi) Keeper of secrets and protecter of the land. Now sharing minds with Rai.
Great One-(semi/main) Ancient ruler of the world.
Centuries ago, guardians protected the land and fought evil. But something happened to them. Years later a boy finds the legendary book of the guardians, finds a strange deck and must struggle to defeat the Mysterious "Great One". Prologue
1294 (Small Rural Village)
The guardian leaned backwards taking a sip from his water bottle. It seemed as if he did the same thing everyday. Eat, Guard, and Sleep. Being the village guardian was the most boring job there was. He thought of all the great things he would do if he had passed the Exam. The guardian strolled down the entry gate slowly. Suddenly, the guardian came to his senses. There was someone behind him.
“Impressive, I didn’t think you’d be this good”
“Who are you?” bellowed the Guardian “Show yourself you coward.”
Then, there was a small eerie light, and then standing before him was a man.
“Why are you here” Said the Guardian.
“To destroy this village and claim the land for the Great one.” Said the man
“Who is the great one?”
“You shall know him after I defeat you.”
“I didn’t sign up for this job for nothing”
“Let’s Duel”
Guardian: 8000
Man: 8000
“My turn” Said the Man “one card face down and end my turn.”
“Ha, I knew you were all talk” laughed the Guardian “I play “Giant Trunade which returns your face down card back to your hand. Then, I play Skilled Dark Magician and attack you directly. ”
“Hmmm”
“Then I place 2 face down cards and end my turn.
Guardian: 8000
Man: 6100
“By discarding one card, I activate my Lightning Vortex, which destroys your skilled Dark Magician” Said the man. “Then I place 2 cards face down End Turn”
“Activate face down card” Said the Guardian “Dark Magic Curtain, and Special Summon Dark Magician. Attack”
“Activate face down card Magic Cylinder”
“Activate my face down, Mystic Space Typhoon”
“Argg, not bad Guardian, but since you paid half of your life points were sill almost equal. ”
Guardian: 4000
Man: 3600
“I play the magic cards Raigeki and Monster Reborn, I win” said the Man “nice duelin you.”
The Guardian looked at the man confused.
“How” said the puzzled Guardian.
“Remember the card I discarded when I used Lightning Vortex?”
“No Way…”
“Yes. It was Obelisk the Tormentor”
The Guarding fell to the ground, collapsing and overcoming with both shame and guilt.
“I resign” Said the Guardian.
“Thought so, but you see” Said the Man “There is a small price to pay for losing”
“What?”
“Your Soul…”
End of Prologue Chapter 1 part 1
3050 (Futuristic City)
“What happened after he lost?”
“It doesn’t say anymore in the book.” Rai said “it was said the village and the guardian disappeared that night.”
Rai closed the book and stood up. He wondered if the story on the book was real, but for now something else was on his mind. Rai had always something else on his mind. Most of the time he it was dueling. Rai had light brown hair and was around 5 feet; he was shy but had a brave heart. Rai and his friends walked until he got to the local store.
“I think the new deck just came out this Tuesday” said Dave.
“Na, I’ll just go home” Said Rai.
By the time Rai got home it was almost 8 o’clock. He tiptoed slowly to his room, trying not to get seen.
“We’ve been waiting for you to come home.” Said Rai’s mom.
“I was with my friends.”
“That’s not a good excuse”
“I know…”
Rai went to his room and prepared for the night. After he took a bath, Rai looked over from the bathroom and saw a glowing light. He squinted his eyes. He couldn’t believe it, it was the old Guardian Book his dad got him for Christmas. At first when he received the book he thought it was a joke, but after reading it, he found out it was actually good. Rai opened the book and found where the light was coming from. There was a secret compartment in the book. He opened the compartment quietly and there layer a deck of old Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
“Cool” whispered Rai
End of Chapter 1 part 1 Chapter 1 part 2
“Whoa!” whispered Rai “This deck is awesome, the dark magician! This deck must be worth thousands.”
Rai knew he wouldn’t sell the deck for anything. He then slipped the deck in his duel disk and went to sleep. In his dreams he saw 2 men dueling near the outskirts of a small village.
“I resign” said the man.
“Thought so, but you see” Said the other man “There is a small price to pay for losing”
“What?”
“Your Soul”
Rai woke up with sweat pouring on his face.
“What was that?” Rai thought.
Then, he quickly remembered and got his duel disk. There sitting in his deck holder was the deck Rai put in the other day. Rai got to school quickly running at his own pace. All was normal except a weird sign that had appeared no where on the school wall.
“TWWEI3D” said Rai “What could that mean?”
Rai swiftly passed though his classes as normal. RRIINNGG!!!
“Lunch time” thought Rai. “Uh Oh, not him!”
It was the school bully, Jack.
“Gimme your lunch money” yelled Jack.
“Get lost jerk” said Rai.
“You don’t know who you’re dealing with”
“Let’s settle this with a duel”
Then, as if it was in a split second all the kids surrounding Rai and Jack were yelling
“Duel!”
End of Chapter 1 part 2 Chapter 1 part 3
“Duel”
Rai: 4000
Jack: 4000
“Draw” bellowed Jack “I play polymerization, by sending elemental heroes avian and burstinatrix from my hand to the Graveyard, I Fusion Summon Elemental hero Flame Wingman, then I place one card face down and end my turn!”
“Hope this deck is good” muttered Rai “Activate card destruction (discards and draws), heh, I Special Summon Chaos Sorcerer by removing Kuriboh and Shining Angel from the Graveyard. Now attack elemental hero flame wingman!”
“Not bad, but not good enough, activate De-Fusion.”
“Urrg, I place 2 cards face down and end my turn”
“Now” yelled Jack “prepare for my ultimate Fusion Monster”
“But, you already used polymerization.”
“But I haven’t used Miracle Fusion, now, by sending my Elemental heroes Bubble man and Spark man from my hand, and my Avian from my field, I Summon Elemental hero Tempest, now attack Chaos Sorcerer!”
“Activate negate attack!”
“Uhh, end turn.”
“That was close” said Rai “Now I Summon Skilled Dark Magician and activate my Chaos Sorcerers effect. It allows me to remove a monster from play instead of attacking.”
“What!”
“So your Tempest is out of the way, now I attack burstinatrix with my Skilled Dark Magician!”
“No!”
“End turn”
Rai: 4000
Jack: 3300
RRIINNGG.
“Lunch Time is over” said the Teacher “Time to get back to class.”
“We’ll settle this after school.” Said Jack “The hard way”
“Uh oh.”
Later that day, after school, Rai sneaked out of the School window just in time to get back to his house and not get puched in the stomach.
End of Chapter 1 Chapter 2 part 1
(Rai’s House)
“The Great one has awoken.” Said a voice
“So the boy finally unlocked the deck.” Said another voice
“What took him so long?”
“You know we still have to defeat him in a duel to be able to harness the energy.”
“I’ll go”
“Shouldn’t we wait for Zen?”
“Na, I’ll finish him off my self.”
“Don’t take so long, you know that we can’t last up there for long, wait until dawn.”
There was laughter, then silence.
“Rai, wake up” yelled mom
“Ahhh!” gasped Rai “There coming for me!”
“Huh?”
“There was these people, hey said they’ll come and kill me!”
“Kids these days” sighed mom “too much video games?”
“You’ve got to believe me!”
“Sure. I believe you, now go to school."
Rai walked to school shivering with fear knowing that somebody could strike at any time. Rai walked cautiously to school passing each street slowly. Then, Rai saw something fast go past him, and then Rai blacked out.
End of Chapter 2 part 1 Chapter 2 part 2
When Rai woke up, he found himself on a small platform. There was no light except for the 2 glowing candles in the distant. He tried to stand up, but it hurt too much. Rai just sat there thinking about what just happened. Then, suddenly a demonic figure appeared.
“Kid, you don’t know what you gotten yourself into” it said.
“Who are you?” asked Rai “and why have you taken me here.”
“To duel you.”
“What?”
“The deck you have on your duel disk is no ordinary deck; it contains power beyond anything you’ve ever imagined.”
“So I guess you’ve brought me here just to get a deck of cards.” Said Rai “Why didn’t you just take it from me while I was unconscious?”
“It’s not that easy you see, to get the power of the guardian deck, I must beat you in a duel.”
“They I guess I have no choice.”
“Duel”
Rai: 4000
Demon: 4000
“I Summon Breaker, the magical warrior in attack position. Then I place 1 card face down, end turn.”
“Draw” said the demon “I play apprentice magician in attack mode, then I play magical dimension and summon my Dark magician from my hand and destroy your Breaker. Next I attack you directly with my dark magician!”
“Activate Mirror force”
“Your pretty good, place one card face down and end turn.”
Rai: 4000
Demon: 4000
“So, you have a magician deck too.” Said Rai “I play dark magic curtain and summon my dark magician, and then I activate giant trunade. Finally, I’ll attack you directly with my dark magician and place one card face down, end turn.”
“Nice job kid, but that was nothing, I’ll show you real skill.”
Rai: 2000

End of Chapter 2 part 2

“This will be your last turn” said the Demon “activate block attack on your magician and then I play Zombrya the dark and activate mega morph and fairy meteor crush. Now, I attack your dark magician.”
“You’re finished!” yelled Rai “activate face down card, Magic Cylinder!”
“This can’t be!”
“I win”
Rai :2000
Demon: 0
Then, the small platform began to fall piece by piece and the demon disappeared. Suddenly, Rai was teleported back to school. He checked his watch. Not a second has passed since the incident.
“What in the world?”
* * *
“You have lost”
“No please don’t” pleaded the demon
“You should have waited for me”
“Please give me one more chance!”
“Never.”
“NOOOOOO!!!” Chapter 3 part 1
“I don’t believe you.” Said Dave
“You’ve got to!”
“That’s the most unrealistic story I’ve ever heard.”
Rai and Dave walked to the place that the incident happened after school. There was no sign of any evidence. They searched around for hours until Dave convinced Rai that it was just a day dream. Then, when Rai got home, he found a plastic box in sitting on his bed. It was covered with old symbols and a tattered label.
“To Rai, from G-.” Whispered Rai
He opened the box, using a small Swiss army knife and saw before him a single card and a letter.
“By the time you receive this box, you have already witness the power of the Guardian deck and the heartless people who want the power for evil. Be warned, the card you are about to obtain is the most powerful card I have. Keep it safe. The whole world is at steak.”

This card can only be Summoned if your opponent has 3 or more monsters on the field than you. The ATK of this monster is equal to the number of monsters your opponent controls x800. Each turn, place one spell counter on this card. You can remove 3 spell counters to Special Summon one card from your hand to your opponent's side of the field in attack position. The monster cannot be effected by Spell and Trap cards and cannot be used as a tribute for a Tribute Summon. The effects of this card cannot be negated.
There was another section to the letter, but it was burned badly and was unreadable.
“This just gets weirder and weirder.” Said Rai.
* * *
“The time has come.” Said Zen
“Shall I go?”
“I will, and when I defeat the boy, we shall unleash the power for the Great One.”
End of chapter 3 part 1
Chapter 3 part 2
It was night. A man was running towards a building. He was being followed by 4 other men. The man running came to a small alley preparing his duel disk. He looked back, catching a glimpse of silver light.
“Zen” the man whispered.
The man kept running until he saw a dead end.
“Give me the card.” Said Zen
“No!” said the man
“I gave you a chance, knights, exterminate the pathetic one.”
Then 3 men appeared from the back of the alley. The other man was trying to find a way out. It was no use. Suddenly, he felt a something small penetrating his body. Then the man fell down.
“Take him away” said Zen “and take the card too.”
* * *
Rai kept staring at the card. He had never held such a powerful card before.
“Who is G?” said Rai
Rai slipped the card in his duel disk and strolled to the park. He then heard moaning and screeching. Rai tried to run, but the park kept growing, until Rai was completely trapped.
“I have come for you.” Moaned a voice
“Who are you?” asked Rai
“I am the destroyer of worlds and the vanquisher of the guardians. It is I, Zen.”
Wait. Thought Rai, I’ve heard of this name before. It was in the guardian book. Could this be? The strongest being in the world!
End of chapter 3 part 2 Chapter 3 part 3
“You might have defeated my soldier but I am much stronger” said Zen
“But how?” asked Rai
“Because I hold in my deck the 3 Egyptian god cards”
“But people thought those cards were just a myth”
“Enough talk, let’s duel”
Rai: 4000
Zen: 8000
“What!” Yelled Rai “You can’t have 8000 life points.”
“In some cases no, but I have a special duel disk.”
“Not fair.”
“Life is never fair, draw, place 1 monster in face down position and activate final countdown, then I place 2 cards face down and end turn.”
“Final countdown!” said Rai “Oh no, I play mystic space typhoon.”
“Activate magic jammer by discarding one card.”
“Ar, Summon Rapid fire magician in attack position and place one card face down, end turn”
“Muhaaa, your pathetic, I summon Celtic guardian and activate my spell card, Monster reborn, now watch as I reborn the monster I used to activate my magic jammer.”
“No, it’s just like in the book.”
“Special summon, Obelisk the tormentor, then I tribute 2 monsters on my field to activate my obelisk’s special ability.”
“Impossible.”
“Yes, it is possible, now that my obelisk has infinite ATK I shall attack your rapid fire magician and win the duel.”
“Not so fast, activate face down, windstorm of etaqua which turns your obelisk into defense mode so that your attack is cancled.”
“Not bad, human, I expected you’d be this good.”
Then, Rai felt a tingling sensation, he tried to breath but it was almost impossible.
“Welcome to the shadow world, mortal” Laughed Zen.
End of Chapter 3 part 3 Chapter 4 part 1
“I, can't, breathe!” Coughed Rai
“I knew fools like you would never be able to withstand this force.”
Then, Rai’s duel disk began to glow and a orb of light surrounded Rai.
“I can breathe again.”
“Impossible, unless-”
Rai: 4000
Zen: 6000
“Activate turn jump.”
“Huh, no, you’re trying to pass time so your final countdown will win for you”
“Pretty smart mortal”
“Draw” said Rai “Yes, I play orb of tribute, place one card face down and end turn.”
“Blocking will not work, activate lightning vortex and place one monster in defense position.”
“Activate face down, raigeki, and then summon skilled dark magician and attack directly.”
“Activate my face down card, call of the haunted.”
“Not again, let me guess it was the card you used for lightning vortex.”
“Exactly, special summon my 2nd god card, slifer the sky dragon (2 cards in hand)”
“My magician!”
"12 turns until my final countdown will beat you."
"Never"

“Place 2 cards face down,” said Rai “end turn.”
End of chapter 4 part 1

Rai was exausted, what did he get himself into? If only he hadn't found the deck, then life would be better.

“Draw,” said Zen (3 cards in hand) “Then I activate giant trunade!”
“Activate Magic Drain.” Said Rai
“Clever, attack directly with Slifer!”
“Activate my other face down, magic cylinder!”
“I saw that coming, place one card face down (1 card in hand), end turn.”
(10 turns until final count downs effect activates)

“Draw, activate Swords of revealing lights.” Said Rai “then, I play Dark magic Curtain(has 3 dark magicians in his deck), then I tribute my dark magician to summon dark eradicator warlock and attack Slifer.”
“Activate blast with chain”
“End turn.”
Rai: 1850
Zen: 4000
(9 turns until final count downs effect activates)
“Draw, activate another turn jump (1 card in hand) and end my turn.”
“Draw,” said Rai “Activate Premature burial to special summon my Dark magician, now attack slifer.”
“Ha, you’re falling right in my trap.”

End of Chapter 4 part 2 Chapter 4 part 3
This isn’t good, thought Rai. He’s unstoppable, I … can’t.
Rai: 1050

“Summon historic fairy and activate ax of despair (2800 ATK), now attack Dark magician.” Yelled Zen
Rai: 750

(5 turns until final count downs effect activates)
“Summon Gemini elf and place two card face down, end turn.” Sighed Rai
(4 turns until final count downs effect activates)
“Draw, I attack your Gemini elf with my historic fairy.”
“Activate Graceful dice and skull dice. (Rolls 5 for graceful dice and 6 for skull dice) Your fairy is finished!”
Rai: 750
Zen: 2300
(3 turns until final count downs effect activates)
Then, the orb protecting Rai began to slowly disappear.
“What’s happening?” asked Rai
“You’ve simply ran out of power.” Grinned Zen “and your luck, I draw and activate my final Turn jump, which passes the time by 3 turns and activates my final countdown's effect. You have lost.”
The darkness around Rai started to get darker.
“You will be trapped in the shadow world forever” Laughed Zen “and I suppose I’ll take your deck too.”
“No” Pleaded Rai “no!”
Then Rai started to faint, but this time he thought he wasn’t going to be able to get out.
“Rai” cried out a voice.
“Wha?” asked Rai warily
“I am the guardian, at least, the guardian’s spirit.”
“Why are you here?”
“I am not the only one; the whole village corrupted by Zen is here.”
“How can we get out?”
“Believe, and you will be free”
Rai concentrated as hard as he could, using all his strength. Suddenly, the spirit entered Rai’s body and then Rai felt a surge of power. He awoke in the middle of a street. He saw everywhere darkness and screaming. The worse has still to come.
End of Chapter 4 part 3 Chapter 5 part 1
Chaos, destruction, Armageddon, and end of the world might be some of the words used to describe what Rai saw. But no mere adjective would be close enough.
“You all right,” said the guardian
“I’m fine, but the world is not.” Sighed Rai
“Don’t be so hard on yourself.”
“I never thought that this day would come”
“We’ll save the world.”
“But, the deck is gone.”
“You can still build a new deck can’t you?”
Then, Rai heard someone shouting
“Help” the voice yelled.
Rai ran towards the noise and saw that his friend, Dave was being dragged along with Jack by demons.
“I’ll save you,” said Rai
Suddenly, the two demons hovered around Rai. Then slowly Rai began to glow and light zapped through the two humongous demons, vaporizing them to nothing.
“Rai,” said Dave happily
“What’s happening?” cried Jack
“How did this begin?” asked Rai
“It was horrible,” said Dave “First there was a cloud of darkness, then screaming, and then these monsters began to show up and dragged people to a portal.”
“Do you know where the portal is?” asked Rai.
“Kinda…”
“Then let’s get our dueling decks ready and prepare for anything.”
1 hour later.
“Hope the new deck i built from scratch is good.” Said Rai
“Sure it is,” said the guardian
“Who you talking to?” asked Jack
“Nobody”

“The great one is awaiting you” said a demon
“As I expected,” said Zen
“You’ve done a great job indeed” said a voice
“Thank you my lord.”
“Do you have the deck?”
“Yes”
“And the boy?”
“He is enjoying his stay at the shadow world”
“I don’t sense him”
“But I saw for myself.”
“Go find him, and destroy him.”
“Yes, my lord.” Chapter 5 part 2
“There it is!” cried Dave “hurry up”
“So this is the portal.”
A swirling sound came from nowhere and then appeared before them was another portal, but this one was smaller.
“So you have survived” said Zen
“You!” muttered Rai
“Who’s that?” said Jack
“I am, the one, the only, Zen”
Suddenly, another portal appeared and sucked them right in. It was weird traveling through a space tunnel, it felt like time was passing very slowly, his mind slowly lost consciousness. Finally, there was an opening at the end of the portal and they jumped out.
“The boy as you requested sir,” said Zen
“Good,” the voice
“Why did you bring us here?” Asked Rai
“I want my mommy!” cried Jack
“To destroy you,” Said the voice
“Who are you?”
“The most powerful evil that exists, The Great One!”
“If your strong as you say then duel me” said Rai “and if I win, you must release us and go back from which you came from.”
“But if I win” said The Great One “You, your friends, and Earth go bye bye.”
“You nuts?” Shouted Dave “There’s no way you can beat him.”
“But this is the only way.” Said Rai
“Draw!”
End of Chapter 5 part 2 Chapter 5 part 3
The Great One: 4000
Rai: 4000
“Summon Doomcaliber knight in attack position and place 2 cards face down” bellowed the great one “Then I end my turn.”
“Draw” said Rai “Summon luster dragon in attack position and equip it with black pendant (2400 ATK) now attack doomcaliber knight”
“Activate skull dice (rolls a 5)”
“uhh, Place one card face down and end turn.”
The Great One: 3500
Rai: 4000
“Draw, then activate facedown, polymerization to fuse my 3 blue eyes white dragon to summon my Blue eyes ultimate dragon.”
“No way!”
“Now attack directly” screeched the great one
“Activate face down, scapegoat” said Rai
“Place one card face down and end turn”
“Draw, activate brain control on your dragon!”
“Nice move!” yelled Dave
“Now I’ll attack you directly,” said Rai confidently.
“Activate my facedown, de-fusion”
“What?”
“Now instead of one dragon I have 3 on the field, I can see al your moves before you can even make them!”
“But, that’s cheating” shouted Dave
“Too bad” said the great one.
“I summon one monster in face down position and end turn,”
How can I defeat a foe who knows all my moves? Rai thought
“You can” said a voice
“Guardian!” thought Rai “You can help me, how can I beat him?”
“You have the power to do anything, and anything is possible,” said the Guardian
“Anything is possible,” whispered Rai
End of Chapter 5 part 3 Chapter 6 part 1
The Great One: 3500
Rai: 4000
“Pathetic, your nothing compared to me!” snarled the Great One
“I’ll beat you some how” yelled Rai
“Ha,” the great one drew a card “just what I need, I activate Megamorph and fairy meteor crush on one of my blue eyes, then I’ll attack your face down monster!”
“No!”
Doomed, Rai thought, he looked up on the field to see what was left of his monster.
“Your Big Shield Gardna is no more!” said the great one.
The Great One: 3500
Rai: 600
“Draw!” Rai bellowed “C’mon… yes finally, I place 2 cards face-down and end my turn.”
“You’re just bluffing, you cannot beat me, and I’ll attack your scapegoat directly with my equipped blue eyes”
“Activate face-down Scrap Metal Scarecrow.”
Rai was saved by a single card; he knew that there would have to be a miracle to win. He felt tired, so tired he was half awake. His hand began to tremble, he concentrated as hard as he could, using all his strength to fight the sleepiness inside him. He could hear his friends cheering for him; he looked back down at his cards and nodded, he will defeat the Great One.
