RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Wait a second...
Do I download this program from the first page or from the link that Dillie-O just gave us?

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
I'd recommend using the latter only because I have not had any reports of download problems yet and it is the same copy of the installer you'd find in the forums link. Eventually the "toolkit" download will become the official link anyway, as I'm working on migrating things over.

I'm having the same problem as Tickle me emo. Although I do have paint so hopefully this helps. If you need the better detailed page please tell and I will put it up. I really want it working right.

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Greetings Dargon of Fire,

I don't want to thread jack things here, so I'll offer these two ideas...

1) Do you have the .net 2.0 framework installed? If not, check the link on page 1 here for a link. It may be worthwhile to download it again and reinstall it just to be safe. Microsoft can be picky that way.

2) Are you running a non english version of Windows? While I've gone to a good extent to make things compatible in the installer for the international versions, there does seem to be a nuance with a few international versions of Windows, especially the Danish version. Unfortunately I don't have a working solution for this at this time (after a lot of tweaks and research) but I'm hoping to have an improved installer with a newer version of Deck Studio to accommodate this.

If neither is the case with this, please consider going to http://www.deckstudio.net/forums/index.php and putting continuing to discuss things there.

Hope this helps!

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Dillie-O, Let me be the first to say that I do not trust your content, and that I do not believe you are who you say you are. Deck Studio was designed by styleshout and only copyrighted under Dillie-O Digital.

As it stands to all members who reads this message, DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING FROM THE SITE THAT HAS BEEN POSTED BY DILLIE-O, UNLESS YOU SCAN IT FIRST.

Dillie-O Digital is only responsible for the "Downloadable Client" of Deck Studio, I highly doubt you, a representative of such company...

a) Made revisions to a project that is not lawfully your own
b) Come to this site randomly out of the blue.

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Greetings Nate,

I appreciate your concern for all the folks out here and downloading software, especially when you are providing the link to things. There is way too many trojans, spyware and the like out there and one false link can make things a nightmare.

If it is any form of verification, I have started referencing folks to the toolkit support site downloads for a little while now, as evidenced in a support post here: http://www.deckstudio.net/forums/index.p...ic=155.15. The actual link is about three messages down on this page and there are a few other threads where I've been referencing the new site.

To help clear up any concerns, the site design was done using a free stylesheet provided by styleshout, since I haven't had the time to really work on a polished front end for things. The new design is done by another free CSS template, that I'm making a few tweaks myself in the meantime. Yes it is a radically different look, but I'm also trying to consolidate Deck Studio, RONIN, and netrep.net under a "single banner" that I can easily make news announcements, download updates, and the like.

As a double check, if you go to the Help->About screen in both Deck Studio and RONIN (if you happen to be running it), you'll notice that both of these are Dillie-O Digital products. Similarly, if you go to netrep.net, you'll see that the main page has a Dillie-O Digital reference down at the bottom of the page.

I'm not sure if there is anything else I can offer at the moment to prove to you who I am, but feel free to drop me an e-mail using the e-mail address I registered under. I can see how it appears that I have "popped in" since this thread has been around for a while now, but I hadn't noticed things until I saw a spike in my reference reports from your site and wanted to drop in to 1. Say "Thank you" for the link, I GREATLY appreciate it and 2. To see if anybody was running into problems (such as the one Tickle me emo and Dargon are having).

If there is anything else I can do to gain you trust, please don't hesitate to let me know.

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
I would just really hate for People to fall into Malicious software during this time. Alot is going on in the world, and i know alot of members may not be Technologically aware of how damaging a virus can be to their systems. Non the less i still insist that every download be scanned before using. If any member reading this does not know where they can scan a file, may i suggest these sites.

http://www.virustotal.com/
http://virusscan.jotti.org/

As it is right now, I cant prove you are who you say you are, I can only go by what you shown. I apologize if i cam off rude, i just don't want anybody crashing systems because they want to use a program to better their decks.

Nah, that makes complete sense and I don't think you're being rude at all. Again, I appreciate you wanting to make sure everything is legit.

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Hey Dillie-O, do you think you are gonna update the program so that synchros go into the extra deck instead of the main deck?

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Yes, I'm DEFINITELY getting that in the works. I've been working on a massive update to essentially everything since Synchros came out, so that is what has caused the delay. I'm just about done getting the Tournament Card Registry updated to support Synchros and the like, so netrep.net will get updated first. Then RONIN and Deck Studio will follow shortly after that to reflect the changes.

Thanks lots Dillie-O. I'm downloading it right now. I'll try to post/edit when it's done.

Well, that didn't work, I guess I'll try the other guy's method.

And yes, this thread must be stickied at once.

DOH! I can't believe I've let that slip for so long. Thanks for the swift kick in the teeth 8^D I have the TCR updated now for DLG1 and RP01, and the images should be available here in the next day or two.

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Sweet! Do you have plans of adding OCG (Japanese Cards) or a OCG Database for Deck Studio?

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
That is kind of a tricky issue at the moment. I've gone back and forth on the issue, the primary one being that I'd need to work some extra validation into the application in order for Deck Studio to stay "tournament compatible", which is why you also don't see the God Cards and the like in the TCR.

However, I am in the process of taking over ccgdb.com, which if you are not familiar with the site is like netrep, but has multiple CCGs (M:TG, Naruto, Pokemon, WOW, etc.) which I'm now going to incorporate into the TCR. It shouldn't take too much work to make happen, but I think those that play multiple card games will be happy to have the same program handle them all.

This kind of redefines the playing field and I'm going to look have to look at the issue again.

Gah! There I go again, a long and babbling answer to a short question. Sorry for the ramble.

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
Thats not a problem, But can I ask this. What about creating a Program that allowed the Useres to create and inject Ban List and create their own Database. In the end, It saves you time, and it allows for more hands on use of Deck Studio. Although I hate YVD, that is one think I liked about them. They made the program Easy enough to add cards, and less strain on thier programmers.

RE: Helpful Deck Building Program
I'll have to think about that one again. It has been an ongoing debate ever since things got off the ground (just like the OCGs) and always gets revisited every so often.

When I try to use the program it loads and then starts complaining about fonts and closes.

Any ideas?

Programs don't complain, people do.
2nd, Try uninstalling it, and reinstall it. Than Make sure your .NET Framework is up to date. You can find that on the front page, or search Google for it. If your using a MAC, than you may not use this program.
