I doubt it will get banned. It would have a better chance of getting Limited than banned if it were to happen. Im unsure about the release date if any. I wanna build a Deck around this for sure when and if it hits the TCG.

I caught a glimpse of Konami's prototype March 2009 banlist, and I noticed that Sand Gambler is Semi-Limited on it.
