Can I do something like post a fan fic than put "Reserved For Future Use" or something on my next two post on my thread so if I put too much on my first post I can start adding to the second one?

I wanted to see if this was aloud.

I has question. If I say, want to post a character popularity poll for my story, yet I didn't make my topic a poll originally, can I be allowed to post a NEW topic for such a matter (just for a poll)? And then close it down after a week or so?

When you post a story, does it have to be based on something that is already made, like yugioh or something?
