RE: Yu-Gi-Oh vs. Magic The Gathering
Magic is MUCH more strategic than Yu-Gi-Oh. There is so much more you can do in the game, the matches last a lot longer, and everybody doesn't use the same kind of Deck. I don't mock anybody else's opinions, so do not mock mine.

Added to that, you have much more catch-up time. A match is never decided by a single card.. Even the best cards have drawbacks, regardless of what happens. (Including the Infinite Mana cards etc...) |

RE: Yu-Gi-Oh vs. Magic The Gathering
MTG has most of their rulings on the cards, (Especially the ones that come in the decks have these rulings on them). You can look at earlier cards on how Mana works :/...
Confusing? nah... |

MTG rooted from the biggest impact on young kids of it generation. Dungeons and Dragons. MTG has been around since about that time, but never really went into proper circulation until the late 80's. Their system allows even broken cards to be balanced, and it took only 20min for me to learn the game (outside the shortcuts in effects like: Haste and First Strike). YGO on the other hand is less balanced and hardly fair at the Metagame Level. Also the variety for competitive decks are few and far between. Stories in the game/show are irrelevant. It is how the game plays out. Now if you take your cues from an anime to watch (which takes 30min+) than learn how to sit contently for 20min learning MTG. My god do I feel sorry for you... |
