DIY Custom Pokemon cards! Tutorial!
Alright, this tut has taken my a long time to make so i hope you like it!
Step 1: First you go here (http://www.sugarshock.net/zeo/) or here (http://pokemonaaah.net/myofc/download.shtml) and download the frames and symbols ect. or save them to your computer as both ways work. Hang on, when you download them you save them to your computer anyway! Step 2: Open your image editing program (GIMP, Photoshop, MSPaint ect.) Step 3: Open the frame that you want to make a card with. Step 4: Start by writing the name of the pokemon in Humanist Condensed Bold Size 20 or Gill Sans Condensed Bold Size 18 - 22 about 3 pixels to the right of the image border edge. Step 5: Write the stats of the pokemon in the little box right underneath the picture in Humanist Condensed Bold Size 10 or Gill Sans Condensed Bold Size 8 - 10. You can look up the stats of pokemon here (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/L...Dex_number). Step 6: Write the name of the attacks in Humanist Condensed Bold Size 18 or less (depends on the amount of room you have) or Gill Sans Condensed Bold Size 18 or less (depends on the amount of room you have). The description of the attacks is Humanist Size 12 or less or Gill Sans Size 12 or less. Step 7: Write the flavour text in the box with a gold edge near the bottom in Humanist Condensed Bold Size 10 or Gill Sans Condensed Bold Size 8 - 10. The level must be 4 spaces right of the final word in the text and the number must be 4 spaces right of the level. Step 8: I knew i'd forgotten something so i will write it now! The Hp goes in Century Gothic Bold Size 16 a few pixels left of the type symbol and the bottom must be level with the name. Step 9: Insert the Weakness/Resistance/Retreat Cost symbols. The weakness symbol must be centered with the "akn" in weakness, the resistance symbol must be centered with the "ista" in resistance and the retreat cost must have the middle centered with the "at " in retreat cost. Step 10: Write "Illus -name of artist-" in the bottom left corner of the card and it must be as close as possible to the border without touching it. You can choose the font for this but some sort of Humanist or Gill Sans is recommended. Size must be 9. Step 11: If you like you can insert a rarity symbol in the bottom right corner. Step 12: Insert and resize your picture and Voila! Your done! There you have it! A tutorial to make your very own pokemon cards! Tips and tricks of the trade! RE: DIY Custom Pokemon cards! Tutorial!
Thanks for this tutorial!
I'd still prefer use a generator, but this still has amazing outcomes. And that list of attacks of different elements is useful. Bookmarked. One of the best tutorials out here IMO. |

RE: DIY Custom Pokemon cards! Tutorial!
I'm gonna fully try it when I've got the full package. I tried some bits, like the text, adding an image, etc. etc. And that worked. Awesome tutorial, once again. Now I just hope I don't get too into Pokemon Cards --.--
