The world of Lath was once a world. Two races lived in that world, the first race was the Human race. These peaceful beings lived a quiet peaceful existence in harmony with the world. The second race was the formidable Vampires. These near-immortal conquers set out to build great cities and gain dominion over all living things. In time, their aggression enslaved the passive Human race with little resistence. The Vampires reigned supreme. The Humans were enslaved.

 

Divided by hatred, a war for freedom would soon ensue. Both thought their survival depended on victory over the other species. According to legend, the humans enlisted the help of an unknown presence, anger, which gave them the ability to draw on magical force, the humans became demonic like warriors who attacked with fierce supernatural combat skills and deadly magic. They began to overpower the Vampires in bloody confrontations. And yet, it was a tie. Then they learned to co-exist with each other afterwards, or so they thought.

 

Lath, a world currently engulfed in war. The young tyrant Vampire Lord Elnar declared war against the humans when it seemed most likely that the two could co-exist. The vampires took control and took over more than half of the entire world, due to Lord Elnar, thus bring the age back into the Age of the Vampires, and this time, they won't fall to trickery again.

 

Will you stop them, or will you join them? Will you uphold, or will you betray? Will you stay sane, or will you go in-sane?

First off. The world of Lath only has a full moon once every year, so that only gives you one chance to transform into a werewolf once if you are one.

Vampires cannot transform humans into them. They are considered a completely different species. Though they do live at most two hundred years, from baby to adult is just the same rate as a human.

Magic is only usable by humans. Only the vampires with royal blood can use magic, distant relatives work too.

 

At night, a glowing red comet can be seen in the sky. It's a beautiful comet that can be seen every night. It would have been studied extensively and would have been fascinated by many if not for Lord Elnar.

 

Also as a side note, Lath got it's name from 'Wrath'. Wrath sounds like Rath and if you add the 'Engrish' problem, it becomes Lath.

Bio: John had grown up with his father teaching him how to fight and defend himself. He was horrified when the new king, Elnar, declared war onto every human out there. His father had died during the ensuing battle. And his father so happened to be the leader of the Humans at the time. Now with his death, John has to take responsibility and take it in his own hands. Now he leads the human faction against Lord Elnar's army.

Personality: Always courageous and fearless, a true example of a leader. He believes in justice and will not hesitate to destroy evil.

Bio: A Vampire born of royal blood. He is the brother of Elnar von Mira and dissaproves of his actions, especially after he burned their older brother to the very last piece. So in response, he began aiding the humans in secret before Lord Elnar discovered his actions and locked him up in prison. But after having convinced the jailer to release him, by telling him a very sad story, he openly joined the humans in their quest to dethrone Lord Elnar. He is completely disgusted with his brother's actions.

Bio: Alex was born of a human mother & a Vampire Father, which is rare among this time. He was raised by his mother, because his father would not, because of the risk of being caught. Alex looked like a human, so his mother would raise him so Alex could live a normal life. But Alex learned of his powers early, & nagged his mother to tell him. She explained his heritage, his father was a vampire. Yet, he joined the humans when he was 12. They saw him as a good asset because a hybrid would be a good asset. But, he is constantly tempted to join his father's side. Like a person with friends on both sides of a rivalry.

Bio: A descendant from a long line of samurai, fighting for his own sake, as for he's the last of he's a sole clan survivor. Vampires were pure evil in his eyes and were to be annihilated on sight. He now wanders from town to town, desperately trying to continue living and chopping down any vampire that would dare cross his path.

Personality: Fully focused and revenge, even though he was calm and friendly before the attack on his clan.

When the war had began between the Humans and Vampires, Johnathan was only a young boy and his father was in battle. Over the years, his father was one the Humans' best warriors. Even though he fought triumphantly, his death is what partially caused the defeat of the Humans. Before his death, though, he had been fighting without the use of Magic, that is, until he learned about the Blood Cave of Legends.

 

It is a special cave that shows spiritual graves of great Human warriors that died in battle. It also revealed a special rock in the center of the cave that was magically charmed. It was called the Omega Crystal. It was said to unlock the magical potential of a swordsman upon touching it called Legend Blood Form. It has a similar aspect of the Onimusha Form, but with many different appearances. It also allows the ability of Magic through one's sword. It also collects the memories of uses of the form by the user.

 

Johnathan's father was the first in his generation to obtain such a form, but he became obsessed with the power, using it vigorously and draining his own life force through abusively using it. It ultimately lead to his death when Johnathan was in his early adult years. The swords were given to him before so. He had used a normal longsword with the form, causing the ultimate sacrifice.

 

Johnathan was also told of the Blood Cave of Legends. He was the only one who knew of it. He had found it during one night and found the Omega Crystal; however, he didn't touch it, knowing that he might abuse the power as well. He had decided that he wouldn't go to it unless it was really necessary.

 

Today, Johnathan uses the first sword his father given him, the Alondite. The other two swords are placed in a glass case, only to use when needed. He is now living on the journey of his father and now wishes to end this war once and for all. He will find Vampire Lord Elnar and bring him to his knees, no matter what it takes. This war will end, but by Johnathan's hands.

Meaning "Blade of 10,000 Stars", this is one of Johnathan's most precious Longswords. It was given to him by his own father. It was the very sword he used to slay 100 Vampires.

Another sword given to his father. It's another precious blade. One that fits the word "Dragon" in its name. This blade was used to slay 200 Vampires and 150 Hybrids.

Bio: Fear adopted his name after he killed a vampire for the first time at the age of thirteen. In that fight, he had been severely underestimated by his opponent and as a result he won without so much as being touched by his oponent. This utter dominance in battle was due to training all of his life. At the age of fifteen he became one of the most dominant, if not the most dominant new recruits in the human army. However, when the peace came about he was put out of a job. When the war resumed, many recruits before were killed. As a result, at the age of twenty he was place as a high ranking lieutenant under a general for the army and became known as The Immortal Fear, since it appeared as though he couldn't be killed.

Personality: Fear seems to know nothing of his name. He faces challenges head on, he welcomes them. Some might go as far as to say he creates them just so he can settle them. yet at the same time he's intelligent and quiet, kind to most and severely fiery to some.

Bio: Sald was born into a family of Nobles originally in the King of the Human's court. When the Vampires attacked, being led by Elnar, his family was one of the only ones to survive. However, his father had died, and this led Sald, his eldest son, to be the heir of his father's title, lord of the Province of Eldjudar, a small area of land perhaps 10 square miles, but well known for it's magical potential. Sald had some of that potential, but not enough to become an exemplary magician. However, after studying magic intensely, and becoming one of the greatest minds when it came to magic, he learnt of a cave(the blood cave of Legends, with permission from you double) that when found, gave the finder an impressive array of magical power. Sald has devoted his life to finding this cave, aswell as teaching future mages of the human resistance.

Weapons: A longsword, a Longbow, Twin long knives and an extensive knowledge of magic, although he doesn't have enough energy to fully use that knowledge, and is instead a teacher of magic to those with high potential.

Faction: Humans

Personality: Sald is a determined and strong willed character with an immeadiate sense of justice. However, he is also merciful and lacks the power to kill openly, prefering to maim and capture. He has killed his fair few of Vampires, more than most, but doesn't brag, instead hating himself for murdering.

Appearance: See that vampire guy in the banner? That's him.

Bio: A Vampire born of royal blood. He had burned his older brother to the very last piece, so he could take the throne for himself. He then proceeded to get rid of humans. He had gotten tired of them long enough. They had trespassed on his streets long enough. And so he declared war against them, determined to purge the land of these rodents once and for all. Meanwhile, his little brother who is a mere 12, Alsa, who he had locked in prison, had managed to escape. He actually has absolutely no reason to hate the humans and wage war on them. They're just so weak and puny and filthy in his eyes.

Weapons: Magic.

Faction: Vampires.

Personality: A sadistic maniac, blind and determined to destroy and burn obstacles in his way. He hates humans more than anything. Your typical tyrant.

Name: Maria Sancran

Appearance: Maria is tall and slender, and has pale skin, though her still youthful face gives her age away amongst the other vampires. She has long black hair, flowing down to her waist, tied together with a band near the bottom, Even though she has blood red eyes, she always looks sad, or distant. She usually wears a white lab coat, with a black outfit underneath.

Bio: Maria grew up in a peaceful household, filled with vampires who longed for peace. Obviously, her current mindset reflects that, as she hopes for this war to end. To this end, she grew up training for more scholarly pursuits, and became a scientists. Still, even scientists are needed in the war, so she was drafted to provide weapons and technology to the front line, which, in the end caused her to get involved in the fighting. Currently, she spends her spare time trying to figure out why Lord Elnar wants to wage this war, but she is often shunned and sent back to fight

Weapons:

[spoiler=Grand Acid Cannon]This weapon is large; 10 feet tall, and eight feet wide. It expands into a cannon that takes small acid pellets, and expands them, before launching the acid, covering a large and wide area. The acid corrodes metal it touches, and burns skin, though it can't do lasting damage unless left untreated for longer than an hour. Designed by Maria as a demoralizing siege weapon.

 

[spoiler=Sancran Polearm]A halberd given to Maria by her father to fight in the war with. Modified to have a collapsible shaft for portability, with minimal loss of structural integrity.

 

[spoiler=Casting Rod]A small wand (actually a part of a fishing rod broken off), infused with royal vampiric blood that, when resonating with the small traces of royal blood running through her, allows her to cast spells. The spells cast can get impressive, but causes her to tire out quickly, forcing her to stick with basic spells when using the wand.

 

Faction: Vampire

Personality: Maria is kind to everyone she meets. If there wasn't war, she would be intermingling with humans and vampires equally. She does identify with vampires more, so fights against the humans, though she would prefer if they fled. She is normally upbeat, but has grown more cynical and withdrawn as the war continues, usually only speaking up when it has to do with her job, finding out how to stop this war, or when someone's life is on the line.

Race: Vampire

Appearance: Pale skin, decent build. Dark purple eyes that seem almost pitch black. White long hair that ends where his ears would be.

Bio: He was born under the royal family, although does not care too much about the human race, or vampire race at that. He only wishes to fight, war and hate has clouded his mind. He does not care which side he fights for, or what he fights for at all. His only goal is too find out what his purpose in life is, it had bothered him for all his life, he doesn't understand what it is he must do to fulfill his role on Lath. And at times he will do anything to find his purpose, weather that be kill an innocent soul, or wipe out an entire race.

Weapons: Dual blades, and several daggers, knives, and switchblades.

Faction: Vampires for now...

Personality: He is very mysterious you never know what is going through his mind, he could be thinking of a way to help save the world of thinking up a plot that includes torturing innocent civilians.

Makuta was Johnathan Mason's father's arch enemy and the third most-powerful vampire next to Elnar Von Mira. When Johnathan's father was near death, it was said that Makuta was the one who ended his life by a stab through the heart.

 

The two became arch rivals on the battlefield because Johnathan's father nearly killed him in his Ancient Form many times years ago, but was then highly weakened and ended the form on the seventh time, giving Makuta the upper hand and stabbing him through the heart, killing him instantly.

 

When he had heard that his son was known to be in existence, or in any case of actually being alive, he vowed to end his existence, along with his entire next generation, if it ever comes to be that is. But that is not his ultimate goal. His true goal is to bring extinction to the Human Race and end the war permanently by his own hands if necessary.

 

He had heard of the Blood Cave of Legends, but he did not believe in such a myth of that mere crystal. He only believed of it to worth a bigger fortune than Elnar Von Mira's kingdom, which he is afraid about. He wants to rule his kingdom, but when his authority has weakened. That is when he will step in with the Omega Crystal and take the kingdom over, or so he thinks.

 

It doesn't matter what it takes, he'll do what is needed to end this war and bring the world of Lath to its knees by the wrath of the race of the Vampires.

He was trained to be unmatched, and would have won the war for the vampires if not for his hatred of them. He escaped the vampire kingdom and, in the disguise of a human, arrived at the gates of a village. He entered the village, and was accepted by the community, untill he was attacked by a gang of kids and fought back in his hybrid state. He was shunned and attacked, fleeing the village. He is currently travelling to the human capital to offer his services to the human army.

Rayge knew almost nothing of the war as he was growing up. In fact, the small farming community he lived in was quite far removed from the conflict for a very long time. That is, until the Vampire's advance brought them to his neck of the woods. When he was just fifteen years old, two squads of Vampiric soldiers made their way into his village and just started cutting. The villagers were no soldiers, and as such were cut down. Now, the vampires made their way to the house in which Rayge lived with his parents. Rayge's father, however, was particularly skilled in the use of magic and by luck he had come home from the fields to find a tool with which to repair a plow. He brought many of the soldiers down using both magic and a War Hammer he had inherited from his father. However, the commander of these squads was a distant relative of the royal family, and as such was rather skilled in magic himself. It was this one who smote his father to the ground. Rayge had been out in the fields, along with most of the other boys his age, at that time. When they saw the slaughter in the village center, Rayge immediately ran back to his house, the other boys going to theirs. He arrived there, seeing his father's corpse impaled on a pike and just in time to witness the Vampires finish off his mother after having raped her. Now, seeing this, he was consumed by the very force which allowed Humans the use of magic. Anger flowed through him as surely as his own blood and consumed him. The sheer power of the magic he unleashed gave his body the properties of mountain granite. The remaining Vampiric soldiers tried in vain to bring him down, their weapons shattering against his now stony body. He tore them all to pieces with his bare hands. The commander, however, had fled when he saw the power that Rayge commanded. He was in eye shot though, and still was not safe. Slamming his fist into the ground, Rayge sent a massive stone spike up into the commander, ripping him apart. After that day, Rayge and the other boys took whatever weapons they could find, Rayge taking his father's War Hammer and the armored chest plate he now wears, and made their way to the nearest garrison of the Human Army. For two years he fought directly in the war, driven by the rage (pun intended) that consumed him from that day on. He hated all vampires at this time, but gradually his anger began to cool. He realized that the very soldiers he was killing had families of their own and that he was only doing to others what the Vampires had done to him. He left the military just three weeks after his nineteenth birthday and has since began wandering and trying to bring the war to an end in a way that would allow both factions to once more coexist peacefully. However, it seems that violence always manages to find him.

 

Weapons:

He wields only one weapon, the War Hammer which his father and grandfather before him had wielded. During his brief military career he came to learn that it was named Mountain Hewer and that it allowed him to bring his magical power into a greater focus, especially that which manipulated earth and stone.

Faction: Neutral

Personality: Rayge is normally a very peaceful and calm person now. The fury he used to feel has long since died down and it no longer consumes him. It is VERY difficult, almost impossible, to get him into a fight and even if you do odds are he'll just try to incapacitate you without doing serious harm. He is a very skilled fighter and incredibly proficient in magic, so if you do some how manage to get him into a position where he HAS to kill you...he will not hesitate to do so very quickly.

Appearance: Maria is tall and slender, and has pale skin, though her still youthful face gives her age away amongst the other vampires. She has long black hair, flowing down to her waist, tied together with a band near the bottom, Even though she has blood red eyes, she always looks sad, or distant. She usually wears a white lab coat, with a black outfit underneath.

Bio: Maria grew up in a peaceful household, filled with vampires who longed for peace. Obviously, her current mindset reflects that, as she hopes for this war to end. To this end, she grew up training for more scholarly pursuits, and became a scientists. Still, even scientists are needed in the war, so she was drafted to provide weapons and technology to the front line, which, in the end caused her to get involved in the fighting. Currently, she spends her spare time trying to figure out why Lord Elnar wants to wage this war, but she is often shunned and sent back to fight

Weapons:

[spoiler=Grand Acid Cannon]This weapon is large; 10 feet tall, and eight feet wide. It expands into a cannon that takes small acid pellets, and expands them, before launching the acid, covering a large and wide area. The acid corrodes metal it touches, and burns skin, though it can't do lasting damage unless left untreated for longer than an hour. Designed by Maria as a demoralizing siege weapon.

 

[spoiler=Sancran Polearm]A halberd given to Maria by her father to fight in the war with. Modified to have a collapsible shaft for portability, with minimal loss of structural integrity.

 

[spoiler=Casting Rod]A small wand (actually a part of a fishing rod broken off), infused with royal vampiric blood that, when resonating with the small traces of royal blood running through her, allows her to cast spells. The spells cast can get impressive, but causes her to tire out quickly, forcing her to stick with basic spells when using the wand.

 

Faction: Vampire

Personality: Maria is kind to everyone she meets. If there wasn't war, she would be intermingling with humans and vampires equally. She does identify with vampires more, so fights against the humans, though she would prefer if they fled. She is normally upbeat, but has grown more cynical and withdrawn as the war continues, usually only speaking up when it has to do with her job, finding out how to stop this war, or when someone's life is on the line.

When the war had began between the Humans and Vampires, Johnathan was only a young boy and his father was in battle. Over the years, his father was one the Humans' best warriors. Even though he fought triumphantly, his death is what partially caused the defeat of the Humans. Before his death, though, he had been fighting without the use of Magic, that is, until he learned about the Blood Cave of Legends.

 

It is a special cave that shows spiritual graves of great Human warriors that died in battle. It also revealed a special rock in the center of the cave that was magically charmed. It was called the Omega Crystal. It was said to unlock the magical potential of a swordsman upon touching it called Legend Blood Form. It has a similar aspect of the Onimusha Form, but with many different appearances. It also allows the ability of Magic through one's sword. It also collects the memories of uses of the form by the user.

 

Johnathan's father was the first in his generation to obtain such a form, but he became obsessed with the power, using it vigorously and draining his own life force through abusively using it. It ultimately lead to his death when Johnathan was in his early adult years. The swords were given to him before so. He had used a normal longsword with the form, causing the ultimate sacrifice.

 

Johnathan was also told of the Blood Cave of Legends. He was the only one who knew of it. He had found it during one night and found the Omega Crystal; however, he didn't touch it, knowing that he might abuse the power as well. He had decided that he wouldn't go to it unless it was really necessary.

 

Today, Johnathan uses the first sword his father given him, the Alondite. The other two swords are placed in a glass case, only to use when needed. He is now living on the journey of his father and now wishes to end this war once and for all. He will find Vampire Lord Elnar and bring him to his knees, no matter what it takes. This war will end, but by Johnathan's hands.

Meaning "Blade of 10,000 Stars", this is one of Johnathan's most precious Longswords. It was given to him by his own father. It was the very sword he used to slay 100 Vampires.

Appearance: His face is wrinkly. Since he lived so long he accumulated wealth and all outfits are trimmed with gold cloth. He wears transparent chain mail under his robes. He wears golden shinguards on both legs. He wears a long-brimmed black hat to disguise his eyes. Wears robes of different colors

Bio: As a small child he grew up happily with no wars. Always prepared for human craftiness, as his father put it, he was taught to use weapons. One day during a gathering of other young vampires, everyone in his class died but him. His parents never told him how they died. He had magical powers after this incident and blamed himself for their deaths. He found out when he was 356 that vampires with powers have them from birth. He didn't question what happened that day as he could do nothing about it. No one knows, but him about what happened after that point up till 75 years from today. And little know about his early life. He lived longer than most vampires.
