The War Machines [21/??]

These are a group of (hopefully growing) Machine-Type monsters based on mechs commonly used for war (hence the name). Their effects employ a type of recycling through battle to maintain card advantage. the main 5(+) War Machines have aggressive effects to help maintain the field and punish defensive players. The synchroes are support for the main ones, increasing the recycling capability, providing offense, etc.

Once during your Main Phase, you can discard 1 card from your hand to destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on your opponent's side of the field. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 level 4 or lower "War Machine" monster from your Deck to your hand.[/spoiler]

During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 level 4 or lower "War Machine" monster from your Deck to your hand.[/spoiler]

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, you can remove this card and 1 other card on the field from play. If you remove this card by this effect, return those monsters to the field in the same battle position as when they were removed from play during your next Standby Phase. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 level 4 or lower "War Machine" monster from your Deck to your hand.[/spoiler]

If this card attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or applying damage calculation. Once per duel, if this card is in your hand, you can toss a coin. If you call it right, you can discard this card to destroy 1 monster on the field to the Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 level 4 or lower "War Machine" monster from your Deck to your hand.[/spoiler]

If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, this card gains 500 ATK during the Damage Step. Negate the effects of face-up Defense Position monsters this card attacks. This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. If there is a face-up Field Spell Card on the field, you can Tribute 1 level 3 or lower "War Machine" monster to Special Summon this card. If this card is Special Summoned this way, it's ATK is equal to double the ATK of the Tributed monster. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "War Machine" monster in your hand. If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 "War Machine" monster in your Graveyard.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "War Machine" monster that was used for the Synchro Summoning of this monster. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "War Machine" monster from your hand or Graveyard, OR tribute any number of face-up "War Machine" monsters to destroy the same number of cards on your opponent's side of the field and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of cards destroyed x 500.[/spoiler][/spoiler]

You can send 1 "War Machine" monster in your hand to the Graveyard to add 1 "War Machine" monster in your Deck to your hand. If this card would be targeted by an Effect Monster's effect while this card is a Continuous Spell Card, you can discard 1 card to move this card to an adjacent column and negate that effect.[/spoiler]

EDIT: 5 new cards!! Also changed War Machine Soldier and War Machine Fleet Ship. One of the new cards was inspired by a certain set.

Thanks. The goal for this archetype was Toolbox-based, being able to search for what you need when they were destroyed in battle. I also saw that image for the Supreme Fortress monster and thought "gotta make it."

Awesome pics!

Love the idea of a powerhouse toolbox. It's not that common.

Once comment, though. Why would anyone in their right mind go for the Chimera when they could synch for Goyo Guardian? It has better attack, and an awesome effect. Maybe make an effect like -

"When a "War Machine" monster is added to your hand through a card effect, draw a card"

or

"when a "War Machine" monster is sent to the graveyard, select one "War Machine" monster from your deck, and send it to the grave. Then, add a level 4 or lower "War Machine" monster from your graveyard to your hand."

something like that.

I'd love to see more!

Thank you. I do my best to make good cards. I always love looking back at what I made and pretending to use them in my mind to see how they would fit.
