Even if the Synchro doesn't have ignition effect? Still, good card is good.Yes, it would miss the timing.

Yes, just like any optional effects in the past, the last thing to occur would be the Synchro Summon, not the trigger this card has (being sent to the Graveyard)

Pretending that it did not miss the timing (if Gusto Gulldo's lore said "If this card is sent from the Field to the Graveyard), If the Synchro had a Trigger Effect, then they'd chain together. If the Synchro had an Ignition Effect, then you wouldn't be able to call priority on the Ignition Effect if you wanted to activate this card.
