NEW SET: RENASTIRIAN REVIVAL!

A couple of years ago I made a huge set of monsters called the 'Icicles'. When I'd finished the set contained over 100 cards, and 7 different sub-archetypes. I really enjoyed making them, and the end products were pretty good. But they lacked 1 thing - playability. They didn't have the flexibility of the metagame archetypes like blackwings, six samurai and glad beasts. So I've decided to make a new ice-based archetype, where I can re-use some of my old concepts but at the same time use brand new pictures and concepts to hopefully create a working version of the Icicles.

I am calling this new archetypes the Renastirians - and amalgamation of the Latin words for 'rebirth' and 'icicle'. Their backstory is that they're a powerful race controlling the arctic tundra, descended from the original Icicle monsters. Although they are now a lot more disciplined, humanoid and imperial, they still retain a little of the original spirit of the Icicles within them - visible in such cards as the Renastirian Beast Meh-Teh and the Renastirian Spirit Mage.

This is the set so far. Comments welcome, but please do not say this concept is in any way unoriginal because of the Ice Barrier archetype - I made my original Icicle monsters before Konami even thought of the Ice Barriers.

DISCLAIMER: I do not own any of the pictures used in these cards. Many of the pictures are from the galleries of Hunduel and Jazin Kay, whilst others are old pictures from various image sites online.

EDIT: Added 6 new cards to the archetype - Renastirian Eldar Mage, Renastirian Summoner Mage and Renastirian Soldier Defensor, plus 3 new synchros: the Renastirian Ancient Guardian, Renastirian Storm Dragon and Renastirian Ancient Megashark.

As you might notice these cards have a playing style dependent on sending renastirian monsters to the Graveyard, where they use their effects or are used to power up other renastirian monsters. This makes some of the monsters quite powerful, so one thing I definitely do need people to comment on is their power - are these first 6 Renastirians overpowered or not?

for Megashark you might want to put a max counter limit

Otherwise too much draw power is OPed

for Meh-Teh, given how it's relatively easy to get 4 or more monsters to the graveyard, I would have changed it to it can't be destroyed by card effects that designate it as a target

Overall however these are very well done

You going to do more?

9.2/10

Thank you for the comments - I agree about Meh-Teh and megashark and will probably change them. To answer your question, I am planning to do more, providing I can find appropriate pictures for them.

EDIT: Edited megashark and Meh-Teh's effects, added 2 more monsters (Archmage and Ancient Warlord)

Please comment everyone - I need feedback

I have added a new card - my first ever Exceed Monster. I will almost certainly edit this, for one thing I'm not even sure it should be an aqua rather than a fiend, and it hasn't got an serial number on it yet. However, here it is anyway. Please comment.

EDIT: Altered the render and added serial number, year, creator etc.

Archetype is pretty neat, although i dont if its just me, but i hate manga/anime drawings on cards. But exlcuding that point all of the cards stick to the theme, and well done! 9/10

Like the idea... but yeah... images are so... IceBarrier-esque nice though
Yeah, I'd have got better pictures for those if I could, but there weren't many appropriate ones that I could find that hadn't already been used in my Icicle set. If you know of any good places where I could get good ice spellcaster and warrior pictures that aren't anime-style, please tell me so I can improve my set.

The archetype is borderline great and probably meta worthy if I ever figured out how to work it. However I would say that the Storm Dragon's downside is horrible. Why would anyone summon it, if it could get bottomlessed and you would be royally screwed since that seems to be the theme of the deck. I would simply omit the last sentence in that card. The fact that he can't attack after he uses his effect is good by itself.
