The SWAT Kats are still patrolling their home at Megakat City, but they have expanded themselves into a much more broad range of terrain, sometimes going to other nearby cities such as Katopolis and Port Feline. Although Chance and Jake still have a long way to pay for the “accident” they had committed, they are still living in the Junkyard and training to become better pilots, and better heroes. With the help of a couple of new crew members and a few side heroes, things SHOULD seem smooth for the SWAT Kats and defending the city. But that is not the case. Old villains have learned new tricks, and new villains have begun to appear, making their job only that much harder, dangerous, and fun.

The main new villains for the SWAT Kats are an organization called "Trinity". They are a trio of powerful mutants that want to unleash the apocalypse across the world, enslaving the entire Kat race. These guys have incredible powers and are more than a fair match against the SWAT Kats. Their objectives are to unlock the "Paths of Destiny" (Yes, it's a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG/OCG referance) which are underground temples that hold vast power. Once they are activated, they emit a radiant colorful light onto the skies before the temple vanishes. When all the temples are activated, the stages of the apocalypse begin.
Episode 1 - Flight of Dark Kat

In an unknown location, three tall shadowy figures gathered. All three seemed to hold a unique aurora, a strange power that surrounded them. Although it was dark, it was apparent that they all were wearing some sort of cape or cloak.

“I see you two have received my message,” said the first of the figures. “So glad that you were able to join me today.”

The second figure, just as tall stepped forward. “Yes. I presume this has to do with the temples?”

“Correct.” The first figure answered as he pointed to the other two. “So, have each of you finished your designated objectives?”

The third large figure moved forward in an eerie manner, almost as if she was afloat. “I have. The Mayan Temple was an easy objective and has been activated.” The figure began to radiate a strong amount of heat from his body. “I must admit, I did not believe you at first, but after obtaining this power…”

“It was the same with me. Such power has only been told in legends,” said the second figure.

“Yes, and it is a power that is far from complete,” the first figure stated. “If we want to unlock our true potentials and rule not only this world but other planets, we must continue our objectives.” As he said this, the second figure began to radiate a bluish green aurora, and the first figure began to glow in the same manner, except it was white. “The days of Trinity will soon be in our hands. Dismissed!”

The three figures ceased glowing and each parted their own ways.

Meanwhile in Megakat City, the SWAT Kats were in pursuit of Dark Kat. Piloting their signature aircraft, the Turbokat, was none other than T-Bone, the famous pilot of the SWAT Kats and possibly the best pilot on Earth, second to none. His co-pilot, and weapons expert, Razor mans almost all the weapons in the Turbokat and with his sharp aim can take down most crafts with the push of a button. These two valiant vigilantes are right in the tail of Dark Kat whose on one of his new air crafts. The manta ray shaped aircraft was maneuvering so well that the SWAT Kats were having a hard time keeping up with it’s speed.

“Crud! Dark creep’s been busy with his ships lately, hasn’t he?” T-Bone kept the Turbokat at a decent speed, to keep Dark Kat on their sight.

Razor was checking several of the weapons systems. “Yeah, and I thought the new engines I’ve been working on would have made the Turbokat faster.”

“Not fast enough from the looks of it.” As T-Bone kept up with Dark Kat’s ship, Dark Kat laughed menacingly. His creeplings, monstrous little devils that resembled violet gargoyles, were controlling several of the firing controls of his ship.

“You SWAT Kats have no chance against my Manta Fighter!” The SWAT Kats felt the menacing stature of Dark Kat from his ship. “Now it’s time for you two to say good-bye, once and for all.” Several medium sized explosive missiles fired from the Manta Fighter locked onto the Turbokat.

“T-Bone! Watch out!”

“You don’t have to tell me twice.” T-Bone veered the jet, left and right, dodging the missiles with ease. However, the missiles switched direction and were still on their tracks. “Razor, we still have a big problem behind us!”

“Looks like those are homing missiles, T-Bone.” He began pressing a few switches on his control panel.

“Well, ya better shoot them down before they take us down.” T-Bone dodged a couple of more missiles that were fired from the Manta Fighter.

“Way ahead of you. Activating cement cannon.” From underneath the jet, a heavy chain gun appeared. Razor clicked a small switch on his helmet, activating the ocular targeting system. He turned the cannon in the direction of the missiles, and began firing cement rounds. Two were hit perfectly, staying in tact with only their thruster clogged. Both landed at Megakat Bay and stayed afloat. The rest of the missiles were completely destroyed.

Dark Kat slammed the side of his seat leaving a dent with his fist. “Blasted SWAT Kats! Creeplings! Fire the rear lasers!” Three small laser turrets appeared from behind the Manta Fighter. Each one was steered by an individual creepling and soon each began to firing at will. One of the beams managed to hit the left wing, puncturing a small precise hole, but the Turbokat stayed afloat.

Razor activated the targeting screen from his helmet, trying to get a lock on Dark Kat‘s fighter. “T-Bone, try and get in closer. I’m going to claw Dark Kat out of the sky.”

T-Bone pushed the Turbokat faster while trying to avoid most of the laser blasts. The ship was struck two more times on the same wing and the holes were starting to tamper with the Turbokat’s flight patterns.

“I don’t think I can get any closer without taking more shots! And I don’t think we want anymore holes on our wings.”

“It’s alright T, I can get a good shot from here.” Razor was examining the distance between the two aircrafts. Another hole was punctured on the same wing and T-Bone was starting to have trouble keeping the Turbokat steady.

“Come on, sure shot! Take the hit!”

Razor‘s targeting system locked on, and he pressed a small red button. “Turbo blades, deployed!” Six rounds of sharp metallic blades shot out from the front of the Turbokat. Three of the blades sliced the laser turrets, although the creeplings managed to evade being cut in half. The other three cut the wings and the rudder of the Manta Fighter, making it spin off control.

“Curse you SWAT Kats! I’ll be back!” It was just a few seconds after Dark Kat’s ship was dismantled that a missile shot out from underneath it, revealing Dark Kat inside it with a couple of his creeplings. The Manta Ray self destructed mid air, sending several pieces of debris at the two heroes. The Turbokat was scratched from several of the metallic pieces from Dark Kat’s plane, but the only serious damage done were the holes in their wings.

T-Bone and Razor celebrated their semi-victory. “Nice shooting ,sure shot! Too bad Dark Kat got away again.”

Razor glanced back at the bay. “Yeah, but he left us a couple of presents down there. Mind picking them up T-Bone?”

“With pleasure,” he said as he veered the Turbokat back towards the floating missile. He switched the Turbokat to hover mode and Razor was levered down with some ropes from the bottom of the Turbokat, reaching the missiles within seconds. When he was done clipping each in place, he gave T-Bone the thumbs up, and began to be reeled upward into the Turbokat’s supply hanger. Razor secured the missiles and then headed back to his seat while T-Bone steered the plane back to the junkyard. The Enforcers managed to find the Manta Fighter and Commander Feral glanced up in annoyance that the SWAT Kats had beaten him and his men to Dark Kat once more. An incoming message from Feral broadcasted on the Turbokat’s screen.

“You SWAT Kats are always making a mess of things!” The enraged voice was all the heroic duo needed to recognized who it was. “Next time, leave Dark Kat to the Enforcers!”

T-Bone was a bit annoyed. “Cool your tail, Feral. Dark Kat escaped in one of his…”

“ESCAPED?!” Feral interrupted. “You let a dangerous criminal escape?!”

“It wasn’t our fault Feral,” said Razor, trying to calm both his teammate and the commander. “Dark Kat gave us the slip with one of his escape missiles.”

Feral came into visual. He was riding an Enforcer Chopper, holding the radio control on his left hand. He was wearing his Commander Uniform, but something was odd about him that the SWAT Kats could notice, but not put their finger on. “I knew you vigilantes were no good. The Enforcers wouldn’t have let Dark Kat escape!”

T-Bone smirked. “Well, least you’ll have a chance to prove us wrong next time he shows up, eh Feral? So in a way, letting him go is a good thing for ya!”

Feral growled as T-Bone and Jake busted out laughing. “One day…one day I will get you two behind bars!”

T-Bone regained his composure first although Razor was having a bit of trouble calming down. “You’ve done that before. Course, we weren’t exactly in Megakat City when that happened.”

“What in the world are you two talking about?!”

Razor had finally regained his composure and cracked his fingers. “Sorry Feral, we don’t have time to share bedtime stories. Maybe next time.” T-Bone and Razor stormed off, leaving the commander in the dust.

***

Back at the junkyard, T-Bone and Razor had just landed on their hanger, and Razor was so anxious about taking a look at the missiles they salvaged that he almost tripped while getting off the Turbokat.

“Woah, Jake. Where’s the fire?” T-Bone was grinning, picturing Jake actually tripping and tumbling onto the wall just as he had seen Scaredy Cat do on his favorite T.V. show several times. He got out of the jet and began changing into his grease monkey uniform. With his hero suit in the locker and his red cap in place, T-Bone had turned into a regular civilian by the name Chance Furlong. Razor’s rush had slowed him down a bit, but he changed just as fast, putting his hero suit on his locker and getting his pale grey blue grease suit. Razor had turned just like Chance, a regular civilian by the name of Jake Clawson. He rushed into the Turbokat’s weapon hangar and carefully lowered the missiles they had caught.

“Sorry about that. It’s just that I was lucky enough to shoot not one, but two homing missiles without them blowing up. I can use the schematics on these missiles to make our missiles even better.”

“Sounds to me like you’re going to miss out on today’s five a clock news?”

“Yeah, this is a little more important than hearing Feral complain about us again.”

Chance laughed as he made his way to the ladder that lead to their home, remembering to place another stamp on the wall. “Well, that’s fifty-seven victories for the SWAT Kats. Don’t stay down here too long buddy.”

Jake was holding a medium sized tool box. He opened it up and placed once of the missiles in a small clearing within the hanger. “No promises, Chance. By the way, today’s Tuesday so Burke and Murray will be on their way for their annual “delivery“. Think you can handle them without blowing your tail?”

“Please! Give me a little more credit. I can handle Burke and Murray without so much as laying a finger on them.” Chance began climbing up the ladder and mumbled to himself, “Unless they tick me off more than usual today.”

“What was that, Chance?”

“Nothing, nothing.” As Chance made his way back to the junkyard, Jake began to take apart the missiles. Within a few moments he had almost completely dismantled both rockets and had begun examining the pieces. He found what looked like the homing device and began trying to see how the small contraption worked.

Meanwhile, Chance turned on their new salvaged T.V, and began watching Kat‘s Eye News at 5 o‘clock. Feral, as usual, was hogging the glory of the SWAT Kats while simultaneously trying to degrade their appearance. It hardly ever worked but he was persistent.

Ann Gora, the famous reporter was in the city where several pieces of the Manta Fighter had landed. They were being picked up and salvaged as she began her report.

“This is Ann Gora of Kats Eye News where we have just experienced another of Dark Kat’s plans foiled by our finest heroes, the SWAT Kats.” She turned her microphone toward the Commander. “Commander Feral, this has been the fifty-seventh time the SWAT Kats have bested you and your men and saved this city. What do you have to say on this?”

“I say the SWAT Kats are a menace to the city. Those vigilantes cost us millions in repairs, and even let Dark Kat escape once more! One day I’ll get those two behind bars.” He pointed at the camera as he said this.

Ann Gora continued the scoop, seeing that there were several remains of creeplings scattered through-out the scene. “On the issue of Dark Kat, what are you and your Enforcers going to do to apprehend the treacherous villain?”

Feral was quick on his feet and answered, “All we can do now is wait for the right moment to strike. The moment Dark Kat or any other villain shows his or her face in this city, the Enforcers will be there to stop them.”

Chance muted the T.V. “Yeah, yeah Feral. And if you can’t stop them, we will.” Just as he said this, a loud honk and the sound of moving metals indicated only one thing, Burke and Murray. The two low-lives had arrived on schedule, dumping another load of material in front of their garage. Burke, a tall slob of a cat wearing what looked like a Santa Claus hat except smaller was laughing his butt off while eating a greasy chilly dog. Murray, the jerk of all jerks in the city, except for the villains, was laughing even louder than Burke even though he barely reached Burke’s belt with the help of his hat. The little guy had gotten a little taller since the last time Chance saw him. Both of them had nasty cynical looks and they sounded just the same, talking with a full set of sarcastic sayings.

“Look-it! Look-it!” said Burke with his mouth full of chilly dog. “It’s so much cleaner now, huh Murray?”

“Yeah! This makes their stinking garage ten times better looking!” Burke and Murray laughed their butts off at the mess they had just made. Chance was furious, but he remembered what Jake told him earlier and made sure to keep his cool. He walked up to them and was handed his annual delivery sign up, this time with a pen. As soon as Chance finished signing it, he ripped the copy of his receipt personally from their clipboard before handing it back to them.

“There! Now get your tails out of my garage!” Chance yelled.

“Oooo, someone’s in a bad mood, hee hee.” Murray noticed Jake wasn’t in taunting sight. “ So where is that lame brain partner of your’s? Hmm?”

“Busy…” Chance was beginning to lose his composure. It was tough for him to not dish out a punch or two at the creeps for insulting his best bud, but he knew if he did that he would have to answer to Feral personally, something he couldn’t afford to do.

“Well, tell him we came to say hi. See ya, Chance!” The two dirty figures stormed off on their dump truck laughing just as the way the came in. Chance was so furious that he crushed the pen he was holding, its compartments scattering everywhere. He tossed it aside and began to move some of the junk out of the way.

“There goes the rest of my day…” Chance sucked it up and began moving the junk from the garage entrance. While he was picking up some of the junk, another guest appeared. It was none other than the Deputy Mayor, Calico “Callie” Briggs.

“Well, maybe not…” As soon as he saw her step out of her green car, Chance put on a Macho appearance and made his way to her. He deepened his voice, and lowered his eyes to make himself look like the coolest cat in town. “Hey, Callie. What brings you here?” he said in a deep manly voice.

“Hey Chance,” she greeted him. Her pink office suit and long radiant blond hair were strangely complimented by her glasses. “Another tune up. My engine’s been stalling.”

Chance was paying more attention to Callie than her car. “REally? Since when?”

“This morning. A couple of thugs tried to steal my engine. The Enforcers arrived to stop them, but I’m afraid my car was damaged from the experience. You think you guys can fix it up for me?”

“Sure! We’d love to help you out.” Chance grasped her hands almost trying to lead her inside to their junkyard home. “In the meantime, care for a glass of milk or something?”

Callie released her hands, smiling at Chance‘s failed attempt at conquering her. “No, but I would like to talk Jake about some private matters.”

Chance’s jaw dropped half way before he caught it. He was just about to ask why she wanted to see Jake, before the kat himself walked up to join them. “Chance…oh! Ms. Briggs! What brings you here?”

Chance was bit annoyed and let it show in his answer. “Car tune up…buddy.” He was grinding his teeth through the words. He left Jake the two and began to move some of the junk away to clear an entrance to their garage. It almost seemed as if smoke was blowing out of Chance’s ears and the way he picked up and thrashed the junk around made it more apparent that he was annoyed.

Callie glanced at Chance and nodded her head sideways before turning to Jake, “Yeah. Oh, and I have this for you Jake. You think you can fix it?” She handed him the small white triangular device with a speaker and a red button that she used to keep in contact with the SWAT Kats. It had several cracks in it. Jake immediately realized what it was, but he couldn’t let her figure out that they were the SWAT Kats.

“Hmm, what’s this, Callie?”

“It’s a communicator. It allows me to keep in contact with the SWAT Kats whenever we need them. But it was broken today and I couldn’t get the chance to see the SWAT Kats to ask them for a new one.”

“So you came to us in hopes that we could fix it.” He said, pretending to be amazed that it was a SWAT Kat communicator.

“Well, I’ve never seen Chance work with small gizmos before. Still, do you think you could fix it?”

Jake examined the broken gadget with false promise, even though he knew he could fix it within the hour. “Hmm, I don’t know if I can actually do it, but I’ll give it my best shot, Ms. Briggs.”

Callie clasped her hands in joy. “Oh, thank you Jake.” She gave him a small kiss on the left cheek. “Just don’t tell anyone. It could be dangerous if anyone else found out what this actually was.” With that, she walked out of the junkyard. The Mayor’s White Limousine stopped briefly, picking her up and then driving back onto the city. As Jake sighed at Callie’s departure, Chance smacked him in the head while carrying more junk out of the way.

“Hey!” Jake exclaimed while rubbing his mild bruise. “What was that for?!”

“Well don’t just stand there!” He pointed at the huge pile of junk that Burke and Murray had dropped off. “Help me clear the way so we can fix Callie’s ride!”

Jake continued rubbing his head. “Oh! Hee hee, right.”

***

Callie was riding next to Mayor Manx, a small gold-fur cat wearing a green business suit and reading glasses. His age was apparent both in his white beard and in his voice, and the grey wig he wore refused to help him hide his wearing years.

“Ms. Briggs! Is this the right tie for me?” He said while glancing at a mirror that had been placed in front of him. The red tie fidgeted one way or another, refusing to stay in place. With a swift yank, the Mayor managed to tie it tight enough to restrict himself from breathing. Callie, calmed him down and loosened the tie for him, making sure that it stayed in place.

“It’s perfect Mayor Manx. I’m sure you’ll do fine today’s amusement park opening speech.” she assured him.

“Well, if you say so Ms. Briggs.”

The white limousine reached Magakat Park in Megakat City where a crowd of people had taken their seat in front of a new amusement park, sealed only by a large red ribbon. Mayor Manx and Ms. Briggs exited the building with high statures and made their way to the stands. The Mayor took his place in the podium, clearing his throat before beginning his speech.

“Citizens of Megakat cit-ay! I, Mayor Manx, would now like to declare our new amusement park open to the public.”

Mayor Manx was handed a large pair of scissors which he used to cut the red ribbon. The paparazzi soon crowded Mayor Manx and began to interview him. At the same time, Callie saw something across the corner of her eyes. It seemed to be a creepling sitting at the very top of the Ferris Wheel, but she was not exactly sure. After rubbing her eyes, the figure was gone.

“I need to get me a new pair of glasses.” she said as she joined the crowd of people that were entering the amusement park.

Much to her guess, the creature was indeed a creepling, and there were several hiding amongst the amusement park. Dark Kat was hiding on one of the large tents, preparing his revenge on the SWAT Kats and how to take over the city. Two of his creeplings dug themselves from the floor, bowing down to their master.

“Everything is going according to plan.” He said evilly. “Soon, the Mayor and many of his beloved citizens will fall under my trap. I‘ll keep them hostage while I take down Megakat Twin Towers!” He turned to his new Manta Fighter ship. It was larger than before and seemed to be even more dense than usual. “With those Towers gone, Megakat City will have the greatest financial crisis of its time! And then it will only be a matter of time before the city succumbs to my power. Let’s see the SWAT Kats stop me this time.” He laughed menacingly as he said this and boarded his ship. He had not realized that he was being spied on by Lieutenant Felina Feral, one of the best Enforcers and the niece of Commander Feral. She happened to be nearby the tent and after hearing some odd voices from it had decided to investigate, finding out about Dark Kat and his plans to destroy the towers.

She picked up he radio and whispered, “We need more Enforcers here at the amusement park.” That was all she had time for as Dark Kat began to fly his ship. She got on her motorcycle and rode in pursuit of Dark Kat from a distance.

Many of the civilians had entered several of the rides, unsuspecting of the evils of Dark Kat’s plan. Callie was just on her way to enter a ride when she noticed a creepling once more. This time she managed to see it completely even though it did not see her.

“Oh no.” she whispered. “I’ve got to call the SWAT-” she reached for her green purse to try and to find the communicator, remembering that she had left it with Jake at the junkyard. “This isn’t good. I’ve got to go back to the junkyard.” Callie dashed as quickly as she could out of the park and headed towards the Mayor’s limousine. “It’s a good thing I made a copy.” She started the car and made her way to the junkyard.

Back at their place, Chance and Jake had cleared the way to their garage and were finishing fixing Callie’s engine.

“So what was it that Callie wanted to talk to you about anyway?” Chance said as tightened the bolts on the engine. When he was done, he made his way to the driver’s seat and started the car.

“Well, she wanted me to fix the communicator we gave her.” Jake made a few adjustments to the engine and then closed the hood.

“That can’t be it. I saw her giving you a little “present” before she left.” The car was running smoothly. As Chance exited the vehicle he ran back inside to their living room and turned on the T.V. His favorite show, Scaredy Cat, was about to start. “I bet she wanted to get some alone time with you, didn’t she?”

Jake walked into the living room. “I’m telling you, Chance. All she wanted me to do was fix the communicator. As for that kiss, I’m not so sure where that came from.” He made his way to the refrigerator and grabbed a couple of milk cans, tossing one to Chance.

Chance caught the drink and propped it open with one of his claws, drinking half of it in one gulp. “Sure Jake. I don’t mind you and Callie getting together, but at least tell me that you two are going out or something.”

“Chance! Callie and I are not “going out”! I bet she was just grateful that I decided to try and fix the communicator. Speaking of which-” Jake reached for the small white triangle shaped object in the couch. Chance was about to grab it, mistaking it for the T.V. control but Jake beat him to it, tossing him the real T.V. remove while he was at it.

“Gonna go see Callie?” Chance said while starring at the T.V. His focused switched entirely to the show when he realized it was a new episode, laughing hard as Scaredy Cat was handed a bomb from a rich and sexy looking cat from the top of a building. “Oh man! Now this is entertainment!” He took a sip from his milk while Jake nodded his head back and forth. Just that moment, he saw Callie running to their home.

“Looks like I don’t have to go see her.” Jake made his way to the door, opening it. Chance spat his milk out as soon as he saw her walk in, caught off guard by her presence.

“Jake! It-it’s an emergency!” she said trying to catch her breath.

“Woah, Callie, are you alright?” asked Jake trying to calm her down.

“No time for comfort. Did you fix the communicator?” she asked abruptly. She looked distraught as if something terrible had just occurred.

Jake handed her the communicator. The moment she spot it, she snatched it from his hands and began running back to the Mayor’s car.

“Callie! What’s wrong?” Jake asked as he prepared to chase her down.

“Mayor Manx! He could be in trouble!” she yelled out as she got in the limousine before departing back to the city.

“Chance-”

“Way ahead of ya!” Both of them made their way to the hanger, sliding down the stairs and preparing themselves for take off. Both of them had finished suiting up as their alarm sounded off.

“That’s Callie!” said Jake, but Chance had beat him to the phone.

“Mr. Briggs, is everything alright?” said T-Bone.

“We have an issue. I saw some of Dark Kat’s creeplings around the new amusement park. Mayor Manx is there so it could be trou-” her voice cut off as she saw Dark Kat’s new Manta Ship flying over the city. “Scratch that, it is Dark Kat. It looks like he’s on the same ship he was last time.“

“That manta looking ship? We thought that thing was destroyed!”

“Well, it looks like he just got his hands on another one. You guys better get here fast before he starts terrorizing the city!”

“Don’t worry Ms. Briggs, we’re on our way.” T-Bone hung up the phone and turned to his partner, Razor, who was loading a few missiles onto the Turbokat. “Looks like Dark Kat’s back!”

“So soon?” Razor asked as he finished loading the missiles. “Where is he this time?”

“Callie said she saw a few creeplings around the new amusements park where the Mayor is. And that’s not all, it looks like he’s back on that Manta Fighter of his.” T-Bone and Jake entered the Turbokat’s cockpit, taking their seats and preparing for take off.

“He’s on his Manta Fighter? But we saw it blow up into a million pieces!” Jake activated several of the weapons systems.

“Speaking of the Manta Fighter, did you patch up the holes on the wings?”

“Yeah. I took the liberty while you held down Burke and Murray. And I installed a few new tricks while I was at it.” The Turbokat dashed off once more from the hangar, riding down the ramp and out from a secret opening within the junkyard. T-Bone accelerated the Turbokat, booming the jet to the city once more.

Callie was on her car tailing down Dark Kat from the ground when she was joined by the Enforcers. Commander Feral and several of his officers were riding on five choppers while the rest were on standard police cars.

“Ms. Briggs, stand down. The Enforcers will take care of Dark Kat.” He propped himself for battle while Ms. Briggs slowed down to a stop nearby a few buildings. “Dark Kat, you are under arrest! Come with your hands quietly or we will be forced to engage!”

Dark Kat laughed at Commander Feral’s statement like it was a lame joke. “So! You miserable excuses for officers want to engage me? Creeplings! Fire the laser cannons!” Five laser turrets mounted from the rear of the ship, each mounted by two creeplings. They began firing against the Enforcer’s choppers and vehicles and soon the Enforcers were taken down. Feral’s chopper crashed onto a building, but he and his pilot survived. He grasped his radio.

“Bring me…chopper back-up…” He dragged his pilot out of the chopper before it lost balance and fell from the building. His niece, Felina, entered the scene with a motorcycle and blaster on her left arm. She was right on Dark Kat’s tail and opened fire, taking down two of the laser turrets.

“Uncle! Are you alright?!” she through her radio as she tried to stay on Dark Kat’s trail. She fired more rounds, but Dark Kat’s Manta Fighter avoided the hits.

“Felina! Do NOT engage Dark Kat alone! Urgh…Wait until reinforcements arrive!”

“No can do commander! We have to take down Dark Kat as fast as we can!” The Manta Fighter made a sharp right turn across a few buildings, and Felina followed pursuit. “There’s two issues we have to worry about!”

“Issues?” questioned Feral. “What kind of issues?”

“The amusement park! There are creeplings all over it, terrorizing the citizens!”

“What?! Urgh…” Feral kneeled due to an injury in his stomach. “We have to get there now!”

“I know. I sent some Enforcers to help them out, but it seems there’s too many for them to handle alone.”

“Then why don’t you back them up?!” yelled the commander.

“Because I need to keep in pursuit of Dark Kat! I know he’s heading for the Megakat Twin Towers!” Felina fired a few more rounds again, with no luck. The creeplings finally locked on her motorcycle and began firing. Although Felina managed to dodge the first few rounds, her ride was eventually struck down. She managed to react just in time, jumping out of her ride and launching her gun’s grappling hook on one of the buildings. The grappling hook clung onto one of the gargoyles in the building, taking Felina with it and keeping her from an explosive end. She radioed her uncle.

“He’s going to try an take the towers down!”

“He’s what?!” said T-Bone. Felina turned around to see the famous SWAT Kats riding the Turbokat.

“SWAT Kats! You have to stop Dark Kat from taking down Megakat Twin Towers and save the people in the amusement park!”

“Looks like we’re going to have to split on this one T-Bone. Switching to Cyclotron!” Jake disappeared from the cockpit and from underneath the Turbokat, a large red missile was launched. It transformed mid air into a two passenger motorcycle and Felina jumped on board. “Felina and I will take care of those goons at the amusement park. Chance, it’s up to you to keep Dark Kat from taking down those towers.”

“There’s just one problem, Razor. You’re the sure shot, not me!”

“Relax T-Bone. I found out how those homing missiles worked and upgraded most of our weapons with the tech. Even you should have no problem taking down Dark Kat down.”

T-Bone sped up the Turbokat, catching up to Dark Kat’s new Manta Fighter. “Alright, in that case let’s kick some tail!”

“Good luck T.” Razor shut off the messaging system and focused on getting to the amusement park. “So, Felina. If Dark Kat is trying to take down the city through a money crisis, why did he bother taking the amusement park as a big hostage?”

“I don’t know. But it could have something to do with Mayor Manx.” The cyclotron sped up even more and within moments, they had reached Megakat Park. Razor slowed the Cyclotron to a stop before exiting the vehicle with Felina. Both of them made their way into the amusement park’s entrance and saw that chaos was already unveiling everywhere. The creeplings had been terrorizing the citizens in the amusement park and were capturing several of the city’s officials, including Mayor Manx. Razor tried to enter the park but was bounced back by a force field.

“Oww. Leave it to Dark Kat to try and keep us out.” He thought quickly and then ran towards the Cyclotron. He activated the missiles compartment. “Felina, I’m gonna try a scrambler missile! Get out of the way!” Felina dived away from the entrance as Razor fired the scrambler missile. It hit the force field head on and released a huge amount of electrical energy. As the energy dissipated, so did the force field, and Felina noticed that there was an explosion within the park. As she got up, some of the people that had managed to evade the Creepling’s terrorism began to escape the park. Razor and Felina rushed into the amusement park, engaging against every Creepling that came their way, but their numbers were staggering.

“There’s too many to hold off!” Felina said as she fired off more rounds at the pink-colored fiends.

“We can’t face them all, so we’ll just have to get the people out of here!” He fired a couple of octopus missiles from his Glovatrix, taking care of several Creeplings simultaneously. “Felina, cut their ropes!” Razor said as he pointed to the trapped civilians and city personnel. Amongst them was Mayor Manx, distraught as ever.

“Get me out! GET ME OUT OF HERE!!” Manx’s cries for help were answered by Felina, who wasted no time in cutting the ropes. Razor fired more missiles at the creeplings, from Tar Missiles to Spider Missiles to any arsenal that he had at his disposal. However, there were too many for him take down on his own and soon, the Creeplings began to engage in hand to hand combat against Razor. While he held them off as best as he could, Felina had finished releasing the people from their ropes and all of them began to exit the park Razor was pinned down on the floor by six creeplings, and although he kicked a and punched several of them, their numbers kept climbing. Felina came to the rescue, firing her grappling hook at Razor and pulling him away from the mob. One of the creeplings had clung onto Razor’s left leg, but with a kick in the face, released Razor.

“Thanks, Felina. Now lets get out of here!” Both of them ran back to the Cyclotron and took their seats. The army of Creeplings followed pursuit but were met with a Nitrogen Missile from the Cyclotron. The missile exploded in the ground, releasing a large cloud of nitrogen as soon as it made impact, freezing all the creeplings within a ten yard radius. Even though some of the creeplings weren’t frozen, the blast had cooled them down severely allowing Felina and Razor to escape. “Now let’s catch up to T-Bone.”

***

In the skies, T-Bone had finally caught up to Dark Kat and had begun to engage his ship. He fired a couple of Buzz-Saw Missiles at Dark Kat’s laser turrets. As they made their way to the turrets, their casing broke away to reveal metal cutting buzz-saws, one of which managed to cut through one of the laser turrets. The other missile was shot down and the laser returned fire. T-Bone turned the ship back and forth, dodging the blasts.

“You are not gonna shoot holes on my ship!” He released three Baby Boomer Missiles at the turrets. Although the lasers managed to shoot one down, the other two maneuvered themselves away from the blasts before destroying the last of the lasers.

Dark Kat was furious. “You blasted SWAT Kats! Creeplings! Fire the guided missiles!” Twelve guided missiles were released from the Manta Fighter and locked onto the Turbokat.

“So! That’s how you’re gonna play, eh Dark Kat? Well I can play that game too!” T-Bone fired six Blowtorch Missiles and six Matchhead Missiles, all locking onto each missile Dark Kat had released. The missiles crashed into each other, coating the sky with large red explosions.

Dark Kat laughed menacingly at the fiery explosion. “Goodbye SWAT Kats! And goodbye Megakat City!”

“Not so fast, Dark Kat!”

“What?!” Dark Kat turned and saw that the Turbokat was still in flight.

“You are going down!” T-Bone released a couple of Piranha Missiles that locked onto the Manta’s wings. Their casings broke and revealed a metallic set of teeth and the bit their way through the wings. The Manta Fighter began to lose control.

“NO! You meddlesome SWAT Kats! I will get rid of you one day!” Dark Kat repeated the same escape procedure as he did last time, but Razor had caught up this time and shot a Spider Missile from the Cyclotron. The missile’s casing broke away and released and entangling net that trapped Dark Kat and his creeplings in their escape missile.

“Bulls eye!” Razor exclaimed. He came to a stop, and Felina stepped out of the motorcycle. The Turbokat lowered itself down and picked up the Cyclotron along with Razor as they dashed back onto the skies. A police car then entered the scene, coming to a stop where Dark Kat laid trapped inside his own missile wrapped around a net. Commander Feral stepped out of the vehicle.

“Dark Kat! You are under arrest! Men! Take him down!” His back-up officers complied with his order surrounding Dark Kat and proceeding to capture him.

T-Bone and Razor glanced back at their capture. Both of them celebrated their fifty-eighth victory as they headed back home.

On top of one of the Megakat Mountains, the three mysterious figures gathered once more. Each of them, still surrounded by shadows glanced at Megakat City.

“Tomorrow, we begin our plan.” said the first figure.

“Why must we wait until then?” asked the second. “It would be more convenient if we start the plan now.”

“The sun is not aligned correctly yet.” said the first figure. He was holding a small gold locket with an emblem with an eight pointed star, the Greek symbol for Chaos. “Tomorrow, the sun will be in perfect alignment, and the fourth temple shall be revealed.”

“And we shall be one step closer to achieving our full power.” said the third figure. Her voice was filled with a flirtatious greed for power. “This city won’t know what will hit it when we’re done with it.”

“Yes,” the first figure stepped forward. The light from the sun revealed his left eye. His pupil was the color gold and there was a lightning shaped scar running down the top of his eye, continuing down to the center of his cheek. There was a small blue upside-down triangle underneath his eye. “Our time is coming, and this world will belong to the gods once more.”

As he finished his saying the three figures disappeared from sight, not even leaving their footprints in the snow of the mountain.

Episode 2 - The Ones Known as “Trinity“! - Part 1

It was late at night at the junkyard and the guys were staring each other down in their work clothes. The tension was high as their competitive eyes met. Jake licked his lips moist, Chance wiped the sweat off his forehead, and within a brief moment, Jake stuck the ping-pong ball across the game table. Chance reacted quickly, switching the paddle from his right hand to his left, countering Jake’s strike. But Jake wasn’t going to go down so easy and took a step back, countering Chance’s counter swiftly. Chance checked the ball with the paddle in his left hand before switching to his right, anticipating his opponent’s next move. Jake pounded the ball back at Chance once more with his might, looking for an opening he could take advantage of. It was no use. Chance was a fierce competitor and kept his vigilance in the game up and running, countering Jake’s ball with brisk force. Even so, Jake still had a fighting spirit and countered the blow once more, keeping a more vigilant eye on the ball as Chance was striking at it harder. The two exchanged blow after blow, move after move, waiting for the other to either let down his guard or find a good opportunity to deliver the final blow. Jake struck the ball fiercely, almost losing his grip on his paddle. Chance noticed the opening and went all out for a final blow! As he struck the ball with all his might, Jake swiftly took a perfect position to counter Chance’s final attack and struck the ball back at Chance with such a force that Chance ducked the projectile by a hair. The ping pong ball flew into the wall, bouncing off it and rolled to a stop near Chance’s feet.

“Hey! Watch it!” yelled Chance while picking up the ball. He checked to see if his red cap was still on his head or if it had been knocked off by the ball. “Almost hit my hat.”

Jake let out a brief chuckle. “Sorry, Chance. But a deal’s a deal.” Jake tossed his paddle in the air doing a small victory dance before catching it back and pointing it at Chance. “Looks like you’re cleaning our workstation today!”

Chance’s neck hairs stood up. “No way! Best two out of three!” he said as he got his paddle ready for the second round.

Jake crouched down, accepting Chance’s challenge. “You’re on!”

Chance crouched down, preparing to begin their fierce game once more. Chance released the ball and, just as quickly, struck it towards Jake. His companion countered the blow and the two began to exchange strikes once more knowing well what was at stake. After a few moments, Jake though he saw an opening an went full out. He struck the ball. There was a loud clank as it hit the table, bouncing towards Chance. As Jake grinned at his full fledged attack towards Chance’s right hand where his paddle was, a thought came to his mind.

There’s no way Chance can strike the ball when it’s going directly to his paddle!

Chance smirked, turn around while switching the paddle in his hands, and struck the ball with the paddle in his left hand backwards. The ball bounced off the table and this time, Jake was the one who ducked to avoid the loose projectile. The ball landed on the couch and stayed there.

“Hey! You almost tore my head off!” yelled Jake as he went towards the couch.

Chance was doing his victory dance and then in a sing song voice he said, “Sorry Jake!” He cracked his neck and prepared for the final round. As Jake made his way back to the ping pong table, Chance remembered that they had finished their storage of milk. “Hey, let’s make this more interesting. Loser doesn’t just have to clean the workstation,” he pointed towards the fridge, “he also has to buy this and next week’s milk.”

Jake rubbed his chin at Chance’s offer, but it didn’t take him too long to agree to his terms. “Alright. It’s your funeral, Chance!”

“As if!” Chance shuffled the paddle with his hands with excitement. “Bring it on!”

“Oh, I-” Jake cut off his sentence midway, releasing the ball before striking it. “Will!” As soon as he said that, the ball flung towards the table and the last round began. Both of them countered each other’s strikes even more fiercely than before. The third game had become a war zone and neither of the two soldiers was backing down from the fight. Jake countered Chance’s blows with equal force, making the match almost resemble a professional game of ping pong. The ball flew back and forth, leaving a few skid marks on the table from the force the two guys were smacking the ball with. After a few short minutes, Jake and Chance were both sweaty from the game and both of them realized the end was near. With that in mind, Chance decided to go for it and unleash a final blow once more. He struck the ping pong ball across the table at Jake and it almost seemed as if he was going to win. But Jake didn’t back down this time. Instead, he veered his head sideways, jumped back and struck the ball once more. The ball flew even faster than before and just as Jake landed on the floor, the ball missed Chance by a hair once more. Chance checked if his left ear was still in place, and after making sure that it was, made his way towards Jake.

“Nice shot.” Chance said as he offered a hand to his competitor, pulling him to his feet.

Jake dusted himself off. “Thanks.” He handed Chance the bucket and scrubbers that were near the couch. “As for our bet…”

“Hey, hey. I know! But first” Chance place the bucket and scrubbers near the couch again and pulled out a pair of keys from his pocket, “I’ma get the milk. I’ll clean the station tomorrow.”

“Chance! Did you forget that tomorrow is Mrs. Briggs’ Birthday?!”

“How could I forget?”

Jake crossed his arms. “So you’re gonna show up oily and greasy to her party?”

“What?! No! I’ll wake up really early, clean the stations, and we’ll still have plenty of time to get to her party.”

“And get her birthday present?”

“I-“ Chance stopped at the door. “Wait, we don’t have a present for Callie?!”

Jake had begun picking up the ping pong set and was painting the skid marks green with a spray paint can trying to make the ping pong table look good and new. “Chance, we’re getting our paycheck tomorrow. Most of it is already going to Feral, but it’s still a good idea to drop by with a present or something.” While he said this, he noticed the bolts on the ping pong table were loose. Jake searched for a small wrench and began to tighten them. “No way is this baby going fall apart on me.”

Chance sighed at what he just heard. “By the way Jake, where did you find all this junk?” Chance pointed at the plasma screen T.V., the ping pong table, and the small solar generator that he had installed on the top of their garage home.

“Oh! Well the T.V. and ping pong table I found when we came back after defeating Dark Kat. Both were in good shape and all I needed to do was tune them up a bit. T.V. doesn’t work yet, but I’ll get to it tomorrow if I can. I found the generator when Burke and Murray came to dump a second helping of junk. It was in good shape also and it was easy to fix, so I did.”

“Jake, you scare me sometimes.” Chance said with a sarcastic tone. “Alright, well I’ll think of something to get for Callie‘s birthday. In the meantime, why don’t you fix the T.V. or something?”

“Just as long as you get back here and clean the workstation.”

“Oh don’t worry, I’ll be back.” Chance closed the door behind him and started the tow truck. The engine fired up and he was off to the city.

***

The moon was full and Chance was listening to the radio. He bought the six pack of milk and was making his way back to the junkyard when he spotted something odd in a nearby alley. He parked the tow truck on the side of the street and adjusted his red cap before exiting. There was an eerie darkness around him, but he didn’t mind it much. When he reached the beginning of the alley, he noticed the same glowing object that had caught his attention.

“What is that?” he mumbled as he approached the object. The closer he approached it, the more brighter and detailed the object became. It was a small gold locket with an emblem on it, an eight pointed star. Chance was bewildered and intrigued by the object and began to play with it a little. As he did this, he found himself opening the locket, revealing a very clean mirror. “Wow. Well aren’t you a good looker. Hmm, I bet Callie would love this locket! And won’t Jake flip out when I tell him I found it lying around.” Chance could picture it now.

“Oh, Chance! Its beautiful!” he pictured Callie saying as she gave him a huge kiss. He could also see his buddy’s mouth dropping as Chance and Callie rode on the Cyclotron into the sunset.

Chance snapped back to reality and placed the locket on his pocket. “You are going to be my ticket to Callie’s heart. I’ll give you a nice clean up, and then we’ll wrap you up as a present.” Chance entered the tow truck, starting it and continued his journey back to the junkyard.

Unknownst to Chance, three tall and mysterious figures, each with an individual glow of bluish green, silvery white and dark red were atop the building he was just in. All three figures had capes that matched their glows, and each stood looking towards city hall. If there was a regular civilian atop the building, they would have not even noticed that the three figures were floating about half an inch off the building’s roof.

“What a pitiful excuse for a city.” The red figure glanced away from the building in disgust. The moon was just behind her, making her stature resemble that of very still vampire. “Wonder why the Temple of Dreams would be in this kind of place to begin with.”

The bluish figure turned towards her. “It isn’t our job to question the power.” He grasped his fist tightly across his chest. “Only to obtain it is our duty.”

“Even so, it could have at least chosen a better place to appear. I mean-”

“There is always a reason for the Temple’s decision.” said the white figure, cutting off his companion’s sentence. “There must be a reason the Temple of Dreams chose this place to appear.”

“Just how it was with the Temples of Burden, Fear, and Solitude. They chose their locations to reflect their names.” The bluish figure turned to face city hall once more. “Perhaps this city is full of many dreams.”

The red figure couldn’t resist the urge of laughing. “Regardless of those dreams, we shall obtain the power to rule this world and the worlds beyond! Their pitiful dreams can’t save them from our destinies.” Even though her face was hidden by the hood of her cape, it was easy to tell that she was scolding the civilians of the city. “Such pitiful creatures they are…”

“I’d be careful with your tongue, Hades.” said the white figure. “Our existence has relied on these ‘pitiful creatures’. If it were not for them, we would have never been born, and we would not have been here to plot our way to conquer the worlds as our ancestors did before.”

“What are you talking about?! Our ancestors didn’t even wish to conquer the world with their power! And now, we are the only linage that is left of them.” The red figure, Hades continued scolding the civilians of the city, even though she knew they were unaware of it. “No matter. We will soon fix that mistake of theirs. So, when will we begin our next objective?”

“Right now.” The white figure reached for the side of his belt, grasping nothing. Alarmed, he saw that the locket was gone. He paused for a moment before he spoke. “It seems our plans will have to wait some more.”

“What?” The bluish figure was alarmed as well. “But you secured the locket, and we check as well!”

“That locket is influenced by the Temple it is nearest too. Remember what happened when we went to the other Temples?”

“Yes.” Hades spoke before resorting to her memories. “When I held the locket near the Temple of Fear, I found that the locket would vanish and hide amongst the trees. It was almost as if it took living characteristics, almost as if it were a child.”

“The same was in the Temple of Burden.” The bluish figure spoke. “As I approached the temple, it steadily became heavier for me both physically and mentally. The locket had taken the meaning of becoming a burden, as a discouragement for me not to activate the tower.”

“And it is the same this time as it was for me last time.” The white figure then shared his experience. “In the Temple of Solitude, I had to put aside everything and everyone I loved, everyone in my heart. This was about a year before I found you two. I experienced the side effects of isolation. Illusion and distortion were two things I experienced to a great extent, and those two were very close to killing me.”

“How?” asked Hades, intrigued by what the white figured had said.

The white figured glanced at his two companions. “The locket. It made these illusions become a reality.” There was an frightening tone in the way he said his words that seemed to startle his two companions. “The locket’s power, as I’ve said before, takes the characteristics of the Temple it is nearest. For all of us, the locket gave us the challenges of obtaining power. Solitude, Fear, Burden, Dreams, Conscience, Illusion, Reality, Life and Destruction. Those are the properties of our powers. Although there are several other Temples such as the Temples of Balance, Purity, Love etc., the lines to those temples have been severed. There are no heirs whom can be granted the power of those temples as they perished with the ebb and flow of time.” The white figure walked towards the edge of the building and extended his arms as if he was trying to carry the city. “But it does not matter. We will be granted tremendous power, and the stronger we get, the weaker the locket’s influence will be over us.” He turned to face them once more. “We have until sunset. We must find the locket. Once we do that, all of us know what to do.”

The three figures split, and began their search for the locket.

***

Chance had finally returned to the junkyard, and saw that Jake was still awake watching T.V.

“Looks like Jake fixed it.” He turned off the tow truck and made his way into their office. “You still up?” asked Chance as he made his way to the refrigerator. He took two of the six cans of milk and placed them in the freezer. The rest he placed in the refrigerator.

“Yeah. Can’t sleep.” Jake flipped through the channels to see if there was anything on. “What’s the point of a good T.V. if nothing’s on?”

“There’s never anything good at night bud. I should know!” Chance grinned as he pulled the gold locket from his pocket.

Jake noticed the bright object. “What you got there, Chance?” He turned off the T.V. and approached Chance.

“Callie’s gift. Here! Take a look!” He tossed the locket to Jake.

Jake was startled by the gold object. He knew both of them didn’t have enough money for jewelry even if they tried buying it together. “Chance, you better not have resorted to a life of crime.”

Chance laughed. “No way! Besides, I didn’t steal it.” Jake had finally opened the locket and saw that it had a very bright and clear mirror inside. “I found it on my way back near an alley.”

Jake closed the locket. “Wait, you found it?”

“Yeah.” Chance jumped over the couch before tossing his back on it, turning the T.V. on once more. “There wasn’t anyone around so I figured I could keep it. And it’s in pretty good shape too.”

Jake studied the locket closely and noticed the eight star symbol on it. He frowned at the design and tossed it back at Chance. “I don’t know, Chance. Something about that locket seems, odd.”

“There’s nothing odd about the locket!” Chance glanced at the locket briefly. “It just has an interesting design, is all.”

Jake crossed his arms and nodded his head in disagreement. “I’m not sure giving Callie that locket as a gift is a good idea.”

“I’m telling you! Girls like gold, silver, and diamonds! She’ll love the locket!”

“Oh, so Ms. Briggs is just another ‘girl’, eh, Chance?”

Chance bit his lip. “Well, not, you know., she’s just…uhhh-”

Jake had trapped his companion, and he knew it. He sighed and tossed Chance a bucket full of cleaning utensils. “Anyway, are you forgetting about our workstation?”

Chance caught the bucket and stood from the couch. “Aww, Jake!” He thought quickly for an excuse to not clean the workstation, and devised one as he saw the locket. “At least I got Callie a present!”

Jake thought about the situation. It was true that neither of them had originally gotten a present for Callie, and yet here was Chance who had found a gold locket and was planning on giving it to Callie as her gift. Although he didn’t like the way the locket looked or the way it made him feel uneasy, a gift was still a gift. He sighed to a conclusion. “A deal is a deal, and you know that! But, I guess I can help you out since you did get Callie a present at the last minute.”

Chance patted Jake on the back. “Well then, let’s get to work!” He handed Jake a scrubber and a bottle of cleaning solution as they headed off towards the workstation.

***

Daybreak. The sun was up and Chance and Jake were out cold in the workstation. Chance was sleeping under Callie’s car. He was snoring with the scrubber on his right hand and the cleaning solution on his left. His partner was snoring on the driver’s seat of Callie’s green Sedan with his head rested on the wheel. Jake’s head began to slip from it’s resting zone and slammed into the car’s horn. The honk woke Chance up so quickly that he hit his head on the bottom of the Sedan. Jake woke up to the honk as well.

“Argh! What the…JAKE!” Chance rolled from beneath the Sedan and sat up. “What was that for?!” He rubbed his head. He was wearing his red cap, but there was now a large grease stain where his forehead was.

Jake exited the vehicle rubbing his eyes. “Sorry, Chance! Head slipped.” When he was done rubbing his eyes, he saw that most of the workstation was clean. “Well, least we did it. Station’s clean.” He noticed a very awful odor coming from somewhere. Soon Jake noticed that it was him and flinched when he smelled his arm pit. “Looks like this cat needs a bath.”

“Just make sure to hurry it up! I’ll finish cleaning the station.” Chance noticed that Jake’s odor had penetrated the inside of Callie’s Sedan. “And I’ll make sure to wipe that stench you left in Callie’s seat.”

Jake chuckled as he made his way towards the bath. “Yeah. I don’t think she’ll appreciate it if we bring her the car smelling like us.”

“You got that right. Phew! Wow, Jake. You really pack a stench!” Chance tried blowing some of the smell away from his nose with his hand and looked for a can of deodorant spray while Jake took a bath. When he was done bathing, Chance had finished deodorizing the Sedan and headed for the showers. Jake was wearing a peach colored collar short sleeve shirt with a pair of dark brown jeans. His white under shirt was only notable from the front where he had left the two buttons of his collar shirt unbuttoned. “Jake, pass me the locket. I’ma go give it a wash just in case.”

“Just in case of…?”

“Well, I did find it in an alley after all.” Chance headed towards the bath.

Jake tossed the locket towards Chance and with a sigh, decided to fire up Callie’s Sedan and test the engine once more. He gave it a few modifications and when he was done, he cracked his fingers and went into their office, turning on the T.V. watching Kat’s Eye News at 9. “Looks like today’s going to be a peaceful day for once. No SWAT Kats to save the day.” said Jake before remembering that Chance had placed two cans of milk in the freezer. As he opened the freezer’s door he saw that the cans had popped open but that wasn’t much of an issue. He looked for two extra large plastic cups and placed the cans in each of them until they thawed out enough to drink. Soon, Chance was done taking a bath and met up with his partner, dressed for the party in his red collar shirt and blue jeans. Just like Jake, he had a white undershirt only notable from the front.

“Ready, Chance?” asked Jake while tossing him the keys to Callie’s Sedan.

Chance caught the keys and then showed Jake a small wrapped up birthday present using his other hand. “I think we’re ready. We gotta pick up our paycheck first though.”

“The let’s go.” Chance made his way onto Callie’s Sedan and started it while Jake opened their garage door before entering the passenger seat. Within moments, both of them made their way to the bank unaware of the things that were about to unfold that day.

***

It was almost noon and Chance and Jake had arrived at Megakat Savings Bank. They entered it’s doors and made their way to Elisia Fangs, their banking agent and paycheck manager. She was wearing the standard blue uniform with a medium blue skirt. Her entire stature expressed the term ‘professional’ in every single way, and her clear clean glasses only helped strengthen her outlook.

“Oh! Jake, Chance, how are you boys today?” She asked as she offered them a seat as she always did. She was searching for their paychecks. “I take it you two are off somewhere?” Elisia had a sharp eye. Normally she would see Chance and Jake in their work clothes, but this time they were well dressed.

“Yeah, Eli. We’re just here to pick up our paychecks.” Jake didn’t bother to take a seat, and neither did Chance. “We’re heading to Ms. Briggs’ birthday bash.”

“Oh! Well doesn’t that sound like fun? Chance, will you be a dear and try and get me some cake this time?”

“If he doesn’t eat it on the way.” Jake chuckled.

“Wait, you weren’t invited, Eli?” Chance said as he sat down. “I thought you and Ms. Briggs were really close friends.”

Elisia giggled. “Yeah, we are and she did invite me.” She sighed as she handed them their paychecks. “Unfortunately, several of the bank employees decided to take several vacations during this and next week so I’m stuck here doing some of the overtime.”

Jake frowned at what she had just said and took a seat. “That’s awful Eli. You of all people never missed out on Ms. Briggs’ birthday bashes. This’ll be your first time, right?”

“Yeah, but it isn’t as bad as it seems.” Elisia then remembered about the small blue gift on her desk. “Boys, would you mind giving this to Cal for me? And no peeking Chance, it’s a surprise.”

Jake laughed. “Don’t worry, Eli. We’ll make sure Ms. Briggs gets your present.”

“Oh, thank-you you two. Do give my regards to Cal also, okay?”

“Will do El. And I’ll bring extra cake so at least some of it will survive the trip.” Chance and Jake waved their good-byes at Elisia. Chance handed his paycheck to Jake. “Hey, do you mind cashing in my check while I start the car?”

Jake took the paycheck. “Sure.”

Both of them split to their destinations. Within five minutes, Jake was done cashing the check and joined his partner. Both of them were on their way to Callie’s birthday party.

***

It wasn’t long before the guys had reached Callie’s party. It was being held at City Hall, complements of Mayor Manx himself. He and Ms. Briggs were talking about some matters when Chance and Jake arrived. Mayor Manx concluded the matter and released Mr. Briggs while he joined a few other of her invitees into a friendly game of indoor golf.

“Chance, Jake! I’m so glad you two could make it.” she said. She hugged each one of them in welcome and showed them in. “This is your first time inside City Hall isn’t it?”

Chance and Jake knew it wasn’t. They had entered the building several times when it was attacked by villains as the SWAT Kats.

“Yeah. This is our first.” said Jake, lying through his teeth.

Chance wasn’t going to be outshined by Jake, and decided to take the initiative. “Ms. Briggs. We brought your some presents. One of them is from us two, and the other is from Elisia.”

“Wait, I invited Elisia. Is she not coming?”

“Afraid not, Ms. Briggs.” explained Jake. “She’s stuck at the bank since there aren’t that many employees working at the moment. Many of them are going to be gone for this week, and the next so she has to do double duty until they come back.”

Ms. Briggs face couldn’t hide her disappointment, but she was understanding. “I see.”

Chance saw how Ms. Briggs felt and offered her some comfort. “There, there, Callie. Look.” He handed her Elisia’s gift. “See? She didn’t forget. She can’t forget. She just couldn’t be here today, but that doesn’t mean you two aren’t friends.”

Ms. Briggs eased up and showed a smile. She turned to Chance and hugged him for the support. “Thanks Chance.” She quickly got over her disappointment and took Jake’s hand. “Well, no point in spending this day sobbing. Come on! Let me show you around! Oh, and Chance, the gifts go over there in the large table.” She pointed towards a large table that had been covered in white cloth. There was a small mountain of presents already built on it, but there was plenty of room for more. As Chance tried to glance back towards Callie, he saw that she and Jake had already disappeared into the crowd. He sighed deeply and walked towards the gift table, placing the two gifts on the side of the mountain pile.

“Well Jake, looks like Callie’s all yours.” Chance made his way to the drinks. He grabbed a couple of the fruit punch drinks and guzzled them down quickly. It didn’t go unnoticed by Jake, who snuck up on Chance and patted him on the back while he was drinking his sixth cup.

“Chance! Take it easy!” Chance choked on the drink, spitting it out and coughing violently. Lucky for him, the spray didn’t hit anyone.

“Jake! Don’t do that!” Chance cleared his throat from pounding his chest to clear any of the trapped liquid in his throat.

“Geez, sorry Chance.” Jake noticed his buddy was hiding something. Callie made her way towards Chance and noticed that Chance looked away from Callie’s direction. It didn’t take him long to notice what was going on.

“Jake, Chance, is everything alright?” she asked in concern. She was among several people who saw Chance choking, but a scene was the last thing Jake wanted for his best friend, especially at Callie’s birthday bash.

“Don’t worry, Callie. Chance just had a bad drink.” Jake grabbed Chance’s shoulder and guided him to the restroom. “Come on, let’s get you cleaned up.”

Chance followed Jake towards the restroom and as soon as they reached the doors, Chance let out a faint “Thanks”. Chance found himself by the nearest sink and splashed water into his face.

Jake saw his opportunity and didn’t hesitate to ask, “Chance, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing. Just like you said, I had a bad drink.”

Jake wasn’t fooled. “Oh, come on Chance. I know something is bothering you, and I know it’s something to do with Callie. You can tell me.”

Chance was furious, “I said it was nothing!” Chance shoved a fist onto the side of the mirror in front of him, cracking the wall.

Jake almost jumped at his partner’s action, but held his ground. “Chance, I’m here to help.” Jake saw Chance ease up a little bit and pressed on further. “We’ve been friends for a long time now. You can tell me what’s bothering you.”

Jake placed a hand on Chance’s shoulder, showing him a supportive face. Chance glanced back at Jake and eased up even more. Within a few seconds, he began to talk. “You and Callie, that’s what’s bothering me.”

“Me and Callie?” Jake knew where he was going with it. Chance always had a crush on Callie, and Jake knew it. Lately however, Callie’s been more and more active with him instead, and he knew Callie was interested more in him than with Chance, which didn’t bother him one bit but was now apparently bothering his friend. “I see.”

“I’ve said it before. I don’t mind you and Callie getting together, but at least tell me that you two are going out or something.” Chance splashed his face once more with cold water.

With the way things were going, Jake knew he couldn’t say that he and Callie weren’t going out, and he couldn’t say that to himself either. “Okay. So maybe we’re becoming more than just friends, but I’ve yet to officially ask her out on a date or something.”

Chance reached for a couple of paper towels and began to dry his face. “Well, even when you say that, it’s tough hearing it. I mean, you’ve known I liked Callie for a long time now Jake. And then, when I try to make my move, well, she always jumps to you instead.”

“Well, Chance, you also have to take Callie’s choice also. It can’t just be a one person relationship because that isn’t a real relationship.”

“I know. But still, something I wish I knew what I could do to change myself and fit Callie’s image.”

Unknownst to them, Callie was nearby, overhearing their conversation from outside the restroom while pretending to be on the phone.

“Chance, maybe you shouldn’t worry about changing yourself.” Jake washed his hands and reached for a couple of paper towels.

“Well, then what should I try doing? I mean, Callie doesn’t like me anything more than a friend, and I don’t think talking to you about it would bring any ‘closure’ between the two of us.” Chance stared at the mirror long and hard. Outside, Callie took in deep their conversation, taking several mental notes.

Jake tossed the towels into the disposal bin. “Well, why don’t you talk to her? That way, you’ll find out how she feels, and you won’t have to worry about knowing whether she likes you or not.”

“But what if she rejects me? And I think we both know that that’s likely going to happen.” Callie rolled her eyes at Chance’s statement.

“Well, take a risk. And besides,” Jake assured his friend, “even if she doesn’t want to go out with you, you two can still be friends, right?”

“But Jake, I told you already, I don’t want me and Callie to be ‘just’ friends.”

“You’re still going to have to get her opinion on the matter. Remember Chance, “It takes two to horizontal tango”, or at least that’s the expression.”

Chance thought about Jake’s words. He didn’t like what he was hearing, but he knew it was true at the same time.

“Alright. I’ll talk to her, but not today. At the very least I don’t want her to remember that she dumped me on her birthday or something.”

Callie starred blankly. Her thoughts were wondering, stirred by all that she had just heard. As Chance and Jake exited the restroom, Callie walked up to them, keeping everything she had just heard secret for the time being.

“Boys! There you are. We were just about to take a photo, please tell me you two would join me and my guests.”

Chance and Jake looked at each other and then back at Callie, nodding at the offer. She grabbed Jake’s hand guiding him quickly towards the photo. Chance felt a little left out, but that changed when he saw the Callie and Jake were waving at him.

“Come on, Chance! It won’t be a real photo without you!” Shouted Jake.

“Chance! Get over here!” second Callie.

With his spirits up, Chance joined the two of them along with all the guests. The cameraman set the shot, and finished a grand picture. From there the party spun off even more. Dancing, party games, eating and socializing was abundant, and Chance and Jake were part of it all. Major Manx shared several of his accomplishment stories and jokes with the guests and Callie talked to several of her friends from out of the city.

The moment was soon too be short lived. The three figures from before had closed in on City Hall, just as Callie was about to open her presents.

“This is the last building to be searched.” said Hades. “The locket is bound to be here.”

“There is no doubt about that.” said the bluish figure. “Zeus, can you feel the locket’s presence here?”

The white figure landed between the two of them. There was a glow radiating from him that was visible even in the daylight. “Yes, Poseidon. This is the building where the locket resides.” Each of the figures glanced towards the sky. “We still have plenty of time, but even so, let’s obtain the locket now so that we may have everything ready for sunset.”

The three figures jumped onto the streets and entered City Hall. The official on duty glanced at Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.

“Do you three have some sort of business at City Hall?” asked the officer. Hades lifted her finger and tapped the officer on the forehead, and just as fast the officer fell back unconscious. Two other officers saw what happened and took action.

“Freeze!” Both of them raised their guns, taking aim at the three figures. “Don’t move or we will be forced to fire!”

The figures continued approaching the two officers without flinching.

“We’re warning you!” The figures didn’t stop and the officers opened fire. Just as quickly, Zeus lifted his hands and the bullets stopped in their tracks. The three figures continued their way, and Zeus stopped all the bullets that the officers fired, flinching a little in the process. When the officers noticed they had exhausted their bullets, Hades sped towards them quickly, tapping their foreheads just as she did with the first officer. Their eyes rolled backwards and fell unconscious to the floor. Zeus placed his hands on the elevator switch, channeling an electrical current through the metal. It only took a few seconds for the elevator to open its doors. The three figures boarded the elevator and Zeus channeled the same electrical current from the palm of his hand onto the elevator’s control panel. The elevator closed, and the three figures made their way towards the last floor of City Hall.

Everyone of the guests had surrounded near Callie as she was opening her presents. She had already received a new laptop, a collection of lipsticks, a new hot pink business suit, and a pair of silver sweat pants with a matching silver sweater. She reached for her next gift, grabbing the small bag with a tag saying “From Chance and Jake. Hope you’ll like it.” Callie reached inside the bag and retrieved a small gold locket. It shun brightly across the room.

“Wow. This is, interesting.” she said as she glanced at the design. She opened the locket and saw the bright mirrors inside. “This is really thoughtful of you two. I like it.”

Chance nudged Jake. “Told ya she’d like it.”

Jake rolled his eyes as Callie opened the small present from Elisia. It too was a small gold locket, and resembled the locket Chance and Jake had given to Callie, except the eight star symbol was a heart instead. She opened it up and inside was a picture of both Callie and Elisia in their graduation gowns, with a small note inside saying “We’ll always be friends, and I’ll always be there for you. -Eli”

Everyone awed at the words and Callie showed a single tear of joy. “This is beautiful.” She put the locket on.

“Looks like you got beat big time, Chance.” Jake whispered.

“Aww, blow it out your tail.” Chance fired at his partner silently. None of the invitees were aware that trouble was on its way.

However, back on the first floor, the first officer, weak on the floor, managed to wake up briefly. “I’ve…got…to…warn…the…Enforcers…” The officer pressed a small red alarm switch before being slipping unconscious once more. The alarm across City Hall went off and everyone was caught by surprise.

“Oh no, not today.” Callie whined.

“What going on?” Jake asked alarmed.

“Looks like there’s trouble. Everyone! To the emergency exits!” Callie pointed at a pair of exits on the sides of the rooms. She grabbed onto Mayor Manx and escorted him out to one of them.

Chance realized that he still had the keys to Callie’s Sedan and reached for them. “Callie! Here!” He tossed them towards her. As she caught them, Chance added a few notes. “We fixed your car! It’s down on the parking lot!”

“Okay! Thanks guys!” She left quickly along with several of the others. Chance and Jake decided to take a different route off the building.

“Come on Chance, we don’t have much time!”

“Hold up will ya Jake?! We don’t even know what’s going on!”

Jake made sure there were no camera’s around before he opened one of the windows in City Hall.

“What are ya doing, Jake?!”

“Calling our ride.” He pressed a small button on the side of his belt.

Back at the hanger, the systems began to come alive. The Turbokat was propped for take off. As the engines began to activate, the jet’s rear thrusters sprung to life and the Turbokat was off, homing into Chance and Jake’s location.

At the same time, the three figures had finally arrived at the last floor of City Hall. Zeus could tell the locket was nearby. As they entered the room, Chance and Jake noticed that they weren’t going to be alone for long.

“Jake, we have company.” whispered Chance.

“I know. Come on.” Jake made his way outside of the window, balancing himself from the edge of the building.

Chance followed his lead. “Jake, sometimes I think you’re crazier than me.”

“Don’t worry, just jump when I tell you.” He checked a small timer on the side of his belt.

“Jump?!” Chance smacked his mouth shut. Lucky for him, the three intruders did not notice him.

Zeus’s golden eye began to glow, and he picked up the locket’s whereabouts. “Down there.” he said as he pointed towards the parking lot. He glanced at Callie and the Mayor who were getting on her green Sedan.

“We’ll catch up if we jump.” said Hades, quickly braking through the window, making her long decent.

“She rushes too much.” said Poseidon as he followed her lead with Zeus falling behind the two of them.

Chance managed to glimpse at them in amazement at how they just jumped off the building. However, a familiar sound grabbed his attention.

“Jump in three, two, one, now!” Jake jumped and Chance followed without thinking. The Turbokat swooped beneath them, and they landed on their seats. “Set it on out pilot T-Bone, and here.” Jake (now Razor) handed Chance (now T-Bone) his flight suit, helmet and bandana. T-Bone followed Razor’s orders and within a few moments, they had let go of their original identities, and turned into the SWAT Kats. T-Bone switched the back from autopilot to manual and headed towards the parking lot when he noticed the sky darkening. Both of them turned around to see that a large Temple was slowly becoming more and more apparent. It hovered above the city and stayed in position.

“Razor, what is that?”

“I don’t know T-Bone.” he said as he saw the Temple. “But whatever it is, it can’t be a good.”

RECAP!

Last time on SWAT KATS!

“Chance! Did you forget that tomorrow is Mrs. Briggs’ Birthday?!”

“How could I forget?”

“…her birthday present?” asked Jake.

Chance stopped at the door. “Wait, we don’t have a present for Callie?!”

***

Nighttime, Chance is in the alley staring at the small gold locket. “Wow. Well aren’t you a good looker.”

On top of the building by the alley. “That locket is influenced by the Temple it is nearest too. Remember what happened when we went to the other Temples?” said Zeus.

***

The three figures walked inside City Hall.

“Freeze!” The figures engaged the officers and made their way to the top of the building.

An officer, weak on the floor, managed to wake up briefly. “I’ve…got…to…warn…the…Enforcers…” The officer pressed a small red alarm switch.

“What are ya doing, Jake?!”

“Calling our ride.” He pressed a small button on the side of his belt.

“Jake, we have company.” whispered Chance.

“Don’t worry, just jump when I tell you.” He checked a small timer on the side of his belt.

Both of them turned around to see that a large Temple was slowly becoming more and more apparent. It hovered above the city and stayed in position.

“Razor, what is that?”

Episode 3 - The Ones Known as “Trinity“! - Part 2

T-Bone watched as the three figures continued their long decent from the last floor of City Hall. “Those guys must be crazy! There’s no way they’ll be able to survive that fall!” The three figures landed on the side walk without any injuries and several citizens were startled by their sudden appearance.

Razor was caught by surprise, and T-Bone just stared at them blankly, unable to believe the three figures were still in one piece. “T-Bone, I don’t think these guys are normal.”

“Well of course not Sherlock!” T-Bone veered the Turbokat and guided it towards the three figures. “Anyway, I think we found the perpetrators.”

“They do look like the type that would wreak parties,” Razor said as he pressed a small red button. From the bottom of the Turbokat, a small mechanism with a radar and a small camera appeared. As the mechanism turned in the direction of the three figures, Razor pressed a switch on the side of his helmet and a black screen slid down the front of his helmet, covering his eyes. From the screen, he saw the three figures up close, and was able to see their features. He glanced at the red figure, a tall woman at about 5’11”, she wore a red cape, a dark red tan top big enough to cover her chest, but small enough so that some of her belly showed. She was wearing read slick jeans that blended into her crimson coated high heels that matched her long crimson gloves. Her fur was a bleach white, and in many ways she resembled Felina, Commander Feral’s niece, except for her eyes. Both were red, but across her left eye, she had what looked like a burn mark in the shape of a long flame that reached down towards the center of her cheek. Just under the same eye, she had an upside down triangle the color black. The second figure was a tall man standing at 6’4” and wearing a blue-green cape. Along with that, he wore a middle-aged blue vest with green rugged jeans and brown boots. He had a couple of silver wrist guards, each marked with strange symbols. His fur was of a deep dark brown and his face resembled that of Feral except without the facial hair and more solemn. His eyes were a radiant blue, and across his left eye, he had a neon-blue trident shaped marking that stretched all the way to the center of his cheek. Just like his partner, he had an upside down triangle under the same eye, except the color was green instead of black. Last but not least, the last figure was the brightest of the three. He had a white cape trimmed with a gold lining. Along side that, he was wearing what looked like a white robe, short sleeved and tightened by several golden laces from the chest. It was tucked neatly under a pair of white silk pants and a golden sash that held them at his waist. A pair of bleach white boots and golden wrist guards toped everything that he was wearing. His fur was golden, exactly like T-Bone’s and his face resembled a serious, younger, and less rounded version of Mayor Manx. One of his right eye’s was of an amber gold color, the other bleach white. Under his bleached eye ran a lightning shaped scar, and a pure white upside down triangle hung underneath it just like his partners. The three figures made their way towards the parking lot, heading straight towards Ms. Briggs and Mayor Manx.

“Get in Mayor!” Yelled Ms. Briggs as she started the car. The Mayor followed obediently as she rushed out of the lot. The three figures stopped in the middle of the street after seeing them escape.

“She has the locket.” Said Zeus.

“Well how are we supposed to catch up to her?” yelled Hades.

“Like this.” Zeus reached on the side of his pants and pulled what looked like a pair of car keys, without the keys. He pressed a small button on the device and the three began running up the street.

T-Bone and Razor were bewildered but at least they were sure that they were the culprits for the trouble they caused. “We should take care of them now, while we have the chance. Razor?”

“I want to say the same thing Chance, but other than crashing a party, these guys haven’t done much as far as we know.”

“They broke into City Hall and were chasing Callie and the Mayor! How much more proof do you need?”

Within a few moments, a transition ran and the two of them heard the report.

“Enforcers, there has been an assault on some security members at City Hall. All three members are in grave conditions and currently on their way to the hospital. Find whoever’s responsible for this, and stop them!” The transition ended.

“That proof enough for ya?” said T-Bone as he turned the Turbokat towards the three figures.

“Alright, launching spider missiles!” Razor pressed a small red button and from beneath the Turbokat three large missiles were released. As they closed in on their targets, they released three entangling nets, ready to capture the three suspects.

“Looks like someone is onto us.” Said Poseidon as he moved in front of the missiles. He raised his hands and the moisture from the air began to collect, becoming a large visible wall of water. His mark began to glow a radiant blue, and the water froze just as missiles made contact with it. Poseidon twitched a little at the impact, but other than that, the missiles had been stopped.

“Poseidon! Get over here!” yelled Zeus as he stopped in the middle of an intersection. There was a loud humming sound coming and soon their sources were made clear. Three motor vehicles made their way in front of their callers and each reflected the user’s design. Hades got on her motorcycle, a slick red design with an ember colored trimming that played with the rest of the dark red designs. Zeus embarked on a white motorcycle with lightning designs, and Poseidon embarked on the last of the three vehicles, a marine blue motorcycle with a dark window shield. Each started their engines and soon they were on Callie’s trail once more.

T-Bone and Razor were a bit shocked, mainly because of the name Zeus had yelled out. “Poseidon? Don’t tell me these guys are some sort of gods from legends!”

“I think it’s safe to assume that, T-Bone. But we still have to take them down!”

“Yeah! Switching to Cyclotron!” T-Bone and Razor disappeared from the cockpit and a large red missile ejected from the Turbokat. The missile soon reformed it’s shape into a two manned motorcycle with jet thrusters. The Turbokat turned to auto pilot and disappeared within the skies of the city while T-Bone and Razor began pursuit. They were on the three villains tails when they were joined by Feral, Felina, and several other enforcers. “Hey! Look who finally decided to show up!”

“The SWAT Kats! I knew you vigilantes were up to no good!” he yelled through a large megaphone from the one of the choppers.

“Cool your jets Feral. If you didn’t catch on, we’re in pursuit!”

“Razor’s right, uncle! Look!” Felina pointed towards the three figures, chasing Callie and the Mayor.

“SWAT Kats, stand down. The enforcers will handle this!” The chopper sped up and soon it was hovering over the three figures. “You three! Stand down or we will engage fire!”

Hades scowled at Feral menacingly. “We don’t take orders from the likes of you!” She raised her hand and focused some of her energy onto it. Her eye mark began to glow red and she unleashed a medium sized fireball at the chopper. Just before it made impact, Felina and Feral evacuated the Chopper, both using their grappling hook launchers to reel them to the safety of the sidewalks.

Feral reached for a small radio on his pocket. “Enforcers! Take them-”

“NO!” Felina smacked the radio from her uncle’s hand. “If you engage, you’ll be putting the Mayor and Deputy Mayor in harms way!”

“Then what do you expect me to do Felina?! Sit here and just tell my men to keep watch?!”

“I have a better idea, Feral!” said Razor tapping into Feral’s radio signal.

“You! Get out of my receiver!”

“You and your enforcers better listen to him Feral!” yelled T-Bone with a commanding tone, one he usually didn’t put on often.

“We don’t know exactly what these guys are capable of, but from the looks of things, I’ve got something to go on. First, the woman in the red is called ‘Hades’ and from the looks of it, she’s capable of some serious pyrotechnics. The guy in the blue motorbike has similar abilities, except with water and from the looks of it the third figure has some kind of electrical powers.”

“So these guys are your typical mutants?” asked Felina through her radio.

“Probably. Now, here’s the plan. T-Bone and I will try and intercept them, pass them, and catch up to Callie and Manx. We’re gonna need some cover, and that’s where you guys come in. Keep those three busy while we rescue Ms. Briggs and the mayor, got it?”

Feral hated being bossed around, but he knew the SWAT Kats were right. “Alright, you heard them men! Engage at close range!”

Six enforcer vehicles closed in on the three figures while T-Bone and Razor sped up using the side walk, avoiding all the people in the way.

“HEY! Watch it!” Yelled a civilian, waving his fist at the SWAT Kats before realizing who they were. T-Bone and Razor paid no attention to him as they were more focused on getting Callie and Manx out of harms way.

Within moments, the SWAT Kats had moved near the three riders after weaving through traffic and dodging several civilians. Razor soon glanced at the Enforcers and signaled them to start their part of the plan. As the Enforcers began distracting the riders, T-Bone and Razor managed to get to the passanger side of Callie’s green Sedan and opened the door.

"Mrs. Briggs, Mayor! Get on!" yelled out Razor as he let out his hand towards the Mayor.

The mayor, seeming a little freaked out, and babbled mindlessly until he said, "F-Fine SWAT Kats, I just want these people to stop chasing m-ay!"

As the Manx jumped onto the Cyclotron, the enforcer vehicles began firing a few rounds from their pistols at the three figures. Zeus, however, had backed up and lifted his hand just as his lightning mark began glowing. The bullets stopped in their tracks and fell onto the road. Both Zeus’s hand and eyes was twitching a little more than usual and Hades realized what was going on.

"You shouldn't overuse your powers so much! We're not at that level yet!"

"Don't worry about me!" yelled Zeus. "Focus on them two!" He hinted towards the SWAT Kats who had just rescued Manx and had made their way to Callie‘s driver seat.

"Leave them to us!" Poseidon focused on the little moisture from the atmosphere that he was able to grasp. With the water he had collected, he made several sharp icy projectiles and launched them at the wheels of Mayor Manx's vehicle. Callie yelled in terror, but kept her steering steady despite the flat tire.

"Ms. Briggs! You have to jump!" yelled T-Bone as he gave her his hand.

"Trust us, Ms. Briggs!" Razor said holding out his hand towards Callie as well.

Callie looked at both of them and trusted both their hands and their words. She placed one of her shoes and jammed it on the gas pedal as her other on the steering wheel so that it wouldn’t turn during the stunt. When she finished, she opened the door and was about to jump out, until Hades' motorcycle ran into the opened door, causing Callie to fall.

"Ms. Briggs!" Razor said as he quickly grabbed Callie's hand and pulled her up on the Cyclotron. He gasped a sigh of relief and yelled, "Mission Accomplished, T-Bone!”

Unknownst to them, Hades had touched Callie's hand and knocked her unconscious and Poseidon had closed in on them from behind, taking Callie from their hands. Both of them avoided the green Sedan and switched towards the opposite direction, heading back towards Zeus.

"We got the girl!" said Poseidon, holding her on his shoulder.

Zeus turned the other direction as well and was now in a crash course against the enforcers. However, Hades had sped up in front of both Poseidon and Zeus as they aligned themselves in a straight line with her in the front. Just as she was about to crash with an enforcer's vehicle, her mark began to glow and a large explosion issued from under the vehicle, projecting it upwards.

"Zeus! Does she have the locket?" said Hades as she rubbed her head from what seemed to be a minor headache.

Zeus glanced at the back at the girl and his bleached eye began to glow gold. He turned back and nodded. "Time to go to the temple."

The SWAT Kats, caught by surprise by what had happened and turned around as well.

"They weren't after the Mayor...They were after Callie!" T-Bone sped up the Cyclotron and, heading directly for an enforcer vehicle. Just as they were about to crash, T-Bone lifted the Cyclotron and rode over the vehicle instead, making sure that the three figures were still within their range.

"Ah! Could you please get me down from this crazy goose chase?!" yelled out Manx.

The SWAT Kats let off Mayor Manx on the sidewalk and just as they saw the Enforcers arrive to pick up the Mayor they left quickly.

"T-Bone...did you hear them ask about a locket?" Razor asked, looking at T-Bone with the suspicious look he had when he had first seen the locket. "Y-You don't think the locket that you gave her was theirs..."

A shocked expression etched itself over T-Bone’s face. "If it is, then all this is my fault." T-Bone said with an angry and guilty conscience. "Razor, you were right. Maybe giving her something I found wasn't a good idea at all, but none of that matters now. We've got to rescue Callie!"

Just as T-Bone said this, Poseidon had found the locket with the eight pointed star. "We have what we want. What should I do with the girl?" he asked Zeus.

With cold eyes he answered, "Dispose of her."

With those words, he instantly tossed her in the air, riding on without any remorse to what would happen to Callie.

Both T-Bone and Razor yelled in sheer terror as they saw her body tossed in the air, "CALLIE!"

Razor pressed a small button on the Cyclotron and within that second the Turbokat arrived. It released a small hook and wire that Razor used to get off the Cyclotron. He placed one foot between the hook and jolted his body towards Callie, catching her mid air.. "I got ya, Ms. Briggs!" he said, holding her tightly as they began to be lowered down. It didn’t take him long to realize she was unconscious so he made sure to grab her tightly.

With Callie safe in Razor's arms, T-Bone's rage took over and he directed it all at the three figures. "Blow torch missiles, deploy!"

With rage fulling his attack, T-Bone had deployed not three, but nine of the missiles. However, the three figures saw this and countered.

"We can't use out powers much anymore." said Poseidon as his mark began to glow.

"But we can use some of it together." said Hades as her mark began to glow as well.

"Let's share our powers once more!" said Zeus as his mark began to glow. All three figures lifted their hands and then pointed towards T-Bone's assault. An invisible yet visible force became apparent that seemed to resemble the heat from sun on a very hot summer day made it's way towards the missiles, exploding all of them before they even had a chance at impacting the figures. But the wave didn't stop there. The moment T-Bone saw the missiles explode was also the same time he was caught by the wave. There was no heat, but he felt a strange and painful sensation through out his body. As he yelled, he placed his hands on his head. Just before the Cyclotron could lose it's balance, the engine exploded and several of it's pieces were scattered.

The three figures caught their breath and Zeus focused once more at the Temple floating above. "That's one less problem we have to deal with. Now let’s get going.”

After Razor and Callie had gotten safely to the ground, he turned and saw what had taken place. As he watched the Cyclotron explode, he immediately thought the worst and ran towards his partner.

"T-BONE!" Razor yelled as he arrived at the site of the burning Cyclotron. T-Bone was on the ground, unconscious, and covered by some of the Cyclotron’s pieces. He was still alive. Razor lifted some of the material out of the way before pulling T-Bone out of the burning vehicle. He supported his wounded partner’s weight as he made his way back towards the Turbokat. "Come on T, stay with me!"

As both of the SWAT Kat members reached the Turbokat, T-Bone regained his consciousness, and the moment he did he flinched and kneeled in pain. A medium sized piece of the shield glass had lodged itself on the side of his belly. T-Bone painfully reached and pulled it out, yelling in pain. "D-damn it..." He was bleeding and needed to get his wound patched up soon. "Razor, is Callie...okay?" he asked as he saw she was still unconscious.

Somewhat relieved, Razor released his partner and went to check on Callie. "Yeah T-Bone, she’s alright." Razor said, as he carried her. “But it looks like she‘ll be out of it for a while.” He pressed a small button on his belt and the Turbokat landing near them. With the little strength T-Bone had, he made it over to the Turbokat. The Enforcers had arrived, several wounded from the struggle that took place earlier. Razor handed them the unconscious Callie before joining his partner.

“T-Bone, we better get you fixed up. Let‘s go back to the hangar.” said Razor. His concern was apparent and his voice refused to hide it.

"We can't go back to lick my wounds, Razor! We still have to stop those three!" Flight was a bit painful for T-Bone as he went for the remaining pieces of the Cyclotron and picked them up.

Razor didn‘t like what he was hearing, but he knew he T-Bone would to flight manually anyway. "You better not die on me, T-Bone..." Razor mumbled as he prepared all weapons systems.

While Razor did that, T-Bone tore the sleeves off his suit, using both of them to bandaged his wound tightly before taking command of the jet. They quickly began pursuit once more and it wasn‘t long before they had found the three figures. T-Bone flinched a little but kept the jet steady. "No time to waste, Razor! Shoot them down!"

Although Razor was still a worried about his pilot, he wasted no time and followed with T-Bone’s order. "Locking on target,“ Razor paused for a moment until the his screen had locked on. “Got 'em!" he said as he finally pressed a small button. "Launching Slicer Missiles!!"

Four box shaped missiles ejected from underneath the Turbokat and launched straight towards the three. Midway from their target, four large sharp jack knifes positioned themselves, blinking with the little light that was still around indicating that they were very sharp.

The missiles did not go unnoticed, especially by Zeus who saw that the SWAT Kats were back on their tails. "So, it looks like these two are more resilient than they look. Well it doesn't matter now since we reached our check point." The three figures saw the missiles and each avoided them effortlessly. After dodging the sharp ends of the missiles, the three figures pressed the single black button on their right handles. Their wheels began to glow in their own colors of red, blue and white as they thrusted towards what looked like the one of the two buildings where T-Bone had found the locket. Instead of crashing into the walls, they pulled their bikes vertically and rode across up on the wall of the building.

After seeing what the three figures were able to do, they weren‘t surprised to see them riding like they were. "T-Bone!" Razor said as he tried to lock onto them once more.

T-Bone smirked, wincing in pain briefly. "Y-Yeah...I know..." he said, before he pushed on the accelerator and veered the Turbokat vertically as well.

Razor looked at the riders in front of them and asked, "What are those three up to?"

“Let’s not find out!”

Razor nodded in agreement as he pressed another button from his weapons control panel. “Launching Turbo-Octo Missiles!”

Three missiles red double thruster missiles shot from the left wing of the Turbokat. Midway towards their targets, their casings opened to reveal eight metallic arms that resembled those of an octopus. They were just about reach their targets before three small one manned ships, each matching the colors of the motorcycles, appeared just over the roof of the building, taking their designated pilots and escaping the missiles.

“Damn it Razor! You missed again!”

Razor didn’t have any look of discouragement with a grin slowly revealing itself across his face. “I don’t think so!” As he said this, the Turbo-Octo Missiles switch course and were tailing the three figures once more. “My Turbo-Octo Missiles are upgraded versions of our old Octopus Missiles. They’re homing missiles so they stay on your tail even if you avoid them!”

“Alright Razor!” T-Bone turned the Turbokat once more, following the missiles from a distance. He was able to get a better look at the three individual ships more accurately. Hades was riding what looked like a red and more streamline version of an Enforcer yet with four wings instead of one making it also resemble an X-wing fighter from Star Wars except without the four blasters. Poseidon’s ship resembled much of the Turbokat except its entire paint job was blue and it was severely smaller by comparison especially its wings. Last, but not least, Zeus’s ship was a white B-2 Spirit about half the size of a normal one along with slick and sharp gold trimming across it’s wings.

The three pilots noticed that they were still being targeted by the missiles and took evasive action. They maneuvered themselves to see how the missiles were following them. After doing so, the three figures crossed paths, avoiding each other slightly. The missiles copied their movements, but crashed into each other and exploded in flight.

Zeus then appeared on the Turbokat’s monitor, grinning. “It’ll take more than a few homing missiles to stop us. Not that you miserable pilots can anyway.”

“Miserable pil-” T-Bone winced once more at the pain from his wound.

“Looks like our attack did have some effect.” said Zeus noticing the deep cut on the side of T-Bone’s stomach. “With a wound like that you won’t last much longer in the air.” Zeus cut the transmission and continued his path towards the large temple, floating over the city.

T-Bone sped up the Turbokat further, trying to keep it steady while Razor locked on target once more.

“Keep it stead T-Bone, I’m almost locked on again.” As Razor’s screen locked on, he pressed another red button to launch a few more missiles, but T-Bone gave in to the pain and had veered a little to the left altering the missile’s path. The Blowtorch Missiles missed their targets by a long shot. “T-Bone!”

“I know!” he barked back at Razor. “You try flying this ship with a-” his sentence was cut off as another sharp pulse of pain filled his body. T-Bone’s wound was dripping blood on the side of his seat, and some of it began riding down the floor in a very small stream.

Razor noticed the blood and his concern sky rocketed. “T, we need to call this off. You’re in no shape to fly the plane!”

T-Bone knew Razor was right, but his stubbornness kept him at bay. “No can do, Razor.” He steadied the Turbokat once more and sped it up further, wincing as the pain rose more sharply. “We’re stopping them now!”

“T-Bone…”

“Don’t just stand there Razor! Shoot them down!”

Razor threw all his concern away for the moment and quickly locked onto the three figures. They were right behind Poseidon’s ship. “Spitter Missiles, deployed!” Two large grey missiles with tubes in their heads were deployed.

“That won’t be enough to stop me!” said Poseidon as he pressed a red button on his control panel. From underneath his ship two missiles launched and were in course for impact with the Spitter Missiles.

Razor saw through the counter however, and pressed a blue button on his control panel. “Super Banshee Missile, deployed!”

“Not that thing again, Razor! I’ve told you before, it’s a dud!!”

The missile deployed from underneath the Turbokat and began to direct a very sharp screeching sound at the four missiles. “Not this time it isn’t.” Poseidon’s missiles exploded and so did Razor’s Spitter Missiles. However, the Spitter Missiles had released their cement load as they had exploded, splattering Poseidon’s ship with the quick drying substance all over it, especially at it’s engines. Along with that, the Banshee Missile fried Poseidon’s systems, shutting down his ship for good. The Banshee Missile then made it’s way towards Hade’s ship, short circuiting some of her systems before it exploded in air. “Alright! One down, two to go!”

Hades still had good control of her ship but was alarmed that Poseidon had been taken out. She contacted Zeus using her monitor. “Zeus! Poseidon’s out and he has the-”

“Locket?” said Zeus, showing her the locket in her hands.

Hades was both shocked and relieved. “When did he give it to you?”

“He didn’t, but I knew it would be better if I kept it. I use some of my powers to attract the locket to myself after we had seemingly taken care of that pilot.”

“What about Poseidon?” she asked with no worry in her voice.

“He is not dead.” Zeus said before Poseidon came onto her screen.

“Indeed, I’m not. My ship may have crashed but I escaped.” His face vanished from Hades’ monitor screen and showed up on Zeus’s. “Zeus, you know what to do.” With those words, he vanished from the screen.

Zeus reestablished contact with Hades. “Hades. You must take care of these meddlesome pilots as much as you can. I will make it to the Temple of Dreams and activate it’s core. Understood?”

Hades knew what Zeus was up to and complied. As his ship sped up further, Hades veered backwards to face the SWAT Kats.

“Razor! Boogie right in front of us!”

“Way ahead of you T!” Razor pressed a small red button on his control screen and a heavy revolving cannon ejected from underneath the Turbokat. A black screen slid down from Razor’s helmet and locked on target to Hades’ ship. “Cement Cannon, armed!” He launching several rounds of quick drying cement towards Hades, but she managed to maneuver through all of it. After dodging all the rounds, she managed to get behind them and locked on target.

“Let’s see how you handle these boys!”

Just as Hades was about to launch her missiles, Razor beat her by pressing another button on his control panel. “Droptops, deployed!” A multiple set of spinning tops attached to cables sprung down from underneath the Turbokat and mutilated Hades ship. They tore off all four wings of her ship, part of the jet’s nose and left several holes on whatever remained.

Her ship was destroyed but she escaped the fate of crashing below with it by ejecting her seat. Although the fall was great she landed on top of one of the buildings unharmed and was soon joined by Poseidon. “It’s all up Zeus now…” she said grinding her teeth. She couldn’t believe she was bested by what she deemed “Pathetic normal creatures…”

“Those ‘pathetic normal creatures’ just bested us two.” said Poseidon with a stern voice.

Hades crossed her arms in disgust. “Well at least they won’t be able to best Zeus!” She glanced back up and saw the SWAT Kats close in to the last of the three figures.

Zeus glanced back and saw the SWAT Kats still on his tail. Within that moment he appeared on their monitor screen once more. “Bravo, bravo. You’ve managed to best my two partners quite easily.”

T-Bone smirked at the compliment. “Yeah, and we still have some left for you!”

Zeus laughed at the statement. “We shall see about that!” He cut communication once more and turned his ship to face the SWAT Kats once more. His ship was closing in fast and was heading for a crash course against the SWAT Kats.

“No bests the SWAT Kats!” said T-Bone, speeding up the Turbokat as well. The two ships were just about to crash when both pilots veered their ships vertically, barely escaping the crash course. The two ships boomed away from each other creating a thundering boom that they could all feel. Razor and Zeus twitched at the shock from the boom, but T-Bone yelled in pain. The shock had thrashed his body and opened the wound even further.

“T-Bone! You okay?!” yelled Razor as he heard his partner yell in agony.

T-Bone bit his lip trying to sulk it up but the wound now stung more sharply than before. T-Bone stared at the controls and at the outside noticing his vision was become more and more blurry from the blood loss. He tried shaking it off and regained some focus. “I’ll be fine…” he lied.

“T-Bone, you can’t handle another one of those sonic booms! It’ll kill you!” Then Razor realized what Zeus was doing. “T-Bone, he’s trying to take you out!”

“No duh, Sherlock! I’m surprised he hasn’t fired a missile at us.”

“No, T-Bone. He’s trying to take you out! Not me!”

Razor’s idea made sense. Zeus was saving his ammunition for the moment to strike, and was just bidding his time. He knew T-Bone wouldn’t be able to last much longer with that wound, and in several ways was just stalling until T-Bone loses conscious or is weakened enough that his piloting skills are compromised. T-Bone thought long and hard, and Razor did as well. It was then that T-Bone had his resolve.

“I brought Callie into this mess because of my stupid mistake. Now she’s out cold in the hospital bed for the rest of her birthday.” He closed his eyes and let out a tear. “The least I can do…” he said as he turned the Turbokat once more towards Zeus, “is bring these guys down!!”

“Let’s do this!” said Razor locking onto Zeus’s ship. “Turboblades deployed!” Four sharp, flat, non-powered blades launched from the front of the wings of the Turbokat.

Zeus maneuvered around them effortlessly and turning to face the SWAT Kats once more. “One more boom should be enough to finish you!” He sped up even further.

“Another face-off, eh?” said T-Bone speeding up the Turbokat just as fast as before.

However, Razor was prepared this time. “T-Bone, make sure to turn the Turbokat so that the bottom faces him, okay?”

“Sounds like a plan!” T-Bone didn’t know what his partner was up to, but he knew it was now or never. Just as the two were about to crash, they both turned their ships sideways to pass by each other.

Just as Zeus’s ship was about to pass them, Razor pressed the same button on his control panel as he had done before and from under the Turbokat, the Droptops were deployed, puncturing through Zeus’s ship and completely tearing it apart.

Zeus saw how his ship was now wingless with large gaping holes and slammed his fist across his control panel. “Damn it!” he yelled before he noticed that he was still close to the Temple. Without thinking, he pressed the ejector seat and was launched towards the temple. It seemed that he was about to reach its doors when the Temple began to become transparent. Zeus was shocked at the sight and turned to see that the sun was just about to set. Just as he was about to grasp hold of it’s entrance, the Temple vanished. “NO!!!” He yelled as he feel from the skies onto the city below. Several people saw him as he fell from the great height. No one was able to catch him, but there was no need. He landed on a car on his feet, and had crushed it completely. He was unharmed with the locked in his hand, but his rage had consumed him. His mark glowed, and an electrical field began to pulse around him. “You!!” he yelled at the SWAT Kats, “You will pay for this!!”

Poseidon and Hades soon joined Zeus. The Enforcers had arrived as well.

“Put your hands in the air!” said Feral as the several of the Enforcers surrounded them.

Zeus, Poseidon and Hades did no such thing. Instead, their marks began to glow once more, and a large blast took place where they stood. All the Enforcers ducked for cover from the explosion and when the smoke cleared up, the three figures were gone.

Back in the skies however, things were looking grim. T-Bone had just been struck by a second sonic boom and his wound was bleeding more voraciously than before. Even the wrapping he had done made no difference.

“T-Bone! We have to take you to a hospital!” Razor exclaimed, setting the Turbokat back to auto pilot. They reached the junkyard quickly as they were not to far and as soon as the Turbokat docked, Razor helped his partner out of the ship. The moment both of them landed, T-Bone landed on the floor unconscious.

The darkness had taken grasp over him, as he closed his eyes.

***

“Is he gonna be alright doctor?”

“He’ll be fine.”

The darkness around Chance was clearing up and his eyes awoke to the light of the room. Jake was on some regular clothes, a blue collarless T-shirt, and some jeans. He was sitting down in a chair, relieved at the doctor’s words.

“He’ll could be out of it for a while, but he should make a full recovery.”

“Jake…” Chance uttered. The doctor was shocked to hear Chance talk so suddenly.

Jake rushed towards his partner. “Chance! You’re alright!”

Chance let out a weak grin as he saw his partner’s face. He tried to sit up but both the doctor and Jake kept him from getting up.

“Woah, son! Don’t rush yourself or you could reopen your wound.” The doctor then handed Chance a white pill and some water.

“What happened?” said Chance before swallowing the pill and downing it with some water.

“You had quite the accident. Well, several people did anyway. One of the ships that crashed down in the city had some of it’s pieces flung out and a very sharp window piece sliced the side of your belly. The wound is only deep and was somewhat life threatening, mainly because you could’ve bled to death. Lucky for you, your friend here acted quickly and rushed you here.”

Chance glanced back at Jake, knowing that most of what he had just heard was a lie meant to keep their secret identities secret. But even so, Chance was still grateful. “Thanks, buddy.”

“Any time Chance.” Just as the doctor was exiting the room, a nurse brought Callie, who was sitting in a wheel chair, onto the room.

“Callie! What happened?” asked Jake knowing full well what happened.

“Trouble happened.” she took over the wheel chair and rolled it next to Chance. “I see I’m not the only one who got hurt today.”

Chance couldn’t even bring himself to see Callie eye to eye and she realized why. “Chance, none of this is your fault.” She said as she tried to rub his head. “You were only trying to-”

“But it was my fault Callie!” he said as he turned his head around. “All of it…”

“Yeah, Chance. No one knew that those three were after the locket you found.” said Jake as he placed his hand on Callie’s shoulder.

Chance let out a few tears. “But…you even said it yourself. Something was off with the locket and I ignored you.” He turned to face Callie with a very guilty face. “I’m so, so, so sorry Callie.”

She let out a smile and kissed Chance in the forehead. “Apology accepted. Besides, you guys still gave me the best gift of all!”

Jake and Chance stared at each other blankly, not knowing what Callie was talking about.

“We did?” asked Jake.

“Yeah.” Callie reached for the locket in her neck. “This.”

“Callie, we didn’t get that for you. Eli did.” Chance wiped the tears from his face. “We only brought it for her since she couldn’t make it.”

“Really?” she opened the locket and pulled out the note. “We’ll always be friends, and I’ll always be there for you. -Eli”

“See? We told you it’s from her.” said Jake.

Callie, unfolded the note further and saw a small Christmas photo from last year with Chance, Jake, Robby. Elisia, Sam, and herself all standing by a large Christmas tree. All of them had signed their names on the photo, except Callie. “Do you still think you guys didn’t give me a gift?”

Chance and Jake smiled at the photo, remembering the day like it was yesterday. Callie then folded up the photo and rode her wheelchair out of the room, glancing back at the boys and waving good-bye.

“You know what Jake?”

“What?”

“You and Callie make a really good couple.”

“CHANCE!”

The night was dark, the day was at its end, and the crew slept in the hospital knowing that the worst had passed.

Back on the tops of Megakat Mountains, the three members of Trinity met once more.

“Now we know why the Temple of Dreams chose this place.” Poseidon glanced at the city. His mark was glowing brightly.

Hades scolded at the city. “So we weren’t strong enough this time…we will be next time.” Her mark glowed intensely.

“Our first of three chances has passed. We cannot afford to fail the next time.” said Zeus. “But next time, we will be far stronger than before.” He raised the locket and covered the moon with it. His mark glowed in unison with the other two. “And to make our dreams come true, we will crush the SWAT Kats, once and for all.”

The three figures vanished from the mountain, until they returned once more.
Episode 4 - Return of the Dark SWAT Kats!
The night was dark, quiet and peaceful over Megakat City. A week had passed since the city faced a grand threat and was finally resting peacefully under the stars once more. But not all of its citizens were slumbering. Chance and Jake, two more than ordinary grease monkeys were wide awake back at their junkyard in their secret underground hanger. Each of them were doing their own thing. Chance was working out despite the doctor’s order’s to stay put. Eventually, he grunted in pain from his wound as he collapsed from doing too many push ups, struggling to get up.

Jake walked towards his partner and helped him, leading him towards the bench press area so he could take a seat. “You know Chance, you really shouldn’t overwork yourself, especially with that wound of yours.” After his partner took his seat, Jake fetched two ice cold bottles of water and tossed one at Chance before opening his bottle and guzzling down some of it..

Chance caught the cold refreshment with his right hand while tapping his wound a little, making sure the bandages were still in place. “Don’t worry about me Jake.” Chance said, wincing at the stinging sensation coming from his wound. “A little scratch won’t stop me!” He opened the bottle and chugged down a little over half of the bottle’s contents before wiping the sweat off his head. After popping his hands and neck, he laid down on the bench press and began doing a few reps with the two hundred pounds that were already set on the metal bar. “Besides! We gotta be ready the next time those three freaky mutants show up!”

Jake gave a loud sigh. “Just don’t overdo it, Chance.” He made his way back toward his work table. Both his and Chance’s Gloveatrix were completely dismantled across the table. He began to tinkering with several of the wires and gadgets in the gloves and he was just about to finish putting two of them together when the alarm went off, distracting Jake from connecting them together properly and shocking himself in the process. It only took three seconds for all of Jake’s hairs to fly on end from the electrical current, but other than and the small grey smoke cloud that appeared from the wires he was perfectly fine. Just as Chance placed the press bar down and made his way to the SWAT Kats communication line Jake had already beaten him to it. “Razor here, what’s the problem?” Several words mumbled excitedly through the end of the receiver. It was a long minute of listening, but Jake nodded with a smile at whatever he had just heard. “Alright, we’ll be over there before you know it!”

As Jake hung up the phone, Chance was half way suiting up as his alter ego, T-Bone. “So, what’s the trouble this time?” He put on his shirt carefully, making sure not to move his bandaging too much.

Jake opened his locker and began suiting up to his alter ego, Razor. “It was Professor Hackle. He wants us to visit him again. Said something about a surprise, and that we should get over there pronto.”

T-Bone had finally finished suiting up and made his way to the Turbokat, climbing towards the cockpit. “Well in that case-” he said mid sentence while he clicked a switch on his control panel. There was a loud moaning sound and metallic clanging from underneath the jet, and soon the Cyclotron was released from the jet‘s storage bay. “Let’s take this baby.”

Razor walked up towards the Cyclotron, placing his helmet on. “Yeah. No point in going on the Turbokat for a visit.” Both of them mounted the vehicle.

T-Bone glanced back at the table where Razor was working. “What about the Gloveatrix…es?” asked T-Bone as he started the Cyclotron, springing it to life.

“They can wait. Besides, I’m a bit stuck on how I can make the mechanisms work better. The visit well help me ease my mind. And besides,” Razor tapped the Cyclotron on the side before prepped himself onto the vehicle, “I’m just glad I managed to fix the Cyclotron.“ He cracked his fingers and pulled up his legs onto the vehicle. “All, set on my end.”

“Then lets go!” With a jolt, the Cyclotron jumped on it’s back wheel briefly and then ran down through the Turbokat’s pathway. The entrance at the end of the pathway opened up and both of the SWAT Kat members launched themselves through the junk from the junkyard onto the streets of the city, making their way towards the Professor’s beach side laboratory.

***

Meanwhile, in the skies of Megakat City, a few seemingly random flashing lights hovered by a cloud before they materialized a familiar ship. With the exception of the green hostile paint job that resembled the face of a demon at the end of the ship‘s nose, it was an identical version of the Turbokat itself and it wasn’t just the ship that looked familiar. Sitting in its hostile cockpit was none other than the SWAT Kat’s evil counterparts, the Dark SWAT Kats. Piloting the ship was the evilly rude Dark T-Bone who didn’t seem too pleased with what had just happened to them in their dimension. “You slimy scum ball!” he barked at Dark Razor, his cynical and just as evil co-pilot partner in crime. “You should’ve dropped the bomb earlier when you had the chance!”

“Who you calling a scuzzball, scuzzball?!” Dark Razor fired back at his partner. “Besides! It was your poor flying that let them get a clear shot at us!” Both of them then cooled down realizing one brutal fact. “Wait a minute, if they shot the bomb, how are we still in the air?” Razor felt across his chest and all his controls, making sure that everything was not an illusion.

Dark T-Bone was just as confused and checked everything on his side of the cockpit. “Yeah, this piece of junk should’ve been in a million pieces along with us…” As T-Bone said this, a loud clunking sound caught their attention.

Dark Razor decided to checked all the systems once more and glanced down on their ship, but Dark T-Bone had already found what the problem was from his screen. Their fuel was depleting quickly and it was difficult to stay airborne with their torn up wings. “Take us back to our hideout, fur ball!” yelled Dark Razor, returning to his normal cynical self. “I don’t know what happened about the bomb, but I don’t want to-” He cut his sentence halfway, noticing something else. “Wait, wasn’t it like four o’clock when we tried bombing Enforcer Headquarters?!”

“Yeah?!” barked Dark T-Bone returning to normal as well while heading towards the junkyard. “What of it you big sour puss!”

“Cool it and look outside!” said Dark Razor, pointing at the silent night sky. “Since when is it nighttime at four o’clock?!” Dark T-Bone saw this and sped up the Dark Turbokat, forcing Dark Razor back on his seat. “What are you doing, blubber brain?! You’re going to exhaust all our fuel and get us killed!”

“We were supposed to be dead anyway! Besides, I’m not gonna get us killed and I don‘t want to miss an episode of Scaredy Kat!”

“With your poor flying?! We could crash into a bird and somehow get killed!” as Dark Razor said this, a bird smashed into the window of their cockpit leaving a small trail of blood where it’s head smashed. He was disgusted at the carnage and irony that had just taken place.

“Oh, shut up!” yelled Dark T-Bone. As he turned back he saw the junkyard and pressed a small blue button from the ship. The hangar’s entrance opened up and they flew through the path way. They were moments away from crashing their ship into the other Turbokat but Dark T-Bone had reacted quickly enough to put in the breaks early, slowing down to a stop with only two centimeters worth of distance between the noses of the two jets. Dark T-Bone cut the engines of their jet and both he and his partner exited the vehicle partially confused but as soon as they saw the other jet in its totality, some of the things began to make sense. “This isn’t exactly our base, is it Raz?”

“How long did it take you to figure that out?” Dark Razor walked around the hangar slowly, glancing at every vehicle, weapon and gadget. “Well, well. If I had to put my finger on it, I bet this is the base of those goody goody two cat counterparts of ours.” An idea sprung across his mind as he glanced once more at the hangar. “How about we give ‘em a little pay back for getting in our way, huh T-Bone?” he paused as he looked back onto their ship with the wings torn and the gash on the fuel tank. “Of course, after we fix our ride using these spare parts.” Dark Razor got a wrench and began tearing the pieces they needed from the other Turbokat.

Dark T-Bone was delighted to hear those words. “You know what, Raz?” he said evilly as he made his way back towards their jet, “That actually sounds like a good idea.” After they fixed their ship, Dark T-Bone pulled out his Gloveatrix and placed it on his right hand before tossing his an identical one to his partner. Unlike the SWAT Kats’ Glovatrixes, theirs were more volatile, armed for aggressive combat featuring spikes over the fingers and loaded with several hazardous gadgets and explosives. After Dark Razor had disabled the alarm systems, he gave Dark T-Bone the heads up and the two of them began thrashing the place, destroying what remained of the Turbokat as well as anything they could get their hands on. But their cruel sabotage didn’t stop there. They climbed up to Chance and Jake’s garage and set thermal detonators across several support sites before getting back on their ship. Dark T-Bone laughed as he started their Turbokat. “It’s too bad they weren’t around, but I can just picture the looks on their faces when they see their entire place in shambles.”

Dark Razor shared an evil chuckle. “Yeah!” Dark T-Bone fired their jet to a start, and reversed their aircraft to face the tunnel. Within moments, the jet was riding out of the launch path and soaring through the air. As they made their way towards Megakat City, Dark Razor glanced back at the junkyard. He was holding a remote with a large red button in the middle. “You know what, Bone?”

“What?!” he asked, expecting to be insulted about his flight.

With a grin, Dark Razor pressed the button and soon a large explosion erupted from the junkyard. “This new place seems more promising than back home.”

“So what now?” asked Dark T-Bone with a smirk in his face. “Rob a few banks and then spend the lot?”

“You know me so well!” The two laughed menacingly and victoriously as they headed towards Megakat City for their next major strike.

***

Unaware about their hangar and home being destroyed, the SWAT Kats had arrived at Professor Hackle’s laboratory, but Razor sensed something odd, as if he could tell something bad had happened without knowing what. After both of the riders got off their ride, Razor glanced towards the direction of the junkyard, too far to see anything that had happened. He stood there silent.

His partner noticed Jake’s eerie silence and put a hand on his shoulder. “You alright, buddy?” He could tell there was a hidden worry surrounding his partner’s face.

Razor nodded that something was wrong. “I don’t know why T-Bone, but I just got a bad feeling that something’s happened.”

T-Bone had noticed it also, but he brushed it off aside. “Don’t worry about it, Razor. Now come on! Can’t keep the Professor waiting, right?”

Seeing T-Bone’s logic, Razor brushed off the feeling and followed his partner towards the laboratory’s front door. T-Bone was just about to press the door bell when the door opened up. Professor Hackle stood there, oddly without his cane and he seemed to be holding his head higher than normal, not slouching it like he normally did. “SWAT Kats! Come in! Come in!” he said as he led them into his laboratory. As they entered his home, T-Bone and Razor noticed that the professor had been quite busy since they last saw him. Several new inventions were laid out through the living room and some gizmos were moving around by themselves, tiding up the place although their bug-like appearance made T-Bone’s skin crawl. It wasn’t long before all three had finally reached the Professor’s main work room. Hackle lifted his hand, indicating that his two guests take no step further as he made his way towards a large metallic door. Although it looked like he pressed a button on the wall, there was no sign of one being where he had placed his finger. All the two guests could see was a colorful array of straight digital lights for a second before they disappeared. The doors began to open and a familiar mechanical being rode onto the room. It was a medium sized robot, coated in shiny new silver metal. Its arms were small and had three fingers on each of their ends while its lower body looked like a small tank with metallic tires for motion.

“SWAT Kats, meet Cybertron 2.0” said Professor Hackle as he made his way towards the robot, placing his hand on its head.

T-Bone and Razor were shocked. “Wow! You finally fixed him up Professor!” yelled T-Bone in excitement.

“And he looks good as new!” said Razor. Just as the two were about to approach their old metal friend, two strange silver globs of metal goop launched from Cybertron, landing on their chests. T-Bone and Razor were alarmed at what had just happened and tried to pry off the silver blobs from their suit.

T-Bone was just about to get furious when Professor Hackle approached them. “Do not be alarmed.” he said with a kind voice. “Now follow me.” As he said this, the silvery goop had begun to seemingly disappear until it was all gone from their chests. Not even the slightest hint of the substance was present on their suits, but a strange and powerful feeling took grasp of both T-Bone and Razor. Several questions had come to their minds so they followed Professor Hackle. The had reached a large flat plasma computer screen with several slick and shiny features.

T-Bone didn’t like to be kept in the dark. “What the heck was that, Professor?”

“Pay attention to the screen.” Professor Hackle began typing incredibly fast, more than what both T-Bone and Razor thought humanly possible. Regardless they paid attention to the screen and soon a schematic displaying a large six legged robot that resembled an animal cell. “These are nanobots, microscopic robots with semi artificial intelligence, much like my previous version of Cybertron. It’s these robots that are now inside of you and on your suit.”

Razor was alarmed. “Wait, these things are inside of us?”

“Yes.”

“Why did you plant those things in us, Professor?!” yelled T-Bone furiously.

Professor Hackle waved his arms trying to calm his guest. “Do not be alarmed, these robots are very helpful. I should know since they are also inside me.” He turned towards the computer once more and began to show a schematic of himself. “As you can see, this was me before I had the nanobots. My neck was weak, and several of my muscle tissues were degenerating through age. But now…” he showed a second schematic showing how he looked like now. “My body has been reinforced and strengthened several times. These nanobots helped me get stronger and faster, enhancing my body so that I could do the things I could only do during my younger years and they don’t stop there. These nanobots also increase my awareness and ability to react as well as my sight. Why do you think I’m not wearing my glasses anymore?”

“I barely realized that!” said Razor amazed at what he was hearing. “What else do these nanobots do?”

“They are also connected towards the internet so you can say that you are a walking computer. Any information you need to look up, these nanobots can search, but they are limited only to what is out there on public servers, which is still a lot of information.” He typed several keys once more, but this time Razor and T-Bone were able to see every key he was typing. The computer shut down and Professor Hackle made his way towards a table in the center of his work room. There was a rusty old toaster, a clean knife, a loaf of bread and a jar of strawberry jam. When everyone had approached the table, Professor Hackle tapped the useless toaster and the same similar array of straight digital lights lit brightly across the toaster. It wasn’t long before the contraption began to shake and soon it reformed itself into a new smaller toaster. The rust had been cleared out and it looked brand new. The Professor then took the knife and cut three loafs of bread. Although it looked like only two pieces of bread would be able to fit in the toaster at a time, as soon as the Professor tapped it with his finger once more, a third slot developed and he placed all three slices on the contraption. There was an instant flash of light from the toaster followed by a pop and the three toasts were released from the device, hot and crispy. Professor Hackle began to prepare the toast with jelly. “As you can see, my nanobots are able to interact with machinery of any kind, even if it’s broken down. They are controlled by conscience so I can choose what I want to be reformed without changing everything I touch.” He handed the first toast to T-Bone. “Not only that, but these nanobots can reform the structure of any machine I desire and am in contact with. Like my toaster. It was broken, rusty and useless and I wanted to make a better one from its parts, so I touched the device and my nanobots followed the instruction.” He finished a the second piece of toast and handed it to Razor. “And I haven’t even gotten to the good part of these nanobots.” As he finished the last toast for himself, he tapped the toaster once more. It reformed to a small device that ignited a medium sized flame. The Professor placed his hand over the flame. T-Bone began to choke on the toast as he saw what the Professor was doing and Razor was just as alarmed.

“Professor Hackle! What are you doing?!” he yelled as he pulled the Professor’s hand away from the flame. To his surprise however, there were very little burns and were healing right before his very eyes.

“Besides making the body of it’s user more resilient to pretty much anything, these nanobots also help in cellular recovery. I even jumped off from a height equivalent to ten stories and landed on my feet as if it were nothing.” The Professor’s hand had healed completely and he tapped the machine once more, turning it back to a rusty piece of metal. “And I can reverse the process as well. It took several times to get it right, but as you practice control over these nanobots, you too will be able to do this and more. In fact, I have yet to detail every single feature these nanobots can have and from the looks of it, it could be endless.” T-Bone and Razor were amazed that such high tech devices were now combined with them and they realized that Cybertron was bound to be composed of nothing but nanobots.

“Professor, you’ve really outdone yourself this time!” said Razor as he approached to pat Cybertron in its shoulder.

“Oh no. This isn’t exactly my technology.” said Professor Hackle. He went towards the computer and turned it on once more, and soon an island that was twenty miles east from Anakata Island. “This is Puma Island, a much larger version of Anakata Island with three natural volcanoes. It is a natural reserve and about a week ago I was sent over there to study a few storm anomalies that were happening. The patterns seemed to resemble those of the Pastmaster’s time portals but were different in several aspects. One of the major differences was size. However, the anomalies stopped almost as soon as I had arrived there, but I managed to find this strip of metal. It was heavily burned and something felt odd about it. I took it back to this lab and that’s where I found the nanobots, all damaged at their cores. Using all the gadgets at my disposal, I managed to fix only one of the robots, but that proved to be all I needed to do. That single nanobot fixed its brothers and started a chain reaction. Within just a few seconds all the nanobots were fixed and then that’s when it happened.”

“When what happened, Professor?” asked Razor.

“When the nanobots bonded with me of course. There weren’t many at first, but after I saw their capabilities, and after practice controlling them, I use the little nanobots to fix Cybertron, his entire body into a nanobot composed robot. He had several of the materials required to make them, so it was an easy task. In fact, I had made more nanobots than I thought I would make. More of the nanobots bonded with me, and made me who I am right now.”

“This is great and all Professor, but why did you make these nanobots infest us?” There was a mild hint of anger in T-Bone’s voice.

The Professor chuckled. “Isn’t it obvious? Who better to have these creations than the two young lads that constantly save Megakat City from those other bad kitties?”

T-Bone and Razor looked at each other and nodded. “Thank you Professor Hackle!” said T-Bone abruptly. “I’m sure Cybertron will be a big help for us.”

The Professor approached the two of them and patted them on their shoulders. “Glad to hear it.” He lead his two visitor back towards the entrance with Cybertron rolling behind them. They waved their good-byes and the Professor disappeared behind the doors of his home.

Then T-Bone noticed something odd. He pressed his hand where his wound was, but there was no pain. He opened his suit and unwrapped the bandaging, noticing that the wound had healed completely with no trace of it ever being there. He smirked and pulled his shirt down catching up to Razor. Just as the two of them were about to reach the Cyclotron, Cybertron had beaten them to it and launched a strange silver glob of metal goop which they now knew was full of the nanobots. T-Bone was just about to throw a fit, but Razor stopped him, pointing at what was happening to their ride. Several of its pieces began to reform into a slicker, newer motorcycle. The rockets on the end of the vehicle had disappeared, it’s nose had become slicker, and there was new shinier edging on its sides. Several silver trims ran across from the side of the cycle and connected at the nose. “Woah…” was the only thing that came to T-Bone’s mind as he saw their new ride, newer than ever.

Razor approached his seat and saw that all the weapon switches had disappeared. He was startled at this but when he got on and grasped the handles of his seat, there was a feeling of connection with the vehicle. His seat and handle reformed to fit his likings and all the switches to the weapons appeared as well along with a targeting screen that was exactly like the one in their Turbokat. “This is one sweet ride!” said Razor as he rubbed his hand across the new Cyclotron. He turned to thank Cybertron for what he had done, but noticed that he was smaller than before. Razor understood immediately why he was smaller than before and just nodded.

T-Bone got on the new Cyclotron and the same thing with Razor’s seat happened. The handles reformed to his comfort and several weapon switches along with a targeting screen appeared. “Now this is more like it!” He wasted no effort to spring their new ride to life. As the engines roared, a streak of red light glowed from the top edge of the silver trimming with a blue light from the bottom. T-Bone stepped on the wheel and they were off back home with Cybertron no far behind.

Within moments they had reached the junkyard and immediately noticed the destruction that had taken place. T-Bone and Razor made their way towards their garage home only to find it in ruins with several small fires everywhere. Both of them were in shock. They exited their vehicle and walked slowly towards their home. Razor fell on his knees as he picked up a large torn and burned piece that belonged to their ping pong table. “How…how did this…” he said weakly.

T-Bone punched the ground with all his fury, leaving a large hole from his new found strength. “When I find out who did this, I’m gonna-”

He was interrupted by his partner who dashed quickly towards the wreckage. “T-Bone! Our hangar!” With those words, he quickly dashed to help find the way from their garage to the hangar. After a couple of minutes of clearing the debris, they found the entrance from what used to be their garage and climbed down the dark path. Cybertron followed them, reforming his lower body into a pair of legs so that he wouldn’t fall and land on T-Bone’s head. Razor was the first to reach the hangar followed by T-Bone and Cybertron. Everything was pitch dark. “I can’t see anything.” said Razor before his eyes began to feel strange. As the feeling subsided, he began to notice the details of the hangar clearly.

T-Bone experienced the same thing and was soon seeing the wreckage that had been done. He approached the Turbokat, a pile of broken pieces that barely resembled their trademark jet. “Who could’ve done this?!” he yelled.

“I don’t know.” as Razor said this, Cybertron had found the lights and had spread a few of the nanobots around. It took a few moments before T-Bone and Razor saw that several of the pieces around the hanger were moving. Just as quickly the lights turned on, fixed by their new mechanical companion. Razor’s spirit lightened up as he saw several of their gadgets and gizmos repair on sight. It didn’t take long before the hanger began to look like it’s old self again and T-Bone and Razor wanted to help out too. They rushed towards the Turbokat and placed their hands on the vehicle. “If what the Professor said is true, then we should be able to-” his sentence was cut off as he noticed the same familiar digital lines appear from where their hands made contact with their ship. Both of them put all their focus on repairing the ship using the nanobots. A strange electrical current ran through their bodies making their hairs stand on end, but they kept their focus. Soon, their jet was being repaired to its original glory. By the time they were done, they noticed that their ship was far from complete. Many pieces from both wings were missing and there was a large hole where their fuel line was supposed to be. Razor studied the ship, and a weird but accurate thought came to his mind. “Whoever wrecked our place must’ve taken a few pieces from our ship.”

“What makes you say that, Razor?”

“Look closely at the missing pieces.” he said as he pointed towards the wings.

T-Bone saw what Razor meant immediately. “The edges, it’s like all the pieces were picked out or something.” He scratched his head trying to make sense of things. “Still, why would someone take a few pieces of our ship and then thrash the place without the alarm going off?”

Razor realized only one way all of this would be possible, but he wasn’t entirely sure if it was exactly the ones he thought about. Despite that he devised a plan. “Whoever did this to our hangar has to be in the city. We should check it out!”

“With only the Cyclotron?” asked T-Bone a little skeptical. “Sure, we have nanobots now, but we’ll still be pretty easy to take out!” Just then, Cybertron turned the rest of himself into the silvery goop from before and launched himself into the Turbokat. The ship began to reform itself entirely resembling much like an F-117 Nighthawk, except with curved plating and other minor modifications. The three thrusters in it’s back were more compacted than before, although the front thrusters seemed to be exactly the same. The four flight fins were lengthened and shortened in height making the new Turbokat look more streamline and making it easier for it to cut through the wind. The cockpit was another featured that remained the same except for the gadgets inside. They were effectively placed and distributed making it easier to reach at any arsenal that would still be within the ship. The same word that had run through T-Bone’s mind when he saw the Cyclotron reform itself had made its way to his mouth once more. “Woah…” Both of them approached their new ship just as Cybertron was adding the final touch: a slick and shiny silver trimming at the edge of the wings and fins.

As they entered the cockpit, Razor noticed that all the weapons switches were blinking red, indicating that there were no missile weapons of the kind the buttons represented. “Well, looks like we’re flying without fire power, T-Bone.”

“What about the Cyclotron?” he asked as the ship roared awake from its slumber.

Razor thought deeply. “It should have a few, but not many.”

“They’ll have to do!” T-Bone piloted the ship towards the launch way before fully activating the thrusters. Powerful blue flames erupted from the new jet’s thrusters, pushing the jet through the launch path. “Least the pathway’s still good!” The new Turbokat shot out from the exit and after picking up the Cyclotron nearby their destroyed home they made its way towards the city.

The city was quite, up until one of the walls of Megakat Bank blew up from the inside. Dark T-Bone and Dark Razor jumped from the large gaping hole left by the blast, each carrying large bags of money. It wasn’t long before the Enforcers arrived at the scene of the crime, many surprised to see who they were about to arrest. Feral was in a chopper piloted by his niece. Felina. She seemed surprised about who she was seeing commit the crime, but seeing the two criminals just sparked up his anger. “I knew you SWAT Kats were no good lowlifes!” he yelled through the mega phone. “Put your hands where I can see them!”

T-Bone spat vulgarly on the street. “Some things just don’t change, do they?”

“Yeah, except this time, they actually fell for it!” There was a loud roar from the skies that caught all the Enforcers by surprise. The Dark Turbokat approached the scene and wasted no effort in deploying several Megaton Missiles. The black missiles with large thermal grenade shaped heads found their targets, and soon all the Enforcers except for a small few were taken out by their fiery explosions. All the commotion gave the two felons enough time to place the bags of cash on their cargo bay before mounting their aircraft. Just as the commotion began to subside, the Dark SWAT Kats were in flight.

Felina and Feral followed pursuit. “Why are the SWAT Kats doing this?!” asked Felina, confused from the situation.

“That can wait later, Felina. Right now, we have to stop them!” Feral got on his seat, strapped on his harness and placed his pilot helmet on. It wasn’t long before they opened fire.

Dark Razor saw several of the shots miss only by an inch or two. “Hey, fuzz ball! With you’re flying we’re gonna get shot!”

“Well then why don’t you do something about it!” barked Dark T-Bone at his partner.

Dark Razor grinded his teeth unable to think of a comeback and began fidgeting with the weapon controls. “Fine! I think I will! Let‘s see how this Feral likes a couple of Shredder Spreader Missiles!” He pressed a black button on his panel and soon two black fat missiles ejected from the bottom of their jet.

Feral saw the incoming attack. “Felina! Countermeasures!”

“Roger!” Just as she said this, she pressed a blue button from her mainframe and two Enforcer Missiles ejected to destroy the other two missiles.

Dark Razor smirked at his pursuers. “Bad move, Feral!” As the missiles collided with one another, the Shredder Spreader Missiles released several tiny sharp projectiles that flung all over the area.

The Enforcer chopper was caught by the surprise attack. Several of the sharp projectiles cracked the safety glass, punctured through several pieces of metal and ruined the propellers of the aircraft that kept it airborne. “Uncle!” Felina yelled as she continued to press the eject button from her mainframe. “We’re going down!” Both her and her Uncle tried forcing their doors open but some of the projectiles had jammed the door. As they braced themselves for a crash landing, they heard an unfamiliar roar approaching. Through the cracked glass, they saw a new ship piloted by familiar faces.

“Hey, Feral! Felina! You two need a lift?” T-Bone smirked as his partner pressed a blue button from his weapons panel. T-Bone stopped the Turbokat, hovering it over Feral and Felina’s falling chopper. From underneath the jet, a set of metallic cables with hands on the end were released, tightly grasping the chopper, stopping the crash and landing it safely on one of the rooftops.

Felina was confused, but her gratefulness towards the rescue was more than enough to bring her back to her senses. Feral, on the other hand, was on the brink of insanity. “You! But they…and you…and…What is going on?!”

“Those aren’t us!” answered Razor. “Those are the Dark SWAT Kats. Our evil counter parts from another dimension.”

“Another dimension?” Everything started to make sense for Felina, and she quickly grasped onto the situation. “But, how did they get to this dimension?”

“We don’t know Felina. The last time we face them it was on their dimension, and they were destroyed by Dark Kat’s Bomb mid-flight!”

“Maybe they weren’t destroyed, Razor. Maybe what happened to us in that lightning storm happened to these guys when the bomb went off!”

“Well, either way, we’re gonna have to take care of them like we did last time.” Razor prepared his weapons systems, seeing he had a few missiles available for usage. “Our evil twins are going down!” With those words T-Bone sped up the Turbokat, catching up to their evil duplicates.

The Dark SWAT Kats had taken care of the remaining Enforcer jets before their heroic counterparts had caught up.

“Look whose back!” said Dark Razor scowling at their newest pursuers from his targeting screen.

As Dark T-Bone looked back to see the SWAT Kat’s new ship, his rage skyrocketed. “I thought we destroyed their ship and their hangar!”

“Well, this ought ta finish the job!” Dark Razor pressed a black button with a skull on it. From behind the Dark Turbokat, a long streamline missile black in color with a green demonic face on the front was launched and made its way towards the SWAT Kat’s new ship.

T-Bone didn’t flinch as the missile approached and neither did Razor. In their eyes, it was approaching them quite slowly. It seemed like it was the last second to dodge the missile, but T-Bone effortlessly avoided the missile like he had all the time in the world and followed it up by speeding up the Turbokat to Mach 5 speeds. As the jet sped up, the nose sharpened into a sharp and narrow cone and the wings lengthened while tightening closer towards the center of the ship, making the aircraft resemble the shape of a “V”. Within two seconds the SWAT Kats closed in on the Dark SWAT Kats and were side by side with their counterparts. T-Bone and Razor tuned their new jet’s frequency with the other and soon their faces appeared on the Dark Turbokat’s monitor. “You Dark creeps had a lot of nerve wrecking our place!” yelled T-Bone.

“Yeah! We’d be happy do it again if you want to!” Dark Razor laughed.

Dark T-Bone followed up his partner’s act. “Ask nicely and we’ll even redecorated the entire junkyard for the two of you!”

T-Bone and Razor growled at their remarks. “We stopped you guys once, and we’ll do it again!”

“Again?! We were the ones who shot you guys down!” yelled Dark Razor. “And it wasn’t just one time, it was twice!“

“And now you good for nothing goody goodies are about to get your tails kicked again!” Dark T-Bone slowed his ship down and before speeding up again, directly behind the SWAT Kats.

For once in their lives, the Dark SWAT Kats pulled together as a team, focusing on taking down their rivals. His partner wasted no effort locking onto the other ship. “Sabertooth Missiles, deployed!” Two large missiles with sharp blades on their top and bottom ejected from the front of the ship.

Razor immediately recognized the missiles as they were the same kind that had hit them the last time the two teams had squared off. Just then, a crazy thought hit Razor’s head. “T-Bone, don’t dodge them.”

His partner couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “Are you nuts, Razor?! Those things will fry our ship like last time!”

“I don’t think so. Something is telling me to let them hit.” It wasn’t long before he realize what was telling him to let the missiles impact. “I think Cybertron has something up his sleeve!”

T-Bone remembered that Cybertron was part of the ship now too and soon he heard a voice in his head, whispering the same thing. He remembered the day Cybertron had saved their lives more than once and decided to trust the machine once more. He stayed clear, ready for the impact to take place. As the missiles made contact, a large smoke cloud surrounded the new Turbokat.

“Nice shot, Raz!” said Dark T-Bone, surprising his teammate with a compliment. Unfortunately, their celebration was short lived. As the smoke cleared, both of them saw that their rival’s new Turbokat was still flying without a scratch on their jet. “Raz! What the heck is going on?! That missile hit dead on!”

“I’m replaying what happened! In the mean time, keep those fur balls off our tails!” Dark Razor played back what happened on his screen using the sonar scanner system. In the meantime, both T-Bones were playing cat and mouse in the air switching places every time. It wasn’t long before Dark Razor found out what happened. “T-their s-ship…” he said with a staggering voice.

“Come on, Raz! Spill it!” yelled Dark T-Bone as he maneuvered through the city’s buildings.

“It absorbed them!” he yelled as he saw the missiles dematerialize into the ship. “That ship’s hijacked our missiles!”

Dark T-Bone was alarmed at what his partner was saying. Their counterparts however, were celebrating. “Cybertron you are one sly robot!” complimented T-Bone as he followed pursuit with ease.

On Razor’s panel, a single button had ceased to glow. Words began to reveal themselves on Razor’s monitor. Scrambler Missiles complete. Quantity: 2 “Looks like Cybertron’s able to absorb missiles right before impact! T-Bone! Let’s take ‘em down!”

“Roger that!” T-Bone closed in on the Dark SWAT Kats.

Soon the Dark Turbokat was locked on Razor’s targeting screen. “Scrambler Missile, deployed!” He pressed the red button with a lightning bolt symbol. From beneath their jet a large and long red missiles with a lightning bolt paintjob in its center fired towards the Dark SWAT Kats.

“Oh no you don’t!” Dark Razor retaliated, targeting the missile and countered by deploying a Chomper Missile. From behind their Turbokat, a missile with a shark shaped head and razor sharp teeth deployed. The missiles collided, and a large explosion followed by an electrical shockwave was released.

T-Bone flew over the electrical area and then was back following the ship. “Razor they’re onto us! How many of those Scrambler Missiles you have left?”

“Only one, T-Bone. We’re going to have to make this one count!” Razor locked on target. As he did, T-Bone sped up the Turbokat to Mach 5 speed once more. The SWAT Kats had closed in remarkably fast within a few seconds and Razor launched the missile. All of it happened too fast for the Dark SWAT Kats to react, and soon their ship received a large electrical jolt. Their systems went down and their engines cut off. Just as they were about to crash into a building, the SWAT Kats caught them the same way they caught Feral and Felina’s chopper. “Look at who bested who this time!” smirked T-Bone. He and his partner fist pumped before making their way to Enforcer headquarters.

The Dark SWAT Kats smirked. “You think it’s gonna be that easy to catch us?!” said Dark Razor as he pressed a red button on his screen. They disappeared from the cockpit. From underneath their Turbokat, a large black missile ejected and reformed into a Cyclotron, except it’s paintjob was black instead of red. “We’ll be back, SWAT Kats!” They shot a missile at the streets, and entered the large hole into the sewers. Just as they were about to give chase, the SWAT Kats noted a loud beeping sound coming from the captured Turbokat.

Razor knew what the sound was. “T-Bone! It’s going to self destruct!” Alarmed, T-Bone sped up the Turbokat over the city, dragging the ticking time bomb with them. “What are you doing?!”

“We can’t have that piece of metal blowing up in the city!” T-Bone yelled. He made a loop in mid air, flinging the other Turbokat across the sky like a sling shot. Two seconds after its release, the ship exploded in an array of fireworks from all the missiles and weapons that were on board. Although they were caught by some of the debris, the SWAT Kats were unharmed and made their way back towards the streets where the Dark SWAT Kats had made their escape.

Razor activated the Turbokat’s X-Ray system and tuned it with his monitor. He searched for any signs of the Dark SWAT Kats, but they had given them the slip. “Looks like they got away, buddy. Least they don’t have the Turbokat so we won’t be seeing them anytime soon.”

“And if we see them again, we’ll kick their tails out of the sky!” Although the city lost a large sum of money, danger had been averted once more by their heroes. With that, the SWAT Kats made their way back to the junkyard.

***

In a remote location by Megakat Mountains, the Dark SWAT Kats made their way to a small pass between two of the mountains and stopped there. Dark T-Bone and Dark Razor stepped out of their ride, kicking some of the rocks with their fury. “Those SWAT Kats ruined everything! This place is probably worse than our dimension!” Dark T-Bone punched the mountain side leaving a small crack. “Next time we face them, I’m gonna make sure they stay out of the skies…permanently!”

“One problem, fur brain! With what ship?! Ours is totaled and we don’t even know where Dark Kat is!”

“I’m right here!” From the shadows of the mountain, Dark Kat emerged with a couple of his creeplings. “I’ve been expecting you two, SWAT Kats.” He reached for a remote control inside his large suit and pressed it. A small portion of the mountain’s side opened, revealing a deep dark passage. “Come! We have things to discuss.” The Dark SWAT Kats looked at each other, grinning evilly. The went for their Cyclotron and followed Dark Kat into the dark passage, disappearing in the mountain’s dark void.

***

As the SWAT Kats entered their rebuilt hangar, they saw that there were several modifications done. The walls were cleaners, the circuitry looked more advanced, and several of weapons and missiles had been built and were neatly stored on the side. As the two of them exited the Turbokat, Cybertron ejected himself from the ship, reforming it back to it’s former glory along with it’s missing pieces. Razor patted the robot in the back of the head. “Good job, Cybertron.” As the robot made its way towards an empty power plug, T-Bone and Razor went towards their refurnished lockers. When they opened them, they found their uniforms stitched up and looking good as new along with their red hats. The changed into their work clothes, leaving their alter egos in the locker and climbed up the ladder towards their home in ruins. Jake glanced at where the half moon hovered in the sky. “It’s gonna be a long night, Chance.” He said, grabbing a piece several pieces large torn down pieces effortlessly, not remembering that the nanobots had enhanced their strength.

Chance remembered, and immediately got to work. He placed his hand on several of the torn down pieces, and placed all his focus on fixing the place. The digital lines appeared briefly and soon, he had begun repairing a large part of the wall of their home. “Wanna bet?” smirked Chance as he fixed the wall with some effort in his part. Jake smiled and got to work as well. The night was only half way done, and the two knew they had plenty of time till morning.

Episode 2 - The One's Know as "Trinity"! - Part 1 is up! X3 I think you'll enjoy this part a little bit, but the second part is going to be awesome!

Sry it took so long, but I've been busy. I might start working tmro, so my time is going to be massively cut. However, I'll still try to have an episode by the end of each week, and there is no way I'm NOT gonna write the second part to this episode. It's just too good to pass up!

Also, it looks like I've hit the MAX amount of Media allowed per post...well, the new edits got around that easy :3

Haha, thanks :3 on break from work atm, so just checking how things are going here.

Question: Should I or should I not make Callie somehow be dropped from a great height and be rescued, or should she play the typical damsel in distress and be captured, then rescued? Thinking of doing 1 of the two...but can't decide.
