Exactly, deck can run fine without it.
Without it, I'd have space for spells and traps...and would be kinda forced to just build a synchrocentric Deck, right?
The Deck is just something that I've been thinking of for a while, I personally don't take it seriously. The "joke" is that this Deck has 2 different OTK possibilities by having sets of 3 cards in your hand. (Shooting Quasar usually means game, I believe.)
