Favorite part? Taunting the fans with the tale of Zuko's mom. Oh Mike and Bryan, you trolls. Animation looks stunning, characters all look really likable right now. I have really high hopes for the rest of this show, and I have a feeling I may end up liking it more than the original. My only worry is that there won't be a character as complex and interesting as Zuko.

Plus Katara made a cameo. She was an old lady. Plus, three airbender children. Looks like the Airbenders are starting to thrive and multiply. Aang is not the last airbender anymore.

Which, how weird has that got to be for Katara? She's watching the reincarnation of the man she loved grow up. How weird is that for Tenzen too? He has to train the reincarnation of his father. It's like teaching airbending to the guy who taught you airbending......airbendception.

How old is Korra exactly?
I'm trying to figure out if Aang died young or if Katara's just really old...
But yeah, dope first episode. Action was good, characters are interesting, my only real complaint was that I found it weird the daughter asked about Zuko's mom randomly like that, but it was a funny tease.

Random unorganized thoughts:

- Lin Bei Fong was Toph's daughter. So then the question is, why did she take Toph's last name as opposed to her fathers? Just something that struck me as odd.
- What ever became of Sokka and Suki? Aang and Katara went off to have kids, and we see their descendants. Toph trained people to be metal benders and her daughter seems to be a prominent character. I assume (and I base this assumption on nothing) that Zuko went off to continue being Fire Lord, as did his son or daughter. So what about Sokka?
- Pema (Tenzin's wife) seemed unusually annoyed at the idea of another bender in her family. Methinks it's a sign of anti-bending sentiments.
- "I'm the Avatar! You gotta deal with it!" from potbellied little Korra is my favourite line ever.
- Calling it now. Amon is the Cabbage Merchant.

-I don't know. Maybe her dad was a bum and ran off while Toph was preggo. But probably just so they could easily introduce her as Toph's kid. Katara mentions that Sokka is dead, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Sokka/Suki descendent running around Republic City at some point. The thing that I really want to know about is that bison Tenzen was riding. Because they didn't call it Appa, and Appa was definitely the last of the Flying Bisons.
-I noticed the Pema thing too. I'm calling a long subplot where she has to decide if she wants to betray Korra to the anti-benders or not.
-Baby Korra is amazing.
-This is the greatest thing I've ever heard and it has officially become my headcanon.

I don't think Pema would be bad guy material. She may be annoyed at the fact that she gave birth to 3 airbenders but that doesn't mean she should hate bending. They are her kids.
And Amon can't be the cabbage merchant. The Cabbage Merchant sounded like Jackie Chan and he would have died between when Aang was Avatar and when Korra is Avatar. Besides, Amon sounds like Spike from Cowboy Bebop.
And how else will watch episode 1 of this new series?
