Grey Goo: The Coming of the Nanobots

This little experiment is meant to scramble the opponent's strategy by turning their monsters into self-replicating nanobot swarms that turn adjacent monsters to more self-replicating nanobots, and so on and so forth. The ideal end result is a "grey goo" [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_goo] scenario that could stick your opponent in a lockdown situation.

However, this is pretty audacious by my standards, so I'm not sure about the OCG. If you would have any advice, please help. I made the picture totally from scratch using GIMP's Fractal Explorer plugin.

EARTH
Level 1
Machine/Effect
FLIP: Select 1 monster on your opponent's side of the field. That monster's name, Level, Attribute, Type, ATK, DEF, and effect become the same as this card. As long as this card is face-up on the field, place 1 Spell Counter on any monsters in the Monster Card Zones adjacent to this monster. When a monster adjacent to this card has 3 Spell Counters on it, that monster's name, Level, Attribute, Type, ATK, DEF, and effect become the same as this card. This monster cannot be used as Material for a Synchro Summon or Xyz Summon.

I am confused I think the flip effect weakens its purpose. If I swing at this while its facedown and my monsters attack is higher than its defense then the goo dies. I mean sure you can negate the attack then flip but that seems entirely too slow to me and it doesn't seem like it can get the 3 spell counter effect off unless it is in a spell counter spell caster deck where the monsters make their own spell counters, but even then I wouldn't want to give Exemplar to become an opponents monster that most likely was not that good to begin with.

I think you should get rid of the "flip" part and just let the monster summon add a spell counter and mimic something when it is summoned. Also there should be a once per turn adjustment so you can keep adding spell counters to the monsters adjacent to it.

Thanks a bunch. To be honest, I wasn't sure how to word it either, but I figured if I posted something, you guys would be able to help.

However, I think you misunderstood the strategy behind this card. The point was to turn other monsters into "Grey Goo", leaving your opponent with a bunch of useless nanobot swarms, rather than turning "Grey Goo" into something else.
