Arceus to quench his loneliness created the first Pokemon, Mew. For the longest time these two enjoyed each other's company and they were content. Then one day Mew asked what he was, of which Arceus told him. Mew then asked if there were others, to which Arceus replied "Of course not, I do not require more than one companion." Mew was distraught by this and began to withdraw from Arceus. Eventually Mew left, and Arceus was furious. Arceus rumbled and boiled and fumed for many centuries. After this time Mew returned and Arceus wasn't inclined to forgive him of this slight. Mew simply asked, "and what will you do to punish me? I am immortal, forever trapped at a single point." At this Arceus let his anger go to far and created time. Mew pointed out that time would flow rampantly in all directions if not controlled. For this, Dialga was born. Mew then replied, "Where shall I go, for I flew and flew and found no where to stay." For this Arceus created space and placed lands within it. Mew said that the land would grow barren without a warden. Palkia was conceived to prevent this. Mew lastly replied, "You have broken me, yet I was once one now there are three. I am a match for both of these, how will you stop me?" Arceus was furious with Mew, for he felt that Mew was claiming to be Arceus's equal. Arceus then shattered Mew, and created Pokemon. He placed these Pokemon within space and bound them with time. It took him many days and many nights and when he was done he had two Pokemon left to place. One resembled the original Mew, and this saddened him for he realized what he had done. Arceus sent this Mew down to the world of Pokemon and named him the Guardian of the land and it's Pokemon inhabitants. The last remaining Pokemon was the remnants of Arceus's power molded with the original mew. This Pokemon was dubbed Giratina and was tasked with overseeing the balance of all things. For Arceus was tired and required rest. (Pokemon Era) and there exists 5 mighty nations of Pokemon. The Grand Republic ruled by the Council of Threes, of which Articuno, Entei, Registeel, and Uxie currently lead. This nation is a vast one covering a third of the world itself, and it's capital is the floating sky city of Hyminster. Pokemon starting their journey from this nation start in a modest, sleepy city beside a river that is best known as a haven for the arts. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in fishing, and it is considered notable for its remarkably beautiful view of the local forest. To the north lies The Frozen wastes, while a small nation, this nation is among the most renown due to it's various ancient ruins. It is rumored to be lead by the infamous Zekrom, an exile from the Grand Republic. The nations to the east, reachable only by sea travel, are known as the Commonwealth and the Wild Lands. The Wild Lands are nothing more than a wilderness where those who have refused the Commonwealth's views and position in the world reside. It is a dangerous place and fraught with peril. Pokemon starting their journey within this nation start in the capital Asgrove, is a moderately sized, not very populous city built predominantly of black stone and defended by thick walls. It is well known for its lavish mausoleum. Most of its revenue comes from warfare. Lastly there is the western neighbor of the Grand Republic, The Twin Kingdom. The Twin sublings Latias and Latios rule this land benevolently, and the nation has flourished. The capital of Apwood is vast, and an overcrowded city near the coast best known as a cultural mecca. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in foreign trade, and it is considered notable for its yearly harvest festival. Pokemon starting their journey in The Twin Kingdom will start in a smallish, sparsely populated city built predominantly of stone. It is well known for its yearly harvest festival. Nidoran grew up with stories of how his great-grandfather was a Knight of the Kingdom. Taking this to heart at an early age, Nidoran began to attempt to live his life by the codes of chivalry. Now all alone, she ran away from the police and eventually met up with Jake; being adopted by him and training under him. He's also very in tune with how his younger companion feels, often adapting to her mood or trying to bring hers up. He feels very protective of and responsible for the Eevee in a similar manner to a brother or sister, but much more exaggerated at times, occasionally culminating in him trying to inspire her in odd ways. In addition, he's fairly introverted when it comes to meeting newer Pokemon, even if he doesn't show it. [b]Nation:[/b] The Grand Republic [b]Pokedex Number: [/b]447 [b]Special Trait:[/b] Inner Focus [b]Character History:[/b] Leo's a fairly young Pokemon who was born in a smaller suburb of Hyminster, his father a fisherman like many of the residents of the town. As such, his father taught him how to swim when he was the equivalent of 5 year old human, on the off chance he fell in the water and for the fun of it. One day, as Leo was chasing a small fish in the water, he saw a young Eevee slip into the water, and shot over to her as she cried out. Once she was out of the water, she clung to his side until he got her to her parents, busy fishing. Her mother had to work constantly, helping her father on the small fishing boats, along with with her older brother. Due to this, they never had much time for Amy, and she was never able to learn to swim, as they planned to teach her before she started to help them. . One day, she was out exploring the docks, pawing at the water on a particularly hot day. Of course, she leaned down to try and get a drink, but lost her footing and fell into the water. As she fell, she cried out, and heard a splash, not her own. She felt someone grab her, and she clinged as she was drug out of the water. A Riolu had saved, and she clinged to him since that day on. Now, he's planning to go out on an adventure, and she has no intentions of letting him leave her behind. [b]Personality: [/b]Amy, due to her young age and attitude, is very impressionable and clingy. When she's picked something up from someone, she tends to apply it however she needs to, just like her ability. When she feels ignored, she'll fuss until someone acknowledges her. However, is the response is negative, she has a nasty habit of trying to run away. She scares easily as well. Due to the traumatic experience she had, she's been fidgety around water and Water-type pokemon in general. She's normally skittish, but it gets worse the more she's around water. Most of the time, he's running around the jungles to hone his agility and climbing skills. He'll sometimes hunt in packs with other Pokemon and has learned how to coordinate with others despite his preference of being alone. Feelings of frustration have plagued him lately since he doesn't understand why he hasn't evolved into a Grovyle yet and figures he needs more experience in combat, so he's begun picking fights to level himself up, distancing himself from others in the process. Schmidt always challenges himself, whether it's through battling, hunting, or working on building a boat at night before bed for his eventual escape. His motto is that everyone needs some sort of goal to strive for and accomplish, and that one can never run out of goals in their lifetime. His mother died shortly after giving birth, leaving his father to raise him for seven years. After that amount of time had passed, his father was captured by a group of Arcanine on the police force that caught him robbing a supermarket for food. He kept trying to flee, which forced the Arcanine to use force, resulting in his death. Schmidt fled to the Wild Lands where he vowed never to return to the Commonwealth again and condemned the way its society is corrupt. He spent the next six years living on his own and hunting for food, slowly preserving his strength day by day. His dream is to find a way to cross the seas and escape from the land he's bound to. If he sees you have something he may want, and trust me, he always knows, he will become very buddy buddy to get it off you; and after giving you the ol’ Switcheroo, he’ll be off with little word and you minus your stuff; but at least you got a shiny charm worth very little money. But that does tend to be his downfall in some situations, as his greed is very difficult to control; and can lead him into very obvious traps. However, if that did occur, he would most likely be prepared with an [url=http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Icy_Wind]Icy Wind[/url] or blinding [url="http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Pay_Day"]Pay Day[/url] and make off whilst you’re distracted. This get away power he has causes him to be fairly cocky in the face of authority and superior firepower, as he always believes he'll get away. However, he has a blood hatred for Persians; something bred into him by his Mother. He doesn't know why he should hate them, but only that he should. To spite the breed, he wears an Everstone Bracer attached to his tail to prove he'll never choose to evolve (unless absolutely necessary). To sum Meowmar up, he’s a thief, and is good at what he does. He’s not a legendary thief, otherwise that would be in his title; no, he’s just good, and he’ll make damn sure you know he’s good. Course, by the time you’ve finished reading this you’ll probably notice that your wallet and/or purse is now missing. Guess what? You’ve just been Meowthed. [b]Nation: [/b]The Twin Kingdom [b]Pokedex Number: [/b]#52 [b]Special Trait: [/b][url="http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Pick-Up"]Pick-Up[/url] [b]Character History: [/b]Meowmar was born as a third generation thief in the Capital City Apwood, and considering it is thievery, that is a decent accomplishment. As per the new-old traditions of his family, he was trained at a young age by his Mother, a Meowth renowned for stealing her Husband's/breeding partner's name and a piece of the true Adamant Orb. That was nothing compared to his Grandaddy, who stole over one thousand Gems from a bank, with everyone looking at him. The tales of his incredible escape would bore you however. This puts a lot of expectations and pressure on him during his training, but, he did... well, enough. He wasn't his Mother or Grandfather, but he became a decent thief in his own right. He was sloppy in the act of stealing, however, it was his aptitude for learning unusual Moves that allowed him a getaway, using the likes of Icy Wind and Pay Day to make his escape. This skill with unusual move types was what made his Mother assume he was supposed to be a Technician Meowth instead of a Pick-Up. However, once he matured his looting improved and became much more effective, as after obtaining the move [url="http://pokemon.wikia.com/wiki/Switcheroo"]Switcheroo[/url] he gleefully robbed people in blind daylight without anyone batting an eye. Of course, he always leaves them a charm in exchange for their item, which is fair. It was after a successful looting day, his best ever in fact, that his Mother disappeared, and all that was left was an esoteric clue, and her Everstone Bracelet. Something was definitely up, she'd never give up her bracelet unless someone else forced it off her. Taking it for his own and as a reminder about her, the clue lead him to the as-of-yet named city well known for its spices.
