That's not exactly a shock, there's not much you can do I suppose... bit of a shame. I'm a guilty party in paying for a website and then not using it, but this is a bit different, he has an active site that is generating income. Surely the least he can do is check in every now and then, or at the VERY LEAST update the damn software so that everyone can enjoy his site without security worries.
-shrugs-
Guess some things never change. Oh, and you're Pika? That's cool. Hi there.

REPORT THEMJust posting here again as the influx of bots is really annoying me. I don't have a solution though, so I'm not quite sure why I'm bothering to post again.

REPORT THEM
I feel pretty ashamed at myself for not thinking of that, to be honest. Will do.
He should still solve the issue though. Not that he's going to.

And yes, the forum software does need to be updated, but that's something we can worry about after we can actually get an admin that does something.

And you think YCMaker will listen / consider adding another admin?

Of course not. That'd be far too logical. Wasn't Scott (Browarod) an administrator at some point or did I pick up some misinformation?

Nope, that never happened.
YCMaker did offer to give a bunch of us limited admin powers but that was months ago and he never followed through.
Ah, that's a shame. Would've been a good idea to solve issues such as this.

Enforcing the rules is one thing and a thing that I agree with, but being a total arrogant jerk while doing so is another.

It wouldn't be logical at all. And no he was not, you were misinformed.
You need to see it from his perspective, he has figured out that this site will thrive and make a hefty income for him whether he is present or not. He is manipulating the fact that the mods will continue to police this site regardless of his disappearance simply due to their devotion to the site and the friends they've made here. I believe his hiatus was merely a test to see what would happen without his presence, and last I checked this site is still in one piece correct? Now theoretically, he will continue to get his income without the need to exert any energy whatsoever. If you had the choice not to go to work, have multiple people do your job for you and enjoy it whilst still getting your income for not doing anything at all, would you still go to work?

Depends on if I enjoyed my job or not. I have a job at a music camp, Earthbeat, and we're usually overstaffed. So I have the choice not to go. Yet I still go. Why? Because I love doing it.It wouldn't be logical at all. And no he was not, you were misinformed.

The ONLY reason YCMaker doesnt do s*** here is because he literally doesnt give a rats ass about us.

Sorry, but it would be logical, from a webmaster perspective myself it would be. I'm suggesting him adding another admin if he can't be bothered to do it himself so the whole of your second paragraph is kinda redundant to the point I'm making here. Fair enough, he has no reason to, I didn't say that he believed he had any reason to do so. I'm saying that for the sake of us he should. There are simple administrative tasks that need to be performed and he's neglecting them simply because he knows, as you say, his income will still be made regardless. In his mind, I'm sure he doesn't give a s***. I'm just saying that he should.

By electing another admin, would that not being jeopardizing his entire fortune? That would be giving far too much power to a single other person, someone he does not actually know. What's to say this admin doesn't blow it all whenever he so desires, nothing.

Which is funny because the current staff already has all the tools they need to destroy this site (or at least make it a terrible experience for everyone involved)
