Took somewhere between 4-5 hours to complete, straight nonetheless.

It's been a long journey showcase, 4 long years.

Colors, BG, everything really was scratched using the mouse and still using f***ing GIMP.

Without getting too dramatic, cnc.

Also;

high nov - low low mod. Work on your atmosphere and colours. The whole sig feels washed out.

In this thread, posted about 2 years ago.

If I was "low low mod" (which is total bullshit he was just being kind, haha) back then I'd love to see what I am now.

Kinda seems like work of Salvador Dali, which is not bad at all.
It does seem a little LQ and choppy at points but I kinda like it.
I except that in the bottom is a ray of light coming from that "submarine", as I'm gonna call it. I think you could maybe make the ray stand out more, add some more light and yellow to it, maybe make some kind of shark or other sea creature go past it.
Just a random concept my head made up, but nice work neverthless.

Not sure what's up with the two little flares in the spotlight thing. Lighting-wise, I have no clue where that could come from without messing up perspective in the lighting.

I included it only because as it was, just the ray, It looked as if it wasn't attached onto the sub, so I put it over it to make more sense.
Regardless, I really need to move on to PS. It's been a good run with GIMP, but my quality could be monumentally better.

Not bad. Digging colors and atmo. I'd like to see the piece developed further. The only thing that bothers me are those white particles.
How do you get those colors though? Like what adjustments or tools do you use?

So true. That's relatively why I never got started on pr.
The classing was meant as a joke for the most part, but I'm just curious to see how far I've improved.

As for the colours, it's basically painting with the mouse, using a palette consisting of about 25+ colours alternating every so often while using 3-4 custom brushes I made using the bullshit gimp brush maker.
I also set the tone of the brush down to about 2-3% opacity, giving that textured look.

As for the painting really surprised you didn't use a drawing tablet but hey ho.

I can't say anything at all but it's just personal opinion but, I feel it might have looked a little bit better with more lighting on the weed type things, (Ignore the lacking of scientific wording.)

Anyone that can do scratch work, at least competently, does deserve some praise, at least in my eyes. I'm digging all the textures and shades created by the colors.

Nice colours but the shapes are ehhhh. doing shapes just make sure everything's clear and all the edges are straightly done. Detail the seaweed a bit more and give a texture to the sea, perhaps reflections would work.
