The whole 10% of the brain thing isn't sound science, y'know. We use more than that merely lying down and doing nothing. Just saying; I'm not a fan of people using false science to justify things like that. But meh, not up to me.

Really, and the whole time I thought we only used 10% of our brains. Well thank you for enlightening me DWG.  :D

Looks like someone's been watching too much Simpsons and not enough Mythbusters ;)

Anyways, onto my app.

Name: Terra Montana
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Personality: Terra likes to try and focus her mind on the happy thoughts, because sad thoughts are bad for her defective heart. In fact, sad feelings cause Terra's heart to decelerate slowly, but surely, and to a point where it won't beat quickly enough to provide blood to her vital organs; meaning they shut down and she dies. Plus it beats slowly enough as it is; the resting pace of Terra's heart is 28 beats per minute, and no matter what she does, even if she pushes herself to the limit of her stamina, she can never get it to beat more than 35. Because of this, Terra is often regarded as some sort of athlete, but while she does her best to keep fit, she remains adamant that she's not that fit. However, there's one thing that sets Terra's heart decelerating even more than sadness; her cyrophobia. The mere sight of a snowstorm or a glacier or whatever is enough for Terra to become paralyzed with fear, and as such, she refuses to capture Ice-type Pokemon or teach her Pokemon Ice-type moves. However, Terra tends to specialize in Ground-type or Rock-type Pokemon, and is especially fond of her Rhyperior. This strikes people as odd considering Rhyperior isn't a girl's type of Pokemon, but Terra has always been tomboyish in nature... after all she was raised by only her father.
Appearance: At the moment, Terra stands at around 5' 6", and has a solid medium build. Judging by the six-pack abs and the rather thick thighs, one can tell that Terra works out regularly. Her long, [acronym='NOT silver, the lying bastards at Safebooru...']dark honeydew[/acronym] hair is tied into a ponytail at the back by a thin hair-tie. While outdoors, Terra can often be seen wearing hiking boots on her feet, but although she takes them off outside, she often ends up walking in bare feet while inside any building, even in public places such as PokeMarts or PokeCenters. Fine hairs can be seen on Terra's arms and legs, but they're so fine that they're hardly noticeable.
762ad1720c2e52c34545a8430f883712c6762019
Bio: Bringing Terra Montana into this world was the last thing her mother could do, before she had lost her life and hour later due to a defective heart. Unfortunately, Terra was born with the same problem, and her father had no choice but to leave her at the hospital to take care of for the first five years of her life; the better for her safety. While she was there though, Terra learnt a great deal about her family history; she even found out the genesis of her defective heart. It turned out that Terra's mother had inherited it from her own mother, who received it from her father before her, and then his father before him. The average life span of the four was only approximately 30 years of age, which had deeply worried Terra, to the point where her heart was starting to decelerate greatly. Thankfully, the doctors had quickly found Terra and managed to help her recover before things got serious. Terra was 4 years old at the time, and she was released from the hospital to be with her father the next year.

One day, at the age of 7, Terra was playing outside on a ranch where her father worked when all of a sudden, a wild Diglett had popped up from out of nowhere. Terra decided that it was cute, and wanted to play a little game of whack-a-mole with it, chasing it around with a toy mallet. That was the start of Terra's bond with the wild Diglett, which had since become so strong that when it came around to her 10th birthday, she insisted that same Diglett be her initial partner. Her father argued that she should do what most trainers did and go to the nearest lab to get her first Pokemon, but was quick to lose the debate. And so, Terra ventured the world with her Diglett... after a training lesson from her father of course. He didn't want her to get into trouble without knowing how to battle. Instead, unfortunately, Terra somehow managed to get into trouble before she could even captured a Pokemon with her very first Pokeball. 'Twas a very bad day indeed.

A cave that was home to many Diglett and Dugtrio was being breached by a Team Purity Commander with a Gyarados, and Terra's Diglett wanted to defend its brethren, and thus engaged the Gyarados all on its own. Of course, the Commander was expecting Terrakion to come to defend, but thinking the Diglett to be a breeze. But it wasn't. Instead, the battle ended up being a David and Goliath type of battle. Eventually Gyarados had the upper hand due to natural type advantage, but it and its trainer were so absorbed into the battle that they both failed to see a late arriving Terrakion coming, resulting in it KOing the Gyarados in one fell swap. Not having any additional Pokemon at the time, the Commander retreated back to base, and Terra, amazed with the Cavern Pokemon's sheer strength, wanted to capture it. Terrakion however, convinced that she wasn't strong enough as a trainer, declined the challenge and left, but not before giving Terra a low-down on the situation.

Five years had passed since Terra's first sighting of the Rock-type Musketeer. She'd grown much stronger as a trainer, and had captured a Baltoy, a Gible, a Gligar, a Larvitar, a female Nidoran, a Rhyhorn, a Sandile and a Shellos, and evolved them all into their fully evolved forms. But there was still no sign of Terrakion. Of course, Terra had realized that it would come to the defence of Pokemon that had lost their homes, but it wasn't in her to terrorize a Pokemon colony like the Commander did. However, speaking of which, Terrakion was being attacked by the same Commander as last time, but this time the guy had brought some Grunts with him. This time, it was Terra's turn to be the hero, sending out Garchomp and Tyranitar to overthrow all the Grunts and Commander, before nursing Terrakion back to health. As a token of gratitude, Terrakion had chosen Terra to be its guardian. However, Terra still had to fight the Cavern Pokemon, and used Rhyperior as her battling Pokemon. Rhyperior managed to burn Terrakion through spamming Fire Punch, and Terra was quick to throw an Ultra Ball at it. The first attempt failed, with Terrakion just managing to break free on the third shake, but the next Ultra Ball managed a perfect capture. Five years Terra had been waiting, and at that moment, the Rock-type Musketeer was finally in her hands.

Pokémon: Claydol (Genderless/Levitate/Psychic/Earth Power/Signal Beam/Rapid Spin)
Dugtrio (Female/Arena Trap/Earthquake/Stone Edge/Sucker Punch/Aerial Ace)
Garchomp (Female/Sand Veil/Outrage/Earthquake/Fire Fang/Swords Dance)
[acronym="The East Sea one"]Gastrodon[/acronym] (Male/Storm Drain/Muddy Water/Earth Power/Sludge Wave/Recover)
Gliscor (Male/Poison Heal/Sky Attack/Earthquake/Stone Edge/Fire Fang)
Krookodile (Male/Anger Point/Earthquake/Foul Play/Fire Fang/Bulk Up)
Nidoqueen (Female/Sheer Force/Earthquake/Poison Jab/Aqua Tail/Thunder Punch)
Rhyperior (Male/Solid Rock/Rock Wrecker/Earthquake/Fire Punch/Stealth Rock)
Terrakion ([acronym="For the purposes of this RP though, let's just assume it's a MAN!! Just cause I can't imagine it being female.']Genderless[/acronym]/Justified/Close Combat/Stone Edge/Zen Headbutt/X-Scissor)
Tyranitar (Male/Sand Stream/Stone Edge/Crunch/Earthquake/Dragon Dance)
Other: Dugtrio follows Terra around wherever she goes, and doesn't return to a Pokeball because it had never been captured in one. Instead, Dugtrio burrows deep underground when Terra is using another Pokemon to battle, only to pop back up when he is summoned or the battle is over.

Terra's Krookodile is pretty much the same as Ash's; it wears sunglasses, and will stop to retrieve them in the event that they get knocked off, even in the midst of battle.

Garchomp appears to be Terra's strongest Pokemon, besides Terrakion of course. It is also the only female in Terra's team beside Nidoqueen and Dugtrio.
Name: Lukas Verone

Age: 25

Gender: male

Personality: Lukas is not a people person. He can deal with them, but beyond that, he wants almost no interaction. He has only found one person he liked, Rebecca, and he loved her like a sister. He rather enjoys the company of his Pokémon, as he finds them interesting and without human flaws. He loves them more than life itself, and would die to save them. He loves his Togekiss, since he and the Pokemon were raised together, at the same time. He refuses to use Pokéballs unless totally necessary, in which case he uses a luxury ball. He hasn't had to use one ever. His only concern is finding Rebecca, besides his Pokemon.

Appearance: (Sorry, can't post pic:http://browse.deviantart.com/art/Blonde-boy-176602276) Lukas likes to wear T-Shirts of plain colors, or maybe with some graphic design on it if he wants. He wears jeans and a necklace with a fragment of his Togepi's egg.
Lukas was left out on an island in what used to be Sinnoh when he was just a child. The mother had died given birth, and the father was dying of terminal disease when the baby was just a young child. The father didn't want his sister, who had tried to steal all his money, to inherit the child, so he took the family Pokemon to a small forest where he knew kind Pokemon lived, and left the child there. A young Togetic found him, and decided to raise him as her own. On the same day, her eggs hatched, and the nameless baby crawled over to one of the Togepis. They snuggled up together, and spent the night together. Eventually, the boy grew up with the Togepis, learning how to communicate with Pokemon as well as humans. He eventually had to leave the group when he was 13, as well as all his now Togetic adopted brothers and sisters. The Togetic he had befriended had stayed with him, and she traveled with him on his journey. Right before he left, his "mother" handed him a necklace with part of his Togetic's shell attached. He hasn't taken it off since.

While journeying, he met a girl, just seven years old, wandering aimlessly, abandoned. She introduced herself as Rebecca, and the boy decided to call himself Lukas. The two became inseparable, working together to earn money through Pokemon battles. It was them against the world. Nothing could have been nicer. But then, as it always does during the happy times, tragedy, in the form of Team Purity, struck.

Rebecca was taken by a grunt while Lukas slept, and taken away. Lukas still searches for her to this day. While he was crying in his rage and anger at himself, he considered ending it all, killing himself. While he was searching for a cliff, he saw a bright light descending upon him, in the form of Jirachi. The two bonded quickly, and Jirachi promised to stay with him to help him, and to help Togetic too, since Togetic had loved Rebecca too. When he found out about the tournament, he decided to go, and find out whatever he could about Rebecca.

I would've done that for ya Renegade...but been busy with tests and studyin..._-_

It's becoming annoying

No problem. I too have tests and quizzes all this week and it is becoming tedious, so I totally understand. That coupled with Driver's Ed is making my life hell at the moment. Good news: Just need Virizion's character before we can start. I am going to keep allowing people to join as the RP goes through though.

I think I will make a third app, actually. A team purity commander(Is it military ranks? Cos I'll find a suitable one) and a sort of lieutenant-ish subordinate for him. I'll start working on them tomorrow.

It goes Grunt->Colonel->Lieutenant->Major. Sounds great!
Name: Robert Elias

Rank: Colonel

Age: 67

Gender: Male

Personality: An incredibly evil and sinister individual Dr. Elias views the whole world as a place of stasis where everything has ceased to evolve or change. Despising this he wishes to set the world back into “motion” by kick starting the human brain, so that humans are able to use 100% of their brains. Elias thinks this of his “New World Order”, and views himself as a philanthropist. Elias can be seen as a sadist as he seems to take pleasure in causing pain and torturing people going so far as to brutally torture children to further his research. Elias adheres to the Machiavellian principal “the end justifies the means” to heart, and will stop at nothing to realize his dream. Though he is not easily angered, Dr. Elias can be provoked when people interfere with his plan for a “New World Order”.  An apathetic man Dr. Elias finds it difficult to relate to the problems of other people, and views emotions as trivial nuisances that will only get in his way, and intends to abolish them in his “New World Order”.  The doctor is not restricted by the moral codes of the common people, and views himself above them.

Among Team Purity Dr. Elias is generally avoided due to the fact that he, very bluntly, scares the living sh*t out of most other members. He sees most all of the other members, save a select few, as useless baggage, not only having no standard for them, but expects them to come pleading to him for help. He cares little for the goals of Team Purity, but sees them more of a sponsor than anything else, and goes so far as to actually wanting to save some legendary Pokemon that he thinks could benefit his research. Moira Von Schroder is one of the only members he is well acquainted with, mostly due to fact that she is interested in science as much as he, but often gets in arguments with the woman due to the fact that while she technically outranks him as a Major, but he outranks her as a Director of the R&D Department. Though the two do not often disagree, things can quickly become a matter of who should be ordering who around were, and were each of their jurisdiction is.

As a viscous a Trainer as he is a man Elias pushes his Pokemon to the very limit, and further. His tactics are well thought out, but are lacking in finesse relying on brute force. Elias uses moves that power his Pokemon’s Attack stat to beat his opponents into submission, while at the same time combines strategy analyzing the abilities of his Pokemon, and pairing them with moves which complement those abilities. Elias’ strategy leaves little place for openings stringing attacks together quickly to end the match in a few moves.

Appearance: Elias has a pale complexion blemished with liver spots here and there. He has shrewd, emerald green eyes that seem to dance around a room never staying in one spot and can be compared to the likeness of a rodent. He wears oval glasses, which he often keeps in his coat pocket, for his near-sightedness. He has narrow angular feathers, and a long pointy nose, which only extenuates his rodent-like features. Elias’s greying almost white hair is worn in a fashion similar to the Team Galactic Commander Carron. To appear weak and frail the doctor walks around with an elaborate kane topped by the Pokeball of his most trusted Pokemon Slaking.   He wears a white lab coat, which is kept buttoned in the center; the only part of his top showing is a velvet purple ascot. Elias wears brown slacks, and black loafers to complete his outfit.

Bio: Much of Elias’s early life is unknown except for the fact that he was born before the Merge, and that was not always the way he was now. At a young age he was a happy-go-lucky boy who loved his Pokemon, a Slakoth. It can be suspected that it could have been the death of his parents that turned him into the monster he is now, but not much is known about their passing either, except for the fact that they passed when Elias was 13. In college he majored  in Human and Pokemon Anatomy, Biology, and Chemistry.

At the age of 25 he was hired by Team Rocket as a scientist and put on the Mew Project. Dr. Elias was actually responsible for the creation of Ditto, which were failed Mew clones, but doesn’t wish to take pride in this due to the fact that he views the Pokemon as a failure and a disgrace. To this day Dr. Elias still becomes disgusted when he sees a Ditto. Due to not producing enough results he was fired by Giovanni, which would end up saving his life as a month later Mewtwo was created killing everyone who was in the lab. Furious Elias held a grudge against Giovanni, but all the same went to hide out in one of the secret Rocket Labs using fear to control the resident scientists and grunts to make sure he was not found out.

When Giovanni disbanded Team Rocket and the new executives took over 2 years later Elias was reinstated as the Rocket Scientist, but all too soon it was over with Rocket defeat at the Goldenrod Tower. Exhausting what remained of Rocket’s funds Elias continued his research of the human brain using actual people (they were not always cadavers) for live models. After the Team Rocket funds ran out Elias travel the globe seeking sponsors for his research, but was eventually found to have connections to Team Rocket. With his credibility destroyed Elias was forced to run from the law avoiding capture, and dropping off the radar until the Magma incident. As it turns out Elias had found funding in the form of Team Magma, on the condition he help awaken Groudon. Needless to say they succeeded, and again to avoid arrest Elias dropped off the radar returning to Rocket Base Omega.

It was not until 10 years later that Elias remerged when acquired four infants, which he named Shaela, Keenan, Marc, and Antonia who would become his greatest achievements. The names were not given out of affection, but to erase what little identity the children might have had. Subjecting the children to painful procedures Elias manipulated their genes, as during his 10 year hiatus Elias discovered a naturally occuring gene humans that allowed them to use psychic abilities. It was present in only a few individuals, and in even fewer individuals could actually manifest due to the fact there was a gene which inhibited these abilities as well. Unfortunately the removal of this gene caused the eye and hair color of the children to become unnatural. To test them Elias would put the children through rigorous training sessions, which often involved the children having to subdue a Pokemon with their powers, which was never good for either party involved. Not accepting failure Elias would beat the children with an electric whip should they fail. At the age of 15 though the children escaped. One of them, Shaela, used her psychic abilities to influence a Dragonite to attack and destroy the base allowing the children to slip away presuming Elias dead.

2 years later though he was able to recapture the children, and again subjected them his will this time using mind control to influence them. With their undying loyalty Elias attempted use their powers to capture Celebi, but was again foiled when the kids broke free from their mind control with the help of Celebi. Again Elias’s base was destroyed, and he would have died, but fortunately for him was placed in a temporal stasis when the base was destroyed. For the next year and a half Elias remained in stasis until he was revived 6 months ago by Team Purity who acknowledged his renown in the science world. Upon being recruited Elias rose from a grunt scientist to a Colonel in a matter of a few days, and a month later placed as Director of the Team Purity R&D Department.

Second App, again let me know if anything needs changing.

The time frames don't exactly match up with his age and the 50 year span of destruction, seeing as he was 17 when The Merge happened, but that is just a minor point and won't have any real effect on the RP. So accepted!

Whereas in the real military, Colonel is actually above Major. Though if you wanna keep it as is, that's fine.

Anyway, I'll make another reserve as a Team Purity dude. Not sure what rank I want atm.

Yeah I know, but Major just sounds so much more...powerful? Anywho, it is just an RP, so doesn't really matter.

Since I developed a recent interest in Pokemon, I will join. I haven't been quite active in the forum lately, but times change and all. I'm a long time RPer, so I have some credentials to present, if needed. I'll be reasonably active for my part, and won't take leaves of more than a day without warning first.

...that said, I will have to submit my applications tomorrow, because now I'm half-asleep. I have two characters in mind, a regular Trainer and a Guardian. The Legendary Pokemon affiliated with my Guardian would be Virizion (it's my favorite Legendary of Gen V, and since it's needed anyway...). I have a decent storyline idea for her. Question - is it alright to have a Trainer who is / used to be a Gym Leader?

That came up in the old version, and unless your character's about 70 or so (thereby being 20 at the merge) they wouldn't be able to be, cos there's no gyms now. But it's not my call, it's Renegade who needs to talk about all the nit-picks like that.

I think my upper guy'll be a lieutenant if they are the ranks then. Former military's okay, right?

Looks like someone's been watching too much Simpsons and not enough Mythbusters ;)

It's funny cos Mythbusters is where I first learnt it from. The whole MRI thing they did.

Alright then, here is my application for my first character (Virizion's Guardian). Next will be up after this one gets accepted.
Name: Rivere (pronounced "ri-vear", most people mispronounce it as "river") Sage

Age: 28

Gender: Female

Personality: Rivere is a kind-hearted and caring woman. She grew up in a flower store, and came to love all natural life. She is protective of humans and Pokemon alike, but especially Grass-type Pokemon, which she was raised around. She follows a calm and steady pace, and even in battles she will strive to protect both her and the opponent's Pokemon from harm as much as possible. In her interactions with others, she is polite and kind, always trying to help when somebody has a problem. Rivere always likes to offer her assistance in Pokemon Centers and other places where Pokemon and people in need are catered for.

Appearance: Rivere is rather tall, featuring rich, long auburn hair in a smooth, wavy pattern that climb down halfway to her waist. Her figure is toned and athletic from all the time spent walking and hiking across the countryside. Her eyes are a deep brown color. Her dressing style is tailored for ease of travelling, mostly consisting of plain, comfortable clothes. She arrived on Archanum Island in a dark green blouse, a divided brown skirt suitable for riding, a brown leather coat, a pair of black hiking boots, and a set of scarf, gloves and cap. The latter comprise Rivere's own fashion touch to her otherwise practical dress code. The fingerless gloves she wears are black, minus a white symbol on the back. Her scarf is fully white white, divided by black horizontal and vertical lines into a chessboard-like pattern. Her cap is red, with the front side being white.

Bio: (Former) Verdanturf Town was Rivere's birthplace, and where she spent most of her life up until she was 16 years old. As an area far from Hoenn's beachfront, Verdanturf survived the Merge with relatively little damage, which caused a lot of refugees from all over Hoenn to flock to the little town. Rivere's parents, then only children, who had lost their own parents in the disaster, were amongst them. Slowly, Verdanturf grew into a sizeable city. Rivere's parents opened a flower store, which doubled as a care center for Grass-type Pokemon, which thrived in the nearby grasslands. They taught Rivere, their only daughter, how to nurture both flowers and Pokemon. It was there that she obtained her first Pokemon, when she was 14 years old - a baby injured Budew that she nursed back to health.

As the years went by, though, Rivere sensed that there were people and Pokemon out there who needed her help more. When she was 16, she got permission from her parents to go on a journey - a journey that would change her forever. Her father gave her a Grotle, which he had owned since it was a Turtwig, to protect her. Along with Budew and Grotle, Rivere began travelling around former Hoenn. She met and caught many Pokemon, although she only caught those who accepted her as their Trainer, including a Beautifly she helped evolve from a Silcoon, and a Paras. She mostly gravitated towards Grass-type Pokemon, but one day, she found a forest being terrorized by a fire-starting Pokemon. When she investigated, she discovered a young Vulpix which was too small and terrified and couldn't control its flames. Rivere helped calm it down, and the baby fox Pokemon grew attached to her and followed her ever since.

On more than one occasion, Rivere had to fight against wild Pokemon, or other Trainers who saw opportunities in the chaotic world to fulfill their own, egotistical desires. During those battles, her Budew evolved into Roselia, and her Paras evolved into Parasect. After resolving a conflict between a colony of Seedot, Nuzleaf, Shiftry, and a group of Lotad, Lombre and Ludicolo who wanted to migrate into the former's region, she caught a young Lotad and Seedot, who were too stubborn and wanted to continue fighting - Rivere offered them the chance to remain friendly rivals and become stronger, which they accepted.

Rivere proceeded to become even stronger as a trainer, capturing a Tropius and a Deerling that had lost its way into Hoenn. She also evolved most of their Pokemon to their final forms, training them to be independent and helpful. One day, she thought she saw a shadow of an antelope-like Pokemon. Curious, she followed it, and it led her to a secret spot in the forest where a precious treasure was hidden - a Water, Fire, and Leaf Stone, evolutionary stones that were very hard to find in the world. The creature that had led her there disappeared, but Rivere used the stones to evolve her Lombre into Ludicolo, her Nuzleaf into Shiftry, and her Vulpix into Ninetales.

A few years later, Rivere had become renowned across Hoenn and even other areas as a kind trainer dedicated to protecting Pokemon from harm. It was then when she encountered a huge forest fire, caused by a group of people who wanted to clear out new land to expand their cities. Rivere pleaded with them to stop, arguing that destroying part of the natural environment would only cause more harm than good, but they were relentless, blinded by greed. They ordered their wide range of Fire Pokemon to continue burning the forest, and subdue any resistance. Rivere tried to fight them, but there were too many, and they quickly overwhelmed her.

At that time, a Pokemon appeared before her, a Pokemon she had only seen as a shadow. As its form became clear, Rivere recognized, to her shock, the legendary Pokemon she thought existed only as a myth - Virizion, the noble Sword of Justice. With a roar, Virizion caused most of the enemy Pokemon to retreat. The heroic Pokemon then teamed up with Rivere to put out the fires and save the endangered Pokemon. After the forest was saved, Virizion challenged Rivere to a battle. Though it defeated her Ninetales, Tropius and Beautifly, it tired itself out enough in the process to eventually succumb to her Roselia. Accepting her strength, Virizion agreed to join her, and gave her a Shiny Stone with which she evolved Roselia into Roserade. Since then, they have been travelling together. Even though she has technically captured Virizion, Rivere never constricts it inside its Pokeball nor does she use it in battle - she is content to let it roam free, knowing that it will come to her when either of them is in need.

She always keeps a supply of Berries handy, that she will offer after each battle to quickly treat her opponent's Pokemon. However, she is capable of going into an all-out offense as well, mostly against those who wish to cause harm.

Looks good. Glad to have you! No credentials needed. I've read quite a bit of your works :D

As for you question with Gym Leaders, sure go ahead. After thinking about it, I decided that there would probably new gyms after The Merge so yeah go ahead, should be interesting.

On another note, who haven't I gotten too?

Well, I decided not to go with the old Gym Leader idea after all. I did keep the aged character concept, though. Random question - will it be possible to have our Pokemon evolve during the RP? Have something planned for this guy.
Name: Jackson (he doesn't remember his last name)

Age: 85

Gender: Male

Personality: Jackson is a bit rough around the edges, his personality molded from the hardships of his past life. He exudes a commanding presence, and is used to being respected and obeyed. Unfortunately, he is rather quick to rile up, and can be easily goaded into a fight, although he is more prone to using his Pokemon to do the "arguing" than his 80-plus-year-old muscles now. When he is calm, he is rather easy-going, and will gladly share stories of his adventures. He is an honorable man and fiercely insists on fair fights.

Appearance: Jackson is a towering beast of a man, standing over 2 meters tall. His skin is tough and weathered from the years. He has a mane of white hair, and a short white beard. He has piercing black eyes, hidden under thick brows. He possesses a muscular physique, a result of decades of hard labor. Although his choice of clothing is varied, it usually consists of a dark blue shirt and black trousers, coupled with a black overcoat. He is usually seen wearing his old captain's hat, and sometimes even smoking a pipe.

Bio: If you were to ask him, the first thing Jackson remembers in his life is getting caught stealing food from a docked ship. He doesn't remember the name of the town, how he got there, or what he had been doing until then. He does remember, though, the captain of the ship, Norwell Jackson, who caught him stealing his wares. Instead of punishing him or delivering him to the authorities, the old captain took him under his wing, gave him his last name and put him hard to work in his shop. Thus, young Jackson spent ten long years travelling around the world, learning the ways of the seafarer.

But eventually, old captain Jackson passed away, and his apprentice was left to fend for himself. It was then that he began putting all the knowledge he had acquired to good use. Through the years of traversing the world's seas, he had stockpiled great value as a guide and a cartographer, talents which helped him earn money and prestige. Eventually, he had enough to hire his own crew, and build a ship to call his own.

Till then, Jackson's experiences with Pokemon had not been particularly impressive. He had worked with several Pokemon on the ship, and encountered a lot more during his journeys - he had seen many different species from all over the world, but that was all. This all changed during one of his journeys. His ship was docked in a city, and he had sent his crew off to enjoy a free day. He himself was about to leave the ship, when a loud roar, coupled with noises of panic and uproar, sent him jolting up. He rushed to the deck to witness something he still describes as the scariest thing he's seen in his entire life. A humongous Gyarados, towering over ten times his ship's tallest mast, had just emerged in the distance, and was rapidly making its way to the coastline.

Jackson stood there, frozen. He knew he had to react somehow, but at the same time, he had no idea what he could do that might save anyone, or even himself for that matter. So he stood and watched as death approached. And at that moment, something landed hard beside him on the deck.

It was a Mantine, Jackson noted, a fish Pokemon with the ability to both fly and swim, often used for transportation. This one was larger than usual, and was carrying a sole passenger - a man dressed in white coat, with green hair and a confident smirk. The man briefly thanked Jackson for letting him use his ship as a landing platform, before turning his attention to the incoming danger.

With a flourish of his coat, the mysterious arrival released three Pokeballs into the air, which opened to unleash three different Pokemon into the surging waves. Jackson instantly recognized them as Milotic, Sharpedo, and Walrein, three powerful evolved aquatic Pokemon. However, even the three of them together seemed no match for the gigantic Gyarados. But when the battle began, Jackson realized he was wrong.

The trainer who appeared commanded attack after attack with impeccable grace and focus, despite the fact that the boat was rocking all over. When the giant Gyarados turned to them, enraged, and began charging a massive Hyper Beam, he calmly ordered the three to use Ice Beam, which froze the Pokemon's head almost entirely, causing it to stop dead in its tracks. They followed up with combined Blizzard attacks, which caused the sea itself to begin turning to solid ice. Seeing the waves in front of it freeze, the wild Gyarados, after managing to free itself, gave out one last enraged howl and turned back, diving into the ocean.

The trainer quickly recalled his Pokemon and departed, but the battle had been a huge inspiration for Jackson, who now desired to become a Pokemon trainer. He decided to combine this with his seafaring exploits, and soon became a skilled user of mostly Water and Flying Pokemon. However, this was not to last, for one day, while he was out in the sea, a massive tremor tore through the whole world. It lasted for a long time, and it felt as if the very world around them was moving. Jackson's ship was torn apart, and he found himself drowning. His last thoughts were of regret, for his crewmates and his Pokemon, which would be doubtlessly lost in the maelstrom.

Jackson woke up several days later, greatly shocked to still be alive. It turned out he had been rescued by a wild Corphish, which had stumbled upon him as it was trying to escape the chaos, and had carried him in its strong claws all the way to a remote island, to weather out the storm. Jackson quickly befriended the crab Pokemon, but he knew he couldn't stay in the island for long. With Corphish's help, he built a makeshift raft, and after also getting a Wingull and a Chinchou to join them, he set out to brave the sea.

The world he returned to, though, after a long, exhausting journey, was not the world he had left. A massive earthquake, allegedly caused by the legendary Pokemon Groudon's rage, had caused the entire continents to shift, resulting in the face of the planet changing forever.

In this new world, Jackson's skills of navigation and exploration were very much needed and valuable. He immediately offered his services, and began charting the new world's seas and coastlines. Along the way, he sought to fulfill his old dream of becoming an accomplished Pokemon trainer. Along with his Corphish, Chnchou and Wingull, he captured a Wailmer, which he began using for transportation, a Shellder and a Seismitoad. During one of his journeys he also befriended a Fighting-type Hariyama, and even a rare Dragon-type Pokemon, Deino. When he was lost in a cave, he befriended a Golbat which helped him find his way out, and a Bronzor, which Jackson helped escape after it was trapped by a mass of falling rocks.

Jackson became rather renowned, having contributed a lot to the exploration and mapping of the world after the Merge. He also became a prominent Pokemon trainer - most of the Pokemon he had befriended evolved quickly, and remained obedient to him. 30 years after the Merge, he finally retired, and turned his attention towards raising his Pokemon and living out his life. It was only much later, that an invitation to a certain tournament would shake him out of his peace and quiet.
Name: Rebecca Lamsing

Rank: Lieutenant

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Personality: Rebecca feels like there is something missing. She will sometimes walk into a room that was empty to talk to someone who wasn't there, and can never figure out why. Other than that, she is cold and calculating, though of she had a mom org regain, she would restore her bubbly, sweet personality. Right now, she does what has to be done and doesn't question it. Se never doubts her commander, and that's why she has risen so quickly in the ranks.

Appearance: http://browse.deviantart.com/art/Flower-Girl-252089284

Bio: Rebecca was born into a motherless family with an alcoholic father. One day she had had enough of the abuse and her uncaring father, and ran away, when she was six. She was alone, with no one but her Duskull to accompany her. For about 3 months, she wandered, accepting meals from wherever she could get them and eating berries when she found them. Her life all changed, for the better, when she met the only person in her life that would care for her. Lukas.

The two of them were unstoppable. She quickly got more Pokémon, but the only one she kept on her was her Duskull. He fed her, and she learned how to speak with Pokemon, only on a crude basis, though. She was loving what was happening, and hoped nothing would ever change. Too bad it did.

Rebecca had no Pokemon on her while she slept, besides her now evolved Dusclops. A team of Team Purity trainers saw the young girl and decided to test a new memory altering drug on her, to see if they could kidnap random trainers so they could be used in the cause. It worked, and now Rebecca has been assigned to the tournament, because of her skill in Pokemon battling, which she learned from Lukas.

I would encourage you to go back over this and fix any spelling mistakes as well as maybe add a little bit more detail. It seems kinda choppy and vague

Name: Eon(true name unknown)

Rank: Leader

Age: 52

Gender: Male

Personality: Eon has a vision. A vision where the world is without imbalance. A vision where the world is free of oppressions. He has a vision of purity. Or at least what he considers purity. Being the leader of Team Purity, Eon's personality is the very embodiment of Team Purity's goal. He seeks hungrily to achieve this vision of his, and while he may claim that it is for the greater good, like all good villains he has alterior motives.

Eon demands respect from all those under him and will punish anyone that does not see it fit to give it to him. He is quick to anger and rarely thinks anything through. He has his goals, his dreams, and his visions and then he rushes blindly towards them. He has managed to get where he is through luck and skill and is only able to rule through a combination of the two and the added bonus of fear. He is a man that is willing to do anything to get what he wants.

He has been known to use his fists on his own Pokemon, that have grown to be nearly feral because of this treatment. Their fear of him is the only thing that keeps them in line.

In battle, Eon is vicious. He is reckless and takes unnecessary risks, but the sheer power of his Pokemon make up for the lack of skill. It is clear that his Pokemon resent him, but they dare not speak out, for fear of punishment. The only Pokemon that seems to like him is his Shiny Eevee that is constantly seen on his shoulder.

Appearance: Eon wears a black cloak, but under it he sports a tight fitting, leather outfit. This style is nearly medieval, looking very much like the Pokemon Rangers of old, with a color shift to black. Around his belt, Eon sports not 6, but 7, ultra balls. Being the leader of an evil organization, he does not care too much about breaking the law that states you can only carry 6 Pokeballs.

Eon's hair has told silver. It is style carefully, spiking slightly in layers. His slightly aged face is free of facial hair. Eon has pale blue eyes that are usually seen staring at nothing. When not doing anything, Eon's mind usually wanders, causing a blank like expression to appear on his face.

Eon is fairly short, but wear's stacked boots to make himself appear larger than he actually is. He is fairly muscular, using his fists to occasionally beat subordinates that don't directly follow orders, or just catch him on a bad day.

Bio: Little is known about Eon's life. It is common knowledge that Eon's mother died due to The Merge when he was only 2. Never getting to really know his mother twisted Eon's mind. He believed that the existence of any Legendary Pokemon threatened the existence of mankind and thus formed the organization of Team Purity at the age of 18. Back then, it was little more than a gang, but since has been growing in power. Somehow, it has managed to keep a fairly low profile. Of course, their activity has been noticed, but no one is exactly clear of their motives or if they are truly dangerous or not.

Pokémon

Eon carries with him 8 Pokemon. This is an obvious violation of laws regarding the carrying of loaded Pokeballs, but being a criminal, Eon doesn't particularly care.
