So Merciful, when are you planning to get this Crossover started?

Once everyone has made their entry and all the apps are completed~ I think I'll give it about a week. If you look at the 'Accepted Apps' list on the front page, it's still pretty small by my standards xD

Making one from an anime, I can't make a decision with my past characters.

[spoiler=Schwarz Bruder]

"A serene state of mind..."

Username: Enrise

Name: Schwarz Bruder (Kyoji Kashu)

Age: 28

Gender: Male

[spoiler=Appearance:]

tumblr_m61zk678sa1qk7ej1o1_500.jpg

Origin: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Schwarz_Bruder

Biography: Created from the last of Kyoji Kashu's free will, he is an android replicating Kyoji's physical features and was sent to look after Domon. During the semi-final round of the Gundam Fight against Burning Gundam, he was defeated by Domon and was revealed to be Kyoji's android clone. During the Final Battle Royal, he snuck in to help Domon defeat the Dark Gundam. To his sorrow, he was forced by Schwarz Bruder to use his ultimate technique to end the Dark Gundam by sacrificing both Kyoji Kashu and Schwarz Bruder.

Personality: A level-head tactical man who always tries to see the best possible outcome in a problematic scenario. Sometimes cold and harsh, he will always try and point out the flaws in a battle strategy. Acting as a surrogate mentor to others, he will always get on everyone's case about any poor decisions they make. Despite all this, he cares deeply about others and will protect them, usually involving some sort of harsh words during his defense. He is also great at sneaking behind others and sometimes scaring others.

Faction: The Counter Corps

Important Artifact Stolen: The Dark Gundam

Reserve me 2 more spots for the Counter Corps, and 1 for the Divine.

3? Isn't that a bit much-? Ah. You edited it.

Of course, reserved~

Can a character be from a video game? It isn't listed, but I thought it was worth the question.

I said 'canon series', not 'canon anime', right? So of course, what a silly question ^_^

@King II: Mostly accepted~ I'm not too sure about the Limited Control Over Time ability, however. While the latter ability is fine, for the former... I mean if you do the math, one second is one thousand milliseconds, so you're pretty much giving him a painstakingly free three hours to thoroughly analyze any situation. Combine this with his battle tactics and power to rewind time by a few seconds, and he becomes virtually invincible.

Is this, er, intentional?

And here is my Divine character.

"My kingdom is in shambles...my friends are either dead or imprisoned...and my beloved perished protecting me...Give me a reason why I shouldn't change the past to what it was supposed to be!!!"

Username: Gendo Ikari

Name: Princess Judaihime Yuki of Academia

Age: 19

Gender: Female

Appearance:

[spoiler=Special Thanks to the fabulous malindachan on deviantART]

Animefest_2009__Princess_Judai_by_Malind

Origin: forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/206563-yu-gi-oh-problems-of-space-and-time-startedaccepting-hereooc

Biography: Judaihime is from an alternate reality where most of the characters are gender-swapped, with a few exceptions such as Johan and the late King Samejima, who in this reality is Judaihime's father.

There, dueling is very similar to the system in Duelists of the Roses, with a few elements of Falsebound Kingdom put in for good measure, but it can easily be adapted to modern methods.

Judai's Kingdom of Academia is surrounded by four other major dueling nations, the Principality of Northrend, the Grand Caliphate of Ehsteih, the Commonwealth of the Sau, and the Westerra Confederacy, as well as over a dozen minor ones, all of which were independent, but, after advocation by Judai and Prince Johan of Northrend, her lover, they have all allied under a common banner to take care of the evil Marikan Empire on another continent separated only by a polar ice cap and a shared sea.

However, the Marikans have triumphed over the Academian Alliance, crushing them beneath their heel thanks to the temporal fluctuations giving the Marikans access to advanced alien technology from another universe. To further complicate matters, as a last resort, Judaihime was prepared to utilize the Dark Scepter of Haou, the surviving relic of the ancient Demon Queen who ruled Academia eons ago, but is vanished. Judaihime has since joined the Divine and seeks to recover her heirloom and free her people…no matter the cost to herself.

Personality:  Judaihime is a very proper lady from a fantasy realm who doesn’t quite comprehend modern culture. Fortunately, what she lacks in an ability to grasp other universes, she makes up for in sheer grit and tenacity. She is quite strong-willed, almost to the point of being stubborn, and once she sets her mind to something, she will not let go of her goal. However, she will only fight if she absolutely has to, preferring to settle matters diplomatically.

Faction: Divine

Important Artifact Stolen: The Dark Scepter of Haou, an ancient magical wand owned by the Demon Queen Haou from ages past. It is said to contain the last remnants of Haou’s magic, and could easily be used to triumph over any, though it can only be wielded by one of Haou’s bloodline. However, rumors say it contains the spirit of Haou herself, waiting for a host to attach to…

Powers/Equipment: While a princess and somewhat of a pacifist, Yukihime is a powerful spellcaster in her own right, capable of summoning monsters and using clerical abilities by praying to Horakty for guidance. She possesses two spirit companions, Winged Kuriboh, a cute puffball that defends and heals, and Yubel, a former demoness that now serves as Judaihime’s mentor and confidante.

Remember her?

@King II: Mostly accepted~ I'm not too sure about the Limited Control Over Time ability, however. While the latter ability is fine, for the former... Combine this with his battle tactics and power to rewind time by a few seconds, and he becomes virtually invincible.

Ah, no, I'm afraid there was a bit of miscommunication there.  @__@

Yes, a millisecond of regular time still becomes 3-5 seconds for him.  However, he's only able to do about 1, maybe up to 2, milliseconds at a time (which would equal between 6-10 seconds for him when he uses it, at most).

... still, that does seem to make his actions during that time frame almost instantaneous, so maybe I should make it "1 second of real time becomes 3-5 seconds for Alister while in use".  I'll also specify how many seconds of real time he can slow down at a time.

EDIT: Also, I've edited Alexander's bio a bit, more specifically the last paragraph or so.  Would Emiya accept Alex's request?   Ratchet and Clank would simply be Background NPCs in that case.

[spoiler=And done with Gin. I gave him something extra.]

"You have crossed the line. In the name of the Stiltons, elimination is the only possible answer."

Application

Username: Jolta

Name: Real name unknown, goes by the alias 'Gin Furukawa'

Age: 16

Gender: Looks female, actually male.

Appearance: Gin is rather short, only 1.2 metres tall. His appearance is child-like and effeminate. Despite his alias, he looks more European than Japanese. in fact, he doesn't look Japanese at all. He does have a tiny bit of bust, although no one knows. His BWH is 52-48-51. His silvery hair is cut into a hime-cut, and veils his mysterious eyes. Instead of his usual one-piece white dress, he wears an outfit akin to a hime-miko, complete with the sandals.

Tamae, on the other hand, is 1.8 m tall and takes the shape of a rather busty Japanese female. She has demonic red eyes and long black hair which flows freely through the air. Her BWH is 89-59-72. She often wears a red kimono that reveals her chest, and ancient sandals. She has a pair of white fox ears on her head, and nine shining white fox tails.

Origin: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/283606-nirvana-pg-13startedalways-accepting/

Biography: Gin was known as 'The Unknown' back in England, since he was the only Stilton who never really revealed his name to anyone. He trained since young as he wanted to be a top tier magician. From fighting mythical beings and even other mages, he had matured over the years into a force to be reckoned with.

His mother is a magic criminal, while his father was a researcher on Devil Relics. As a part-time job, he decided to research on Devil Relics, and took them into his house under the request of his father, since he was immune to curses.

One day, Gin moved to Japan, since that was where most of the Stiltons, including the family head Alexis Stilton II, lived. He had also heard that a new threat was incoming, and thought that he should also aid in this problem.

One day, while paying a visit to Stilton II, he encountered what he identified as a Satori abusing a defenseless Kyubii no Kitsune. Feeling rather sorry, he walked up to the two and chased the Satori away. The Kitsune, feeling grateful, decided to serve Gin as his familiar by forming a contract. While he resisted for a while, the fox, who finally introduced herself as Tamae, stalked him endlessly. Eventually, he gave in and formed the Master-Familiar contract.

One day, the world was acting weird. The days varied in time, and many things changed. When Gin paid a visit to Stilton II, his signature relics were gone. He wanted to dig deeper and find the truth, when he met a mysteriius person...

Personality: Gin is quite a tsundere, especially towards Tamae. He is rather hotheaded, and has one of the shortest tempers you will ever know. In addition to being the first to lose his cool, he is ironically the last to lose his sanity. He really dislikes many things, and the only thing he treasures are his family, friends, loyal familiar, weapons and work. Yes, work.

Gin is not the merciful type. When he encounters a foe that requires elimination, he will not hestitate to slay them.

Faction: Counter Corps

Important Artifact Stolen: The Alicornus Dimensia and Mjolnir, and the other Arcanite Relics possessed by the heads of the other eight families.

[spoiler=Powers/Equipment:]

Gin

Curse Immunity - Self-explanatory. He is immune to the negative effects of curses. If Voodoo doll curses are used on him, the doll will produce a huge explosion.

Rainbow Magic - At first, they appear to be chrome-coloured generic energy rays. However, when an attack hits one of these, it will become the element of that attack. He can mould these into different shapes

Stat enhancement armaments - As a Stilton, while his magic potential and mana are ridiculously high compared to your average joe, every single bit of clothing down to his undergarments enhances his physical aspects like dexterity, speed or strength to slightly higher than regular human levels, for said aspects are naturally low. If you completely strip him, you may find ease in defeating him.

Weapon proficiency - He can wield numerous different kinds of weapons, from katanas to longswords. He has practiced dual-wielding weapons that can usually only be wielded with two hands.

Androgynous Blood - A passive ability. The user can use gender-exclusive abilities or tools(e.g. The IS or the Witchblade), but in turn, attacks that only affect one gender will always affect the user.

Senbonzakura - In his world, this is known as a Devil Relic, an object that has gained sentience and a human form through one way or another. This sword can only be wielded by females. The Senbonzakura is currently slumbering for now, therefore shows no signs of sentience. It is a pink katana with a diamond blade, thus can literally cut through almost anything. It can also summon cherry blossoms from nothingness, which can shift into constructs for combat and other purposes. This blade has a Muramasa curse. Back in Gin's world, this was a curse exclusive to blades forged by Muramasa. When unsheathed, the user cannot withdraw or let go until it draws blood. Gin is obviously immune to this. However, when it is traced or wielded by others, that is another story altogether.

It has its own Reality Marble, which can only activate when it has awakened from its slumber. The whole field turns into a field of cherry blossoms, which enhances the power of the blade.

Kago no Tori - The twin blade of Senbonzakura. A blue diamond katana that has not gained sentience. It has a Muramasa curse too, which Gin is immune to. It can only be wielded by males. It can create constructs from what appear to be blue birds. It is said that using this ability with Senbonzakura's would be rather powerful.

While not yet capable, Kago no Tori comes with its own reality marble that appear to be blue birds flying in the sky, in which can be used to enhance the power of Kago no Tori.

A few katanas - Gin keeps four wooden katanas under his skirt. They contain enhancement magic that boost dexterity.

Tamae - Gin's loyal familiar and partner who had always been by his side. For a year. She has a huge crush on her master, and is a Kyubii no Kitsune.

Rainbow Flare - An odd, rainbow flame that does not burn, but releases strength to destroy and dismantle. Its element is that of Gin's Rainbow Magic.

Berserk Mode - This ability allows her to enhance her form into a nine-tailed fox the size of a double-decker bus.

Curse Resistance - Granted upon her contract with Gin. She is resistant to curses.

Levitation - She can levitate up to 10 metres above ground.

Enhanced Strength - Duh. Limited to but a couple tonnes.

Enhanced Agility - Not super-speedy, just highly enhanced speed and dexterity

Improved smell - Being a fox, she can whiff things out from a hundred mile radius.

Well, since Lerna has her own Reality Marble/Witch Barrier, she can't enter Unlimited Blade Works without abandoning it as well as her familiars. But still, it'd be interesting to have a Witch of all things as part of the Counter Corps.

I still think it would be better if Lerna joined neither faction. I mean think about it: an embodiment of despair... working for the good guys.

That just wouldn't  feel right :/

...

As for the Barrier, I was actually thinking of Lerna being forced out of it due to Izamy's shenanigans, but abandoning it for the greater good works too.

Oh, and would she still be able to summon her familiars to help fend off enemies? Or would they be so intolerant of the real world that they'd dissipate the moment they stepped outside the Barrier?

Hmmm...I have to agree, you're right. Maybe Lerna could be placed within the Shadow Realm (the first setting) for whatever reason, and have her encounter the two sides. But then what? She's probably get killed on the spot as a monster. It might be easier if you made her a Pseudo-Witch (like Rochelle of WitchQuest) due to all the time shenanigans, so she's at least approachable.

As for familiars, they wouldn't dissipate. I mean, you remember that if a familiar eats five humans, it becomes a witch, right? But you know, familiars gain their own barriers and capable of fighting alone, so it's possible that they no longer obey the main witch. Lerna may have to exert more energy outside of her barrier than inside in order to keep control of them.

This is a Witch that was specifically designed to be a late-game boss we're talking about here. Even if both factions attack Lerna at once, I'd like to think that she'd hold her own just fine. But I digress; I'll edit this post with Lerna's actual app momentarily.

And that of my enemies shall be dwindling by the second

Username: Admiral_Stalfos19

Name: Lerna, the Witch of Infinite Possibilities

Age: Unknown

Gender: Female

Appearance: Essentially, Lerna is a hydra in appearance. She has a total of 8 heads; the main head, where one's head is "supposed to be", one on the end of each arm and a final head on the end of the tail, which is more than large enough to cover a football field on its own. She also has a gargantuan eye on her back, which stays open the vast majority of the time, only to close when she comes under attack from behind. Lerna's main head is shaped similarly to that of a Protoss Dark Templar, even down to the facial details. All the heads on her arms, on the other hand, are dragonic in appearance, with snouts being shaped into spikes, and the very last head takes the form of a crocodile's. Incidentally, the tail head doesn't have any sign of orifices not called a jaw... not even eye sockets. What appear to be in their place, however, are a series of curved, scimitar-shaped blades that in reality act more like horns. Lerna doesn't have any legs to speak of; instead, she tends to slither along solid ground, or levitate in the air.

Origin: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/293237-puella-magi-yuki-magica-oocpg-13startedalways-accepting/

Biography: Lerna, the Witch of Infinite Possibilities, came into existence shortly after a Witch known only as The Hurricane Hallow attacked Lotus City one particular Halloween. Galina Hikari, the Magical Girl that would eventually become Lerna, was one of the few Magical Girls that had fought The Hurricane Hallow, in an effort to kill her before she could do any more damage to Lotus City. But her fighting was in vain, and she was forced to retreat whilst hanging onto a thread of life. Galina was one of the lucky ones, though; some of the Magical Girls had died fighting alongside her, and their deaths were weighing on her mind, as well as the injuries of her mother and her 12-year-old sister Elison, and whether or not they'd be OK. As soon as she recovered from the battle, Galina immediately headed to the beach to reflect on all this, when all of a sudden Kyubey appeared to tell her that Elison had become a Magical Girl. Galina was practically encouraging Elison to become a Magical Girl, but the fact that her face went white with shock meant that she hadn't thought through what it meant for her. She immediately stripped herself of her arms and tried to drown herself in the nearby seawater. But it was too late; Galina's transformation sequence happened just as she submerged herself, and although she tried to resist it long enough to fill her lungs with the seawater, her efforts were once again futile, just like her attempts to fight off The Hurricane Hallow. And thus Lerna was born.

The Witch of Infinite Possibilities had been harbouring a strong hatred against Kyubey, and her initial motivation for killing the creature was out of pure vengeance. However, as she pondered how such an ambitious plot to kill an incubator like Kyubey would actually work, Lerna reached an epiphany; if she could pull it of and kill all the Messengers of Magic, then no more Magical Girls could be created to combat Lerna and her brethren Witches, leaving them unrivalled as they collected the essence of despair from their human prey. As she plotted her new-found ultimatum, Lerna had spoken several times with Elison, who by that stage was heavily pregnant, having maintained the unborn child within her with her wish. The first time the two beings met was short and practically uneventful, but during the following two times, Lerna became under attack by groups of Magical Girls. The first batch was disposed of effortlessly, but the second lot had proven themselves much more formidable. A Magical Girl by the name of Kuroyuki Epsilon even tried to save Elison from despair as she was watching them, unaware that Lerna was using Elison to render herself invulnerable to the entire skirmish.

Eventually, Lerna lost patience, and cast a spell that was so powerful that it not only dealt severe damage to the entire party of Magical Girls, but also blasted each and every one of them out of her Barrier. However, her familiars, the Troys, were starting to grow less and less obedient; some of them had even evolved into Witches themselves. To find out what in all that was unholy was going on, Lerna abandoned her Barrier entirely, only to transport herself into the Shadow Realm where she discovered the two sides.

Personality: Of all the beings in the multiverse, Lerna is one of the most unnerved about what Izamy hopes to achieve. But don't be fooled into thinking she's made a change of heart; Lerna is still an evil and malicious Witch, and that will never change. In truth, the only reason why she opposes Izamy in the first place is because as a Witch, it's Lerna's duty to enforce the concept of despair, and with that removed, Lerna and many other Witches would cease to exist. To think that such a powerful being could be cast into oblivion so easily must be unimaginable under any circumstance, so it's understandable that Lerna has this fear in the back of her mind. Because of what she is and the way she is, Lerna is well aware of all the enemies she could make just by existing in the same universe as those that want to fight Izamy or support her efforts, and is wary of all those around her as a result. But Lerna is willing to protect the concept of despair at all costs, whether those be of human souls that she must absorb to maintain her strength, or actual personal sacrifices she has to make. And if that means that Lerna must become a one being army, then so be it. She'll fight to the bitter end to eliminate every single threat to her existence, regardless of where in the multiverse they take place, and any attempts to stop her fighting will be in vain.

Faction: None, although she strongly opposes Izamy's idealisms

Important Artefact Stolen: Juubey

Powers: As with Sarah Freon, Lerna doesn't use equipment, but instead relies on her powers to see her through. Here is a list:

Ability Copycat: Lerna can copy the powers of any nearby character whether that character is an ally or a foe, and use those powers for herself. She can only copy the powers of one character at a time, and must alternate which character's powers get copied whenever she needs a specific power.

Summon Troys: Opening a portal to her Barrier, Lerna calls forth a select number of her Familiars, known as Troy, to aid her in battle, before closing the portal again so no-one can enter it and try to kill the others off. The Troys appear as stick figure human beings, and wield an array of "stick" weapons, ranging from medieval and primitive weaponry to modern-day firearms. They have a good balance of strength, speed and stamina, all three qualities of which exceed those of any human, along with the intelligence of any human military soldier, and the uncanny ability to recover quickly from attacks. To prevent them from gaining enough combat experience to start defying her, Lerna purposefully banishes the Troys back to her Barrier after 10 minutes of service (which equates to about 3-5 posts).

Witch's Kiss: A strange mark appears on the neck of Lerna's intended target, who then becomes nothing more than a mindless zombie fit only to do the Witch's bidding. Unlike most Witches, Lerna can cast multiple Witches' Kisses in a single instance, up to 8 in fact, but they can only be successfully planted on those close to her or a portal to her Barrier, and only on pure human beings. For example, Sarah can't be targeted because she houses the spirit of Ifrit, and Alexander Abernathy can't be targeted because he's a Lombax. (So basically it does tiddly squat to playable characters, and only affects NPCs.) However, the sheer number of things Lerna can do to a victim of a Witch's Kiss is unending; she can have that victim scout out potential allies or enemies, act as a decoy or a scapegoat, or even relay a spiteful warning to her enemies. After the victim has served his or her purpose, Lerna will have him or her commit suicide so she can feed off the victim's soul. But if the Witch's Kiss just so happens to be removed beforehand, however unwilling Lerna is to allow such an event, the victim will remember nothing of the incident, and will be left alone to pick up where he or she left off.

Well, I feel stupid... <_<

I forgot you were posting this Merciful. Anyway, 3 reserves for me. Richard will be in Counter Corps, Jeremy will be in Divine, and...

Quick question: If there are characters who are in the making for an RP that's WIP, could you use them? I'm only asking because I'd like a particular character to be in an unfamiliar environment before experiencing his home turf, so to speak. Is that an exception? He'll be Divine, BTW.

@Gendo Ikari: Whoops, must've slipped my mind. Judaihime is accepted~

@King II: Hmmm... Sorry. It's pretty easy to miss, but there's a rule about this. Also, due to the time-space distortions, Emiya and Isamy can't appear to just anyone. In fact, you could say they don't have a choice as to who they're picking to aid them in their goals. Otherwise, they could just go to the DBZ or DC-verses and pick up all the strongest warriors.

It's still possible, but under one condition only; the duo have to be comatose or in suspended animation. By putting in effort to surpass the distortions, it's possible for Emiya to recover them, but it's still quite troublesome.

@Jolta: Accepted :D I like the katana thing. I wonder if Emiya can project living weapons...hmm, probably not.

Only as long as you end up eventually posting that RP. You didn't create the character specifically for this one, right? Then it's fine.

Edit:

@Enrise:

Chillax, Sonic's using a mundane Assassin~

As for the app, it seems pretty alright. I have no idea what this "German ninjutsu" thing entails, even though I've watched the show, but from what I can remember, it seems pretty tame. Emiya should be able to deploy the Gundam out of Unlimited Blade Works, so location isn't a problem. Thus, accepted!

@Admiral: Well, if you're that confident about your own abilities, then good luck, Mid-Boss.

German ninjutsu is pretty easy to explain.

It's ninjutsu... from Germany. Nothing special about it. He's a ninja from Germany, to put it bluntly.

:I

More importantly, thanks.

And actually, I was actually thinking on a possible character associated with the Dark Gundam.

I'll PM you in a bit about it.

Ratchet and Clank have been frozen within time, and may or may not have been knocked out by the energy burst made when the Great Clock's destruction was reversed.  Would that count?

... actually, given your reasoning, it would be quite the effort (technically, Alister--and Isamy, by extension--are closer to Ratchet and Clank in terms of location and time, but I doubt Isamy would even bother with them.)  Even so, it would technically fall under the part of "giving a series' main character plot armor", though I figured that if Emiya did manage to rescue Ratchet and Clank somehow, Ratchet would show signs of a possibly terminal condition as a result of the time crash fusing events together (i.e., severe coughing fits and chest pains).
