Something similar to this, but relied on using pre-existing plates, moved with Animus to protect against attacks in one location at a time. Weakness is, since the plates are not actually generated, it can't fully protect you.

Also, to be clear, most of the gadgets/upgrades listed in my apps that are not quite finished yet are the ones I'm planning to implement, but I'm not really sure yet about the balance. The more balanced ones will be completed faster, but absurd things like hex- Animus Beam Rifles powered with reverse-engineered Daedalus Cores will not be implemented soon, if at all.
Personal Information
Name: Leticia "Letty" Christie
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: July 3rd

lcLQeXH.png
188 cm, 86 kg.

A stern teacher from the Daedalus Academy. She always expects good results from her students, and doesn't take any of teir failures well. She enjoys giving hard tasks to her students, since she believed that it's a necessity to test their worthiness to study in the most prstigious academy in Brittania. Due to her lack of mechanical skills, she often abused her position as a teacher to force her students to make something for her own use. She's also quite a scary person when teaching her students, but thankfully, she does gives good grades to those who deserved it.

Despite her scary persona in the class, she's actually quite a pleasant person, and she enjoys a good conversation accompanied by cookies and tea. She appreciates beautiful things, and often visited museums, foreign boutiques, and the rare parks for sightseeing.

Inside, she's actually feeling quite insecure about herself, worrying that she'll disappoint people's expectation, and she's really obsessive about her beauty, and sees her prosthetic arms as something that should be ashamed of. That's why she almost always conceal her arms, except her hands, which was made from white porcelain.

Due to her arms being prosthetic, she devoted her Animus to strengthen it. The result is quite apparent, she has the physical ability on-par with many automatons. Her main strength lies in her brilliant mind, being able to predict the movements of her opponents and plan accordingly. She never actually relied on her automaton in a fight, but it is rumored that her automaton is absolutely monstrous.

She's also one of the head of the medics team in the academy, owing to her extensive knowledge of medicines and healing application of Animus.Though, despite all of her excellence in multiple fields, she is completely blind about most automatons, except her own.

-She always refused to talk about her past. But it is known widely that she's not a native Britannian.
She's actually Salamancan that spends most of her life in Gallia
-She is quite new to the academy, arriving 2 years ago.
-She's allergic to dust.
-Unknown to most people, she often used perfumes and cosmetics imported from Gallia.
-She can't stand air or sea travel.
-She rarely laughed, since she admitted that her laugh is really embarassing
-She is a heavy sleeper before she went to Daedalus Academy. To cure her sleepiness, she drank a lot of coffee, until she finally became a caffein addict.

-She's a good dancer, and a decent guitar player.

-She's quite good with both Gallian and Salamancan, but her Britannian language skill relatively sucked.

Classification: Destroyer-class Battle Automaton
Size: 5 meters high,
Weight: Around 2 tonnes
Material: Some sort of light metal alloy.
Number of Daedalus Cores installed: 1

Movement Speed: Fast

Response Time: Instaneous

Durability: Excellent

Maximum Range: 700 meters

Weapons: 2 Animus-enchanced blade(Eternal), 2 Heavy Bombard Cannons(Genesis), around 10 mini-cannons.
Description: An automaton enchanced with one of the original cores, this is purely designed for destructive purposes. Since it's rarely deployed due to its high maintenance cost, this automaton is stored in a hidden place in the academy. It is said that this automaton's looks resembled an ancient goddess, due to its slender design made possible by the original core. Rumors says that despite the huge Animus reserve needed to operate this automaton, the owner can force it to drain any source of Animus around it by overclocking it, and at its maximum potential, not even a true Daedalus Weapon can penetrate its armor. Not much else is known about this automaton or who actually made it.

Classification: Animus-powered Bow
Length123 centimeters
Weight: 1.3 kilograms
Maximum Range: 125 meter
Firing Rate: Very Fast
Accuracy: High
Number of False Cores installed: 1
Description:
Letty's prized bow, and only she can use it, due to the unnatural strength needed to pull its string. She has been trained to shoot 10 arrows in a span of 8 seconds, and with the Animus enchantment, those arrows can even pierce metal with no problems. This bow is kind of impractical to carry all the time, so she stored it in her room.

Classification: Animus-powered Gun
Length: 20 centimeters
Weight: 0.3 kilograms
Maximum Range: 20 meter
Firing Rate: Medium
Maximum Ammunition Stored: 15
Accuracy: High
Number of False Cores installed: 1
Description: The only weapon that she brings with her everyday. It's an ordinary gun, just modified to store some extra ammunition and an auto-reload system, thanks to her forcing her student to make it. The Animus enchantment is applied on its firing rate, making it not as slow as the other guns in the era.

Classification: Mechanical Limbs
Material: Some sort of light metal alloy and porcelain
False Cores Installed:  1 in each arms
Description:
After an accident in the past, Letty's arms were replaced by a metallic substitute. The arms gave her some additional strength, allowing her to do tasks that usually requires an automaton. The arms is quite sturdy though, except the parts covered in porcelain. She can store ammunition and arrow bolts inside the arms, but she prefers not to, since it'll make the arms even more rigid. She often considered to have someone install weapons on them, but she realized that it'll be impractical, and for the time being, she choosed not to.

All hail oppai Britannia!
Changelog 1: Remade parts of her apps and added the explanation for her prosthetic arms.
Changelog 2: Added some trivias. And updated Ataegina's description.

Changelog 3: Edited several parts.

Changelog 4: Added a vital information.

Let's play the game shall we?

"Polly want a cracker? Polly want a cracker!? I’ll tell you what Polly wants. Polly wants you to shut your face up before I fly over there and rip your lips off. That’s what Polly god damn wants!"
Personal Information
Name: Johannes von Seiderling
Age: 19
Gender: M
Date of Birth: 29th of August

Johannes is roughly 187cm (6”3) tall. He has very short black hair, that is usually done over once it gets beyond 2cm in length. He has powerful hazel eyes, that have the single minded look of someone who is not so much looking at you, but reading you and then finally looking straight through you. His nose is slightly crooked, and his nostrils tend to flare when he gets aggravated. He doesn't smile, period; as doing so stretches the scar on the right side of his upper lip from where the knife slipped. His skin is lightly tan, both from his father’s side and from being outdoors quite commonly.

He is well built, having spent much time performing exercise and training in his previous military academy; as such his last recorded weighing was 91 kg. His body is often hidden behind his uniform: A starched and well pressed thing, it consists of an ashen gray jacket with padded shoulders, and an 8 button system. His black pants run smoothly down to his ankles, where you may catch a glimpse of his plain white socks. His black boots with gold trim are shined daily. Underneath his jacket he wears a plain clothes white button-up shirt, with an handkerchief folded in the breast pocket. He keeps his knives holstered, with one on his hip, and the other stored behind his back underneath the tuck of his jacket.

Camped eternally on his back is Polly, one ugly mother. Its head is a vague cross between bird and reptile, with a sharp serrated beak that hides 6 rows of sharp teeth. He has a crest that raises when he feels threatened, or aroused. His body is coated in shaggy hair. His wingspan is roughly 5 feet wide, with three claws at the half-point of each wing. They cling to Johannes’ back but control flight when the entire wing folds out when flying. His talons are covered in scales, with three claws in the front, and one in the back. He has long, sturdy but soft tailfeathers, though there are a few missing form his left side (lost from a cat attack). His colouring is mostly dirty green, with a blue colouration around his head, though the area around his eyes are red. His feet are black-blue in colouring.

Johannes is a very quiet boy… obviously. His tongue was cut out; so of course he’d be the quiet sort. Because of this minor issue, it is hard to gauge him on his, ‘natural’ personality as he can’t express it through words. Though he has a tendency to express it through body language: He doesn’t emote, often. He has the sort of, silent façade of someone who is most likely dead inside and as such very little with phase him because of it. However, when Polly speaks for him, he tend to emote as if he were speaking, though otherwise he spends his time just looking around. Paranoia is fairly strong in him, hence why he is always looking around and listening, even when Polly is speaking for him. He has no sense of humour, and attempting to be funny around him won’t earn you any points. It’ll most likely earn you a punch to the face for insubordination, or getting furiously pecked and/or bitten by Polly. If there is someone in trouble, he tends to step in between them and the assailant, or pierce them with a bullet from a hundred yards. Whichever is easier at the present time.

Polly has a tendency to be exceptionally crass and foul-mouthed when not speaking for Johannes. He has a rather stuck-up view of himself, since he’s currently on the endangered species list for his breed (Empyreal thyraptoridae / The Empathy Bird). He’s frequently abusive to people he doesn’t like (ie everyone) and will frequently hide behind Johannes when the heat is on and his goose might be cooked. He also tends to woof whistle when he sees a cute girl. He thinks that it’s charming, but it’s not, it’s not. Whether or not he regards Johannes as anything more than his job is purely up in the air, as they speak to each other through an Animus bond rather than in words. Asking about their relationship gets you punched in the face for insubordination, or getting furiously pecked and/or bitten by Polly.

Johannes’ family is one of the leading noble families in a small island chain that lies to the south of the Empire of Britannia; this chain is known as the Ai Mercas island chain. This chain of islands is well known for its fruit, vegetable and most importantly cotton plantations. It is also well know for its, ‘illicit’ slavery trade. Well, not so much a trade anymore, since too many of the aristocracy spent their time gambling with their slaves. So yes, ownership is considered alright, but trading or using them as an economy is a no-no.

Anywho, when Johannes was 8, he was taking lessons with his tutor in the garden, as it was such a lovely day. However, the both of them were blindsided by several slaves that had managed to escape. They knocked the tutor out and kidnapped Johannes; however, that was where their plan sort of, ended. They hadn’t thought that far beyond the kidnapping, and they didn’t really want to hurt an 8 year old kid. So they kept him holed up in a decrepit slave shack, one that not even the slaves would want.

They had issued their demands, but Johannes’ family has a very stalwart stance on kidnapping and terrorists: We don’t negotiate. Naturally, the slaves were growing desperate as the Special Police of Ai Mercas was hot on their tails, and the Seiderlings weren’t budging. The desperation of their situation drove them to make a desperate remove. After arguing about what part to remove, they finally decided to cut out Johannes’ tongue, as a form of metaphor. The metaphor of silencing the Seiderling’s was completely lost on the two parents, who used the letter to trace the slaves back to the hut. Johannes, in agony and constantly blindfolded, could only hear as the hut was stormed and the slaves were mowed down. Now, being blindfolded for two weeks is very unpleasant, though one could conclude it was even more unpleasant to find that the first thing you see after being blindfolded for two weeks was a hut full of blood and bodies.

The trauma of the incident broke something inside Johannes. His innocence. After being returned to his parents, he didn’t play, or read childish stories. He spent his time reading many of his father’s combat books, and novels of war. As far as Johannes was concerned, his childhood was over. His parents couldn’t be anymore than delighted at the change in their son; however, they were concerned about his inability to speak. Someone of such upbringing would of course rise to a commanding position, but an interpreter would be too impractical. Thankfully, there was another choice. There was a monster breed that was quite common to the Ai Mercas chain, known as the Empyreal birds.

Originally classed as a pest, the Genus Empyreal were an incredibly intelligent species of monster bird. They constantly assaulted the crops, taking quick bites into the many fruits and tearing apart the vegetables for game. In response, they were quickly hunted to near extinction, save for a small colony that settled in a small island. This species was key to solving Johannes’ problem, as it was discovered shortly after their culling that the birds were easily capable of humans speech, and not only that but some tend to form empathetic links with humans they feel close to. A link that actually gives a form of pseudo telepathy between the two. Something that could remain on Johannes’ person at all times, and didn’t have to be paid in anything but fruit. They were perfect. Funding the expedition and equipment, the best hunters of Ai Mercas sought out the island, and after several unsuccessful attempts, finally caught one.

Johannes was introduced to Polly several says later after its capture. It remained in a cage and the two were left alone. They spent the day staring at each other. On the next day, the same test was repeated. Johannes, following human curiosity tried to get close to the bird, but it snapped furiously at him. After a few more days, and some injured fingers, the two finally, clicked… after bribery of the apple Johannes was eating at the time. Polly perched on his perch and finally spoke.

As he emoted, the bird perfectly repeated back everything he had hoped to say, including finally telling his mother that the necklace she was wearing was indeed tacky; something he had wanted to say ever since she phrased the question three months ago. That earned him a smack from his father in disapproval, but other than that, success.

With a voice in hand, Johannes spent his early teen years at premier military academies in Ai Mercas. It was when he was 15 that Ai Mercas finally signed the alliance treaty with the Empire of Brittania, which opened up the world to Johannes. And now that he was ready, he would go to Brittania and become a Knight-Engineer, for his family, and for Brittania.

Johannes, with his military training is an expert in dual-wielding a pair of combat knives. His style involves always having one blade pointed forward, whilst having the other held in reverse, both in defence or to make quick sneak attacks. Using his keen vision he can make fairly accurate hits by throwing the knives, even though they're not really built for it. Due to his military training his is also proficient with most varieties of swords. His secondary weapon is a long range rifle without a scope, he doesn’t need one. Through a combination of Animus & the empathetic link with Polly, they can share vision. As such, he can send Polly ahead to scout out locations, and he will know inherently where to fire as Polly scouts locations.

His use of Animus is linked directly into support and defence. His most common use of Animus is the Animus Gardna, a shield that forms in front of him or a selected individual he is determined to protect. At a low use, it has the basic form of a standard shield, but higher levels of exertion truly define the shield, including his own family crest (a Horn of Plenty with two cotton plants arcing over the top). This shield can easily be used while moving, allowing a charge to occur unhindered of artillery or assaults. Upon his command he can launch the shield forwards, acting as a force wall that can knock most people and light vehicles back roughly 10-20 feet.

A secondary form of the shield exists only when he is standing still in perfect concentration. This skill is known as Animus Kinectic. By using his Animus to vibrate air particles around him, he can slow the descent of weaponry and projectiles to a dead stop. This can take the form of a perfect ring around himself, or in a selected area at least 10 feet away. It is a fairly draining skill, and the record for him holding it so far is five seconds.

The other uses he has for Animus is enhancing sight and hearing to powerful levels; allowing him to perfectly see things from up to a hundred yards, as well as hear things up to fifty yards away. If he has sight on something, the Animus use can be altered so he blocks out all outside noises, allowing him to listen in for enemies that might try to harm him. Paranoia is a strong thing after all. His hearing becomes so immense that he can practically hear the inner workings of a human body or even the most silent of machinery.

Firstly, All Hail Lelouch!

Empyreal birds possess a form of Animus of their own, which is what allows them to link with those they feel close to. By bonding with the Animus of their chosen, the birds inherently know whatever languages their chosen does, as well as perfectly understanding them. Hence why they are called the Empathy birds. The link between Animus can be severed by either the use of Animus to break the bond, or by making enough distance without the chosen knowing where they are. It has been said that the ‘normal’ personality of an Empathy bird that has bonded with a chosen is their chosen’s ‘true’ feelings. However, as there have been so few legitimate links made it is impossible to tell at this point in time.

The Island Nation of Ai Mercas was formed roughly 155 years ago, by settlers who segregated from their original nation. The Empire of Brittania aided them in their settlement, and they were told to make something of their land, as after a set time period (150 years) they would either have to join Brittania of their free will, or, they would be conquered instead. So, make something of it they did, as the lands of Ai Mercas had very rich soil, allowing for the mass farming that still exists to date. Every year, Ai Mercas would export ¼ of their total harvest to Brittania as a show of good faith. The slavery trade came in after many refugees from a nation wrecked by Brittania made land in Ai Mercas. As far as the now burgeoning aristocracy of Ai Mercas was concerned, they were nothing more than rats who escaped a sinking ship. If they those refugees thought the idea of Brittania ruling them was bad, they had clearly never dreamed of Ai Mercas oppression. To this day the children’s children’s children of the first slaves still work in the fields, though, after a brief chat amongst the ruling parties they did decide to act a bit nicer towards the slaves after the mass breakout spree and subsequent murder of the cruellest of the aristocracy.

If it's possible right now, people will not bother to excavate them. Though, given enough time and efforts  and sacrifices to the blood god, I think it's possible to reverse-engineer the thing.

The False Cores is currently the limit of what the engineer can replicate from the original cores.

Also btw, finished most of my second character's application. It'll need some reviews due to me intentionally made her to be a little bit more powerful than the other characters, due to her position. And the personality section will be revamped as soon as I can stop derping around.

Hmm... didn't think it was possible to properly re-create the Daedalus Sphere, but I didn't think about reverse engineering it.

Well, thank you nonetheless.

EDIT: Minori is almost complete, and I'd like to reserve an app for his childhood friend. But before all that, can I get a review of what I've written so far, please?

False cores are reverse engineered Daedalus Spheres. The true cores are created with some unknown material and the current technology is unable to replicate the small nano-processes inside.

You don't have much on how he acts like a girl, only how he acts like a guy.

AIX is the young prodigy.

GLaDOS's is the mysterious type of genius.

And that's it. 5 geniuses out of 9 characters. Not counting recently submitted characters.

Freed's not a genius.

I'd like to have a review of my application too :3

@Ain: It probably has to do with the design and overall mechanics. Same reason why if we sent a laptop to the nineteenth century, they wouldn't be able to reverse engineer it. It would be far, far too complicated for them.

Ah, I'm just worried about her tech and overall skills being too much or too versatile.

You know, my character has a a Sniper rifle that fires explosive rounds and carries around an explosive cord of explosiveness. Too versatile, maybe. But I wouldn't worry about her being overpowered. Especially given her position.

Just read Caeil's app. Ain, something tells me that she and Isaiah are going to have a very, very, VERY fierce rivalry. Or an amazing friendship. That is, assuming that she'll bother to recognize his talents and accomplishments~ Otherwise, it would be one-sided dislike.

As for the others, he may have an interest in Helen, a slighter interest in Ezeltainn, admire Letty for her automaton (though he's never seen it, the rumors imply that it's similar to his own), and disregard those who shows no scientific talent.

Ah, maybe I'm just a bit too paranoid, as always.

Hmm, Caeil will definitely has an unhealthy obsession with Helen, avoids Aegis at all costs, due to her explosives being her weakness, is either ignored Isaiah or find his existence intolerable due to him being an overally better engineer than her, thus starting a one-sided rivalry to him, and stalked Aquilla all day just so she can study the mechanism of her Pinnam Ensis. She might act a bit cautious around Ezeltainn if she knew anything about him.

Meanwhile, Letty will try her best to manipulate her students to craft new automatons for her.
