So I decided to create a challenge for myself: Create an Archetype based on a currently existing Normal Monster. I chose the Level 4 Gene-Warped Warwolf.

So without further ado, the Brainchildren of this monster, the Gene-Warped!

cUYsh3k.jpg
4 Level 1 "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters
When this card is Xyz Summoned, you can target 1 other "Gene-Warped" monster you control; it gains ATK equal to this card's ATK, but it cannot attack directly. Once per turn, during your End Phase, you must detach 2 Xyz Material from this card. If you cannot, this card's ATK becomes 0, and it cannot change its Battle Position.

Cz5yQSZ.jpg
During your each of your End Phases, Special Summon 1 Token with the same Name, Type, Attribute, ATK, DEF, and Level as this card; it cannot be used as a Synchro Material.

ptwnOhK.jpg
FLIP: If a Level 5 or higher "Gene-Warped" monster was Summoned this turn, you can Normal Summon 1 more time this turn. You can only gain this effect once per turn.

b4jU2Th.jpg
Once per turn, you can discard this card; add 1 Level 5 or higher "Gene-Warped" monster from your Deck to your hand. If you Normal Summon a Level 5 or Higher "Gene-Warped" monster the turn you activate this effect, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.

inrNxmb.jpg
This card cannot be Normal Summoned, except by Tributing 1 "Gene-Warped Baby" monster. The turn this card is Normal Summoned, it can attack twice, but it cannot attack directly. When this card is Special Summoned, discard 1 card. When this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "Gene-Warped Warwolf" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard.

UrQ8rYd.jpg

This card cannot be Normal Summoned except by Tributing 1 "Gene-Warped Baby" monster. When this card is Normal Summoned, select 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it, and add 1 "Genesis Warp" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. When this card is Special Summoned, discard 1 card. When this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon up to 2 "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters from your Graveyard.

xUTmgZ7.jpg
This card cannot be Normal Summoned, except by Tributing 2 "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters. When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Gene-Warped Blitzdrag Ifonyt" from your hand. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all "Gene-Warped" monsters you control. When this card is destroyed by battle, Special Summon 1 "Gene-Warped Baby" from your Graveyard.

2geSUlG.jpg
This card cannot be Normal Summoned, except by Tributing 2 "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters. The turn this card is Normal Summoned, it can attack three times, but it cannot attack directly. When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all "Gene-Warped" monsters you control. When this card is destroyed by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the total ATK of all "Gene-Warped" monsters in your Graveyard.

lsOp79X.jpg
The ATK of all face-up "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters becomes 2000, but they cannot attack directly. Once per turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Gene-Warped" monster with 1 less Tribute, ignoring its effects. When you Special Summon a "Gene-Warped" monster, its effects are negated until the End Phase.

X3Jjgwv.jpg
When this card is activated, select any number of "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters on the field; destroy them, then Special Summon 1 "Gene-Warped" monster from your hand or Graveyard who would need that many Tributes to be Normal Summoned. This Special Summon is treated as a Normal Summon.

dY4qQKF.jpg
Select 1 Level 7 or higher "Gene-Warped" monster who was Normal Summoned; shuffle it into your Deck, then Special Summon the "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters that were Tributed for its Summon. If this card is destroyed, or if both those Special Summoned monsters are removed from the field, Special Summon two Level 5 or higher "Gene-Warped" monsters with the same name from your hand or Graveyard; their effects are negated.

Please alert of broken-ness, underpowered-ness, etc. Also your personal likes and dislikes, if you really feel the need to.

Not bad (my phone is confused a bit XD) the problem I see is

- Even u have a face-up Tech Lab, by that text u still need to tribute a same number of Gene-Warped Baby since they cannot be Normal Summoned EXCEPT by tributing (1-2, up to the card) Gene Warped Baby, so the way to fix it is this text "If u Tribute Summon this card, all Tributes must be "Gene-Warped Baby" monsters"

A: Im actually less new than you. Minor technicality.

B: Or, better method, change Lab to ignore the effects of the monster you are Normal Summoning.

Minor OCG problems...

On Ifonyt, "three" should be written as "3"

In addition, you realize that right now as they are, the 2 tribute guys kill themselves on a non archetype supported special summon?
Might want to add an ", except this card" text to the two big beaters.

Bird seems extraordinarily useless, and lab is way too easy to kill for having such a specific and important effect (while having no search option). For lab, I would add a back up effect, like something that can get back a gene-warped card from your grave to your hand when it's sent to the Graveyard. As for bird... You'd need to rework his effect completely to make him not suck completely.

That aside, these cards are very nice! The art choices were fantastic, and the archetype is interesting and innovational. Please keep it up :)

Thanks! Bird needs some work. Ill add a way to make Lab a more consistent and safe card. The reason the Beaters kill themselves on SS though is because Lab is meant to be there so they dont, which is another reason ill add another line of defense to Lab.
