Drunken Oni - 花 Blossom

EARTH | Level 4

[ Beast-Warrior | Effect ]

When this card is Normal Summoned:  Add 1 "Iwai" Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand (that card cannot be activated this turn).  While this card is face-up on the field:  "Iwai" Spell/Trap cards are returned to the Deck instead of being sent to the Graveyard.

Drunken Oni - 杜氏 Holy Brewer

EARTH | Level 4

[ Beast-Warrior | Effect ]

If an "Iwai" Spell/Trap card is activated:  You can Special Summon this card from your hand, but that card's effect is negated.  When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard:  Target 1 monster on the field; Change that monster's battle position, then add 1 "Iwai" Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand.

When this card is targeted for an attack:  You can activate an "Iwai" Spell/Trap card from your hand; This card gains 600 ATK.  If this card destroys a monster by battle:  Banish 1 "Iwai" Spell/Trap card from your Graveyard; Add 1 "Iwai" Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand.

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Drunken Oni" monster in your Graveyard.  Once per turn: Negate the effects of 1 card that targets this face-up card on the field.

EARTH | Level 5

[ Beast-Warrior | Effect ]

If an "Iwai" Spell/Trap card is activated:  You can Special Summon this card (from your hand).  Once per turn, if an "Iwai" Spell/Trap card is activated:  You can Draw 1 card, and if it's your turn; It becomes the End Phase.  You can only control 1 "Drunken Oni - 原 Genshu".

You can reveal 1 "Iwai" Spell/Trap card in your hand: Special Summon this card (from your hand), and if you do, destroy the revealed card.  If this card is Normal Summoned:  Add 1 "Iwai" Spell/Trap card from your Deck to your hand.  You can only control 1 "Drunken Oni - 杉 Sugi".

When this card is activated:  You can add 1 "Drunken Oni" monster from your Deck to your hand.

Return all face-up "Drunken Oni" monsters you control to the hand:  Special Summon an equal amount of "Drunken Oni" monsters from your hand.

Target 1 "Drunken Oni" monster you control:  That card cannot be destroyed by battle and gains 600 ATK.  If the target monster battles during this turn:  Banish all monsters it battled during the End Phase (regardless of where they are).

 

Iwai Revival Tea

[ Spell / Contiuous ]

Special Summon 2 "Drunken Oni" monsters from your Graveyard.  Negate the effects of all face-up monsters you control.  During the End Phase of the turn this card was activated:  Destroy it.

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Drunken Oni" monsters

If this card would be destroyed,  you can send 1 "Iwai" card from your hand to the Graveyard instead.  During the End Phase of your opponent's turn:  Draw 1 card.

When this card is Xyz Summoned:  Destroy all face-up Spell/Trap cards on the field.  Once per turn:  You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 "Drunken Oni" monster from your hand.  You must control a face-up Spell/Trap card to activate and apply this card's effect.]

You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) if you control 2 face-up "Iwai" cards.  Once per turn, during your Standby Phase:  You can add 1 "Drunken Oni" monster from your Deck to your hand, then discard 1 card,  You can only control 1 "Drunken Oni - Oni King".  If you do not control a face-up "Iwai" card:  Destroy this card.

First, OCG fixes and comments on some cards:

 

Drunken Oni - Sugi

The way the first effect is worded the Summon is the cost and the destruction the effect, which looks odd. Adding an "if you do" after the monster Summon should fix this issue:

You can reveal 1 "Iwai" Spell/Trap card in your hand: Special Summon this card (from your hand), and if you do, destroy the revealed card.

 

Iwai Sake:

The first effect seems to be permanent. Was that intentional?

 

Iwai Anticipation:

Either the effect is incomplete, or the last comma is a typo.

 

Pubmaster Iwai:

Built-in protection effects are normally continuous:

If this card would be destroyed,  you can send 1 "Iwai" card from your hand to the Graveyard instead.

 

 

Overall, the archetype seems really fun to play, and is apparently balanced unless I am missing a broken combo/loop.

With the Oni searching for Iwais, Pubhouse and Invitation searching for Iwai Traps and Oni respectively, plus Tenki support, it looks like the archetype has impressive deck thinning capabilities.
