Premise
In the year 2560, modern technology has advanced to the point of intergalactic travel, allowing thousands of human settlements to be established on various moons and Earth-like planets throughout the Milky Way galaxy. And yet humanity has barely scratched the surface of what is to be discovered. With millions of habitable worlds still yet to be explored, the wealthy megacorporations of Earth began to fund expeditions to study the uncharted alien planets - hiring those who seek adventure in the outer reaches of the galaxy. One seasoned veteran of space exploration, Elric Malcolm, has been hired by the Titan Pharmaceutical Conglomerate to form a crew and embark on a three-year voyage across the Milky Way. He and his crew are to explore uncharted worlds and collect material to send back to Titan for study. And now, the day of their departure has finally arrived. But this is not a story about Elric Malcolm and his crew. This is a story about a no-good thief posing as Elric Malcolm, stealing his starship, the Glory 7, and hightailing out of Earth with the unwary crew of ragtag amateur explorers still on board. A daring and dangerous adventure across the Milky Way awaits!

History
The year 2268, a brilliant group of physicists and astronomers consisting of the best minds from around the world proved the existence of dark energy to be real by building a device that could harness and synthesize the energy into a visible form. It was a discovery that fundamentally changed the world. Through extensive study along with months of trial and error, the scientists realized the potential of dark energy as a power resource are astronomical - nearly infinite. A substance that created no pollution and has the power to expand the universe; not to mention it made up roughly 70% of the known universe: it is the ultimate power source. With this new power source driving technological evolution, modern technology advanced thousands of time faster than it did in the last few centuries. By 2350, spacecrafts with the ability to warp travel, thanks to their complex dark energy engines, started to appear; these ships could zip entirely across the Milky Way galaxy from one end to the other in as little as ten years’ time. The age of intergalactic space exploration had arrived.

The superpowers, at the time, poured billions into the invention of a new machine - a machine that would help them step foot onto the Earth-like planets they had discovered a long time before but have never had access to until the creation of the dark energy engines; they called this new machine: the Acclimater. Acclimaters could read the atmosphere of an alien planet’s environment and help a person acclimate to that new environment in a matter of minutes, hence the name. With this new machine and the already-developed dark energy engines, humankind could now live beyond the reaches of Earth. Colonies, although small at first, were quickly established on several planets. For the first time in a long time in human history, the concept of life actually seemed new. Everything was new to these colonists: new environment, new animal and plant life, and new opportunities. While the colonists enjoyed their new homes, back on Earth, a war broke out between the remaining superpowers. Their claims on the new planets conflicted with one another and so that led to what is now known as the Union War.

The fighting lasted nearly two decades and, sure enough, countless lives were lost. In the end, the warring superpowers banded together, absorbed the remaining smaller countries of Earth, and created one massive government that ruled over the entire Earth and the new planets. The Interterran Union of a Common Earth, or I.U.C.E. and, even simpler, I.U., was born. Finally, a war between two countries will never happen again because, now, there are no more countries - just Earth. Unfortunately, small-scale civil wars had become more abundant. Most of these civil wars were caused by a resistance group called Zox who opposes the idea of a single mega government "ruling" all of mankind whether on Earth or off on the other worlds. Although numerous, the I.U. never saw Zox’s civil wars as more than nuisances. To this very day, Zox is still fighting the good fight even if they’ve resorted to more criminal tactics now. By the year 2500, thousands of human colonies can now be found scattered throughout the galaxy.

Strangely enough, intelligent, alien life form comparable to humankind has yet to be found, but with millions of habitable planets and moons in the Milky Way still waiting to be explored, chances of contact with a new race are still high. And now with new laws allowing certified civilians to man their own starship for intergalactic travel, the prospect of exploring these millions of untouched worlds became a bit less daunting. Huge and, certainly, wealthy megacorporations on Earth have begun to hire civilian help to embark on long journeys and explore the unfamiliar moons and planets. One of these corporations - the Titan Pharmaceutical Conglomerate - has agreed to fund such a voyage for veteran space explorer, Elric Malcolm and his crew. Without a proper crew of his own, Malcolm rushed to gather enough people for the three-year voyage and, now, his thrown-together team is to meet him for the first time during the day of their departure in the Earth capital of Utopia. Unbeknownst to Malcolm, however, is that he won’t be on his ship when it leaves. Instead, a thief on the run from the authorities will take his place as captain on this voyage.

General Statement
If you are applying for this RP then it is expected that you know the rules of YCM's Roleplay section and it is unnecessary for me to explain/remind you of the rules. Those who are unfamiliar of the rules or are new to RPing in general, I highly recommend you do not participate in this RP until you have developed, at the least, a general understanding of the Roleplay section's rules. This is an anime/manga-esque RP, so the story will be based on chapters, seasons, arcs, etc. You must respect the Fourth Wall to the best of your ability. Finally, you must understand that my word is final.

~The most important rule of all is to have fun!~

Terms of Acceptance
First off, you must know that applying for this RP means that you will have to be active, and I do take activity seriously. Do not, and I repeat, do not apply for this RP if you are not in it for the long run. If for some reason you can't be active during a part of the RP's progression, please inform me of your reason(s) via the OOC or PM. If this happens, I am allowed to control your character as I see fit until you return. Those who do apply will have a maximum of one character (and cannot be an antagonist) unless I say so otherwise. Remember, there are no reserves. I am accepting on a quality basis so take your time with your app and do your best. Good luck to everyone who decides to post an app!

I am currently looking to accept 3, possibly 4, participants. There might be a possibility of more spots being available in the future. There are no restrictions when it comes to creating your character. Just adhere to the information presented and you will be fine. Be as creative as possible when creating your character and hopefully you will have fun doing it.

1) In terms of rating, Astropunk is rated PG-16. It contains a medium to high amount of blood and gore, a medium to high amount of cursing, and low to medium amount of sexual content.

2) In terms of character creation, feel free to be as creative as you want in terms of appearance, personality, abilities, etc. There are no restrictions when it comes to naming your character as long as it's not something inappropriate or lacks sense. As for the appearance of your character, it is up for you to dictate how they look. There are certain roles that are needed for the crew that you can choose from including:
 • Second-in-Command x1
 • Main Pilot x1
 • Assistant Pilot x1
 • Mechanic x1
 • Systems Engineer x1
 • Cook x1
 • Doctor x1
 • Scientist (unlimited)
 • Mercenary (unlimited)
3) Blu's Posting Routine Rule: This RP follows a strict story structure and must be followed as so. Irrelevant posts will be warned. The posting style of this RP is turn-based, involving rounds. A round of posting consists of me posting then all other participants will post once, unless some circumstances prevent that from happening. After that round, a new round of posting will begin starting with me posting once more. After I have posted to begin a round, it doesn't matter who posts next as long as we reached the point where everybody posted once for that round. Although most of your posts will be dedicated to the progression of the story, you are allowed to have posts just for the sake of character development or interaction with other characters to build up relationships. However, this must not conflict with the main story. For example, if the current story is about saving someone and a character suddenly asks another character to go get something to eat, that would be a violation of the routine rule. There might also be downtime in which you (along with the other participants) can create and participate in side stories not relating to the main story.

4) The combat of this RP will mostly involve the use of guns, melee weapons, and the MOVA. Guns in this time still use bullets and cartridges but the projectiles are now propelled by a powerful electromagnetic field generator instead of gas pressure. This allows guns to be more accurate, vastly more reliable, and more damaging. Furthermore, it allows for the production of bullets to be incredibly cheaper. Melee weapons have been adapted to the futuristic setting in that they may have special properties such as a sword being wired to run a powerful current of electricity through its blade and so forth. The Multi-Objective Vocational Armament, or MOVA, is a device worn on the user's arm similar to a gauntlet. Some of its basic features include: a personal computer accessed via a floating screen display, a miniaturized, dark energy-powered motor that strengthens the user's arm by more than ten times the normal human strength, two miniature grappling hooks attached to incredibly dense and durable string that can be fired via a variety of controls, and a compartment containing millions of nanobots that can form into solid objects of nearly any kind. And beyond that, special software can be added to the MOVA for added features. The uses of the MOVA are essentially up to you to decide; just keep in mind that your character can only have one MOVA unit.

5) Your character's home will be on board the mid-class starship: the Glory Model 7 - or Glory 7 for short. This ship has enough rooms for up to fifteen people; more even if sorme of the crew shares rooms. It has all the necessary amenities including bathrooms, kitchen, medical bay, cargo bay, etc. and then some. A transport ship, the Glory 7 does not have any pre-installed weapons but, as with any warp travel-suitable starship, it does have a dark energy force field to protect it from high-speed debris and any other dangers. Its medical bay houses an Acclimater as well as a compartment where space suits are kept (the female space suits are more form fitting to the female body). The Glory 7 also holds two shuttles (note that neither shuttle has weapons) with the room capacity of up to five people each and a rover able to hold up to four people.
1. Astropunk (アストロプンク): The title of the RP. It is derived from the Greek word ástron meaning "star" and the word "punk". The whole title is a reference to science fiction sub-genres such as steampunk, cyberpunk, biopunk, etc. This RP can be described as a Space Western and/or Space Opera.

2. Glory Model 7: Otherwise known as the Glory 7 or, sometimes, plain Glory, it is the ship owned and captained by Elric Malcolm for use in the three-year voyage funded by the Titan Pharmaceutical Conglomerate. It is home to the main characters of this RP.

3. Titan Pharmaceutical Conglomerate: One of Earth's largest and most wealthy megacorporations, as its name suggests, Titan deals in the research, development, manufacture, and sell of pharmaceutical products. Titan has funded the crew of the Glory 7 to embark on a three-year voyage to research unfamiliar planets and collect organic specimens for study. Titan's headquarters is located in the Earth capital of Utopia.

4. Warp Travel: Despite what it suggests, warp travel is an entirely different method of travel. The dark energy-powered engine of a starship bends the fabric of space to radically shorten the distance a ship needs to travel from one location to another. The distortion of space can be plainly seen as light from stars seem twisted and bent; however, there are no visible effects on either the ship or its content.

5. Acclimater: A machine designed to help a person rapidly acclimate to the alien environment of an Earth-like planet; eliminating the need of a specialized space suit. Connected to sensors on the exterior of a ship, the Acclimater scans various aspects of a new environment and is able to recreate a less intense version of that same environment within its confines. Complete acclimation takes no more than a few minutes and the effects last until the individual needs to acclimate to a new environment.

6. MOVA: An acronym for "Multi-Objective Vocational Armament", the MOVA is a wearable tool designed for nearly any situation imaginable. In the simplest terms, it is a futuristic Swiss army knife. Aside from some basic features, the MOVA is fully upgradable with special software that can be downloaded straight from the unit, itself. Only one MOVA can be worn by an individual as regulated by a registry database of active users.

7. Union War: A war between the remaining superpowers of Earth that took place in the year 2443, the Union War arose from conflicting claims of which superpower owned which planets. With nearly two decades of fighting and millions of lives lost, the war finally ended when the leaders of the warring superpowers met and decided it was time to absolve all the countries left of Earth in favor of creating one single government.

8. I.U.C.E.: An acronym for the "Interterran Union of a Common Earth", the I.U.C.E., otherwise known as the I.U. or IU, is the result of the Union War. It is the single ruling body that governs all of Earth and the human-colonized planets in the Milky Way. The IU is led by a council consisting of five members who are each advised by a council of their own.

9. Zox: The reaction to the forming of the IU, Zox is a resistance group fighting for the separation and independence of previous countries and their citizens. In their prime, Zox had millions of members and waged numerous civil wars against the IU. Unfortunately, Zox's numbers have dwindled greatly and now they have resorted to criminal activity and using more underhanded methods to reach their goal.

"If someone shoots at you, you shoot right back at 'em. There's no two ways about it."

Personal Information
Name: Elric Malcolm
Alias(es): El; Captain; Cap; Sir
Age: 31
Sex: Male
Date of Birth: August 18, 2529
Family: James Malcolm (Fake Father; Deceased); Mercy Washburne Malcolm (Fake Mother; Alive); Stanley Malcolm (Fake Brother; Alive)
Position on Crew: Captain
Elric Malcolm is a particularly tall man at a height of 188 cm (6'02") which is complimented by a healthy weight - for his height - of 79 kg (174 lbs). With his chin-length brown hair parted down the middle, golden brown eyes, sharp, chiseled features, and a muscular but not overwhelming physique, Elric is considered quite dashing by some. A few battle scars can be found on his torso and limbs - namely on his back, chest, stomach, left forearm and leg - scars that he had received during his participation in several certain wars. Inked horizontally across his upper left arm is an unusual tattoo - a symbol unrecognizable to the normal person but holds quite a bit of meaning for people like Elric. He owns a variety of long-sleeved, collared shirts - all worn buttoned up except for the first couple of buttons - in a variety of different warm colors and one white; his favorites of which being auburn, maroon, and sepia. He also has the tendency of rolling up the sleeves to the middle of his forearms. Over these shirts, Elric dons his signature sleeveless black vest that is noticeably worn; he usually wears it unbuttoned. At the lower half of his body, Elric dresses in slightly-loose trousers which are usually tan or fallow in color but he will sometimes wear darker colors, dark brown boots which he tucks his trousers into, white socks, and brown gun holster fastened to a brass, buckled belt of the same color. Oftentimes when off of the ship, Elric can be seen sporting a dark brown coat which is also noticeably worn. In this case, he wears his vest underneath buttoned. Finally, his MOVA is exclusively worn on his left arm.

Captain Elric Malcolm - real name withholding - is, first and foremost, a renegade at heart. He rejects the ideas and beliefs of the Interterran Union especially their assumed right to "govern" the entire human race and he is particularly vocal about his disdain. Because of this, he has chosen to follow the life of a criminal - although he, himself, believes his lifestyle to be a righteous one because he's "fighting against the IU dogs". He also believes he has a strong sense of nobility, choosing to only steal from those who, in his opinion, "deserves it". He has never once stolen from the poor or needy as it goes against his morality. Quite the opposite, he has what could be described as a "Robin Hood complex". Despite all of this, he is an anti-hero who is not above killing others when it's necessary for his gain. Nor is he above petty theft, smuggling, and the likes. But he does make an conscious effort to rationalize his actions as noble or valiant such as stealing from other criminals. Elric is the kind of person to shoot first and skip the questions; he even disregards fairness in fights. Nearly a decade of dangerous living has earned Elric an assortment of enemies; all of whom wishing to track him down for more than just a conversation.

Despite his handsome features, Elric is not the least bit charming due to his tendency of giving others the cold shoulder and not being able to read other people's emotions very well - even if he does these things unintentionally. Once a devout Christian, Elric, nowadays, has entirely lost his faith in God and chooses to believe that only his own hands can decide his fate. There is strong reason to believe that this was the result of him having been on the losing side of all wars he's been in; coupled with the tragedies he had witnessed during the wars. He has, however, managed to keep his faith in humanity, putting great stock in the fundamental goodness of people. When it comes to himself, although he refuses to admit it, Elric is a damaged individual putting up a stubborn facade. Behind the scenes, Elric is very protective and loyal to his crew. Any harm that comes to his crew is, as he believes, a direct assault on him and he is nearly unmerciful when it comes to this regard. A natural leader - stemming from his roles in the wars he's been in - Elric inspires loyalty and trust among his crew. He loves his crew as much as he loves his ship which is the highest of compliments in his repertoire.
Combat Information
Strength(s): Sharpshooter; Expert Brawler; Proficient Criminal
Weakness(es): Very Limited Equipment; Technologically Ignorant; Reputation

1oDYjmL.jpg

Elric's signature weapon, this gun is a custom-built Liberty series, model 60 revolver by the famous Allied Arms gun manufacturer. Its revolving chamber is fully replaceable and, in fact, is the magazine of the gun, meaning instead of slowly loading six more rounds, the user can swiftly replace the entire revolving chamber. Capable of rapid fire thanks to its fully automatic firing mode, this revolver can put all six shots into a target in as little as three seconds. It even has a cannon mode that allows the user to fire an extra powerful shot after a quick charge up. Built-in OLED lights alert its user when it has run out of rounds, when it is full, and when it is in need of repair - all of which are customizable options. Finally, with its heavy front end, it can also be used as good melee weapon.

Ws90xx9.png

The Trekker Multi-Function Bowie Knife is a widely popular tool for all self-respecting outlaws and cutthroats. Maybe because it sports a variety of hellish, pain-inducing modes including, but not limited, to: saw, lacerate, splinter, bisect, and more. Sporting a miniature dark energy motor, this knife runs with absolute efficiency and has a specialized mode to sharpen the blade in less than a minute. Finally, the motor is capable of running a powerful current through the blade for even more shockingly good fun.

Documentation Forger: A highly illegal software, the Document Forger does exactly what its name implies and it does it with extreme accuracy and attention to detail. Whether producing the content of a document onto a blank canvas or altering certain aspects of an already-existing document, this software will make sure the user gets away without a hitch - most of the time anyways. It still requires the user to be familiar with the process, the tool, itself, and whatnot. But to an expert criminal, this feature is a must have on any modified MOVA unit.

Criminal Database: Built into Elric's MOVA unit is an entire database of criminals registered by the Interterran Union. Each criminal record lists an expansive array of information ranging from their name to their latest charged offense. Needless to say, such a feature was obtained through illegal means and to be caught be the IU in the act of using it could very easily cost you your life. However, such a useful feature is quintessential for someone like Elric Malcolm - or whatever his real name is - considering there's a whole galaxy of baddies looking for him.

Dark Energy Shield: Another useful and widely-used feature - not to mention it's legal to have - the Dark Energy Shield program allows the MOVA to produce a protective panel of dark energy ranging from the size of a dinner plate to the height of the user's entire body. Of course, the bigger the shield means the more work the MOVA unit has to do which affects the cool down time. A bigger shield means the longer the user has to wait until a new shield can be produced. Onto the benefits of the shield, it will basically protect the user from most small and medium-sized firearms and even some types of explosives. A damage meter on the MOVA will let the user know when the shield has taken enough damage to disappear. The shield can even be color-customized to the user's liking.

Criminal Skills: His nearly one decade of criminal activity has taught him some extremely useful albeit illegal skills. His repertoire includes such skills as: breaking and entering, forging important documentation, setting up a heist, escaping from the authorities, and so forth. Admittedly, his breaking and entering skills are not the best in the galaxy considering there has been a recent implementation of new security technologies and for someone as tech-savvy as Elric, that could prove to be quite the challenge to overcome. With that said, he is comfortably familiar with the tools installed on his MOVA that are used for criminal purposes. For example, forging documents comes surprisingly easy for Elric and it has proven over the years to be quite the necessity. His ability to plan heists, go through with them, and then escape - usually unharmed - is also very impressive. Finally, his knowledge of the criminal mind as well as having a criminal database installed on his MOVA also adds to his skill set.

Seasoned Soldier: One of the few things actually known about Elric's past is that he had participated in several wars - most likely referencing the civil wars waged by the Zox resistance group. Because of this, Elric is no stranger to the battlefield or prolonged gun fights which is a key skill to possess out in space. It's believed that Elric held fairly high ranks during the wars and so that has contributed to his innate leadership abilities. All of this translates to a cool head during the heat of a battle which, essentially, keeps you alive. Finally, his experience in wars has contributed to his amazing sharpshooting skills; making him quite lethal in any firefight.

Self-Defense: Possibly a result from the wars he fought, Elric is proficient with self-defense fighting tactics and the likes. He knows how to utilize nearly all parts of his body as either a shield or weapon - handy in any weaponless situations. Furthermore, he has learn to use his surroundings and objects within those surroundings to his advantage better than the average brawler. Although proficient, Elric is not exactly a master of self-defense and can still be easily overpowered by a more skilled individual. Despite that, he knows enough to not get beaten in a bar fight.
Other Tool(s): Non-lethal Pulse Grenades; Vials of Thermite; Miniature Laser Lance

Other Information
 • Captain Elric Malcolm's Theme Song: Justice Doesn't Always Wear a Badge
 • Although his real name is unknown, Elric is an Old English name meaning "Wise ruler" and Malcolm stems from the Scottish phrase Máel Coluim meaning "Disciple of Saint Columba".
 • Elric is, personally, adverse to the idea of romance between crew members, wishing to keep it "strictly professional".
 • Elric was born in the human settlement of Trinity located on Metis - one of Jupiter's many moons. His family migrated to Earth when he was seven.
 • Elric has strict rules about his cabin on board Glory 7: always locked, always knock, don't ever knock.
 • Elric always affectionately refers to Glory 7 as a she.
"You don't have time to think up there. If you think, you're dead."

Personal Information
Name: Gavin Shepard
Alias(es): Ace, Maverick
Age: 24
Sex: Male
Date of Birth: May 22nd, 2536
Family: Pete Shepard (Father; Alive), Charlotte Williams Shepard (Mother; Alive), Mitchell Shepard (Younger Brother; Alive)
Position on Crew: Main Pilot
7f24046e-8bb9-4271-aa6a-8a132b0c113d.jpg

Standing at 5'9" (175 cm) and weighing in at 145 lbs is Gavin Shepard. He has short brown hair that brings out his reddish amber eyes in the right lighting. His body is toned-well, for a twenty-year old male and is quite agile to boot. The clothing that is shown above would be Gavin's relaxing attire, as he has a habit of lounging around in his normal clothes than the space suit or protocol required attire. The normal relaxing attire that Gavin sports usually consists of his favorite black and red t-shirt, black jeans, black boots which he keeps his jean bottoms covering over them, along with his father's old pilot's jacket that he was given after his graduation. Finally, his MOVA is usually worn on his left arm.

In Gavin's academy training, he was taught to put his team first, don't make hasty decisions, and to treat whatever you pilot as if it was an extension of yourself. Needless to say, Gavin has kept two of those three in line, in some occasions.

The usual side to Gavin is his pilot mentality, which is prone to adapting to quickly to any situation that he's given. Because of his quick adapting, Gavin is able to perform his duties well under any pressure thrown his way; this is one of his best qualities. His academy trainer said that there was one thing he liked about him as a pilot...and that was "Your arrogance in your skills as a pilot". With that in his mind, Gavin always takes pride in his skills, even to the point of arrogance which sometimes can be his biggest strength or his biggest weakness.

When he isn't piloting (and that's a very rare case), Gavin is usually writing letters to his family. In ways he may not show it, the young pilot still holds a soft spot for his family and enjoys sending them letters from time to time to tell of his exploits that he's come across through his new career. Because of this, he feels a strong connection with any crew or team he comes in contact with, always putting them and their needs first before his own.

Within combat, Gavin acts as he does when piloting: thinking quickly and taking risks. He prefers working with a team, as to always have someone watching his back as a sort of "wingman" would. He doesn't make any sarcastic or snark comments at the enemy, as it would only provoke them to dangerng innocents even more.

 • Gets easily attached to any ship he pilots
 • Arrogant in his skills
dominator___psycho_pass_by_amaterasu111-

The Custom G-13 of the Orion series comes fully equipped with a thirteen round magazine. The G-13's most known feature is the Rapid-Fire Mode, which, once locked on to a specific target, will shoot most or all of the ammo into the desired target. The second feature of the Orion G-13 is the Stun-Gun Mode, which the secondary barrel of this mode is located under the primary gun's barrel, able to release a quick jolt of electricity to its target to stun them.
5a86b7791b947e4cf778aa54dcff7d43-d3jo700

An unusual dark energy weapon that acts both as a melee weapon as well as a long-ranged weapon. When thrown, the dark energy motor it has, helps propel itself to a desired target. Not just being used as a long-ranged weapon, it has a buzz-saw mode, helpful when in a situation that needs some or any walls or doors cut through. Its melee purposes basically are to defend and to even strike back in a manner to that of a sword's blade. When unused, Gavin has it in its folded appearance hooked up to the bottom of his MOVA.
Surveillance-Bots: A feature of the MOVA that sends out a series nanobots to survey an unknown area and from their data, be able to create a very detail-oriented map display of the entire area on the MOVA.

Artificial Intelligence Synchronization: Built into Gavin's MOVA is an Artificial Intelligence program that houses an A.I. known as VEX (Virtual EXperiment) who has served as Gavin's Co-Pilot/Wingman. VEX can upload himself (if able) into any ship that Gavin pilots to aid him with whatever he needs. While VEX is uploaded into the ship, Gavin can remotely interact with his faithful A.I. unit via the MOVA.

Flight of The Aquila: The latest feature to Gavin's MOVA, allowing his weapon The Aquila which is located on the underside of his MOVA to be fired from the MOVA itself. Once his MOVA gives Gavin the green light, after the targeting phase, The Aquila fires from the MOVA to its desired target.

Dark Energy Shield: The Dark Energy Shield program allows the MOVA to produce a protective panel of dark energy ranging from the size of a dinner plate to the height of the user's entire body. The color-customization for Gavin's MOVA Dark Energy Shield is white.
Piloting Skills: His constant augmented reality training along with on the job training, has given Gavin the skills as a excellent pilot. His skills currently consist of evasive maneuvering in any situation, out flying other ships that try to take them on, as well as even being able to pilot any style of ship under the sun.

A.I. Maintenance: Due to his experience with his A.I. unit, VEX, Gavin is quite knowledgeable in working with A.I. and even keeping them well maintained. By spending his time with VEX, he has been able to know how to properly upgrade A.I., perform back-ups of the A.I., and even maintaining their programming protocol so they can live a long life (in A.I. years).

Other Information

 • Main Pilot Gavin Shepard's Theme Songs: Mighty Wings by Cheap Trick
 • Gavin is a Welsh name for "White Hawk" as well as the late medieval form of the name "Gawain" from the Arthur legends and Shepard is an English name for "Sheep-herder". Shepard is also a reference of Alan Shepard, the first man in space. Shepard could also be a reference to Mass Effects' Commander Shepard.
 • Gavin's given Aliases Ace and Maverick mean the following: Ace being "a person who excels at a particular sport or other activity" and Maverick "an unorthodox or independent-minded person". Maverick is also a hint to his all time favorite old time movie Top Gun which feature's Tom Cruise's character with the same call sign.
 • Gavin's weapons are both named after their respective constellations of the same name: Orion Custom G-13 is named after Orion and The Aquila is named after Aquila.
FnIPxC4.png
"Reporting for duty."

Personal Information
Name: Leta Darnell
Alias(es): "Uncia"; "UI:6 Agent Darnell"
Age: 25
Sex: Female
Date of Birth: 11th of November, 2535
Family: Father (Deceased), Mother (Alive), Step-Father (Alive)
Position on Crew: Mercenary
Leta, standing at 5'7 and weighing 64 kgs, is distinguishable by her pale skin, ruby eyes and long, light blue hair. Her body shape is attributed as a Banana/I Shape, reflecting her waistline is less than 9 inches smaller than her hips and bust: her measurements are 32F-26-34 inches. Leta has a large bust, an F-Cup, which serves as complimentary for her adept seduction techniques she employs during the course of missions should they be required, though usually regards them as nothing but back sores. She has a tribal tattoo on the right side of her torso, reaching from her waist to her hip which she solely attributes it to as a 'funny story.'
KRhZiko.png

RUy4RdQ.png

Many people have two faces. In Leta, this expression could not be more fitting, though these distinct two 'faces' are nothing sans a division between her work and her personal life.

More frequently seen is her work personality, which in particular details a very professional mannerism. She is well spoken and expresses firm loyalty to authority figures - firm, but not unwavering; it is not uncommon for Leta to question, and doubt superior figures. As a UI:6 Agent, her assigned mission (which remains undisclosed until discovered) takes priority to her over her tasks assigned on this mission on the Glory 7, and conflicts between the two will be met with a course of action better suited to maintaining her duties as a UI:6 opperative. In addition to these traits, Leta's professional façade is also attributed with a generally sociable - in saying this, she is quite a skilled silver-tongue and uses said tongue adeptly. She is not against using seduction as a technique due to its success rate, and can come across as a playful flirt when doing such.

As 'Leta' in the sense of being herself, and not when she's at work, she retains her loyalty towards authoritative figures when deserved and her extrovert nature, however is more notably conservative and reserved about herself. While content with being one whom can be confided in, drawing out her own stories requires a sound foundation in a relationship with her. She is right-wing, believing that hierarchy and social inequality are a necessary truth though, on face value, come across as unfriendly. She is open-minded, nonetheless, and is not against learning of different cultures - she remains stoic by her own beliefs, but has no mind to preach these beliefs upon others as she feels said stance is personal and for the individual to decide. She is very much a liberal person, in that she believes that so long as it does not cause her concern, nor does it harm someone, Leta wouldn't be bothered by something - it is difficult to irritate her. Most of this, however, is but the surface of Leta's personality. Those who dig deeper and persevere will discover much more about her.

When engaged in combat, she enjoys making snark remarks before silencing an adversary, but only when a quick dispatchment is certain and stealth is not of major priority. Otherwise, she is quite a stealth fighter, silent and deadly. A key weakness, however, is that while she is incredibly dangerous to confront in single combat, Leta overwhelms easily, giving off visible symptoms such as uneasiness and rapid eye movements, attempting but failing to keep track of the enemy. She is a solo fighter, in that she will never join a partner in a fighting technique and will remain independent when fighting. This, however, does not mean she isn't a team player as she will happily help an ally in combat, albeit using her own fighting techniques. It is important that she is not a fan of killing when it is not necessary, as she'd rather knock them out or tranquillise them. She also objects to killing those unable to defend themselves.
Combat Information
Strength(s):
‣ Espionage Agent Training
‣ Seduction Intuition
‣ Pressure Point Intuition
Weakness(es):
‣ Low Durability
‣ Less effective in larger crowds.
‣ Weak against non-organic or armoured enemies, as well as lifeforms she is unfamiliar with.

JlU7a9g.png
The Argus™ Eclipse Automatic Pistol is a standard choice firearm to UI:6 Operatives. Argus™, an elite military firearms manufacturer, provides all UI:6 Agents with the Eclipse pistol. The UI:6 favours this weapon in particular due to, among its features, the Armour-Piercing Rounds serving as an agent's best means of dealing with armoured adversaries. Not only this, but Argus™ distribute these weapons with their own-brand suppressors and laser guides, all of which serve to further aid in the stealth and accuracy of each shot an agent may fire at any given time.

UI:6 Stealth Software: As any UI:6 Agent would, Leta's MOVA is equipped with the mandatory, state-of-the-art camouflage deployment software, exclusively available for the Union Intelligence Agency's Operatives, naturally. It makes use of manipulating the Nanobots the MOVA dispatches. By having the Nanobots coat Leta's entirety, they make use of the cloaking software, effectively camouflaging her into her surroundings. While this is the current pinnacle of Stealth MOVA Software, it suffers a serious flaw - while cloaking in Space is never a hard task due to the ship's inability to cast a shadow, when applied to a person the cloaking does not prevent the casting of a shadow.

UI:6 InterCom: The second, and last piece of software mandatory for an operative to yield as per the Union Intelligence Agency, The UI:6 InterCom allows Leta to communicate with a receiver at the UI:6 Mission Control through extremely tight and secure communication streams. Not only this, but using the InterCom enables her to access the UI Database equally as secure, thus enabling her to keep track of her progress.

Tazer Touch™: A simple piece of software relatively available to the public, Leta's MOVA can dispatch Nanobots upon the tips of her fingers and the palm of her hand, which themselves use electrodes to discharge electrical currents upon a target. A very effective weapon to quickly dispatch a target, this does require a reasonably and expectable recharge time before it can be dispatched again.

UI:6 Agent Training: Leta Darnell has received training exclusive to the Union Intelligence Agency, Branch 6. This branch is charged with supplying the government of the I.U. with foreign intelligence. The danger that stem from this are vast - in response, an operative is trained in highly adept martial arts. This training has Leta as a human weapon, potentially fatal in close quarter combat due to both a combination of adept knowledge of pressure points on the human body, well-trained senses, and a move-set of techniques devised on quickly silencing a target whether through unconsciousness or, quite rarely sans a mission requirement or necessity, assassination. Furthermore, she is adept at using many kinds of weaponry, having adept marksmanship though preferring to use a weapon of more subtlety in favour of her stealth style. However, the nature of Leta's work is not that of a war-zone - she can be overwhelmed by numbers.

Persuasion Expert: Leta has not only trained her body, but also her mind to that of a UI:6 Agent. Firstly, she is aware of her charms and has developed skills in order to use her feminine wiles to control and manipulate those whom she exerts them upon. In addition to this, Leta has also studied the art of persuasion through language and in doing so makes use of a sharp, silver tongue. What is important to note is, not only has she learnt the art of persuasion in many forms, but in learning these forms she has made herself aware of when these, in turn, are being used, especially upon herself.
Other Tools: n/a

Other Information
‣ Leta's first name is a variant of the Latin Name Leto, meaning "The Hidden One", while her surname is an English Surname, composed of the Old English elements derne "hidden, secret" and halh "nook," hence "hidden/secret nook." These all make reference to her job as a Spy.
‣ Leta's Theme Songs are "Calling to the Night", by Natasha Farrow, and "Yell Dead Cell", composed by Norihiko Hibino.
‣ UI:6, and the Union Intelligence Agency, is a reference to the British Military Intelligence Agency. Leta's branch, UI:6, corresponds to MI:6, and thus parallels its role of supplying the Government with foreign intelligence.
‣ Leta has an incredible fascination of hamburgers, and a sheer hatred of tacos.
‣ Leta's alias, "Uncia", is the genus of the Snow Leopard, which is again another 'funny story'.
‣ Leta f*cking hates...Kyrosians...

gzqN2EZ.png
"Just keep hitting it until it works."
Personal Information

Name: Jyre Eyv
Alias(es): Wire
Age: 34
Sex: Male
Date of Birth: October 23, 2526
Family: Gris Eyv (Father; Deceased) || Nina Syk-Eyv (Mother; Deceased)
Position on Crew: Mechanic
rvlyYMI.jpg

Jyre's parents, Gris and Nina Eyv were born and raised on a small colony on Kyros, a planet orbiting KPS-A0394, a binary star system approximately 532LY away from Earth. Nina died in 2526, during childbirth. Gris raised his new son, Jyre, on his own. The two lived happily together. Jyre would often speak of his dream to fly across the galaxy, and one day visit the fabled Earth he had heard of in his bedtime stories. Kyros was a very rocky planet. The terrain did not bode well for plant life, so food had to be grown in controlled greenhouse environments. Many Kyrosians dreamed of living on Earth, but were not able to procure means of getting there. Dreams were fueled every night when the Terran sun became visible in the sky. The community was small, and everyone treated each other as family.

After Jyre turned 16, his father passed away. Having trouble with coping, he turned to studies. He began reading books on engineering and warp travel. These books had been mostly ignored by the Kyrosians, as they couldn't understand the intricacies and complexities of warp technology. However, Jyre devoted all his time to reading about warp travel, and had a firm grasp on the ideas. With help from his friends and neighbors, he managed to build a small one-person shuttlecraft by the time he was 25. With a heartwarming send-off, he made his way to Earth. Along the way, he was picked up by the IUS Pisces, a voyager-class starship that had been sent on a 5-year exploration mission. He told his story to the crew, and was given room on the ship, albeit having to sleep in the shuttle bay. During his time on the Pisces, he became apprentice to the ship's mechanic, Terrance Marvus, learning all that he could about how dark energy worked and hoping to one day fill the same position. He was made an honorary crew member, and was trained and treated as such, except for the fact that he still slept in the shuttle bay. His pre-existing knowlege and experience in the field of warp technology impressed his mentor. During downtime, Marvus would often tell Jyre about life on Earth.

While working on the door to the ship's cargo bay, the door malfuctioned and snapped shut quickly, catching Jyre's right arm. The blood vessels ruptured and the humerus was crushed. The ship's medic was ultimately unable to repair the damage, and was forced to amputate the arm. For about a year, Jyre not only learned to be left-handed, but also learned to do things with only one hand. In 2555, the Pisces returned to Earth, where Marvus invited Jyre to live with him and his family, as well as helping him get a new arm. For about a year, Jyre had a simple prosthetic, that was more like a claw and could only grab things. However, Jyre managed to acquire his Earth citizenship in 2556, and registered for a MOVA. He got the MOVA ExModule, which replaced his right arm with a more powerful robotic replacement.

Jyre's time on the Pisces taught him to respect the chain of authority, and will always follow orders, so long as he hears it. When he begins working, he gets so engulfed in the project that he shuts out everything else around him, including his superiors. He takes everything seriously, and will work tirelessly to fix even the most superficial problem. For example, he once worked for 24 whole hours without sleep to modify a ship's warp engine to increase its output by only 10%, after a crew member mentioned it once. This greatly impressed Captain Malcolm (the real one), placing him on the Glory 7 crew. Jyre is very confident in his skills, although he rarely boasts about it and doesn't even mention it unless it pops up in conversation. Jyre's experience on the IUS Pisces has led him to only be truly comfortable when sleeping in the shuttle bay. That being said, he rarely goes back into his assigned quarters. During his downtime, he often thinks about his home back on Kyros, and hopes to tell everyone about the time he spent on Earth. He still has a sentimental attachment to his familial ties, even if they aren't blood related.

In combat, Jyre is very aggressive. Just as when he works, he becomes engulfed in a single task: "Defeat the opponent." That becomes his primary objective, and defense is thrown out the window. He isn't very team-friendly when fighting, only paying attention to where the opponent is, sometimes causing "friendly fire." He is aware of his combat personality, however, and actively tries to avoid combat. He has only ever been in a fight once in his life. It was after he arrived on Earth. Marvus took him to a bar, and Jyre ended up getting in a fight with another patron. When asked about it, he always asserts that he won the fight, even though it was broken up before anyone could have gotten seriously hurt.
Combat Information

Strength(s): Jyre has great proficiency in engineering and mechanics, and a keen judgement for modifications in his field. His intense focus enabled him to master the complexities of dark energy engineering and warp mechanics. The loss of his dominant right hand forced him to learn to become left handed. It did not come easily, but he eventually overcame it.
Weakness(es): Jyre tends to be overly aggressive in combat, ignoring defense and focusing solely on getting in hits. This tends to cause him to get hit by otherwise easily dodged moves. He is easily predicted and has a terrible poker face. His strength is uneven, with his right arm being the ExModule.
MOVA ExModule: Jyre's prosthetic arm also doubles as his MOVA. It increases his strength to almost 2000% of a normal human's. It is used primarily for work purposes, but is commonly used in combat. It is made from a flexible metallic allow, which allows it to become much more resistant to hits, and allow it to become more flexible. It becomes hard and brittle when cold, however.

Vibroclaws: These very dangerous retractable blades are attached to the ExModule. They can cut through most common materials with ease. The blades draw energy from the arm's power source, vibrating at intense speeds to allow it to slice through almost anything. The blades also are capable of carrying a small electrical current. They can also be ejected when necessary via high-pressure CO2 canisters stored behind the claws. Both the canisters and the claws are easily replaced.

Myrmidon MX: When Jyre needs range, he wields the Myrmidon MX, a high-powered concussion grenade launcher. It has a very small effective casualty range, at only 9.3 feet, but can still cause great damage at up to 30 feet. It can load up to four shells at a time. The shells can also be detonated remotely, primarily for demolition purposes. The shells weigh seven pounds and are approximately the size of a liter-sized water bottle. Jyre doesn't normally carry extra shells, and can normally suffice with the four in the barrel.

Material Analyzer: Common among scientists and researchers, Jyre's MOVA is used to scan, record, or otherwise observe any aspect of an environment or material. While some functions are shared with that of an Acclimator, the MA is much more precise and focused, and is easily capable of detecting a material's chemical makeup and molecular structure. This allows him to detect any flaws or abnormalities in the ship's structure.

Detonator: Jyre's MOVA is capable of detecting nearby explosive devices and returning details about said device. Additionally, it is able to send a signal to that device and cause it to detonate. It is used primarily in conjunction with the Myrmidon's shells to detonate them prematurely.

Bomb-Disposal Bots: Jyre's MOVA is also capable of controlling a swarm of nanobots, which can be used to defuse and dispose of bombs, complementary to the Detonator's function. However, the nanobots must have an accessible path to the device to be able to defuse it. The nanobots are also able to repair and perform maintenance on parts of the ship, as well as other things that a normal human would be too large to do.

Dark Energy Disruptor: Dark Energy Disruptors are not very widespread, and are a relatively new technology. It isn't illegal, but it's in a sort of gray area. It works by emitting a quick, high-energy pulse, which disrupts dark energy motors and causes them to shut down temporarily. However, the way dark energy motors work prevent any long-term damage to the motor. Its effects are similar to that of a computer shutting down and restarting, with downtime lasting around a minute or two. Using the DED from Jyre's ExModule, however, will cause it to overheat and go into a cool-down mode, causing it to be come dead weight. Its maximum effective range is about a 25 foot radius, although it can still cause small glitches much farther than that. At most, a dark energy motor just outside of the effective range will experience a sort of hiccup, hanging for less than a second before continuing to operate normally.

Percussive Maintenance: That's the more scientific term for hitting something to make it work. And it usually works. Sometimes parts may become slightly dislodged, so a bit of force is all that's necessary to put it back into place.

Proficiency in Warp Mechanics: Warp Mechanics are very tricky and difficult to learn, and can have catastrophic results when done improperly. For example, if high-energy build-up is not dispersed properly before dropping below warp, it will cause a massive nuclear explosion that will most likely destroy the ship and everything around it. Regardless, Jyre is one of the few people who are able to fit a shuttlecraft with warp capability.

Intense Focus: While working, Jyre loses track of the world around him, becoming completely enveloped by the task at hand. He may respond to someone trying to speak to him while working, but it will most often be an unintelligible groan.
Other Tool(s): Wrenches, screwdrivers, a bunch of mechanic stuff.

Other Information

 • Jyre rhymes with Wire; that's where he got the nickname.
 • Jyre's quarters are mostly empty. He goes there only to shower and change clothes. He sleeps and keeps all his things in the shuttle bay.
 • Jyre doesn't fully grasp the concept of romantic love. He was raised by a single father, and focused on studying warp technology most of his life. He never made any romantic connections of Kyros, and has been engulfed by work while on Earth. He does, however, form a camaraderie with the other crew members.
 • During Jyre's time living with Marvus, he became a fan of one of the most popular and longest running science fiction shows: Doctor Who. His favorite is the 11th Doctor. He often hums the Doctor's theme while working.
 • He doesn't normally eat meat. Kyros was primarily agricultural, and meat was rare. The taste and texture is odd to him, although he doesn't hate it, he prefers vegetables and fruit.
