And assuming Jack can't have Red Dragon Archfiend due to it being a Signer Dragon, what is this dragon that looks like it? Yellow Jacket Posted May 17, 2015 Report Share Posted May 17, 2015 Well due to if this is an alternate timeline and I'm also assuming Yusei isn't in this one, then the Signer Dragons are incomplete unless 1. Yusei does exist but is elsewhere 2. Somebody else has Stardust 3. A different dragon is in Stardust's place as a Signer or 4. Signer dragons just shouldn't even exist. I'm pretty sure that the Signer dragons are linked to the Crimson dragon but I don't think its in this universe. Either that or Red Dragon Archfiend is just a normal card and there's nothing special to it in this universe(sorta kills its badassery for me then). But I can't wait to see the BW support I have high faith that will be in there. But as for Jack, I either want to see him duel Yugo for a possible evolution of Clear Wing or Declan because he's the only other one I can see with a possibility of defeating Jack. Βyakuya Posted May 18, 2015 Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 Now that it is mentioned, if this truly is a parallel universe from 5Ds, it means that while it is true we see the same Crow Hogan and Jack Atlas, there's a lot of different things we might not know about or can't disclose to be 100% true. This Crow here seems to have the same personality and motives when it comes to protecting children, and he even has the same criminal tattoos when he messed with Security. Yet it's possible Arc-V Crow is much different due to the fact that Neo-Neo Domino City is a thing, and the counterpart to Satellite in this dimension are the slums, so it's kinda hard to know how he developed and even if he known Yusei at all. He even uses a different boss instead of possibly Armor Master as well. Apparently he has a posse now too. Same for Jack as well. Though in the opening, he seems to have that kind of: "I'm tired of your shit" face, or just generally something showing great apathy. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, the fact that Crow doesn't bring out Yuugo when talking to Yuya during the preview seems to indicate he never met the boy before (either that or he's immune to the hypnotic plot device that makes all characters uncapable of telling the Yuus apart one another). Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted May 18, 2015 Report Share Posted May 18, 2015 [spoiler=Thoughts on script] If that's accurate, then it would appear Roger finally figured out that Yuya is innocent and telling the truth (if it took all of that to figure out). Although we'll have to see. Of course, we can only guess what'll happen to Yuya after this whole mess. Then again, the script was pretty accurate last episode; so likely will be this time. I'll watch the sub, but just bear in mind that my opinion on Yuya wasting time with his entertainment still stands. I know he wants to settle things peacefully, but he could've done that without doing Entertainment Duels; just fight normally but try not to brutally crush the Security. [/spoiler] At least we know ARC-V Crow uses Blackwings (although a different series), so it might suggest ARC-V Jack will use a similar Deck to what 5Ds did. Sawatari has a big mouth, and spilled all of their secrets to Security. Now if you had your Yosenjus, you would've beaten the Security good. Reira proved to be useless this episode. He can win the tournaments all he wants, but is too afraid to fight without Reiji around. Although I suppose I can cut him some slack because he's still a small child, but even so... Roger finally figured out that Yuya isn't the guy Security's looking for; guess Yuya's wasting time made them see the errors. Of course, Yuya might be in some trouble since he did trifle with Security a bit (even if it was a misunderstanding). Everything he did was in character for him. Serena not wanting to run away was a bit stupid but really in character for her. Sawatari... okay, I don't accept that. Sawatari was simply dumb as hell. Like, seriously? Crow apparently has an entire gang, which is pretty neat. The security has some really broken cards, though. Ironically, these goons have better cards than the supposedly top duel chaser we saw in the last episode. Other than that... the duel was underwhelming, but that's to be expected. I want PLOT now.[/spoiler] [spoiler="My two cents"]Come to think about it, maybe the conflict between Yuuya and Crow mentioned in the synopsis for one of the future episode has something to do with the latter disapproving of the former's resorting to an Entertainment Duel during a situation like that. I hope that means both can get some development from their confrontation, with Yuuya learning that there are times when he won't be able to solve a conflict peacefully, and Crow understanding that there are others when it's best to opt for conciliation over confrontation. Because, from what I understand from the Sakaki family's philosophy, it's more than simply getting everyone to laugh together at their antics, but to always strive for a solution where all parts come out winning, instead of simply having the winner, whether they're on your side or not, crushing the opposition and taking all the spoils for itself. It's all about diplomacy and relativism - that is, not demonizing the enemy to the point of refusing to compromise with it at any circumstances - , I guess.[/spoiler] This. SO MUCH THIS. That's what some people seem to miss: it's not just about EGAO and stuff: it's about not letting conflict make you forget your humanity. It's an important point, one I wouldn't have expected a Yu Gi Oh series to make. Give the writers more credit, that's actually pretty damn deep for an anime on card games that save the world. Still, I concede that he could've used those pendulums before. Entertainment and strategy are not mutually exclusive. That said, I see what the writers are trying to pull. Yuya is not a GREAT duelist: his strength lies in his dragons and his berserk mode. He's still immature, and his Entertainment Dueling is not on the level of his father's yet. That's the entire basis of the conflict with Reiji. And forget Snipe Hunter, that synchro is Gugnir with unlimited uses per turn and a bit of Dark Strike Fighter too. WHY DID YOU TELL THEM HOW ACTION CARDS WORKED NEO NEO SAWATARI CONO BAKA But the Security here does play dirty when it comes to resistance or giving in. Whatever happened to ever questioning suspicion at first and then at first politely asking discretion for arrest under suspicion of committing a crime? But pretty much the only charges possibly Yugo could have gotten were trespassing into a forbidden zone and resisting arrest from a Security Cop. But one way or another, winning or losing in a duel against security is a major Catch-22. Yuya nevertheless was trying to make Reira feel more calm and egao a little more since he was away from his brother. He's a kid so he might be shy enough to not be able to defend people he doesn't even know about too much. But for Yuya, it was definitely intentional for him to make no strategy at all, since when you look at what he did either way, there was no way he could win off the bat, at least after Crow intervened. I can see why Yuya wanted to EGAO with the cops and make them and Reira feel at ease, but he has a long way to go before being like his dad. Whatever happened to ever questioning suspicion at first and then at first politely asking discretion for arrest under suspicion of committing a crime? But pretty much the only charges possibly Yugo could have gotten were trespassing into a forbidden zone and resisting arrest from a Security Cop. But one way or another, winning or losing in a duel against security is a major Catch-22. They didn't have problem with charging him with bodily harm even though there isn't even a victim of that supposed "bodily harm", and the fact that Yugo knew it would happen suggests that fabricated accuses are par of the course in Neo Neo Domino. It's pretty clear that the police is crooked as hell, and if you're a Common your life can be destroyed at the whim of any whiny Top or crooked cop.
