Once per turn, during either player's turn, if card(s) you control would be destroyed or targeted by your opponent's card effect: You can banish the top 2 cards of your Deck and target card(s) your opponent controls that would be an appropriate target(s); that effect now targets the new target(s). When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: Gain Life Points equal to that monster's Level or Rank x 200 points.

As you figured out, this is based on Espeon. Unlike the other Pokemon cards I made, this isn't using a pic of the actual Pokemon itself but rather an anthro/gijinka version of it.

Now then, the analogues to this card's effects.

  • First effect is Magic Bounce, in the sense that it can "bounce" a targeting effect onto the opponent; but OPT. In other words, this messes with a good amount of cards used in the meta (this means you, 101). Unlike the real ability though, it only does this once per turn, but you do get to choose what gets reflected.
  • Second effect is Morning Sun in a way, since the amount of LP you recover is dependent on how big the monster you destroyed was.

Anyway, you know what to do at this point: CnC/fix my OCG/love/hate/whatever.

Good reviews/CnC will be repped.

hahaha I recognize that Image ;) Part of my Pokevolution Season 5 Hybrids :P It is a fine image I will admit. Anyway now for the CnC.

First effect is interesting as anything Negative aimed at you can be aimed at your opponent instead. I would have suggested maybe a small cost though as the ability to "Bounce" an effect can becoming game changing. I was going to say "Hurr Espeon is not about Life Gain" but then I remembered that Psychics appriciate the extra Life Points. Level 6 is fine considering what it does and 2300ATK is pretty standard for a Level 6. Overall, I can see this woring well if your opponent activates say Mirror Force (Wait a sec.... How does Mirror Force work with this effect anyway? DOes it bounce the entire effect back? Or just target 1 monster your opponent controls and everything else you control is gone?) Now I am confused for cards that affect multiple targets including Espeon.

I will leave that with you though as you are the designer and you obviously meant well ^^ I am not going to give it a Numerical Rating as some people do not like it but I do like the idea.

Guess that you and I had the same idea for using that pic, lol.

Anyway, Espeon's effect only works against targeting effects, so Mirror Force will still get past it because it doesn't target. Same with something like Exciton/Black Rose.

I'll redo the effect so it deals with the opponent's effects, regardless if they're targeting or not so Exciton is dealt with. I'm saying Exciton, 101 [Ark Knight] and Mirror Force since they are used a lot in meta from what I know. Of course, you'll have to banish/mill your Deck as a cost to activate it. However, non-targeting/mass spinning (sending stuff back to the hand) isn't blocked by "Magic Bounce".

As for stuff with multiple targets, Espeon will simply choose the same amount of targets your opponent has and they get shot instead of yours. In the case of Mirror Force, it'll take out your opponent's Attack Position ones instead of yours with the new wording.

Thanks for the CnC though; repped.

The LP gain does help a bit with Psychics, since some of their cards revolve around LP costs to do stuff. Might not be too much though, but it helps to restore points taken in battle or to pay costs.
