The beginning and the part beginning at 4:30 are the best parts. Listen to those. :)

Note that this is the original mix of the song and not the version that actually got into the album (While by deadmau5.)

After the release of Wale's new album, I decided to take a listen to it and a few of the tracks had really stuck out, mainly for their creativity and their overall flow. Here are two tracks that I think really sounded the best.

I have half a batch, but haven't been motivated to do the other half, due to being really quite busy with exams and work experience. But, as always, the thread never dies, merely hibernates c:

Got some listening material this month, so check the opening post for the album I recommend this month. A bit of intelligent pop from Marina and the Diamonds.

The Wombats have a new album coming out this week.

Also Madeon. Also Passion Pit next week.

Also Frank Ocean in July.

Man this year is so much better than last year.

Anyway here's a song from the Wombats, idk

Yeah, this year has been great for me musically. I wholeheartedly look forward to the releases this year. It was a little quiet last year.

The Wombats are a band that I've not listened to, but that song's pretty good. Synthpoppy new wavy stuff with almost obnoxious amounts of distortion and modulation in there. That sets them quite nicely apart from similar indie rock/indie pop acts. Their new album looks pretty decent, so I'll check them out. Pretty album art too. I might have heard them mentioned by Welche a few times.

God, and so hyped for the new Frank Ocean record.

This thread will be back in full in the summer, after exam season dies down!

If you have any huge inklings, I'll probably respond to individual threads you post in Music, or any quick statuses :P

Album recommendation this month is San Fermin's Jackrabbit. Little baroque pop album from New York collective. Here's the title track. Great one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvHzV7ygaOA

oohh inklings i get it

I have no clue why, but Splatoon and that main theme gives me a Gorillaz vibe. Might just be because they have a song called Superfast Jellyfish and there's a vague sonic similarity. Or like a really squelchy, j-pop-influenced Rock Lobster.
