It was a little quiet last year. The Wombats are a band that I've not listened to, but that song's pretty good. Synthpoppy new wavy stuff with almost obnoxious amounts of distortion and modulation in there. That sets them quite nicely apart from similar indie rock/indie pop acts. Their new album looks pretty decent, so I'll check them out. Pretty album art too. I might have heard them mentioned by Welche a few times. God, and so hyped for the new Frank Ocean record. Might just be because they have a song called Superfast Jellyfish and there's a vague sonic similarity. Or like a really squelchy, j-pop-influenced Rock Lobster.
