Grading no so more entries places :D [spoiler=Rules] All YCM rules (duh) Post card lore underneath All 7 official Attributes are allowed. All 23 official TCG Types are allowed. No pop culture cards. After you enter your card you are allowed to make minor changes to it. If I noticed you have made changes (and I will be keeping a document of all the entries) and the changes were beyond what I determine to me minor you will be given one warning to go back and the chance your card, if after that it still doesn't resemble your original you will be DQd. Minor changes include (but not limited to) - OCG fixes -Grammar/Spell fixes -If you are not sure as to if your change is minor or major PM or ask in the thread Card entries should be new and your own work! -Please do not use old cards or post your cards on the YCM or other forums, it allows for others to judge them and gives you an unfair advantage. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Theme] Create an Extra Deck monster (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz), that has an unconventional way of being summoned. Few examples Synchros require x tuner + x non-tuners Xyz require monsters with levels equal to their rank Fusion needing a fusion spell Reading this you might already be thinking to yourself by Josholche, there is Starlight Road and Xyz monster that say "you can always Xyz summon using blah blah blah" and contact fusion is a thing. That is the directly the direction contest is going in![/spoiler] [spoiler=Task] Your challenge should you choose to accept it is to create 1 Extra Deck monster (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz) that breaks the mold so to speak and isn't summoned in the traditional since. Also you're allowed 1 Spell/Trap card to help summon your monster. Although this is not require I highly recommend doing so.[/spoiler] [spoiler=Entry]Anyone can enter :)[/spoiler] [spoiler=Deadline]November 8 Note date subject to change if not many people are showing interest it will end sooner. Likewise if many people are entering I may extend it. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Entry Fee/Prizes] Entry is free donations are accepted to help with prizes though The goal of paying the top 5 cards has been reached, and the winner will receive points based on a percentage of the pot. Donations are now greatly encouraged as it will allow me to split the percents and give the lower spots a few more points. Pot: 1000 Pts 1st - 58% 2nd - 24% 3rd - 13% 4th - 4% 5th - 1% [/spoiler] [spoiler=Judging Criteria] Total points = 40 I will be the only judge. jury. and executioner. OCG - 22.5% (9pt) - This is a big factor for me. I think it is important to use correct grammar and punctuation when creating a card. Balance 25% (10pt) - Kind of self explanatory. Don't create anything too strong/game breaking. Also I will take points off if I think the card is too weak/useless. Flavor- 12.5% (5pt) - How well does the work "within" itself. Meaning does the name, picture and stats all make sense. Design - 20% (8pt) - Does the entry follow the theme of Special Summoning an Extra Deck monster a special way? That is main what this section is about. Also note if you make 2 card I will not be judging them separately but rather how well they work together. Playability 20% (8pt) - You may think this goes along with balance, but no. This will be checking how well it could do in a "mock" game. I understand this can be extremely hard to determine given these are fake cards. Which is why it isn't worth much. But just keep in mind try to give you card some synergy with cards/decks that actually exist. [/spoiler] [spoiler=Extras] After the contest and I have graded and sent the results you will have 2 days to discriminate (via PM) any reason why I graded your card like I did. After all this the final results will be posted and winners announced! Written cards are allowed, however, I recommend at least including a summary of what the picture would be (otherwise you may loose Flavor points). Don't be in a rush! Just because you finished your card doesn't mean you need to post it right away! Review it. Make sure you're happy with it. Check things like spelling. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Xyz Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: *Up to 3 times per turn, you may detach an XYz Material from this card, and if you do; Banish a card on your oponents side of the field. [spoiler='Effect'] 1 Ritual Monster + 1 Fusion Monster + 1 Synchro Monster + 1 Xyz Monster Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards from either side of the field and/or your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can target 1 card on the field and banish it, then you can banish another card from either Graveyard. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this effect's activation. There can only be 1 face-up "Sophiera, Avatar of the Rebirth Goddess" on the field. This card is focused around Chaos Xyz Summoning needed cards. I know the pic is crap. [spoiler=Number 4X1-10 RankNova Quadra] This card must be Xyz Summoned by using either a Number 4 Xyz monster, a Number 8 Xyz monster, a Number 12 Xyz Monster, a Number 16 Xyz Monster, a Number 20 Xyz Monster, a Number 24 Xyz Monster, a Number 28 Xyz Monster, a Number 32 Xyz Monster, a Number 36 Xyz Monster or a Number 40 Xyz Monster as an Xyz Material. This card gains the Xyz Materials, the rank, The ATK and DEF and the effects of those cards. Once per turn you may detach one Xyz Material to add one 'Rank-Up Magic' card to the top of your deck. A monster with an ATK greater than the DEF of this monster must attack this monster. When a monster with an ATK greater than the DEF of this card attacks this monster, inflict the difference between ATK of the attacking monster and the DEF of this monster to your opponent's life points, then destroy the attacking monster. You can send from your Hand, Field, Deck or Extra Deck to the graveyard Fusion Materials for this card and Special Summon it from the Extra Deck (this is treated as a Fusion Summon). Once per turn if your lifepoints are 1000 or less you can Special Summon as many monsters with 2500ATK and 2000 DEF as possible from your Graveyard, Hand, and Extra Deck. During the turn you use this effect only monsters summoned by this effect can declare an attack.
