Dragonecro Nethersoul Dragon

I had fun trying to make this card work. It sucked tho my Rank went down like 200 attempting to. The problem I always had was not the 1 Super Poly, it was getting it all together. Mathematician and Sabatiel are not searchable cards, so getting that Winged Kuriboh so I could get my Super Poly abuse going was meh. This card rewards you tho if you can put it together. I used a bunch of low level tuners and somehow ended up with Quasar in one situation (Don't ask how it all happened, I didn't even know what I was doing, but Black Rose + Mist Bird + Formula), but really this card just suffers from not being realistic and not being supportive to the Zombie engine. I really wish it was good enough, especially since the Unizombie coming soon makes for a 1 card of this and a 2 card Star Eater, but I just don't see it happening as much as I absolutely love this card :( As for Vampires, I think it could work, but wait til Unizombie is around. It would at least be a good side deck card to compete with Qliphorts since not a lot of your Rank 5s will be able to compete with Skill Drain, but this + Unizombie = Star Eater, which is too good not to pass up in that specific matchup

Super Poly abuse is for chumps.  Real men summon this thing with normal Poly if they must, and only with Super Poly when they can. (though I admit, Super Poly'ing into this guy by knocking out two opposing monsters has gotta be one of the most satisfying things in YGO.  Discard Mezuki for bonus points)

That aside, what kind of deck are you using that has Mathematician, Sabatiel, Winged Kuriboh, and this? :\ Either everybody that's finding trouble making this guy work is doing it wrong, or I'm doing it way too right...which are both possibilities I kind of doubt a little.  There's no need to build a deck specifically for Dragonecro; just stick it in a zombie deck with a few Polys and the one Super Poly.  You'll notice the difference.

I had this hilarious idea that if you could abuse Super Poly and recycle it and get a bunch of low level tuners together, you could spam a whole bunch of Synchros using your opponent's monsters as fodder and, well, they can't respond. Sabatiel - The Philosopher's Stone searches Super Poly, which requires Winged Kuriboh in the Graveyard. Mathematician fulfills this condition. I thought it would at least do ok but it did......... really bad. In my opinion, I just don't see where the room or purpose is when you can just focus on Synchro or Xyz Summoning, but I've always wanted to give this behemoth a chance.

Actually, if I remember right: There is that new Korean card called PM Capture that just so happens to be a Lv 5 zombie pendulum. If you use Trump Witch and say... Flash Knight, you could summon this guy three times by pendulum summoning 2 PM's and then fusing using Trump.

EDIT: Scratch that, PM is Lv 4

If searching Winged Kuriboh is the main problem, wouldn't Shining Angel/Nova Summoner also do the trick?  Doesn't put him in the graveyard, but does put him on the field for potential Synchro Summoning or even Transcendant Wings.

If you don't mind waiting a bit (my computer's a bit slow at present, but should be fine in ten minutes or so), we could go Dragonecro vs. Dragonecro to compare and contrast the vastly different decks we've each got for the guy.

I just saw this. Anywho, the problem is not just that, it's more or less getting all the pieces together in general. Your Super Poly, your Zombie World, and it just was not so consistent. trying to get everything off. I'll be up for showing my current build of it tho. PM Me

As a recent discovery via status bar the other day, it seems that the TCG and OCG have potentially conflicting rulings. The TCG wording of this card explicitly mentions that all aspects of its effect only activates when it battles a monster with an original Level. Apparently, the OCG has it where this card still drops the other monster to 0, but won't Summon a Token if it can't copy the Level.

Which seems strange if that's the case, because I thought most PSCT wordings adhered quite accurately to the OCG.

Maxx C and C107 disagree.

To be perfectly honest, I'd like to know what you're talking about. I'm not exactly the most knowledgable about the game, but the wiki has no rulings that would be different in TCG vs OCG for either of those cards.

Maxx C has been consistently written wrong since it got PSCT. It should say you can only use its effect once per turn, not the card itself. It means if you use its effect, you cannot Call etc it the same turn.

C107 was mistranslated to prevent effects from activating, not effects on the field.
