Dog King Posted November 24, 2014 Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 ok so this wouldnt of been an issue when the forums were active and stuff, But now its like 5 posts a day per section and there isnt anything interesting here compared to other ygo forums which are much more active Obv theres the card maker but id say about 80% of ppl who make cards dont post anyways So what kind of features can you possibly add to the forums, like what plugins or w/e could add some kind of pixel awards to your account, It sounds pointless but people do love getting cooler stuff than other people How bout achievements, for posts/reps etc, For making popular threads etc, Maybe theres an option to add some cool border around peoples avatar, e.g. A shiny silveone or a shiny gold one or shiny platnium or idk Maybe tochange the colour of your name or even the font of it (from a selection of fonts) All this would be earned from being active and might make the forum active, But I do feel that even if these are possible, none of the mods/admins wil be bothered to do this, I honestly want to here the opinions of a few mods, and what the problem of doing stuff like this would be Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We didn't before because I dunno why but I couldn't get it to work. However, all badges must be put into one image to be put on the side. That's something only YCMaker would have access to. I have a rule of thumb for myself not to mess with things if I don't know what I'm doing, which is why I typically don't play around with the plugins and such. Dog King Posted November 24, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 i know that ycmaker is never active or anything but he isnt dead either, Try and show some enthusiasm, maybe get as forum project to go google any possible cool plugins the forum would love, etc, Then peolle discuss interesting things etc, I always lets say opening packs on any game, if its fifa or w/e, i know theres that point system but its not very fun is it So even ideas like those are possible,e.g. Lets say you win an avi border title or some cool signature outlune or something Ycmaker created the card maker from scratch, these are more simple ideas that im not saying ycmaker can make but surely others have, So basically after discussions etc just try and encourage ycmaker, leave notices on the mod forums, email etc, he may see this is what ppl here want etc and might work on something Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Looking at your ideas, a few of them are probably able to be implemented; but might require plugins or additional coding. Dog King Posted November 24, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 24, 2014 yeh but just a few event achievements dont mean anything to people, Gotta have more ethusiasm, like loads of small achievemnts that you can have specialy listed under your sig, or simething for posts or threads etc, Maybe even get new different custom borders for the card maker for people with a specific achievemnt, i doubt it would be hard to implement, just gotta ask for it Even a ycm portql page with updates from mods and cool stuff like card of the day with polls, I honestly wont a proper good reason why you arent trying to do any of these suggestions so far,i mean you maket ycmaker to be dead or something Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This is one of the reasons why similar attempts to revive it in Custom Cards failed. If this were MyBB, we could have small icons on your profile page for achievements [much like he did for Twitter things in 2009-2010ish], but you know full well we aren't anymore.
